I had ordered fish curry . The package looked good . The curry was bit spicy ( bt thats how keralites like it tho ) . The quantity was worth the money . The pieces were small and also wasnt dat fleshy enuf .
overall the curry was tasty andd will go really well with kappa or rice or chappathi ..!
Good portions of uncomplicated and consistent value meals, tasty without being fussy. I love the boiled rice and fish meals.
Not a great ambiance, during peak hours no seats available, no seperate tables during peak hours, good restaurant for Kerala cuisines, love their rice thali, parota egg roast
Very good place for Kerala food. Loved the chicken Biryani which is more of a Malabar style. Do try fish items which are good, only thing is the legendary Kerala parota which Kerala cuisine is famous for is not upto the mark.
The food is amazing ♥️
I loved the poori and egg roast !
Must try. Place is clean and hygiene.
It's quite a good place to go with family as well.
But do visit and try poori and egg roast
I have been a regular customer of Chefmaster. If you want to taste authentic Kerala food at an affordable price, this is the go to restaurant. Service and ambience is good. You will get to taste varieties of seafood - Seer fish, Anchovy, Catla, Clams, Crab, Cuttle Fish, Pink Perch, Mackerel, Mussels, Prawns, Pomfret, Pearl Spot. Apart from this, they have varieties of Chicken side dishes - Chicken Fry, Chicken Kabab, Chicken liver, Chicken stew, Chicken curry. You will get breads like Kerala Parotta and Chapathi. During lunch time, you will get meals with fish curry, sambhar, rasam and butter milk. I will recommend this restaurant for Bangaloreans.
Small restaurant that serves good Kerala style food and doesn't disappoint at all. The ambience is okay but nothing to complain about. The taste and quality is quite appreciable for it is so easy on the pocket. Kadala curry is not to be missed along with the Tea which is really nice. And they serve herbal warm water just like it is done in Kerala.
Kerela paratta Fish curry meals was brilliant.most authentic Kerela food I had in blore so far. The prawns fry was not so good. Ambience is not so good.

Good food, cheap and tasty. Even the service was great and people were friendly. I'd suggest to visit atleast once. I loved parotha and curry there.
Chefmaster is for you, if you're looking for an authentic Kerala mess in Bangalore. Don't go here if you're looking for fancy ambience. We've been to Chefmaster many times and been there yesterday after long time. As usual we ordered Meals. On sides we ordered Avoli fry and Koonthal. Both were yum, but were not as good as we had last time here. If you want to try Mussels ever, they serve that as well (you won't get it in many places in Bangalore).
Authentic Kerala food served in a homely style. Have been a customer for last 5 years from day 1 I moved into Bangalore and still the go-to place when I need a break from cooking at home but still want it close to homely stuff. Favourite options, limited by being a vegetarian, would be puttu kadala.
Small place with nice Kerala Food. Had puttu and kadala curry. My friend had Appam and egg curry. Both were nice. The service can be a bit slow!
Excellent boiled rice meals and fish fry. Small town hotel ambience that's hard to find in the city usually. Very quick and friendly service. A Kerala place that is often visited by local Keralites (and not just outsiders like me looking to try Kerala food), you can hear lots of Malayalam around while you eat.
They usually accept only cash, but can get you a credit card machine access from a neighbouring shop if required.
This is definitely a place to visit if you're not the sort who only remembers Kerala food during Onam Sadya time.
Excellent for breakfast. Authentic taste. Puttu, Appam, Kadala curry available...
Meals available. Fish fry was not good. Fish is not fresh and not authentic Kerala style.
It is a small hotel with average look but it is clean and neat. Maximum 30 chairs would be there .
Price is bit high but OK considering the taste...
If ur really looking for some tasty kerala food u should try this😋. Especially u should try fish curry that's d Best u will get in Bangalore.Best in quality, not quantity👍
An ethnic Kerala restaurant in the hustle bustle of Bangalore city. On the way to Jayanagar 4 T block from Banerghatta flyover; it's a small restaurant which you may tend to miss out.
Me and my friends in our initial incubation period in Bangalore found this place and shifted house in proximity even though our workplace is not so near this restaurant. Believe me; you don't get an authentic Kerala cuisine like this in south Bangalore with a big list of delicious dishes! That too; in a place famous for 'dharshinis' and Andhra style restaurants this one definitely stands tall.
I had a craving for the specialities like:
- Puttu; Appam with exotic Chicken Kuruma/Stew; Payaru curry for breakfast
- Kerala meals with pappadam and payasam; seer fish; prawns and squid or fish biriyani for lunch
- Pazhampori; Elayada for evening snack
- Kerala Porotta/Chicken Liver Fry for dinner
Not to forget many other dishes which scintillates the taste buds and provides satisfaction of not feeling away from home at all!!
We had a great time having food@Chefmaster three times everyday till all the friends got married and changed job locations. Still we find time on weekends to drive here and enjoy the food with families and kids!!
