A great place for foodies and die hard fans of North Indian snack, sweets and other subzi's. This place is like Haldirams of Bangalore. Though Anand sweets and Kanti Sweets existed , they mainly dealt with sweets.and provided very limited main course options.
This place fills that void. Don't try Chinese , other than this all other dishes are great.
When it comes to food. You can never go wrong or confused between New Delhi's Haldiram and Kesar Sweets of Kalyan Nagar. Yes! You read it correct. I did compare it with Haldiram's its that good!
Don't believe me? Try both and tell me the difference here in comments. :)
Ohh, P.S. When food is good don't care about their amenities. Eat anyway! ;)

Went here for breakfast. Pretty decent place located in the heart of Kalyan nagar.
We tried the matar kulcha (MUST TRY) , poori sabji and Kesari lassi. Everything was really good and quantity was good as well.
Ambience: 7/10
Food: 8.5/10
Service: 9/10
Cost: 9/10
Would recommend for a quick bite in kalyan nagar.
Awesome place for North Indian food. Dishes worth trying are chole bhature, poori sbji, Pao bhaaji and all the sweets they have!
Very good quality of sweets.
Chaat here is amazing! Amristari kulche-chhole had that exact North Indian taste that it should have. Kaju roll and moong daal halwa are tasty. Daal bukhaara was good, not exceptional. Service was little slow on the weekend.
Simple ambiance and AC wasn’t effective in first floor as crowds thronged even on a Monday afternoon
We had lassi, gobi paratha, mix veg paratha and Amritsari kulcha + chole combo. All breads Slightly greasy but ok. Really filling even when shared among us trio. Bill was 460- well worth the money.
Shall try the chaat and sweets next time. They are running mango specials currently.
Simple food but amazingly tasty. Every time I visit, I am awed at the quality of the food. I had the nargis kofta which was so rich and yummmm. And the hara bara kabab was also really good. It’s my to go place for veg food. When I came back from Delhi, I started missing haldirams. Kesar has filled that hole in my heart. 😍
Branch out of the original kesar from whitefield but this is not bad either in this part of town. Great place to go for vegetarian folks and munch on some chaat and fast food items.
So happy that they are in our location. Food is super yum!!Do try dere authentic delhi chats and super yum KESAR kulfi is highly recommended. Also the Amritsari thali is something that is a must have. Good quality fresh and yummy food. I think everything they have worth trying. Love the quality of sweets and cookies and cakes.
Awesome and Crispy Jalebi.... And best dosa... Overall good food experience.. especially for vegetarians... And that have some amazing Bengali sweets....
This review is purely for their mouthwatering hot and crispy jalebi s...they serve the best jalebi s in town !its made in pure ghee and you won’t be able to stop at one plate !
Please visit this outlet for lipsmacking sweets, cakes and chats, specially the pani puri. Their jelabis are amazing. The biscuits and other bakery products are top class
The food is ok but not as tasty as the one which is at AECES LAYOUT.
Sad part is there is no delivery through Zomato but at the hotel they say they accept online orders.
Absolutely THE place for Punjabi food.
The amritsari kulcha and makke di rotti platter are mouth watering dishes which I highly recommend to everyone.
Check out the photos if you don't believe me.
We tried a few things - raj kachori, chhole bhature, pav bhaji, executive meal, makkai roti + saag. Most of it was pretty good. The dal makhani in the meal was surprisingly decent (just a bit too much cardamom). Definitely a place worth trying out.
Being the new sweet shop in the block, they serve delicious sweets, biscuits, cakes (eggless), chats and north-south Indian food as well.
Tried a few chats which were good.
The pricing is on the higher side but the premise is kept very clean and service is quick.
We were craving to eat a north Indian style chole bhature from pretty long and this place definitely does justice to it.
- the bhature were fluffy and soft.
- chole were mild, not spicy - could have been spicier
- masala aaloo was great.
service was quick. the place is clean and we also a second helping of potato. a great place to try this.
we finished off with Lachha Rabdi which was very rich in taste and amazing. must visit.
I had tried the chaats which I would say are decent although slightly overpriced. There is a live counter for jalebis, these were reasonably priced, freshly made, crisp and tasty, just the way I like it. Will definitely try out the other chaats and pani puri next time. The cookies and namkeen looked good too. Not sure about the cakes and sweets though. They have a restaurant too which serves only veg food.
This is a paradise for all sweet lovers. Each of it is awesome. Do Must try their kulfi, lassi, chole bhature, rabdi. Inside seating arrangement is quite big. But it’s a self service restaurant. The restaurant serves totally vegetarian food. I am a hardcore non vegetarian person but didn’t know vegetarian food also can be so tasty.
Lovely place. Being a Gujju, I craved for the perfect chats and street food. Place is great for chat lovers, Sweet lovers and Namkeens. The first floor restaurant has good and decent fast food options, North Indian options, Chinese options. Only thing that disappointed me was the Bhaji in Pav Bhaji.
The food was really worth the price.
Although its bit over priced but then can't blame as their Dal Makhani literally made me remember dhabe wale dal.
The food I liked- Paneer Tikka Classic, Dal Makhani, Naan, Roti, veg kabas.
Worth a try with your gang or even family!
On top of it, it had awesome customer service!
Finally a good decent sweet and chat shop on this trendy road. Very good ambience, well lit. The chaats are amazing. After a long time had delicious pani puri at this shop. Rasgulla are super soft and delicious. Fast food items served on the first floor are really authentic and tasty. Only drawback is PARKING space.. Very good shop.. Must visit.
edit: Jan2020 They have fixed the food part. Food on 1st floor restaurant is awesome. parathas /kulchas /chutneys are awesome. service /ambience ok. cost acceptable.
great location ,not very crowded or chaotic.
dosas are great too if u dont mind the grease....( THE GREASIEST MASALA DOSA EVER)...
i visit this place frequently. pure veg is added plus.
old entry ...3 star
decent food. nothing special other than better than usual spacious ambience .Since it is new i guess theyu need time to settle down. chat items are fair.
Another addition to the Kalyan Nagar food street !
Kesar is a sweet store , they also have varieties of biscuits and cakes , mixtures and chaats.
They do have a restaurant on the first floor .
I tried the sweets and chaat . It was great !
Would love to come back and try the food too.👍
Very nice place for sweets , chaats , cookies and awesome vegetarian food. A good addition to people in kalyan nagar craving north indian food . Ambience is good very neat and hygienic.Chole bhature and paneer naan combos are excellent. Gobhi manchurian , baby corn manchurian crisp and tasty . Lip smacking chaats
Have visited the shop. All the stuffs are good. Went there especially for laddoos as I knew with the name itself that it would be Rajasthani stuff. But along with that I bought lot of other sweets and everything was really good
Good Vegetarian restaurant, try their Chole Batura and Matar Kulcha. They have a lot of variety of sweets. The bakery is also a egg less bakery with variety of biscuits, cakes and pastries.
We have visited here twice with family, and both the times returned with happy tummies. While the ground floor is sweets and chats, the 1st floor has veg food with proper dining space.
The dish I love here is there Amritsari thali, that comes with dal, khadi pakoda, and allu matar, bundled with awesome Punjabi style parathas and jeera rice. The flavors are awesome and the quality of the food is good.
We also loved their chola Batura and kulfi sticks. They also have a live counter for jalebi, and you can have them hot (freshly made).
Only inconvenient thing is that you cannot order chats in their dinner area, this kind of breaks the experience for the family if some want to have chats and other fast food.
Yummy food. Perfect north Indian restaurant for chats, sweets and what not!! Hygenic, polite guys and big enough for at least 40-50 ppl at a time.
Authentic kulfi, chole bhature, samose..
This outlet has become my Favourite, I can carry sweets and have delicious starters with vast choices. Snacks are tasty and good quality. This is one of the best place to buy pure vegetarian sweets .

