After a lot of confusion i decided to try out the rasmalai cake for my Moms birthday. It was soo yummy.. the frosting had the perfect flavour and wasn't too sweet.. the sponge was moist . Website has lovely pictures and loyalty promotion discounts. Delivery even 10km away was prompt and perfect. But the high point of Shikha's skill is the cake. It was a surprise for my wife and mother, both of whom are super chefs. They, and everyone else at home, found the rum and raisin cake quite delicious, moist and very fresh. Thanks so much for being a lovely part of the family celebration!
Loved the service of le gateau and zomato as well. I have misspelt the name of my would be by mistake. Called the zomato delivery boy then he returned back to the shop once again. Got it done. There's just something when the cake is perfect in an event. The few moments of absolute silence when everyone is just enjoying the cake. That's what Le gateau provides. This is not the first time I ordered, and true to their rating, they have never disappointed. It feels like eating love. The chocolate is rich, not too sweet, cake is spongy and moist, not dripping with syrup and customization is done to the T.
A small blip with regard to the chocolate raspberry cake is that there's not actual raspberry. It was just a jam. It wasn't bad, but it's not really raspberry either.
That being said, I'd definitely order again from here.
When I received nutella chocolate cake, some nutella had fallen off the cake, distorting the entire look But the taste was superb infact supremely delicious and soft. I have a suggestion, you can use ice packs in your packaging like ibaco does for its icecream cakes.

I ordered a Bailey's cake for a birthday, I promise you you won't be able to find a fault if you do. The cake was moist, tasted of Bailey's and was really a treat. I was looking for a customized cake for a friend's birthday and there's no better place than 'Le Gateau' for that!
I ordered a 'chocolate mudcake' with fondant and print. The cake was moist and delicious. But the best part about it was definitely the way it looked!
All I had to do was send a picture of the design to the chef and believe me, the end product was just phenomenal. The print was of excellent quality and I would definitely recommend it. The fondant tasted a bit weird but I'm guessing that's how it was supposed to taste. But the cake was splendid! Also, the cakes are priced reasonably and that's definitely another plus point.
Overall, I was very impressed with the cake and would recommend 'Le Gateau' especially for customized cakes coz they're amazing at it. Kudos to the chef for her excellent work!

They simply taste as what they sound like, 'Le Gateau'. Their cakes are awesome specially the Red Velvet., the other one that we had ordered was Black Forest. We tried these two and both were fresh and delicious.

I tried the Red velvet jar and choco lava jar dessert. Both tasted splendid. It had good amount of layers of cream and cake. It costed me 100/- each I also tried the Box of happiness cupcakes , it had 3 different types of flavours and 3 cupcakes of each flavour. It costed me 600/- for 9 cupcakes in total. The cupcakes were decorated really well. The frosting was really well set. The 3 different flavours were chocolate, strawberry and red velvet.

This is a new found place for me. I ordered a cake jar which was good and also a birthday cake. Despite the shop being closed, Shikha still took my order and delivered it well in time (I ordered at 8 pm for a delivery at 11:30 PM) The mango cake was good.

For a start I never got the chance to visit their store, which I surely have a plan to accomplish in near future. However, I did place order through their website, and ask for delivery on multiple occasions, each of which was met with an exquisite cake. My personal favourites are the orange chocolate and the liquor chocolate cake, both of which are exceptionally rich in flavour, but may improve in presentation.
I would also like to take this opportunity to highlight their professional and helpful customer service. I required their assistance on an occasion due to the limited opportunity of altering one's address during an online order through the official website. I feel the shop should attempt to improve the current user interface which will lighten the task of their customer service as well.

Ok, this is going to be a long one so please bare with me. Le Gateau is so so far from our home. Even though Whitefield is not in their delivery zone, they were kind enough to bring it till ITPL/Hoodi so that we can collect from there. Now, you may be wondering why would a customer accept this and doesn't mind collecting it from 2-3km away from home? Well the answer to this is simple, just taste their cake/cup cake once.. Just once.. And I guarantee you, you will find ways to order from them, for all the good occassions, no matter where you are put up in Bangalore. 😊😋
So my wife got this place through her friend and we have ordered so far,
1. "Friends" themed b'day cake, "fruit of forest" flavour (check pics)
Presentation - couldn't ask for more. I got it for my brother who is a big "friends" fan and he LOVED it!!
Taste - one of those things which makes you say mmmmm, aloud, no matter where you are who is around.. you just forget everything and indulge in the beauty of the so called Sweet mother of God.
2. Four different cup cakes (red velvet, chocolate, coffee, venilla)
Presentation - very neat, makes you wonder should I even have it or just admire the beauty of this magnificent piece!
Taste - red velvet is certainly the winner for me. Others were good, really good, but my god!! red velvet - you beautiful beautiful tasty little heaven!
3. Mango cheese cake
Presentation - upto the mark, fair.
Taste - oh.. my.. god.. I have never tasted anything better than this. Ok I like cheese but that has nothing to do with it. One piece of this beauty as soon as it enters your mouth, you know you are tasting something special.. reaallllyyy special!! What an excellent combination of cheese.. and those mango slices and the flavour.. it couldn't have been any better.
4. Choco Lava jar
Far better than what we get in Dominoes.. I don't know any other place or have ever tasted choco Lava cake other than Dominoes so I can only compare with them. And I don't think we'll order from Dominoes again.
In short - for those who love food and worship sweets/cakes/pastries (yeah the ones who got a sweet tooth) this place meets all your requirement and can even surprise you in the best possible way. So 5 stars all along. Kudos Le Gateau, keep it up. Until next time, see ya 😋

