A family place for a peaceful dinner. The food is pretty good.
Quaint is what I'll call this place. Visited this place back to back. Once tried the outdoor seating. The second time had to sit indoors as I just couldn't bear the mosquitoes. The food is fantastic. A fish starter, chicken starter, daal fry and ghee rice. Everything spot on and the portions were gracious. Also the roti platter was just perfect. The staff if polite. The captain's ensure service is quick and very courteous. In all a good experience. Will recommend and come. A star less as the outdoor seating is something I loved but couldn't enjoy due to the mosquitoes.
This Indian speciality restaurant located in church street serves some amazing food.
Ambience is decent with comfortable indoor seating and a little conjusted outdoor seating.
Starters that I tried was amazing. I tried brocolli which was well spiced and served perfectly with onions and bell peppers.
Main course is lip smacking. Mushroom masala for veg and Hyderabadi chicken curry for non veg, I enjoyed both. Breads are little over priced.
Everything was fine apart from the service which disappointed me a little as staffs didn't seem to be interested in providing service.
Apart from that the overall experience was wonderful.
So today we wanted to have some good north Indian food . Checked zomato reviews and finally landed here .
It has a nice ambiance and but the place is little small for large crowd.
Good for couples and small families .
We had ordered tandoori murgh , matka murgh and ghee rice.
Chicken was perfectly cooked with perfect blend of masalas.
I can give 5 on 5 for authentic taste of north India .
But only drawback what I faced was the behavior of the stuff
They didnt give us time to order or decide they were in hurry. We said we will order the started first and then go for main course they were not giving us time at all. No courtesy and worst behavior. On top of that one waiter literally told me sir you can't take much time to order main course , you have to hurry it's a small restaurant .
Like seriously ? Thats how you behave with customers , no ethicate .
I wish I could give 0 for hospitality and rude behaviors.
Dear management please look into this.
One of the best place in church street for outing with family. Very well etiquettes of the staff and the kitchen preparations .. mmmm .. nom nom.
Must try: hyderbadi chicken, chicken biriyani
Excellent food and service.
Nice food! Must visit once if I like continental.
One of the very few places which serve good North Indian food. The place is bit tiny and it’s recommended that you book prior to your visit in order to avoid long waiting time. The ambience is very beautiful and feels grand. The staffs are very courteous and nice. Starters, main course, Indian breads all are quite good. Hopefully they will improve the dessert section a bit more. Few more variety and better taste.
Discovered Roomali whilst browsing on Zomato Gold restaurants - and was extremely happy with the food here! With a prime location on Church Street, Roomali serves authentic North Indian food - with a touch of fine dining in place. The Lasuni Murgh and Butter Chicken are must tries here. Portions of food are perfect, and although the service is a tad bit slow, it's a great place for some lip smacking rotis and tandoor food! Cost for two is around Rs. 800/- and definitely worth it! Definitely a gem hidden on Church street, it's a great place to stop by with your family!
This place surprises you with its great decor. Food is well above average and prices are quite reasonable. Staff is courteous and makes good suggestions. Mr Richard was particularly helpful and polite.
The icing on the cake is that they have dedicated parking on Church Street. To be honest it's quite strange that this place isn't more popular. It's got all the ingredients to be a "go to" Indian restaurant.
The rommali roti is to die for. Paneer khurchan and
Dum pulao were also one of the finest you can find.
Small but super pretty place with just the right ambience! Very courteous staff and they took care of our every need. Ordered the Tandoori kebab and Kalmi kebab which both tasted really good. For main course we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Hyderabadi along with roti basket (the size of the rotis here are quite small, one downside) . The chicken Hyderabadi tasted nothing like the spicy curry you'd expect, but it wasnt bad at all. Definitely recommend this place as Zomato gold is just a cherry on top.
A hidden gem on church street. Roomali is a place for people who loves indian cuisine. Place is very classy, even decor attracts your attention immediately you entered the place.
For starters we opted for murgh malaiwala, a chicken preparation with cream and milk. Murgh malaiwala won't disappoint you. Chicken is properly cooked and very soft.
Lasooni murgh, a chicken preparation with fried garlic and yogurt.
Both the starters are awesome in taste and it won't disappoint you.
For main course we opted garlic naan and murgh makhni.
I feel place is quite good and in their food preparation and hospitality.
Special mention for their staffs who were quite fast in service and very courteous to the customers. Kudos to their service.

Craving good North Indian Cuisine? Look no further. This is a fabulous joint and easy on the pocket too.
Butter chicken was awesome and chicken biryani was also very delicious.
Ambience is nice with outdoor sitting.
