Appam with egg curry and beef cutlet was yummy:) If you are looking for authentic Kerala food .. then this is your happy place. The most satisfying breakfast for a mallu like me. One thing negative was that the food wasn’t hot enough and we had to re-heat it before having.

Dropped by this outlet recently, when we were randomly hunting for Kerala cuisine and ever since then our taste buds got addicted !!! Soft thattu dosas, fresh appam served hot and yummy chicken curry.
Could not stop ourselves from the visiting again the same Sunday afternoon to enjoy their signature meals!! Great food, good service, ambience is very authentic.

This little place may miss out in easy glance .. but horizontally opposite to DLF main gate on first floor houses this amazing place, since I am vegetarian my experience is restricted to the veg meals and it’s easily one of the best Kerala meals you get in south Bangalore. Their banana pachdi is heaven. I would recommend it to anybody who is on look out for authenticicity in food
Superb beef roast and appam! Well behaved staff... The interior can be better to pull more crowd for eat-in purpose.... Currently I feel take away is a better option... But no complains with the food n ppl... Both are great... Will visit again... 😊

If you are a Malayali in Banglore and craving some proper Kerala food,this is the place to satisfy you. The best Kerala food I've ever had in bangalore, the place has a nadan touch to it and the food is delicious, we had puttu and porotta with kada roast (quail)and beef roast. We couldn't just stop there so we had dosa and crispy plain dosa with sambar and coconut chutney(amazing chutney)
The food was spicy and flavoursome.
The price is very reasonable for the quality and flavour. If you don't wanna travel this far there is an outlet in BTM. It's a must try.
U can never take out the pothu irachi and porotta out of a malluu !!! So once I reached Bangalore the first thing I searched for was a good pothu Curry and porotta. And I found my perfect place also. I had ordered food from Veruthe oru thatthukada and it was perfection. Thank you guys for making the pothu irachi just as how we get at our home. U guys are a gem. I havent visited them yet but will sure visit them in future. Recommending this place to all my mallu friends out there.

I chanced upon this place while checking for Onasadya. Read the reviews on the internet and later learnt from my children that this place sells authentic Kerala food. The manager of the Bannerghatta branch and the owner assured me that their Sadya is very popular.
I shortlisted three places, then finally selected Veruthe Oru Thattukada and our family is happy and satisfied we decided on this.
For our family get together for Onam we ordered the food (Sadya) from here. The food was sumptuous and tasty. Well packed and delivered at our doorstep. They, very thoughtfully sent even salt, small mineral water bottles, ghee, papadam besides 25 other items. There were two varieties of payasam.
Food was good overall. Olan, Kalan, Semiya Payasam, Paruppu Curry, Pulissery stood out.
Highly recommend this place to order your Onasadya next year.
I heard that they get order for around 1500 Sadya daily during Onam.

For the foodies, this is a head-on place. Woah! I'm much glad that I found this place on that corner of the road. On a Sunday afternoon after couple of beers we wanted to have the proper Kerala meals. And, zomato throws up this place on 1st and the same itself catchy that you really wanna know what's the veruthe oru paripaadi there 😀😀. it was around 1.45pm when we reached and the place was packed and how. So, it did give me a good signal that whatever it is I'm gonna walk out this place with a happy tummy ✌.
After 5-10mins we finally got a table and we literally rushed because the had enough suspense running in mind. But, argh! didn't know regardless of 10mins waiting for the table we had to wait again for someone to take the order. There was a bit time consumption like in every thing around there.
But, another bomb dropped on us, they got only meals for one person. With no time wasted we asked for a meat biriyani and one meals at least we'll get to know how's it.
Now the real reason I got only one photo and that too is the banana leaf is cuz, Man I tripped on that biriyani. After a long time I'd a such a spicy , yummy and authentic Kerala biriyani . Literally, I was in deep love moment for me. And, then paysam in the end to tease you more. ❤
As of now we'd being twice to this place and placed order for home delivery as well and food wise you got no questions asked it's top notch! yeah, service space got much to work on.

