A budget friendly restaurant
fast service
tastes good
Good ambiance
But
staff behavior is completely disappointing, not expected the way they reply to the things that which we ask. They all get irritated if we ask something.

Rajan’s cafe is not a fine dining restaurant. You can’t order butter chicken here and expect it to come out like in a Punjabi restaurant. Having said that, the food is delicious, service is quick and a meal for 2 will be about 250/-. I was a sceptic at first, and I ordered a few dishes I didn’t like. Then I hit the sweet spot, the basics like roti, Palak paneer, chilli chicken, dal tadka, fried rice, egg burji.... these are the dishes and a few more that made me a fan. I work nearby, so I can have a meal here, a lassi and a walk in one hour. And have some wholesome food that is light on the pocket too. They have combos with dish of the day, it’s not bad too. Do try the sweet lassi, it’s awesome. I’m rating a 4 star not for the quality of the ambiance or the excellent food profile, but for the fact that I can go here everyday and expect tasty food, fast service and a tiny bill. This is my experience at Rajan’s after visiting more than 20 times in the one year.
Rajan’s cafe offers one of the best biryani in town with just about right spice and good amount of quantity. It is at a walkable distance from EGL and is a good place to go out with colleagues to treat yourself to a good lunch or quick tea and snack break. Highly recommend for Briyani and veg and non veg combos.
Homily ambience in the midst of a busy environment. It is rare to find such an ambience and food in this place. Really loved everything. The food is a bit spicy. If you not ready to give your tastebuds such heat then better to avoid. Its a big place so the service might be a bit slow. If you have the time then it's worth a try for lunch when you're at office 😊
Good but it will be awesome if you people increase quantity a little bit..
on time delivered 5 stars service
Lets get straight to the food:
1, Ginger Chicken => Excellently cooked. We were left liking our plates.
2. Pepper Chicken => Not so good. Didn't have a distinctive taste.
3. Chicken Tikka Masala => Comprised of chicken breast which was overcooked and quite dry served in tomato gravy. Not good.
4. Roties => Special mention for the roties here. There were as good as home made ones.
The ambiance of the place is quite good given the price. Service was extraordinarily fast, with food being served within 1 minute of ordering. They seem to pre-cook the chicken and serve it according to the dish. What this means is that a lot of variety can't be expected here. Dishes end up tasting the same.
Good thing is its extremely light on the packet. Our bill for two came out to Rs 360.
Rajan’s Café offers a change when one needs a break from the regular cafeteria food in the EGL area of Domlur. The advantage of this place is its proximity to the offices close by. Pretty much walkable from EGL, Dell, Maruti Infotech and other offices close by.
Ambience is a simple minimalist tables and chairs. In fact nothing more than a typical mess. I like the little balcony that houses three tables facing the park.
Food has been consistent over the last three years I have been visiting this place. The favorites here are the combo meals. At 100 rupees (As of May 2017) for a veg combo (a choice of chapattis / fried rice / noodles with a veg sabzi and veg curry) and 120 for a non veg combo (Chapattis/fried rice/noodles with chicken kebabs and chicken curry) is an absolute value. Add to that, you get a complimentary lemon juice. And the fried rice comes with a Chinese influenced curries!
The chapattis are well made and veg sabzis are really nice, especially the Gobi and baby corn Manchurian. chicken kebab is my favorite too.
The biryanis are ok and the curries average. The dessert is a payasam and is ok depending on the sweetness. The ice cream counter has little takers so tried eating only once and is an average ice cream that’s available everywhere.
Service depends on the crowd. the staff is polite and attentive, but the crowd becomes unmanageable for them during peak hours. then you will need to remind them. Else they do a good job.
But why do I go there often? It’s like that Maruti van with no bells and whistles.. That economy flights, and the budget accommodations. No frills, no fancy, but absolute value for money. And for that money, I can’t complain much about the curries. The kebabs, manchurian and chapattis have always been good and the table i get to sit with a view doesn't disappoint !
A small outlet near exit gate of EGL is a treat for non veg lovers... Being a frequent visitor am never disappointed with any of their dishes till now... Good quality and quantity offered too... Only disappointment is the waiting time and the conjusted place once u move in... No complaints on food what so ever... Must try if u haven't
Went here to have lunch with a colleague and ordered a non veg combo and the non veg meal.