Roomali located at church street is fine dining restaurant specializing in Mughlai and North Indian cuisine.
All the dishes are prepared and presented nicely.
The ambience is great and service is quick.
Taste is Good.....Nice Place to Have Dinner with Family.....Food Quantity was also Good and Service was also Not that Much Slow.....Overall Good Place.
This place serves great food! One of the best places to have authentic north Indian food in Bengaluru. The started which we tried was the lasooni chicken which was a garlic based dish. The chicken was very succulent and the flavour was bang on.
The murg Makhani is one of the best I've eaten. It was perfectly sweet, the way I like butter chicken.
The various breads went great with the butter chicken. The best one was the roomali ;)
The jal jeera here is very good. A big glass of it with less sugar and soothing for the stomach.
Also this place has gold!
If you're in Church street don't miss this place.
Loved the ambience which is the thing this place is famous for. I wouldn't call it cheap because they charge an extra 10 percent service charge but that shouldn't be a problem if you're someone looking for excellent service at hands. Absolutely loved the ambience ,food and locality! Would visit again!

This place is very beautiful. Ambience is great. Food is tasty and yummy. Staff is great. Would definitely visit again.
About this place i will only say FOOD is BEST. The place offers great food and nice ambiance. They have good parking space as well.
Roomali is an extremely good place to go for dinner. The food is simply brilliant. They care about what they do, and its quite ambiance just does wonders. Its not tought on the pocket either. I'll be coming here again and again. See you there. 🙂👌👌
An absolutely smashing place to have food on church street. Located almost towards the end of church street the restaurant is unmissable due to restaurant building. The service is one of the best that I have experienced till date. The food is amazing. I would recommend Roomali to anyone.

Staff can be more courteous. Did not accept gold and started giving all kinds of excuses
A small place but with very ambience and mouth watering food. You can enjoy the delicious cusines with good music. Even the service was so good that I was unable to exclude the charge from my bill...
Awesome place. Not a very large setup but its appealing and soothing. They serve tastiest food and definitely i need to mention about their top notch playlist
The food is oily but delicious. the dal makhani is good, the garlic nan is very tasty, the rogan Josh is a bit of a miss. a personal quibble of mine is the usage of lamb as opposed to mutton but most restaurants in bangalore tend to do that. Rogan Josh is also very oily, but again, quite alright if you don't mind that kind of thing. murgh kalimirch is pretty good. service is par excellence.
It's located on church street and ambience is quite good. They have indoor and outdoor sitting. Staff is also quite professional. Food was good here.
Great ambience, great food, exceptional service by Suban.
Go give this place a try. Zomato gold applicable. Cost per person around 250-300 after gold.
A nice place amidst bursting Church Street with a lovely live Balcony
Manager Christopher is a great help
Good North Indian food , we had Non Veg platter, roti , daal makhni, mutton Rogan Josh , butter chicken - well cooked
Felt satisfied
Overall nice place with multiple options as they have white room and one more restaurant under their umbrella.
Only Dal makhani was a turn off.
A small restaurant on church street that has a plethora of options. Roomali offers a wide range in their menu along with 1+1 on food via Zomato gold.
Do try their palak paneer. It's definitely different compared the traditional method of making it.
The service is fast. And the service staff are extremely polite.
Since the number of seating is limited, it's advisable to book your table during peak hours.
Peaceful North Indian place amidst the bustling Church Street. Good food, music, and balcony seating is fun.
Food - 4/5
Service - 3.5/5
Ambience - 4/5 (balcony and music)
We ordered butter chicken, dal makhani, roomali roti, and naan. Butter chicken and roomali were the best. Dal Makhani wasn't cooked that well as dal was a bit hard but it was tasted good.
Service was okay, as they seemed a bit confused and things weren't chaotic. Could be because it was near closing time. Asking to change the choice of beverage didn't seem to go down with one of the guys. Manager is helpful though.
Choice of music was really good for a weather like Bangalore's.
The whole area with this place, Mandarin, and White room has a really good vibe.
Wonderful food, good ambience and excellent service from Suban. The recommended dishes were exquisite. We Will definitely come back again!!!
Food, ambience and price. Everything is worth the visit. The staff is extremely polite. Wanna have great food in great ambience. Must visit.
My go-to restaurant whenever I feel my account will allow me to go.
The best Paneer curries in the city!
Their Non-veg collection is also delicious, as per my friends and colleagues.
A very good place to have a dinner or lunch date. It has an outdoor dining facility too with good ambience around. People serving in the restaurant are very polite and decent. The manager Mr. Christopher is very patient and coperative.
Would surely like to visit again.
A little costly but food is great , best India food.....
