Chum chum dipped in flavourful malai is sure to make you drool over it, super fresh and tasty.
Malai roll and Malai chum chum are my favourites. Rich taste yet not overly sweet, perfect for me.
Best place in Bangalore to have Bengali sweets. I love their snacks as well Sinhala, veg chop and radhaballabi. Though the price is high but it’s worth having once in a while.
Reminds me of the Calcutta delicacies . Very authentic taste . Rasagolla , chop, Misti doi, peda.. all the sweets at one place . The USP is baked rasagollas. Taste is yum . Couldn’t stop eating . Parking is an issue
Amazing bengali sweets. Love the sandesh and the gur sweets. Their beetroot chop is also really good ! Recommended if you love bengali sweets.
Whenever I am in that area or when that sweet cravings hit or flying overseas this is the place I go to . The sweets are always fresh . Everything they sell taste authentic . Ras malai and ghee ladoo are my personal fave .
Sweets from the sweetest part of India. Yes. Absolute go-to place for delicious Bengali sweets when you have a sweet craving. They also have samosas, veg chop, radhabollovi and such snacks. Misti doi available in different sized containers. I find the place a bit costly though. It pains to pay 35-40 bucks for one rosogolla. 😭 However to reduce the pain, we shouldn't compare with the prices of sweets in Kolkata. Quality is good.
No sitting arrangements available.
Overall I find it to be the closest n best bengali sweet shop around Indiranagar and Ulsoor. Kuchh meetha ho jaye 😃
If you are looking for some Bengali sweets in Bangalore, this is the place for you. They have a variety of sweets available like swar bhaja, lengcha, roshogolla, kheer kadam etc. Apart from sweets they also serve snacks like shinghara, vegetable chop, Radhavallabi and aalour dum, etc.
The Misti doi is almost at par with the one which you get in Kolkata, and it is also available in earthen pot.
It's a small sweet shop, so don't expect too much on the ambience side. Prices are in middle to higher range.
Taste of the sweets is good, can be improved a lot, and they should have microwave to serve the sweets hot, which they often don't do.
Craving for Rosogolla? Well then close your eyes and just have the Banchharam's Rosogollas..
They have amazing authentic Bengali sweets available.
Must must must Try: Rosogolla and Rasmalai.

Food : 4 /5 . Loved Their Radhaballavi ( the poori is fried in ghee with sweet lentils paste inside served with sweet allo dum ) and Misti doi . Veg cutlet is good though .
Price : economic.
If you are a Bengali craving for sweets from Bengal, this is the place to go to. Majorly a takeaway joint, you could choose to stand next to a table and munch on, if you are really hungry! Taste-wise, I find this place authentic Bengali. Of course, it's more expensive than in Bengal, but it is expected. Choice of sweets is decently plenty. Singara(samosa) is great.
Proper Misti Doi after such a long time !! Reminiscences of the motherland with every bite. The best thing about this place - You might as well have been having the sweets and the Doi at their Ganguly Bagan outlet, the same top notch quality :)
Excellent Bengali sweet shop serving all types of typical Kolkata sweets and snacks.Very good quality.Just like back in Kolkata.tried the beetroot chop, kachori, kheerkadam, mishti doing.excellent stuff.
This is a small joint which u can very easily miss but they have tasty Bengali sweets. Their kheer kadam is brilliant and even snacks like samosas and the kachoris are delicious. They are well priced and a good competitor to KC Das
It was a neat interior..!! Prices or neither cheap nor expensive..!! Being a non bongali i really loved and enjoyed the tastes..!! It was real good..!! We bought a piece of Sarbhog of worth 35/- one piece..!!! It was real good with kova inside..!! The colour after frying it was superb...!! The next one we ordered was maharajbogh which is of same price..!! Its almosted tasted like jaggery version of rosagulla..!! It was too very gud..!! Just loved bancharams...!!!
A sweet shop close to my place that I always wanted to try. It's a nice and tidy place with a good variety of traditional north Indian sweets basically from Kolkata. I loved the gulab jamun there, it had a very homely taste. I didn't like the service though, even though it's just a sweet shop doesn't mean you forget the need to serve with a smile or with a happy face. I'm giving it a 3.5 rating just because of the service that I received, otherwise good place with good sweets.
