Excellent food & wonderful ambience. Both the owners came down to our table asking us about the taste & made us very comfortable. We tasted Panakam, Vada, Idly, Dosa & Kulfi. All the dishes that we tasted were yummy to the core..! Planning to visit this place again soon. I would highly recommend this place for all food lovers & people who appreciate healthy food.

Excellent place to experience a cuisine where millets are the main ingredient 😀. Their chef is an alchemist..😀!! He has come out with such delectable dishes like millet Pongal, black rice halwa, bamboo rice Upma, beetroot, palak idli etc. These are served with equally yummy chutneys & Tamil Nadu style sambar. The place is done up with a village theme.. a house converted to a restaurant .. courteous staff. It is a must visit!!

Awesome food, Superbly delicious that too prepared with millet.. ambience is so homely and family friendly(which is so difficult to find in Bangalore) . Best part is the sambhar. Amazing sambhar everytime. Servers are great too. Menu is limited but so is the price. Very pocket friendly. Must go place.

This place was awesome for healthy breakfast or lunch. I loved all the items made with millet rice, that is, Biriyani, Sambar rice, Rasam or Curd rice. The Ragi was smooth and tastes wise with the curry and sweet made with jaggery was having the right sweet to keep tasting.

If you are looking for a healthy meal, there can’t be a better place than this and also this is a place which offers out of the box food and anything to do with millet.We visited this place for lunch and ordered their Ragi Mudde and Chapati meals.Everything tasted fantastic specially the sweet made out of Millets.The quantity is really good for the price considering little quantity of millets can fill your stomach.

A very homely atmosphere at this place.This was earlier a house which has been converted into a restaurant.A must try for this place for their other snack list on the menu and the Millet meals.

Great for the ones who are on diet.

Prem's Graama Bhojanam brings rural India alive, complete with nutritious cooking in earthenware pots and is an already popular place with those who know. If you can, do strike up a conversation with the owner. He is friendly and an encyclopaedia on millets.

There is no space for Sugar, White Rice & Maida here. Despite abstaining from 'the three whites' restaurant manages to offer variety and taste to their customers.

• Ragi Masala Dosa - Crispy & Healthy Ragi Masala Dosa served with two types of Chutneys & Sambar.

• Raagi Mudde - 2 Finger Millet Balls served with Soppu Saaru & Palya.

• Executive Millet Lunch - Lunch cokes with 2 Mini Oothappams, Salad, Raagi Ball / Chapati, Halsand Kaal Vada, Foxtail Millet Samabar Rice, Barnyard Millet Rasam Rice, Chutney, Little Millet Curd Rice, Jaggerey Sweet, Buttermilk & Fruit Bowl.
This meal is such a filling & good in taste.

Overall
Prem's Graama Bhojanam is a good option to choose in the locality for healthy & Millet eating.

Lucky me! During my chance visit to Grama Bhojanam restaurant, l got to taste the wonderfully crafted 'Chapati oota meals' for lunch over the weekend.

Meticulously designed interiors will definitely take you back to the roots. My personal favorites served in the thali are:

The sweet made of wheat flour and organic jaggery ( tasted like heaven; must try), mildly spiced roasted groundnut chutney and the tomato rasam ( perfect antidote for the gloomy monsoon weather ).

Also, the lemon tea served after the meals was extremely soothing.

This restaurant is highly recommended for those who enjoy the simple homemade food.

The perfect balanced diet food . I feel in love the moment I looked at the menu . The food is tasty and made out of different types millets . I have been a huge fan of millets for close to 2 years . It contains more of fibre and protein. The carbs is lesser than rice . The ambiance is clean and staff is quiet friendly. We had to stay back in the restaurant for more than 30mins after finishing our lunch due to rain but the management didn’t disturb us nor pester us by asking us if we wanted to eat more . The prices were reasonable and if you wanna try authentic Karnataka style food then it’s a must visit place .