The roties are big that they provide......
All India curries are available.............
Must try once......
This is one of the best restaurant in Church Road. I love the soup, Starters were delicious, Main course were mouth watering. Staffs were polite and kind. Sagai and Christopher were the best and they looked upon us and served us till the end. They even did the over work till 11:30 pm. I really like to visit this place again.
This restaurant is one of the nicest restaurants in bangalore..! From their food to their behaviour towards customer, everything is good and if you get greeted by specially Lolley Raymond then you would be fortunate enough😊
Went to Roomali for a friend's promotion treat during lunch. The service is super fast. Did not have to wait for long. Ambience was decent. We had ordered non-veg, and it was delicious. Used Zomato gold, so did not cost much, else it's a little over priced.
The friendliest and most generous staff, especially the head managers who are great at recommending dishes and stirring up conversations! Food is also really really good.
Decent food with great outdoor ambience. I tried Tamatar dhaniya shorba which was average, Kalonji paneer aka paneer Tikka was good, roomali roti and Butter naan was great, fall makhani was decent. If you like curry on sweeter side then Malai Kofta is pretty good option.
The location is super central and being on church street has a lot of perks.
We didn’t intentionally go to church street for some an Indian lunch but we definitely didn’t regret walking into roomali.
We didn’t try much as we had other plans for lunch🙄
But the paneer and the dal makhani w butter naan was so satisfying.
The staff here is very friendly and the ambience was pretty nice. I’d definitely go back to try more.
This place is nice to visit With family , white wall and colourful food was good combo ... staff were very polite and superb etiquette ....Outside seating areas will let you experience different side of food and ambience...Food was average good for a family meal and nothing extraordinary but good.
What a restaurant!
Amazing food and a nice place to go to.
Quite and decently beautiful.
You get your best time for your own self to enjoy your food.
The place has palatial elegance in ambience. But it is quite small. Hardly 10 tables are present. The food was delicious. The staff is particularly courteous.
Roomali is sort of in the same premises as The White Room, but has its own space not sharing anything with the White Room. It is a North Indian restaurant which has around 10 tables with a couple of them being outdoors. They play good music and ambience is good with yellow lighting.
Mr Raymond was helping us out in the restaurant and he was very kind through and through.
We got a Tamatar Dhaniya Shorba in the beginning with a masala papad made on request (not in the menu) with Mr Raymond helping out. The soup was good and tangy due to the tomatoes. The flavours were good and the quantity was right too. We had 1/2 of the soup. We had also ordered the Kalimirch Jhinga. We probably didn't understand the dish very well but expected lesser onions and masala. The flavours were good and so was the quantity of the prawns. The prawns were spicy, as you may expect from a black pepper dish bit like I said, onions were a bit much.
For main course we had Methi Murgh, Roomali roti (of course), butter naan and some rice. The chicken was good in terms of quantity and very good consistency and texture of the curry / gravy. It was very rich in nature and had good Methi flavours coming through. Would definitely recommend having that. The Roomali roti although made of Maida wasn't bad at all. It wasn't chewy or too thin and would again, recommend having that.
However, prices were a little steep. Although this is a good restaurant in a premium location like Church street with limited seating, but prices were steep. We used Zomato Gold without any hiccups and the staff were very nice.
Would recommend a visit.
A small restaurant with good ambience. Went for an office lunch. Service was on the slower side, food was good, not the best. Price is on the higher side when compared to other such restaurant.
Very Polite Staff.. Soothing Pleasant Ambience.. Food is Delicious & Fresh... Very well spiced & not over loaded with masalas. . Perfect balance maintained in taste & flavour of food.. Loved all my dishes.. Mutton biryani, Chicken roll, Murgh matka & pudina kulcha.
Visited the place with a bunch of colleagues for lunch. Pretty decent place without a lot of noise to have lunch in the crunch street. Vegetarian dishes were amazing.
An elegant and a charming barn shaped restaurant with minimal but tasteful decor. Not a huge space but small and cozy. The white walls with mellow decorative lights bring in more sophistication to the eatery. There is a pleasant outdoor seating too which faces the mandarin box. The food was quite delicious especially the roomali roti and malai kofta. The broccoli and the paneer starters were tasty as well. The staff was very polite and helped us make room for four people to sit outdoor on our insistence. An ideal(or romantic)place to enjoy a lovely dinner....
Malai kofta and dal makhni are recommended at this place.
Best part is the ambience of this place, its quite elegant and quiet with light background music.
Try the outside seating, but its for two only.
Food- We ordered matka murgh and chicken Tikka masala with butter naan. The food was amazing.
Ambience - It has a very elegant feel to it which was ideal for our late Sunday lunch.