The restraint is quite cozy and has a nice decor. We had ordered the veg thali which is very tasty and is a must try. This was the first time I had Malabar food and the experience was great. The chicken cutlet is a must try. We also ordered fish but that was nothing too special. We got to know that they serve beef only after the end of our meal. We were too full to try a beef dish. I would like to visit the place again to try their beef dishes.
My craving for good mallu meal made me search zomato for nearly a day n then I zeroed down this place and thankfully it was a great find. We entered with no-one to accompany us just the gang of waiters who were very polite and welcoming but in 15 mins d place was full. Undoubtedly it is famous as it serves good palatable food. The chicken stew was applaudable it makes ur tastebuds go wow😍😍 n d perfect accompliment are d appam 🤗🤗amazing 🤗🤗do try d chicken roast and neer dosa. The Kerala parotha is ok a little overpriced for the ambiance but with such good food it u won't mind d price Next time it biryani for sure💪
A good restaurant for food. Ambience is very simple and the place gets congested too soon. Coming to the food ... Dosa, Parota, Tomato Fry, Kadala curry and Egg omelette is superb... Their lunch menu looks nice and tasty ... One suggestion will be if the authenticity can be maintained while delivering the order by avoiding foil and using only plantain leaf...
No idea about non veg stuff ( me - Veg) but none the less great food and hope they maintain the quality of food....

If u r searching for typical nadan food your search ends at VOT. Friendly people and serves food with such warmth that u feel special just lyk how family treats u. You must try chicken biriyaani (my all time favourite). Quantity n quality at its best.
A place popular for Kerala tiffins & curries. The chicken kothu parotta is my favourite though. The curries are authentically prepared in Kerala style.

We ordered kerala meals, podi meen ( powdered fish), and beef fry.
Food:
The meals and fish were yum. Although the quantity for fish and beef fry was less, we had a hearty meal. The pazham poori (banana fry) was delicious but kind of cold and oily. @
Ambience : it's a small place and less crowded. Once u enter it, ul feel like u are in kerala :)
Budget : 4meals, 1plate podi meen and 1plate beef fry , 2banana fry:550rs.

Awesome and yummy Kerala food. We ordered fish roast, seer fish fry, parotta, dosa and egg roast. All were well cooked and tasted yummy. Quick service too. Will definitely visit again.
Have only ordered food from here. Never been to their shop. The taste is authentic Kerala. On top of it, if you like spice and request them to make it spicy they know how to do it right. Unlike other restaurants where they just add some extra green chilli to top up the spice, here they top the spice and also add the required amount of salt to compensate for any pungency.
Have tasted rice puttu nd kadala curry , Puttu is very soft and tasty with grinded coconut .. Kadala curry was also good.. They have delivered Authentic Kerala food in our own taste.. Really a good option for Kerala food :)

A small and very simple hotel near to DLF gate begur. Little difficult to find and it's in 1st floor. But the ambience ,staff and food super.
We had come from Chennai. We wanted some good nadan kerala meals and our search ended here. A small hotel located in 1st floor near to DLF flats in begur. We were 6 and had to wait for a while to get the seats. We ordered meals, chicken fry, beef fry, chicken thoran. Everything was good but I would say chicken thoran is a must try among these. So if you are looking for good Kerala meals try here next time.
I've not visited the restaurant but had been placing orders online. I love varutharacha kozhi curry and chiratta puttu. Outstanding. Those who are not used to spicy curries may need to request to make the curry less spicy. Appam is great. Although I expected Kozhi Thoran to be a disappointment (because chicken and "thoran" - usually veg - don't go well together), it was good. Thattukada spl chicken curry is also good but I think it's overpriced.
For those who want to have real kerala tasty food, must visit. Visited many times reasonable rates....good service..They have home delivery also.
Good mallu food... Meals, fish fry, sulaimani are my favorite... The ambience is different from usual restaurants... The service is good well...
Last week went this place, We had beef fry , parotta, appam, chicken curry and biriyani from here .Everything is very good in taste especially the beef fry.Cost is a little bit high compare to other small hotels like in this same group.The special attraction here is the traditional Kerala hotel ambience though the space is very less.