I have known this small but awesome restaurant since 8 years and I would rate this as one of the best Kerala restaurants I have ever seen in Bangalore, especially in South Bangalore. Almost all the food are tasty and worth the price we pay. You will get all varieties of Kerala food here which is put up in a nice location as well. However, don't expect Non-Kerala food at all, except for some Chineese food items.
This is my goto place in Jayanagar to have authentic kerala style food. Chefmaster doesn't have huge customers as they stress only on quality food without giving much importance for quantity. Hence, people who tend to eat heavy would get dissapointed :)...
Pros: All Kerala variety food available.
Clean and hot food served always
No bad experience at all whatsoever.
Good and Cordial staff.
Cons: No idly available for Morning breakfast.
Not all the staff speaks English, which is still fine.
Weekends sometimes betweem 1-3pm you might experience a rush which makes you wait for some 10-15mins
Food Varieties:
Fish curry meals and the fish curry is great ....
Morning different varieties of Dosa, Appam, etc.
Puttu with Kadal & Cherupayar curry in weekends.
Appam and Chicken stew on Sundays
Kappa and Meen Curry during evening on weekends are some of the delights served here....
My favorite is Pepper Chicken, Cherupayar curry and Idiyappam with Veg Kurma....

This is one of the best place to eat Kerala style food with Fish for a descent price. The staffs are very cordial and even they are okay to customize your food (less/more spicy). I rate this restaurant 4.5 having said that i am a regular customer. This is my go to place when i am around that place. They get you food faster, and doesn't make it wait very long for your food.
My all time favorite Kerala restaurant in Jayanagar : Being a regular customer for more than 6 years, I can definitely say its the best restaurant in Jayangar where you can get Kerala style food. Chefmaster is the only reason I took my house near Eastend road even though my workplace is little far from there.I have breakfast and dinner almost all days from chefmaster only. There was not even a single day when I had problems with food or service. Food has always been too good and the guys out there are very friendly and polite.
My most favorite dishes are Fish chilly, Egg Dosa, Cherupayar curry, and almost all fish dishes out there
Pros: cleanliness
best quality food
polite and friendly waiters
descent cost (pocket friendly)
no bad experience I faced or witnessed till this day
Cons : not all can speak english or hindi still they manage and serve you very descent .
Only item I don' t like there is Lemon Juice.

Chefmaster 🍽
Place where we can end up for Malabar biriyani and good anjal fish. Located next to my house, it was easy to end up to reach the place. Located on east end main road next to primala provision.
They have a good and pocket Friendly menu, where any one can afford, it was something like a mess section. Ordered Malabar chicken biriyani, Parota and egg Masala and Anjal fish dry. Everything was fresh and served quick. Ended up meal with sweet and salt lime juice.
Been coming here for past 10-12 yrs!!! Small place!! But the food is absolutely lip smacking!!! The fish meals are a treat!! uffff!!!! to add that butter milk and the crisp and spicy fish fry!!! The only concern is, sometimes the fish is not fresh!! Prices are decent!! Must visit if u crave for Malyali food!
You need a few skills to come back to your desk for a good slumber from Chef Masters. I'll list them for you. One, awesome hand signs to indicate of the dish you want (if you don't speak the universal language of Malayalam). Two, the dexterity of your fingers to relish the freshly prepared sea food on offer. Three, speed. Four, a pretty convincing reason for you to step away from your workplace for an hour to this feast of sorts.
They're pricey but then you don't really have as many options of coastal food in the area who'll serve you fresh catch. I am in love with their fish meals, fish of the day and the curries, sambhar and rasam that is readily available. I make it a point to visit them when I can for lunch.
Options for a vegetarian? Well, I won't know. Call them up with a Malayalee liason to find out.

Well prepared classic malayalee meals. Crisp fish fry. Makes the day of a malayalee any day!!
Tucked away in the street parallel to Bannerghatta main road... The place can be easily missed if you arent looking for it.
Unquestionably the best place in Bangalore for the love of Kerala food. I've been here multiple times. Though by hygiene and the ambience it does not qualify as a restaurant, the food would blow you away!!
Recommended dishes: Incredibly wallet friendly meals, chicken biriyani, fish biriyani, prawns roast. You should even try the Mussels.
I've always been here around late lunch time, so I've not tried Puttu and Appam which are breakfast deli
Chefmaster is a tiny little eatery located diagonally opposite to Curry leaves on the East end main road. I got to know about this place from my keralite friends who used to come here regularly. As i am a fan of kerala food, especially their sea food, i immediately went to this place and going there regularly ever since. The place is usually full with keralites with few like me going there to explore new cuisine. The ambiance is below-average with nothing to speak about their hygiene. Their wash basin area is one of the filthiest i have seen.
But once you get over these impediments, it is a very good experience food wise. I like their meals, both white rice meals as well as the boiled kerala rice meal. They provide excellent sambar. I usually order fish curry along with rice, thee two go along very well.