Pros -
- simple cheap food
- good question
- simple ambience
cons
- lemon water was watery
- payasam was too sweet
I Had Visited thrice.
Good Place to get Tasty and Decent Clean Food.
Prices are Reasonable.
Service is good.Good Option to take whenever we are bored of Office Canteen food.
But all the time what common Factor i found was that service is not quick.
But Finally best Hotel i have ever found.

Went for lunch with some office colleagues.
Nice place to go once in a while in office break...good place, good people, good food.
pricing was bit on higher side, and have been told that sandwiches are not good...but for lunch it was a place worth going for a change.
TRY IT IF YOU ARE BORED WITH YOUR OFFICE CANTEEN

1. Combo meals (veg/non)
2. Baby corn chilly
This place is right next to my office and we have been thinking of visiting it for quite a while. On a friday lunch date my husband and I walked into this place only to find it fully crowded. The ambiance is very homely and peaceful. We found a table soon and we asked for the veg meals and a portion of egg burji. The prices on the menu are really economic and the menu has quite a few items. From biryani to noodles, to rolls and sandwiches; they have it all.
The order arrived really quick. The veg meals has two chapatis, a bowl of rice, one papad, one dry soya sabzi, rajma masala, sambhar, rasam, curd and payasam. The food tasted homely and delicious. The items could be more warmer though. The egg burji was delicious with ample onions and chillies adding to the taste of the scrambles eggs. One portion was too much for one person but since it tasted good I had it all. Extra papads were ordered and we finished a simple and delicious meal and headed back to work.
Staff and Service: 3/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Taste: 3.5/5
Value for money: 4/5
Price for two: Rs 300 approx.
A cozy little place,a stone's throw away from my workplace. It is more like a house that has been converted into a café.
The first time I went with my friends,we ordered Chinese combos and they gave a plateful of noodles, with a dry Manchurian and an Indianised version of a Chinese sauce. It tasted like home made food.
The quantity served was more than enough to fill one. The mushroom chilli also tasted heavenly. When the bill came in,it gave us plenty of reasons to smile too.
We went there a second time,on a rainy day, craving pakoda.
Somehow I was left smacking my lips and licking my fingers and the taste of the hot onion pakoda will make me want to go back again.Paneer chilli was also decent.
The masala tea is also something to try here.
Light on the pocket,a decent ambience and great food, this café has been a real surprise package, and I will definitely see more of it in the days to come.
Small, cosy place with yum food.. Tried the Chinese combo for Rs. 90 .. The menu has a lot of variety, will definitely go back to try some more. A decent break from your daily "ghar ka khana"... ! However, Orange icecream was kinda chewy.. Certainly not a place for desserts..
In this rainy season, if you want to enjoy the best pakodas and masala tea combo in the city, then rush to Rajan's cafe... Paneer chilly is pretty slurpy too... A must-visit for evening snacks...
I had tried the Veg Biryani.
Taste - awesome 4/5
Quantity - Sufficient 4.5/5
It was very crowded, had to wait for some time to get seat.
Service was decent - received food soon, got additional raitha when asked for.
Suggestion: The workers/waiters/order takers - Please wear uniform, bz it was difficult for me to spot for asking for order. By mistake, I called another customer for order which was embarrassing for both of us and obviously for the restaurant too.
Nice calm and the sit out is the best place in the hotel. It's super cozy and its just like your house balcony. The service is good the food is worth every penny you pay. Must try Panner burji and masala chai.
True Value for Money...Nice service. This is the place where I eat with my team Of myNoticePeriod and have a lot of cool discussions. :) I will tell people to try it out.
A place worth trying out. Located hidden away near the entrance of EGL. It is peaceful rustic ambience and the food served is good. And the service is fast and friendly too. All in all a must try for anyone wanting yummy and fast food.
Located at a secluded place near EGL and has a rugged decor and interior of typical cafe. Place is simply vacant most of time , but personally i like this being less crowded . One can peaceful sit outside and chime with some friend/partner/spouse for quite a time. I tried breakfast , snacks and once lunch at this place. Breakfast is pretty ordinary with exception of coffee which is good. Lunch is pretty decent no signature dish worth mentioning here.