Good place to have nice kerala food. the biriyani was nice. Definitely a must try place. This place is difficult to find, but close to DLF gate.
A really nice place to have some really good Kerala food. I like the meals and the special meals. Egg roast , Rotis , fish fry and beef are good here. Overall the set up has been kept down to earth. Service is good and also the food is cheap and affordable. A must try place but yet again the restaurant is in a hidden place; difficult to find.
We ordered the Vishu Sadhya. We didn't expect it to be such a hit. We were totally mind blown. All the curries were super delicious. The quantity was perfectly enough for all of us.
The only thing was that they didn't give pappadam. That's why the 4 stars, otherwise definitely I would have given 5 stars.
The food made our day. As we were all missing home on this new year. We are totally satisfied that we ordered from here.

A cute kerala restaurant with amazing food.
Location : right infront of the dlf apartment on left side first floor. Difficult to find the stairs though.
Ambience : cuteness n nostalgia all around.. All posters of old movies (naseer, sheela and jayan).. All old songs playing in the background. It's a small place. 5 tables which can max take 6 people each. The wash Basin is an old ural.. So totally nice y place
Food : first visit today n am definitely gonna go back n try more food n write reviews again.
Today I tried chiratta puttu and fish moilee.. Wow.. Loved it.. Chapati n egg roast... Lovely.. Egg roast could have been better if it was less sweet.. But otherwise all around yummy.. Will go back for meals n kudampuli fish.
On the pockets : won't make a big hole.. Except for fish everything is totally on the complete pocket worthy price.. All the 4 items as above n one appam n one double omelette cost me 400 bucks. So definitely this place is worth visit for food n considering price..
Rating : 4 now.. Will revisit based on fish kudampuli n others dishes which I will try very soon.

I have had food plenty of times from here and would recommend this place for tasty food.
Food was always awesome and tasty, but the Vibe isn't that great for dining in (more like a small hotel setting).
The cost for Onam sadhya was way too high but considering the taste and quantity, it was worth the price. (the other items arent very costly)
Excellent place to have Kerala Style food.
Beef Biriyani is my favorite one ever.

Order through swiggy for breakfast. I ordered 2 thattu dosa, idli and mutta appam taste wasn’t Really good yummy. Fully satisfied With my breakfast. Portion size and price both reasonable.
Overall this is one of the best restaurant to have Kerala style food. I strongly recommended this hotel for Kerala food lovers.

I was looking for Kerala food in Swiggy and tumbled upon Veruthe oru thattukada. I really loved the chicken pothichor at the time and wanted to visit the place and took the first chance I got. The food was really delicious, authentic Kerala taste. Had fish fry meals with natholi fry and loved it. They've some 5+ thorans with the meal and each one of them was great.

Had Chicken Kotthu parotta and Kizhimeen. The taste was amazing Parotta was Crisp and shredded chicken was well mixed with Masala. I thoroughly enjoyed every Bite of it..
The place has wonderful food , espresso Kerala cuisine. I had meals (oonu) with a fish curry and omlette. Portion size is good and very tasty too.
It's recommended to visit this place for a take back to our Kerala cuisine memories and delicacies.
The only downside I felt was the fish curry was not that great. It lacked the main ingredient "Malabar tamarind(kudampuli)" thus making the fish curry not worth the hype.
Other than that, this is a must visit spot.
They have very good hospitality and great food. By chance i was not happy with one of my food and they replaced it for me later. They have very good biryani.

Yesterday’s lunch was at a nice and neat cozy joint - Veruthe Oru thatukada (VOT) at Akshyanagar Bangalore. A small place on the first floor with interiors done with old Kerala traditional antique pieces, we found their menu with a whole lot of authentic Kerala items. With funny quotes from various Malayalam movies painted on the wall, the dining hall was filled with the traditional benches and tables for accommodating about 20 to 30 customers. We tried their Kerala Fish curry meals, Karimeen Pollichathu, Kappa meen curry. The fish curry meal with all the traditional accompaniments was superb. So was the fish curry and meen pollichathu. The Kappa was done well in coconut oil and was soft and tasty. All came at an economical price. For those In Bangalore who crave for authentic Kerala dishes, this looks like a right place to visit. This place is not far from Meenakshi Mall which is a Mallu paradise especially during the weekends.