Service- The servers were very nice to us, even though we reached just 10 mins before closing.
The overall experience was great and I will probably go here again for my share of North Indian food.
Food is good here.. sometimes when it is too crowded service will be slow..you need have time and patience for tasting good food.. so have a good amount free time to visit and enjoy
A wonderful place with good interior and well mannered servers, The food was awesome, all the starters we ordered were cooked and seasoned with perfection. I liked the Lasooni kababs a lot among all the things we ordered. The main course was also nice, biriyani which we ordered was with perfect level of spices and meat was succulent and tender.
I will recommend this place to a friend!! Keep up the good work, kudos to team Roomali!!
Despite the slightly higher price, the serene ambiance, excellent quality, and generous portions made the food well worth it. It is an ideal choice for those who enjoy North Indian cuisine. If you are dining with a group of 4 or 5, I highly recommend trying their non-vegetarian or vegetarian platter. I personally loved their sweet lassi.
Food is good. We had tandoori prawns as it is that day's special it tasted delicious.
Ask for price before ordering an item off menu. One tandoori prawns costed 980 which I feel is a little expensive.
Amazing food, amazing service. The service was very fast and the employees are very polite.
I loved the taste of the food.
It is located in a very happening place - church street.
We tried Chicken tikka, peshawari murgh. And we loved the taste.
Value for money 🤘🏻
The ambience and food is amazing. Small restaurant but the food is next level. Tried roti, mutton kheema and chicken tandoori tikka was really good. Service which I want to highlight which I loved the most.
Food is very delicious
Service was fast and good ambience
Highly recommended
Well located Indian cuisine restaurant. Fast service and well behaved servers. They have assisted parking for more than 10 cars, valet not available. Tables for two are little small in size. Ambience and decor is very good. Food is tasty and simple, north Indian type. Moderately priced. Will come back for the next occasional lunch/dinner.
The food was exceptional and the service was very nice overall a nice place to have good Indian food. The staff here Mervin was very sweet and made sure we were well catered
A great restaurants for those who love Indian cousine. The roomalo roti was just beyond. I have never eaten such a tasty roomali roti in my life. The staff behaviour is very good. The ambiance is great. Food is amazing. I would highly suggest visitors to have their roomali roti and mutton gravy.
It’s located on Church street, has indoor and outdoor tables, they have north Indian foods.
I tried big prawns tandoori as a starter, Hyderabadi chicken curry, kulcha, garlic naan and lassi.
Every menu I ordered was good and tasty, we enjoyed a lot.
Big prawn tandoori was tasty, a bit salty and the tandoori roasted taste was very nice.
Chicken curry was nice too and very spicy, delicious though. It went well with kulcha and naan. Indian breads were so yummy.
The lassi was good but it would have been better, if it was cooler.
We visit this place very often for lunch. The food is exceptionally good - one of the few places in Bangalore where you can enjoy delicious Punjabi/ Mughal cuisine. Service is quick and courteous. Highly recommend it!
Fantastic location on church street and some great food to match. Roomali has a good spread of northern Indian food in the heart of the city.
Ambience: (4/5)
The overall feel of the place is slightly different as it feels like a long old building typically found in hill stations. But it is well lit inside and the options enable for larger gatherings with the couch option on one of the sides of the table.
Food: (4/5)
The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The veg platter was great with all the various options bringing in new flavours and textures to every mouth full. The non-veg platter however was far to bland. Much of the marinate didn’t seem to have been infused as well. The rotis and the chicken mains were brilliant. The malai kufta was also good, but a little to sweet for my liking. All in all a decent experience.
Summary: (4/5)
Located centrally, Roomali gets a huge advantage. With a decent spread of food and fairly good Flavour overall this is a good option for North Indian food on Church Street. It is however one of many other options there. But if you are looking for a nice relatively quiet ambience and the ability to have good conversations and enjoy some food as well, this is a good option.
Cordial service, airy ambience, delicious food and just perfectly located for a weekend lunch (or dinner) if you want to stroll around Church Street and MG Road. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I have been here several times and have always came out happy. The roomali roti here totally deserves being the name of the place. One star less because the quality of chicken is not stable. I have had some super delicious juicy tandoori chicken as well as dryish ones here. Today's was dry.
I love love their Kadai chicken and roomali and the biryani, what an amazing place and food ,I strongly recommend this place at mg road metro station near by,do visit and enjoy the food but on weekends this place have a huge crowd who ate waiting for the seat.
Food was tasty.. Roomali roti was good.. Can visit with family and friends.. Recommend to visit and try the food.. Once you order waiting time to serve is more but it is fine..