When we were in Calcutta a few weeks back, and asked our taxi driver what they considered the best sweet shop there, he said "Banchharam". Having grown up on KC Das in Bangalore for so many years, I find this way better and fresher in taste. The savories are pretty good too, great place for a light lunch. Also finally a good place for Misti Doi!!!
Bancharam is a kolkata based bengali sweet shop and has its branches in blore too. I find their sweets quite overpriced in kolkata also. But their savoury items are quite good spclly the radhaballavi and veg chop. Singaras are okay. I prefer sweets of kanti sweets more though. Anyways will go back for the chop for sure
This is a place where you can get authentic Bengali Sweets. I personally feel that the taste you get here is better than A2B and Anand Sweets at comparatively lower price. They have wide varieties of sweet out of which my personal favourites are Jaggery Rasgulla, Misti Dahi, Kala Jamun and Peda.
Truly authentic Bengali sweets and treats ..worth the drive across town just to satisfy a homesick craving! Warm service too so double thumbs up!!
For authentic bengali sweets in Bangalore, this is my personal best choice of all. Taste is good, quality us awesome, hygiene is maintained and price is little on higher Side but never mind as I have a sweet tooth. Love the baked rasogolla, simply wow, it has 5 rasogollas and covered with baked khoa and I am sure u won't be able to resist urself after only one. Jalbhara talsash, misti doi, pantua, lal rasogolla, ladykani, kheerkadam, rasomalai.. whatever I name I liked them all. Samosa and radhavallavi is also available for snacks.
A place which could be easily missed on busy Cambridge Layout. So figuring out will be little difficult for first timers visting this layout.
We often visit Sai temple adjacent, but never figure this out. Untill last Thursday, when we were walking past this lane. No doubt, its appealing on top of it already a famous sweet joint of Kolkata having branch in Bengaluru, we had to stop by.
Famous for its Bengali sweets, we ordered Chum-Chum which was fresh and juicy. Rosogolla was equally good. But best part was Misti Doi we take away. This was truely incredible. Ohh....the moment I mentioned it.....started carving. I would definitely be visiting tonight post dinner to grab my share.

Was introduced to this place by a colleague. Its a narrow shop on a busy stretch of Cambridge Layout - easy to miss!
The bengali sweets & snacks are quite authentic and priced alright. The taste of the 'singhada' takes me back to the bylanes of Kolkata.
I would rate this outlet over a KC Das.
A must go to place for Bengalis & those with a sweet tooth.
A perfect joint to relinquish your sweet tooth. Found their sweets so fresh, soft & tender. Exactly the way they are supposed to be made. Love their chum-chum the most !!! Though I am not a sweet/ dessert lover but for bancharam I'm any day ready. Make sure you visit them during early evening hours as they get finished with their sweets too early..
"Bancharam er baagan"(Bancharam's garden) a tale that is passed on to the gennext in Bong households.. Bancharam is synonym to yummilicious sweets back in Kolkata. So one look at the board and i was dashing in..
Being a Bong and sweet being the next 'rice&fish' back home this joint really doesn't meet up the Bong expectations.
But still if you are really craving you find a myriad of sweets (read 'chenna' and just not khoya sweets) here. The rossogollas n pantuas/laengcha(gulab jamun family) is good enough. So are the rasmalais and cutlets and singaras(samosa). The disappointment comes from the sandesh range(dry khoya sweets). Overpriced and not up to the mark.
P.S. all the snack items here are devoid of onion and garlic.

For me , Bancharam is synonymous with bengali sweets or "mishti" in bangla It has been a known Brand of Authentic Bengali Sweets & Savouries in
Kolkata and now has a good name in Bangalore too.
My top pick from this shop is yummy Mishti Doi , Roshogulla and Chum Chum.Among the savouries or namkeens, I like their Singhara and Vegetable chaps. This is must visit place for all those who love taste of bengali sweets. My rating is 3.5/5 for delectable sweets and savouries.Wish you a great 2015 ahead !-Nitin HajelaTheFoodieTales.com
The samosas here are filled generously with potatoes, cauliflower & peanuts.. delicious!
nolen gur sondesh, rasmalai & kheer kadam are to die for!
A Sweet Shop extremely popular at Calcutta!