We been to this place for dinner & this place serves yummy and healthy food.. there are many reviews on their organic millets meal platter but they have lot of millet Dosa varieties also.. Ragi /Jowar ghee roast masala (sweet potato) Dosa is a must try (delicious).. Their millets roti gets a spl mention as they prepare in a diff style thn others & it's yummy too..

The water they serve has tulsi in it & I tastes like heaven..

Visited this restaurant with my family today for lunch.
Two clear take aways. This restaurant is an awesome option for trying/ experiencing a different veg food. Second for those health freak ~ it is a millet mela !
We tried the Ragi Mudai thali and Chapathi thali. The dishes being the same except the Ragi Balls in one and chapati instead in the other. The sides dish were righly spiced. The Sweet being the highlight.
The Odisa servers are friendly and explained all the millets used in the thali
One big disappointment was the food was not at all hot. Piping hot serve would have enhanced the taste

Never have I been to such an authentic and healthy place to eat. While entering you can feel, as the name suggests, the essence of village. They had served water mixed with tulsi leaves and jaggery. Food was made from millets. Everything in thali comprised of millets. Such healthy adaptation of every dish. The ambiance was so simple yet something to be blown by.

Prems Graama Bhojanam is a hidden gem tucked in the lanes of Jayanagar. They serve organic and healthy food. Now don't get me wrong on that because healthy and tasty is kind of an oxymoron. But let me assure you that everything here tastes amazing. I mean that means a lot when it's coming from a hardcore non vegetarian like me.
We happened to visit this place on Ugadi few weeks back and had the MUDDE OOTA MEALS and CHAPATI OOTA MEALS. The Meals came with three varieties of millet based items - Kodo Millet Rice, Foxtail Millet Sambar Rice and Barnyard Millet Rasam Rice. Millets are known to be rich in protein and fibre and much healthier option than other cereal grains. It's also light on the tummy. The Rasam and Sambar tasted amazing. This was my second tryst with Raagi Mudde after a horrendous first experience. Gotta admit I loved it this time. However, the show stealer of the thali would be the Organic Jaggery Halwa. It was droolworthy, just the perfect amount of sweetness quotient.
Pricing is reasonable. The limited meals are priced around 150/- bucks only. Service is quick and the staff is amicable. I would highly recommend this place. Would love to come back again for their Millet Paddus and Pesarattus.

If you want to have some healthy traditional lunch, head straight to this place. Decor is very homely and they prepare food only with millet. We ordered Raagi Oota & Chapatti Oota. The meals had salad, chutney, navanne veg biryani, dal,barnyard millet rasam, foxtail millet sambar, little millet curd rice & halwa made of organic jaggery. Simply loved the millet rasam & the sweet. Food is simple and healthy but their is no compromise on the taste. Pricing is reasonable. Will definitely come back to try their evening snacks like dosa & paddu

What can be more traditional and healthy thing to do on Yugaadi than an oota at prems graama bhojanam. For lunch we visited this place today and I was quite impressed with the taste of food they serve. They are known for preparing traditional food items of Karnataka using different varities of millets.
We ordered one muddhe oota and one chapati oota. In the first, one ragi ball is served with a spicy gravy and in the second thali one chapati is served with dal instead. Rest of the items were same comprising of salad, kodo millet variety rice of the day, foxtail millet sambhar rice, barnyard millet rasam rice, chutney, little millet curd rice and halwa made of jaggery. Overall the thali was quite filling yet light on stomach and very tasty. I really loved the rasam rice and the jaggery halwa.
The place also serves various healthy snacks option in the evening. I will really love to try them as well.

Loved the ambiance, food options and the hygein. It always was my mum's favourite restaurant and i wasn't sure why, today she made me try the unlimited thali and man im blown. Being a nutritionist, would recommend this place to everybody which would hit all the micro and macro nutrition meal requirements, though protein would be on little lower side, we always can cope up with it in our other two meals but the thali at Graama bhojana would hit most of ur micronutrients. Not giving 4 star because of the person who served (miscommunication and little ignorant), would be 4.5*,else was an amazing experience. Would love to see more varieties of healthy food. Matka kulfi is also a must try.