The next favorite is parotta curry. They make awesome kerala parottas which are very soft , layered and very well cooked.
The third favorite here is their fish biriyani. The fish biryani is more like their chicken counterpart made kerala style but i like fish one better than the chicken one. The fish that comes along with the biriyani is big and very tasty.
And all their sea food stuff are those which keep my craving for this place intact.
Service is good, nice and friendly. It is damn cheap when it comes to the pricing of their menu. A very good place to go to if you like kerala cuisine.
Awesome. They never compromise on quality or traditional of kerala taste. You can get a veg meals for rupees fifty. Evening snacks like pazhampori, ela adda are famous.
Very difficult to find, but once you do, you would go on a trip to Cochin and back! The food is brilliant. There are hardly 5 items in the whiteboard on the wall, and you would want to have all of them at once. Kadala curry is super authentic to the taste of Cochin. Aaapam is a little difficult to get for breakfast on a Sunday. The place is neat and clean. Egg dosai and kattan chaaya is a must taste!
Good kerala food. Will get nice kerala meals with fish curry. Fish fry is awesome. Little over rated but worth trying when you stay at bangalore. Great relief for malayali people.
Best place for authentic kerala style food. I dont have count for the number of times i have visited this place , never disappointed me when it comes to taste and food quality. This place is congested and limited when it comes to seating arrangements (max 30 people can be accommodated).
Sea food is this place speciality (best in bangalore), fish is always fresh and tasty.
Appam - egg roast , kappa-fish curry and meals are must try.
No dishes are over priced (best price in bangalore for kerala style food)
Overall this place is a must try for all the south foodies.
I would say, these folks serve the tastiest Kerala Thali that you will ever eat in Bangalore. Even though this place is far away for me, I wouldn't mind going here for a weekend meal just coz of the fact that the sambhar and fish curry that they serve with the Thali, are packed with flavors and unlike other places, are not the diluted versions!
Other Kerala delicacies like kappa fish curry, Puttu Kadala, Idiyappams are no exceptions. Seafood preparations and Chinese dishes are delicious as well. And even if you stop by during tea time, their crispy banana fritters and hot tea won't disappoint you!. Ambience is not great, nevertheless if you just want lip smacking mallu food, this is the place to go.
The hidden Kerala mess, i consider this as one of the best kerala eat outs in Bangalore. It isn't a restaurant, but taste better than many Kerala restaurants. Many bachelor keralites dine here and you'll know this spot only through word of mouth publicity. Must visit spot for a southie seafood lover.
Best kerala food available here. Puttu kadala curry. Appam, Idyappam, Green peas masala, payar curry are very good. Puttu is a must try. Fish curry is also very good.
Small place but good to have food.. We had appam with kadla curry.. Taste was good. We had starters prawn ghee roast and bangda fry tasted yummy. To make tummy full we added jeera rice... Overall good food for price of 530.
Nice Kerala style restaurant, Limited dishes, good quantity, quality and taste. Chicken, Fish and Prawn dishes available along with veg items. Affordable prices too..
It's a small place. The Kerala meals served here is pretty good. They have a lot of varieties of fish. When it comes to price , for meals it's okay but for fish it's on the upper side.
I have no words to express my happiness after eating food at this Kerala style food restaurant. No doubt that food is awesome. But i loved the way customers are treated with warmth welcoming nature of the staff. Even the drinking water is unique in itself. One has to visit and then experience by themselves about the food and place. I just simply loved this hotel ❤️👌👍🤤😋🤗
I used to have food a decade ago at this place when i was staying around this neighborhood and recently visited after many years, still keeping its glory and tradition. You can definitely try kerala cuisine here.
Provide Homely Kerala food. Good taste. They must increase Quantity compared to price. I think Pleasing customers is not there priority
Visit here during Onam for sadya food. 480rs for special sadya
Overall good Kerala food. Boiled rice which is good for health and great fish curry. The only drawback is the waiting time during peak hours especially during lunch.
Well, I know this place for over fifteen years. I used to be a frequent lunch customer for slightly over three years until I was relocated from Bangalore. After a gap of five years, I revisited them this time, and I was pleased to find that the food and service were as fantastic as ever.
One of the best place where we can find the authentic Kerala cuisine.
Best Kerala food I ever had after a long time in Bangalore 😋
An authentic kerala style food.
It has homely taste .
They have variety of fish , the fish is very fresh.
Ambience is simple and good.
Must try kappa with fish curry or prawns masala as well as biryanis.
A best place in and around jayanagar for a family lunch/dinner.
Some of the other dishes like idiyappam , parota, puttu, crab roast , koonthal are also available.
Small space with Authentic variety of Kerala style food. No dedicated parking. To be parked on the road in front of the shop. However worth a visit alone or with family.
It's fine, that's it. Kerala cuisine, dine in facility available. Non veg including fish also available. Do parcel service, also present in Swiggy and Zomato...
