Cafe Solaire is located admist picturesque landscape of Golden Palms.A very popular weekend getaway to escape from the city hustle and bustle. I was fortunate to capture some scenery in my camera.
I opted for lavish buffet spread which was mix of Indian and continental.My favorites on the menu were Dahi bhalla ,Mexican Egg salad and Anar ki creamy fruit salad.Dahi Bhalla was placed along a chutney stand,very thoughtful!Roti basket and the gravy accompaniments were average.
The dessert counter was impressive. My palate looked colorful with carrot and banana shortbread,strawberry cheese berry cake and yellow pineapple pudding. Chocolate dipped jamuns were worth a try.

We went to this place for a wedding! Their Mutton biryani / pulao is to die for! They usually have a nice array of sweets available after their buffet dinner. Indian food is good and the place is very comfortable to be at.
We had gone there to celebrate my sister's wedding anniversary . Firstly , I loved the experience here its a beautiful place to get that much needed break . The spa was just amazing as well as relaxing too. Coming down to dining experience at cafe solaire , the buffet was spectacularly amazing . I have been to a couple of buffets and I always feel stuffed or too full after just having the starters . But cafe solaire is an exception . The food is right on point not spicy at all and not too much on your appetite .Last but not the least , I want to conclude by saying I had the best buffet ever.
Easily one of the best resort's in Banglore!..A great place to go out on a holiday with family and friends!..The swimming pool is tagged along with a Pool Bar.! A well equipped Indoor and outdoor games!.. Coming to the FOOD!, Brilliant!. Good services offered by the stuff crew.

Good food with long spread of buffet and it's one of the best compared with any other Resorts. We went for family get together and awesome time for day out, best part is huge swimming pool. Back to Food , their lunch buffet has long spread and much beyond the in quality compared to any other resorts. Food taste and variety also is good . You have many options for vegetarian food. Fish and chicken preparation is great here. Ambiance is not that spacious but do not fall in congested category either. High celing and big glass window give majestic feel of the place next to pool.
Awesome place and food. Never expected the food to be this yummy. But it was so awesome. Even the cup of coffee was so perfect. Service was also too good.
Was here for a team lunch. The food was delicious and the service smooth. The ambience was perfect, a high room and the solar theme. I enjoyed the fish and the chicken here.
We went in a big group to stay here for a couple of days. No doubt, this is an awesome place, well maintained with good greenery and a huge swimming pool. The staff is courteous as well. Coming to the food, breakfast if decent with a good spread. But the lunch and dinner options are not so great. Some of the items are spicy and some didn't taste great. Compared to the food in usual resorts, this is definitely way ahead. Will recommend this place for someone going with friends or family groups to chill and relax...
Highly satisfactory Sunday brunch with unlimited beer and soft drinks. There were few live grill counters serving multitude of starters. Very enjoyable day out. Small families don't need to book.

No doubt the cafe is placed in one of the most best possible place in a resort!! Neatly tucked away behind a huge pool here!! Been here on a day out and had a buffet and snacks here!! The buffet was multi cuisine ,the vegetarian se tion boasted a huge menu tough most of them had egg in them !! The chats were to be self made and desserts from the west were good where as our Indian sweets were bad,carrot halwa ,dum aloo and spinach chow mein needs a mention!! Ambience is neat,looks like a medieval place with refurnished furniture!! Mixed thought about the food for lunch,but later in the evening when they served snacks they served some cold ,before made breadrolls,fought with him to get some fresh french fries!!