Wanted to try a millet based meal. So finally reached here. For lunch it's only the plates that's are available. Mudde oota n chapati oota.

Taste is good. Very filling and the portions are enough for 2 light lunches or one really heavy one. I felt all preparations were slightly on the spicier side though many of us were not complaining. Overall good experience. Worth the money.

I've been trying to eat healthy and there are not a lot of restaurants that offer healthier choices. This is on of them close to where I live and I really like it.

It has a nice menu where all dishes are prepared using different kind of millets and the desserts are made with jaggery. The food is healthy and delicious.

I love their evening menu more, as during lunch, there are only the lunch combos and they are too filling.
During evenings, they have good options for dosa, paddu, vada and rottis (same-akki rotti is so good). There's also sambar-rice and curd-rice with millet substitutes.

Very few restaurants in Bangalore boast of a trump card that makes them a class apart, and Prems Graama Bhojanam is without a doubt a proud establishment in that list.

A brief introduction to the concept: Most dishes are made from different varieties of millet such as Kodo, Foxtail and Barnyard, which are staple to the rural agrarian society. The policy of no sugar, maida or rice in any of the items, bestows upon it a health-conscious tag.

I ordered the Muddhe Oota, and the spread came with a array of items that were scrumptious and wholesome at the same time! The meals are filling, and the jaggery-based dessert in it is epic! Above all, this doesn't burn a hole in your pocket!

Another aspect of the place that I truly love: The homely ambience, that augments the dining experience. The tabletops are decorated with a kolam(a traditional rangoli made of rice) and the drinking water served here is with a blend of edible camphor, cloves and cardamom akin to the holy water served in temples. The place does get crowded especially during early lunch hours, but the air conditioning system works fine to ensure comfort to every diner.

Highly recommend, even for those averse to health-inclined and purely vegetarian food. A visit to the place will reduce the perception of 'healthy food compromising on taste' to a red herring.
Rest assured, every item on the menu will leave you impressed.

My overall experience, stated briefly, was divine!

Located in Jayanagar 7th Block, Prem's Graama Bhojanam is a new and refreshing place to have good healthy and delicious food.

We had items like Thatte Idly, Millet Paddy, Jolada Roti, Navane Rawa Dosa, Benne Masala Dosa, Coconut Jaggery Dosa, Shunti Kashaya and Majjigae! All the dishes are served with delicious sambhar, peanut chutney and tomato chutney! The water served is RO Water ( with Tulsi, Camphor, Clove, Cardamom)

Definitely a worth and must visit place! One of the most heartening things was that the waiter was from Orissa and in just a short span of 5 months of coming to Bangalore, he had learnt how to speak Kannada! When I told him I wanted a glass of Buttermilk, he said ok sir, ondhu majjigae 😬

What a brilliant find! If you are in the vicinity and need a wholesome, goodness filled vegetarian meal, do drop in here.

Went here for lunch today and place is a homely, neat space. It was so cute to see a kolam on the dining table and the water, they serve has notes of cardamom and cloves and is so unique and refreshing.

We ordered the executive millet thali and literally every item was lipsmacking, my faves were the crunchy masala vadai, millet pulao, veggies and especially the Kesari/sheera. Yummy

The thali is pretty filling and rest assured you will exit with a happy stuffed face! They serve their tiffin items post 4pm.

Service was super friendly

Totally recommended for a supremely VFM experience!

They are a millet based restaurant, very good for health conscious people

They have dosas, rotis and rice varieties in all of which they use millets only.