Snacks are spicy which i kinda like so thumps up for that , but quality can be improved.
Service is good , staff is courteous and its definitely "value for money"
a mix between a roadhouse styled eatery mixed with a very rustic aesthetic and then sprinkle some family into the mix that is what you get at rajan's café. easy on the pocket and a great place to hang out with friends, especially after a long day at work. the menu is diverse and has a range of options to choose from. the first thing that strikes you during the "order experience" is the menu itself, a beautifully designed menu and not only rates high in aesthetic quality but also gives the customer a sense of vintage appeal, this merged with the overall ambience of the place and gives you an experience matched to none! if its a light breakfast, a lunch treat or a quick dinner before work, rajan's café does justice.
tips - order, sit back and have a good time with your friends.
Rajan's cafe is turning out to be new regular hangout spot.. it is a cozy and secluded spot very close to embassy golf links.. it has a cute sit out where u can sit and sip on a masala chai with some pakodas.. the experience just triples when its drizzling... must trys are their mushroom chilli, pakodas, dal with roti, paneer roll, paneer bhurji, biryani (well m vegetarian).. I hear their non vegetarian is just as good or prolly better.. Its perfect for those evenings when u wanna watch the rains or for those lunches when u feel like some home made food.. and the best part is, this place is not t all heavy on ur wallet!! so its a definite 5 for me :)
As a visitor from the UK Rajan’s café typifies everything I want from Indian food. The meals here are delicious, with just the right combination of flavour and spice to suit the majority of palates. I am particularly fond of the Biryani which is a must-try at this restaurant. What makes this restaurant even more endearing is the ambience; there is a cosy balcony area, where you can enjoy a sumptuous meal in a space that symbolizes the essence of vibrancy. This is definitely one of my preferred places to sit and muse; you can embed yourself in a corner surrounded by hanging plants, and interesting pictures, and even the menu delights, with quotes that reflect that following a good meal/drink it is always easier to meet whatever challenges you face. I thoroughly recommend this place and in fact, am on my way to enjoy breakfast here as we speak.
Food is good, ambience is decent. Restaurant is bit congested, also anticipate a delay during lunch due to heavy rush.
This is a good option for EGL employees to have a quick meal. Their menu is reasonable too.
Combos are worth a try.
They ve displayed few antiques in the restaurant.
Food is good, had Palak chicken and roti !! Atmosphere is also good
Lethargic staff !!
Good restaurant for occasional lunch or dinner. It serves North Indian food with good taste of food. Recommending to visit for occasional lunch or dinner : )
Food are very good. Very good hospitality. Good environment.
Pretty neat place, friendly service plus the price is reasonable. Food quantity may be less but ambience is good and very clean. Certainly good place for quick bite and recommended for family as well. Both veg and nonveg served here.
Decent ambiance. Used to serve "close to home cooked" food but now is more or less like a general restaurant. Fair spread of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. Taste is above average. Nothing exemplary.
nice ambience, good taste, price worthy food ...can take your friends, family, close ones. Calm place to eat in evening and night but in afternoon it's bit busy place and sometimes you need to wait for your chance.
Tasty food. Very good place to have a meal!
Good. Cheap and best in that area. Varieties are less but both veg and non veg are good
Amazing food. Very pocket friendly and the service is quick. The owner is very friendly and hospitality is good. All in all the place is the best place to get a quick bite at egl
Superb food at reasonable cost. Staffs are very cordial and nice service
Good food and decent service. Might get difficult to get a table for lunch on weekdays as it gets super crowded.
Overall, a good budget place to have lunch.
Sit in the balcony and enjoy tea and mixed pakoda. It's a great feeling
Good quality food. Quick service. Value for money.
Good place for regular eaters. Neat and clean, tasty and quality food, Swift Service & reasonably priced !
Decent food at reasonable cost. EGL employees rush here at lunch time. Best time to reach before 1PM before it gets heavily crowded.
Delicious food, more than sufficient quantity, decent place, crowed during lunch time and may have to wait.
Food is priced at reasonable rates with quick service as a complimentary. Food quality is also good.