Hi initially the cake didn't match the expectation.. however, it was loved by everyone later on, it was tasty & there were plenty of nuts inside.

Trust me, I'm very particular about cakes! So much so that I volunteered to be the cakeSPOC for my team of ~20 people so that no one gets a sub-par cake on their birthday.
I've ordered from Le Gateau twice now and the experience has been great. On the first occasion, I wasn't aware that this is an order-only place so I just called them up saying that I'm sending a person to pick up a ready-made cake. The lady then told me that there are no cakes lying around but she could get one ready in 15-20 mins. Although I couldn't taste that cake, I was quite happy with the promptness and helpful attitude.
My experience with them yesterday truly impressed me. We were looking for a chocolate-based flavour and the only issue with chocolate cakes is that they tend to be dense and heavy and ultimately people end up having very small pieces leading to a lot of wastage. On their suggestion, I ordered the chocolate truffle cake and I was surprised to see that it was much lighter than most chocolate cakes. My team loved it too.
Just waiting for another occasion to order from here!
PS - Unfortunately, the cake was cut in a restaurant with very low lighting so couldn't get decent pics.

In regards to taste which matters a lot for cakes it’s not yum it's marvellous. So fresh, so soft and so tempting by its texture as well. Trust me the moment its goes inside your mouth it melts and the flavour of red velvet and cream is well balanced, the sweetness of cake is also moderate. All these balance of ingredients will make you enjoy the complete cake.
Nutella Ferrero Rocher: This cake into two or three layers, Spread cram and chocolate and chocolate slices on the top Ferrero Rocher balls which was very nicely baked and it’s very delicious and best.

What stands out is their cake quality and taste. I have had cakes from different places - much more expensive than what they offer but no one has matched their quality. Be it cupcake sets for gifting or cakes for general celebrations - they are out first choice. I am yet to get a custom cake from them, I am sure it would be just as awesome.

Had my son's first birthday cake ordered from here...It was made on a recommendation of my friend..whose son's minion cake was also ordered from here. Was a bit apprehensive since I live in Whitefield and the shop is in Old Airport road, was a bit tensed about delivery and its quality..But they have truly lived up to their reviews ..Delivery was on time and the cake was made as per the photo and details shared..The fruit of forest flavour was spot on with real fruit pieces inside...so yummy so fresh.. Le Gateau makes amazing cakes. Not just in taste but also in appearance. You can customise it the way you want. First I loved the red velvet cake. It has the right amount of sweetness and moist. Second I ordered a hazelnut and ferrero rocher truffle cake for a friend's bday. It looked great and the taste was on point and not too chocolaty. I asked them to deliver to a location at a given time. It was nearly packed and was delivered promptly.

I have tasted the chocolate cake, Irish coffee cake, pineapple cheese cake and the fruit truffle cake. Each cake just outbeats the other one in taste. Can't decide which one I like better. I ordered "Fruit of Forest" cake and chocolate truffle cake from here. Let me tell you, by far the best fruit cake and chocolate cake i have ever had. Personally i am not a fan of fruit cakes but after having this, i have become one! The taste of both the cakes was out of the world and the quality was equally good. Prices are reasonable too for such delicious cakes. These cakes remind you that cakes are not just a typical, regular part of an event but can actually make your loved ones feel good! ;)

3 days back I ordered the fruit forest cake from Le Gateau for my Aunts birthday. This was one of the best fruit cakes I've ever had. The fruits were fresh and the cream undoubtedly the best quality - non greasy. Loved every bit. We had 3 cakes in the fridge after 3 back to back birthdays that week including mine. (Unfortunately I read about Le Gateau only after that). So when I placed the order for this one I was planning to pack it for the guests. But more than 3/4th of the 1kg cake was over right there with the 4 of us gorging on it.
In less than a week I'm placing my second order today.
The delivery was prompt and I was also asked to take a look at the cake before the delivery guys left, to make sure it was intact.