Great food, quick service by courteous staff and reasonable prices (by bangalore standards).
A good place for a quick meal. The chana bhatura was one of the best I've tasted.
The sweets were a letdown though...Not very fresh and loaded with elaichi.
Went there yesterday and what a wonderful experience. From ambience to staff behaviour to food taste to speed of service, everything was just excellent. Excellent for similar experience, I used to go to Bhartiya Jalpan Indira Nagar but glad that found this in my vicinity and a much more value for money. Chaata and Jalebis are a must have. Only chaats I felt are priced on higher side, rest all are value for money. Even cleanliness and hygine I found top notch.
Best chole kulche in Bangalore. The taste took me right back to the streets of delhi.must try for all food lovers out there
Great place for north indian crusine. Poori sabji, matra kulcha, sarso saag makki roti and moong dal halwa was awesome. One of the very few restaurant serving good north indian food
Awesome food ..pure ghee itam .. also clean and nice serving.
Lot of sweet varieties and pastries. We ordered hot jelabie and short breads. This is the only place to get good cookies. Savourites are unique and typical north Indian style.
Must try for all....spl. north indian people's ...awesome quality and taste.
Authentic North Indian food... Best clean Pani Puri in Bangalore
I had chats it's really good just loved it

Kalakand a must have. Rasgulla is great so as their chat items.
Taste is good, Place is clean, Staff is good, Location is well reachable.
This is a great North Indian Sweet shop cum restaurant. It offers delicious sweet meats, savouries, take away. The preparations are fresh and the staff are courteous. Most importantly there is ample space for a display of stunning varieties that tempt you and makes you forget your dietery restrictions.
Enjoyed the Sarson Ka Saag with Makki ki roti.
Very tasty and with fresh made butter.