The taste is good, esp the dosas. Millet biriyani is good too

Also they give water infused with spices, it’s very refreshing

Love the jaggery matka kulfi, it is so light and tasty without sugar or any artificial flavoring

This place has been on our list ever since we lived in Jayanagar. Never got a chance to go here, except last week! We enter and the board outside reads "NO sugar, NO white rice, NO maida..." and I fell in love instantly. They serve both tiffin and meals in the afternoon and we went straight to the meal option. There was 1 with chapathi and 1 with Ragi dosa. We ordered 1 each. The entire meal was made of millets. Sambar rice, Rasam rice, curd rice (yummm this was), a sweet (made of jaggery) and one vada (no one would stop with one). We ordered 4 more vada after we ate one. The chutney that comes along with it is amazing too. They have also been awarded the "best tiffin award". Yet to try out their tiffins though. I am surely going back for that. They also sell "Veppelai katti", the one that Palakad Brahmin households make to eat with curd rice. You are in Jayanagar, please don't miss this place for lunch. They have a pretty long waiting time, so may be you can start off with their Vadas :)

Lovely, Excellent, Superb, Healthy!!! I had couple of visits. So had many dishes during our visits and all are very good in taste. Someone has written in review that healthy means tasteless. Well, This is not true here. Its just everyone's taste has been developed different way and some people are adaptive to all kind of good taste like me ;).
Service is very good, prompt and welcoming in all experiences.
Rating is for food service ambience hygiene altogether.

A good find serving healthy food. Healthy food can also be tasty, recommend everyone to try this place once. Starting from the camphor water to the jaggery drink named Panaka , everything is tasty and takes you back in time. Coming to the ambience , it’s a small place , more like a house where seating arrangements are in different rooms, clean , the staff are friendly . Serving only a range of healthy and yummy millet-based dishes. If you're here, have the Thalis, they're filling and filled with Variety. We ordered the Chapati Oota, Mudde Oota and the Executive Millet Thalis.... And damn they were good!
Chapatis were soft and fresh, Rassam rice and Bele Bath were made with millets and were good. The dosas with the executive thali were well prepared, wouldn't know the difference between a regular dosa unless told😁
In the end I was full, and content with the quantity served in these Thalis, the buttermilk too was very refreshing on a hot day like today....
I sign off on a very positive note and would love to try their snack items as well 😀

“You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces – just good food from fresh ingredients."

Graama Bhojanam, an eat out amidst the buzzing area of Jayanagar. A subtle ambience to encase the Nativity that they are serving with and the staff being as courteous as people in the villages.

We had come in for lunch and menu had only meals for the afternoon. I ordered an unlimited meal and my wife and mother ordered a limited meal. Except for the quantity there wasn't much difference in the items that were served. The meal is of millets and no rice. The service was quick and we had options of choosing from "Ragi mudde" and Chapathi along with your meal and a sweet made of Organic jaggery with a welcome drink. As simple as it sounds the meal didn't disappoint me. The taste was subtle and homely.

There are a lot of options for snacks for evening and I guess the taste wouldn't disappoint. These are too millets and healthy. I shall recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a healthy meal.

I would go with 4 stars for this place.

I had been here yesterday for lunch and I'm still missing the meal. I loved the bissi belle Bhaat I ordered and also tasted the mini meals contents from my friend's plate. This the first time I ate dishes made of only Foxtail millets. They provide cardamon, Tulsi and clow water to drink. I think everyone must go n try at least once here. The price is also very much fair and the food is healthy plus tasty. I wanted to give 5 stars but I have considered my friend's feedback too in this so it's 4.

One of the best places for a quick lunch. Neat and clean with decent seating options available.

The thalis they serve are really well spread and also have a variety of options. The quantity and taste is VFM, and you can get extra portion for extra money. The taste is gentle and is not overpowering any dimension like Sweet, Sour, salty etc. I hope this just gets all the success.

This place have a rustic ambiance which can appeal to you or make your mood off depends on the situation. But ambiance  is symbolic to rural patterns  .
we tried Benne Masal Dosa, Ragi Masal Dosa, Jwar roti , Sambhar rice , Ghee Roast Dosa. Every thing has a great taste . Specially chtanai they serve is very good and tasty. In desert we tried Moong Dal payasam.

Food was excellent in taste. This place is known for the ingredients they use in their food. They use millets and samaik rice in place of regular sugar and white rice. They serve camphor treated water which is referencing .

If you want to try multiple South Indian delicacies prepared with Millets, this is the place to go to. The authentic taste of every dish is retained and you would relish each one of them. We had an awesome time trying their south Indian meal and special halwa made out of palm jaggery. Bon appetite!