My friend made me try a cake from "Le Gateau - The Cake Shop" at someone's birthday.
Since then I have been trying to cover their menu items trying it one by one. The cakes are addictive, especially the Chocolate truffle and double chocolate.
People who are not a big fan of chocolates they have endless options available. The pineapple cake on the menu is one exotic of types.
All their cakes taste very fresh( you'll feel it while trying any fresh fruit cake), texture, icing name anything its just perfect.
If you intimate them well in advance, they do really awesome designs on cakes. They are flexible that way. Delivery service is well ahead of time ( in Bangalore!! Surprise!!)

Great service. Lip smacking cake. Didn't even know that such am exotic cake shop was there right next to my place. The cake is full of texture. You can get a burst of flavors inside your mouth. The best cake to have. Just one thing, don't keep it in the open for long. It would become soggy. I stay in Visakhapatnam and I had to send a cake to my friend on her b'day. I searched for many bakeries but lucky to get to know about this cake shop. 1st I was in a dilemma that if I'd get the proper response or not, was I going to be cheated, would they deliver the thing I wanted to be delivered and so on. But when I talked to the owner of the shop (Shikha) I got totally into a hassle-free zone. She was very generous and helpful. I ordered a face cake and it was a delicious one beyond the expectations. Not only that she decorated the cake with the pic I sent to her profoundly. It's a total value for money. Excellent product and excellent service. I hope they keep it up every time.

I had a special occasion yesterday. Spoke with Shikha ji and asked for a best chocolate cake of theirs to surprise us for the occasion. It was a 1 1/2 KG cake. By looks it was so simple and brilliant. Once I keep it before by 1 1/2 year old little girl she grabbed it by hands and ate it without a spoon. She really enjoyed it. It was having a very fresh taste. Everyone in my family loved it. Would highly recommend it. With no other option left I will be visiting this place often. Shikha ji was very supportive in terms of payment at this Modi movement. Thank you mam. LOVED IT TO CORE.

the first time I ordered this cake in August for a colleagues office farewell celebration. Chocolate mousse cake eggless. you have no idea but was one of the best mousse cakes I have eaten and there were others in office ho took the details of the cake shop from me due to the taste. so I ordered Pineapple cake in September recently for another celebration in office... this flavor with fresh pineapple topping and extra cream.. just tasted like heaven... I will make sure I buy a cake from this place the next time there is a function at work.

I was a bit uncertain if I can rely on them at such short notice, but they did a great job. The store had no apprehensions and were absolutely open to all my requirements. I ordered 2 cakes in a short notice of an hour and half. Quality of cake was one of the best I ever had in Bangalore. Cakes were really soft and fresh. Flavours I ordered : chocolate truffle and blue berry.Both were really yum. I even stored the leftovers for 2 days in refrigerator and it still tasted good.

Superfast preparation & super awesome cake. Had placed an order for a Blueberry Cake which was all set and ready in less than 15 minutes! Unlike any other cake parlour using pre-made syrups, this was completely different. Perfect flavour, perfect moisture (even after a couple days) and perfect balance of taste. Loved it and would definitely recommend to all. Try it to believe it.

This a an impossible place to find. I had to be escorted by one of their staff to finally reach its door. I just needed a chocolate cake for the chocolate day and ordered a half kilo double chocolate cake. The cake looked simple, with no much beautification. But it tasted amazingly fresh and soft. Even after storing the remnants, for the next three days, in the refrigerator it tasted amazing.

The was ok nothing great. The reason i am giving them 4 instead of 3.5 (for the cake they deserve) is that they went beyond their call of duty to deliver in time even when it was not in within 3 km for free.
Beautiful and Moist Cake made to order. I had ordered a cake in the shape of a football with the teams logo on the top, with just a day's heads up. All I had to do was provide some images, and the base flavor of the cake. I was a little nervous, as I was placing an order here for the first time, that too for a custom made cake. The cake arrived on time the next day, and was beautiful, and very tasty. Would definitely order cup cakes until the next birthday. Recommended.

Me and my friends' birthdays have always had the best of cakes to celebrate with, courtesy le gateau! A special mention to the black forest cake which happened to be my birthday cake couple of years back. From then, le gateau has continued to add flavour and sweetness to every gathering and celebration of our group.

What better can it be possible than to get a delicious cake delivered to your home, in less than an hour when you are in dire need of one! And that too at the most economic prices you can find! Can give f&p a ride for money in days to come, in my opinion.
Very cooperative lady at the desk! I only needed a half kg cake where as they dnt deliver less than 1 kg. However she agreed to send even a half kg cake (with some reasonable delivery charges, which existed even with 1 kg cake). Not only did she help me select a flavor of choice by patiently explaining to me over phone but also got it ready in less than 20 minutes (flat 18 minutes). I anyway was close to the shop so ended up picking it personally from the main road where a delivery boy handed it over to me, without making me wait.
Trust me, it was a savior as I couldn't get a chance to order a cake earlier from the bakery of my choice and wasn't keen on gifting someone a bad cake on their important day by experimenting somewhere.