When you are staying in this resort, this is the main restaurant for food. The lunch and dinner buffet here is quite expensive and since we didn't have the appetite to eat so many items in the buffet, we opted for a la carte.
For lunch, we ordered egg noodles and vegetable pulao. The egg noodles was tasty and pulao was also good. Rates for ala carte are also high.
For dinner, we ordered khichdi and vegetable biriyani. Khichdi had right amount of spice and was good. Even the biriyani was cooked well with right amount of spices and vegetables. It was served with a very creamy raitha. There are many variety of desserts served in the buffet and you can have through ala carte at extra charges. We tried a few deserts, but the best was the kiwi pastry which was light and fluffy and the walnut pie which was soft and not too sweet. The other desserts like halwa and pudding were not that good.
We had the breakfast buffet, and to be honest, I was disapointed! There was continental, south Indian, north Indian, cereals, bread, egg, but only a few items were really good. The ones I liked were the croissants, danish rolls, donuts, and masala omelette (live counter for egg preparation was outside).
The north Indian items like paratha and poha did not taste good and even idli and dosage were not up to the mark.
Ambience inside is nice and spacious. Ala carte items are better in taste than buffet!
Great food, fun filled, exotic property. We went in a one day trip to golden palms. The buffet is awesome considering the quality and wide range of options. Wonderful ambiance and hospitality. Must visit place for awesome food and day out...
This place I must say, the food was extremely good, they have a wide spread to choose from, rite from the salads to the desserts!.! Every dish was amazing to the last bite I had. We were in the resort for 2days, and the only thing we enjoyed was the food over here!.! Amazing variety and hospitality !.! They have buffet for all 3 courses - breakfast, lunch and dinner!. If U are craving for some good food and long drive, then you got to try this place for sure, I can guarantee that you wouldn't be disappointed.

4 for the resort. One of the best resorts in bangalore, any day. The rest of it, well, not a fan. Have been to better ones. But, for a day out, I would give a thumbs up to Golden palms.
The Golden Palms is one of the best resorts I have been to.... When it comes to ambience, the pool, hospitality... Definitely stands out... Food...was osam!!! We have a heavy breakfast that included South Indian and English cusines... Lunch was a great... Food was well served.... Mutton biriyani was the best here.. Tender and aromatic... Mutton rogan Josh was good too.... Veggies also had a good time... Overall food was good across members of my team... And the best part after lunch is.. The biggest pool I have stepped into... Awesome time all together
Been here was a team outing it was great unlimited drinks was there and dj was there ,food was bad , not as per the bill they generated.

Well I was there for pool masti, so food didn't matter that much. But overall it was good.
The buffet here was extravagant. So much to try and a lot of variety. The non vegetarian section was impressive except the lamb chops. The vegetarian section was disappointing and i had friends who really didn like the food. I was happy with the non veg though. And ugh the beer was absolute bullshit.

Its a part of the resort itself. . I liked it. Its calm m serene with a good ambience. The food ws good though we ordered just a sandwich. Do try the sandwiches here they r just delicious. Nd cold coffee is really good. Bt its a little bit on d expensive side though its worth it.

This is not a stand alone restaurant outlet but a restaurant within the premises of this hotel. You will certainly be bored of dinner buffet as the items remains same more or less.
They had good breakfast, it was complete blend or South Indian and continental food items which included sausages , hash brown , idli , wada etc.
The Sunday brunch is one of the best buffet i have ever had in an restaurant. The buffet was arranged in the pool side with more than 25 live counters & with unlimited softdrinks & beer.

One of the best places to have continental breakfast....so many times I have found myself buying the day package here only because of the pool and the breakfast at CAFE SOLAIRE.
Its fresh, its yummy and its got lots of variety. The bread is soft and freshly prepared (or purchased) and not the kind that gives out a lot of crumbs. My favourites are the sausages!! I love sausages, I really do, so the first time I came here I ended up filling up on sausages alone!!
To go with the sausages you have plenty of options like toast, boiled eggs, sandwiches, salami, scrambled eggs (perfectly made :-) as well), juices and milk. Hash browns are another favourite. The best part about them being that they don't reek of oil like the other places I've tried them in.
The ambience is great and if the weather is good (which it always is..thanks Bangalore), it makes for a truly memorable experience to have breakfast by the amazing pool side of Golden Palms!!
Fresh seasonal fruits, salads, pastas, breads, grilled delicacies and desserts give you a varied choice of finger licking delicacies to gorge on! Go there on an empty stomach and enjoy the breakfast buffet to the max!

I would say it's a must visit cafe for the couple's.
The pool, the garden the music and interiors have such a calming effect. Additional info I would like to add now is that this pace is about 10kms from hesarghatta lake so a coffee here and later the lake would definitely sort out a weekend.
In the night the menu gets limited to very few beverages and some sandwiches.
Since it was almost midnight we had called before we reached and made sure that it was open but since the cafe is inside the hotel we were not allowed as the hotel gets closed early.
It was all because of one of the arrogant security heads who kept on arguing that place was closed even though it was open.
That person would not just let us in. Once we raised our voice it was an easy walk inside. That was the only upsetting part.
The place is worth a try for a weekend get away.