Distinct as cuisine is mostly millet. Food is very tasty and you will not be disappointed. Downside- its a small place so has a high wait time. So it is disappointing when after being seated the service is xtremely poor. If you can persist thru being ignored and orders being forgotten then this is a worthwhile experience. Budget friendly.Rating is for the food.

Benne dosai was soft and fluffy. Was so happy to taste normal sambar (not sweet). Peanut chutney was quite tasty. Only thing, Samai akki roti was very hard. I guess it is best not to order this kind of dosai as takeaway, perhaps need to be eaten fresh from pan.

Nice place to have lunch if you are worried about having high calorie food. One of the healthiest hotels you can find in bangalore. Mainly the foods are based on millets. No oil, No artificial colors, etc., Must visit if you are in and around Jaynagar.

It's mostly millets meal, it's not organic though.

Taste is good and chapati is fresh, didn't try mudde , as i eat them lot at home :)

Overall it's a good business healthy lunch!!

It cost less than 150rs. So it's cheap for healthy food.

Lovely decor just like a village home. Beautiful and tasty veg thali. They don't use any rice and all the dishes are made with different types of millets. If you are this side of the town you can try out. Also they hv a all natural kulfi.

Best vegetarian variety food, and as the name suggests authentic village style meals. Best part about the place is that they do not use normal while rice at all, instead a variety of millets urban population has never heard of. Even the water they serve is a standout. Its a place worth visiting multiple times.

If you are looking for a good, healthy, tasty South Indian (village style) food, then this place will satisfy you. Food here is prepared from millets, cerals. We ordered benne dosa, onion utappam, millets biriyani, small millets paddu, majjige, samai akki rotti. Every food is served with ground nut chutney, tastes really good. Good one time experience. Ok ambience. Busy in the noon. I ordered ragi mudde meal. Curry for ragi mudde was spicy. Sweet wheat dish was yum. Rasam rice was very authentic. Overall a good meal, if dishes were not that spicy.

This place is just a couple of walks away from my home. So when my husband suggested that we should visit this place, I was a bit sceptical just on hearing the name. But let me tell you, don't judge a restaurant by it's name. This place is mecca for South Indian food lovers. The ambiance is pretty simple but neat. This place prides itself in serving food made from organic sources. And trust me the food is extremely light on stomach and pocket too. Must try are it's variety of uttapams, ghee masala dosa and benne dosa. I am a big fan of it's benne dosa. And lastly, even the water they serve had a tinge of cloves and camphor. It had a holy feel to it.

I strongly recommend it to all. North Indians do surely visit, you will be amazed by it's taste :)

A must visit for all the Health Freaks! Everything here is millet based and it does taste yummy! The pricing is also reasonable for the portions they serve! The Service is quick and hospitable! My personal favourite was the Benne Dose with Sambhar!

Absolutely awesome place. Discovered it out of the blue while I was in Jayanagar and was pleasantly surprised. The preparation of dosas, uthapas and rice items with millets coupled with awesome chutneys is simply awesome and the service is superb. This is definitely going to be a most visited place for me.

I had been to this place recently with my family, upon the insistence of my sons. They had enjoyed the paddus and dosas a week ago while I was away and wanted me to try as well. The food, made of millets and unpolished rice, is quite tasty apart from being healthy, which is nowadays a rare combination. We had paddus, pesarattu, onion uthappam and dal payasa which they offered on the house. Water tastes really good too, with mint and herbs added to it. I’m looking forward to my next visit here

This is completely a millet place. All the doses, rottis, rice items are made of Millets. Interiors are impressive. Cost effective. Dine out but no guilt of junking on? Then this is the place you should visit. Especially the drinking water they provide is enriched with tulsi which was just amazing.

Let me make it to the point! You’ll be glad you ate here... you’ll leave feeling healthy and light! Smallish looking joint but the food here is amazing. We tried the onion dosa, hesarkalu dosa, set dosa, black sticky rice pudding.. between 2 of us .. and didn’t feel like we over ate! Worth your time and money :)