I was EXTREMELY excited when I found out Bancharam has found its way to Bangalore over a year back. Went here the first opportunity I had, being born and brought up at Calcutta I have a very strong sweet tooth.
Contrary to popular belief a Bengali Sweet Shop doesn't ONLY sell sweets, in fact a typical visit to a sweet shop in Bengal starts with savory snacks and culminates in abundance of sweets.
I have now visited this place numerous times, ate off the shelf and also carried home boxes of sweets. Here is my list of stars in this shop:
1. Bengali Samosa (Singhara): this is very different from the typical north indian samosa, it is small, the stuffing is less spicy and has either peanuts or cauliflower.
2. Vegetable Chop: This is Bengal's take on Veg Cutlet, it is way more spicy, has a prominent presence of beetroot and an extremely crisp outer layer.
Now to the main course: two options here either Radha Balvi or Parotta with aloo
3. Radha Ballavi: While it belongs to the puri family radha balavi is very unique, it is a large size kachori with daal stuffing and very soft, this is typically served with aloo dum Bengali style.
4. Parotta with aloo: This is very similar to the Kerala Coin Paratha or the lachcha paratha, made from maida it is extremely soft and well baked, again accompanied with a aloo in gravy.
Both of the above dishes are cooked live on an order inside their kitchen, so you need to time you visit too late or too early in the day they wouldn't serve the main course dishes.
Of course all of this is to be had standing or sitting in the couple of chairs at the shop, in true Bengali tradition. Now comes the best part, here is the list of sweets not to miss:
1. Kheer Kadam: this is a rassgulla in the middle covered in a layer of khova.
2. Mishti Doi: Sweet Curd
3. Rassgulla
4. Malai Chum Chum - this is a cylindrical sweet like a rasgulla in the center but covered in a layer of Malai.
5. Kesar Chum Chum
And of course all other sweets are great but these are definitely the stars I would pick.
I keep going back for more and writing this review has got me prepared for my next visit tomorrow :).
This place was once IDEA customer service center a year ago ... this place is right next to OM sai skanda dosa camp for locating it easily (in case if you find any difficulty in locating )..
Initially I never noticed a single customer , This was almost a year ago , but now gradually they've increased and I should mainly say its due to the quality of the sweets .
Visited this place very recently , tried the rasgulla and rasmadhuri .
Rasgulla was so damn awesome and the best i've had till today, No idea if it was due to the freshness or the technique of preparation , It was the best :)
It was the first time I tasted rasmadhuri ... well !! the awesomeness continues ...
Coming to the price , I felt it a little expensive .
Value for money - 5/10
food quality - 8/10
Best Bengali sweets available in Bangalore. They also keep ‘nolen gurer Rosogolla’ during winter and ‘pithe’ during sankranti. There is samosa and other snacks in the evening time. We Love to go there.
Visited this place for matka dhoi n that is authentic bengali dhoi. So tasty n so soothingly
The taste rhe food offers is top-notch.
Twice I bought Large Jalbhara Sandesh from their Sai Baba Road outlet. Both times it was very stale.Avoid buying these Sandesh from this Outlet
Lip smacking sweets made with Bengali love and care. All who are their sweets were unanimously overjoyed with them.
Oh my God, the Nolan Gur malai rolls and other sweets were excellent, so fresh and sooo tasty

Very small shop, meant mainly for takeaway, difficult to eat when crowded
Always special for Bengalees..a place for authentic Bengali veg snacks and sweets of all types along with bancharam specialities
Ideal place for Bengali sweets. Price is on the higher side though
If you like Bangali swéet this is perfect place for you.
Neat n clean, good options of sweet and namkeen items.
All items are fresh and tasty. Must try Baked rasogull, delicious.
Perfect place to get authentic Bengali sweets. Tons of variety available. The problem is the very high cost of a lot of items. But at times, the cost is simply overpowered by the superb quality.
Sweet shop in cambridge layout. They originates from kolkata n have sweetness for rosogulla in their sweet. In this difficult time they don't much variety of sweets but still you can find one for you. Price seems nominal. Hygiene was maintained. Parking could be an issue.
This place rocks... Sweets are damn good, tasty and from so many years this place has the same taste.
Loved it and i alwaus purchase from here for every family occasions and also festivals, parties, etc
Regards,
Abhijith Krissh