I placed an order for a 2 kilo 'Fruits of Forest' cake and specifically asked Shika if it could be light sweet and true to her word she stuck to what her customer wanted. Everyone who ate the cake was amazed at how light and fresh the cream was, the fruits were absolutely fresh and they liked it even more because it was not too sweet! True value for money and there is no doubt that I will go back for more to Le Gateau! I thought Spoonful of Sugar was good with their pastries but Le Gateau just beat them (in my opinion) because the cakes are not as expensive as SOS. Le Gateau is quality and value for money. Amazing cakes.. I saw this cake shop on zomato. Seeing the reviews i was surprized, all 5 & 4 5. Very rarely food gets this kinda rating.
Now coming to the cake, one word 'AMAZING' i am very fussy when it comea to cake. That's my most favorite dessert. I at times don't like cakes from five star restaurants. But the cake here was just 'Perfect'. Correct sweetness, appropriate softness & right amount of icing. Its difficult to find the shop in case you plan to visit them. Enter the 3rd main, cross Med plus, go to dead end & take a left, 50 mts onbthe right is a yellow gate. There you are @ the cake shop.
One important point. The cakes are worth paying for.

You can be sure of the consistency in quality everytime you order a cake. The first time I came across this bakery, I was apprehensive if they would deliver my order to itpl since they are located in old airport road. However each time they fulfilled their order and each time the cakes met my expectations and beyond. Even if you make a request for small added decorations, for ex: a football themed cake they were glad to do it at no extra cost. Apart from the excellent taste (especially chocolate pastries) , the cake decoration is also first class like that of a gourmet bakery! Kudos to the baker(s) and the cake decorator(s) . Only thing I could complain about is once tthe cake was delivered an hour late. But the remaining 9/10 times I ordered, the delivery was bang on time. Le Gateau is the go to place for any occasion at my workplace , be it a birthday or farewell! Highly recommend this little unheard of bakery. Cheers!

This place is a hidden gem. I called at around 9am to order the 'fruits of forest' cake. The lady on the phone was quite professional in explaining the contents of various cakes so as to make a descision. The cake was ready by 1pm. It was delivered by 3pm...almost 30mins earlier than the agreed time.
Now coming to the quality of the cake. One word 'Awsome'. I mean the amount of fruits, the natural ingredients used and the softness of the sponge cake is just outstanding. In addition the cost of the cake was amost 40% cheaper than what is being sold by many big brand cake shops in Bangalore. All the guests invited at my place truly relished the cake. One thing certain. ..I will order with le gateau from now on only.

Since I moved to my new place on old airport road I have been looking for a good bakery shop, I ordered a Chocolate truffle cake.... The cake was very fresh and tasty... will be ordering another one soon. Only issue was they dont give 1 -2 peices of pastries.. as I wanted to try few diffrent flavours.
Apart from some confusion during delivery, I really liked the product and the way issue was handled by the lady I talked over the phone.
This is hands down one of the best cake shops in town.
Ever since I tried their Fruit cake, every celebration has been incomplete with a cake from here.

Being new to the city, after looking for some 15 cake shops in Zomato and reading reviews I shortlisted 3 cake shops. Now since Sunday was Friendship's day none of the other 2 bakery was ready to deliver it at my place. So then came this bakery which was ready to deliver the cake. Right from my call to this cake shop to getting the cake delivered the experience was amazing. A really polite and sweet voice of the lady named Shikha welcomed me and helped me with my order. I ordered a fresh fruit gateau after reading all the reviews. But again I called and cancelled the order to Mango-Lychee cake. She did that easily. Without any hassle. She committed to deliver the cake by 8.30 pm and bang at 8.40 I got my order at home. Now when I tasted the cake it was super yummy.... It was so soft, so light and fluffy with right amount of sweetness and cream along with mango and Lychee flavors shooting. Had the price been a bit less this cake shop would have got a perfect 5 from me. Will I order cake again from this place? Of-course I will. Without a doubt... :)

I have tried blueberry, mango & chocolate cakes from here. Loved all of them! The cakes are very soft and not overly sweet. The option to get it home delivered makes it so much easier.

I had a tragedy on my son’s 6th month birthday coz I ordered the cake from “love at first bite by tammana” and it was a disaster. But when I contacted Sikha, she not only took the order on urgent basis but she completed in just 2hours that to a customised one.
