Ordered samosas , rasagullas , gulab jamun and andhara muruku, laddoos. Everything was fresh. Surprising since I was hesitant to order in this lockdown . Even samosa was freshly made and sent . All the items came were good.

On the occasion of Holi, I decided to order my favourite mithais from their website.
Being a Sindhi, it's mandatory for me to indulge in traditional Sindhi sweets made during the festival of Holi - Gheeyar and Pragri.

Hence, when I saw that I could directly order for the same from their website, I was elated. I ordered Gheeyar, Pragri and two bottles of their ready to drink Thandai. They also have the Thandai syrup at the moment.

By default the delivery time was scheduled for 5 - 5.30 pm. So, I had to wait for a couple of hours. But, it was delivered a little before 5 pm. โ˜บ๏ธ

Everything was neatly packed. I loved the Thandai and Pragri. The Pragri was crispy and had a good filling of mawa and dry fruits. It was indeed addictive.

The Gheeyar fell short of my expectations. It wasn't like the authentic Sindhi Gheeyar. This was more like a Boondi Jalebi Gheeyar. And the taste was different too.

But, the Pragri and Thandai made up for it. โ˜บ๏ธ

As the name suggests it's basically sweets shop extended with some lip smacking chats n north Indian main course
The ambiance is pretty decent it is 2 floors in koramangala where the 1st floor consists of sweets n light snacks like samosa, kachori

Ambience of this place is not quite appealing however the food is quite tasty.
Tandoori sizzler was really good however the pizza was on the average side.
Would Like to come again and try the other dishes

I had been to Anand Sweets a number of times to buy sweets and snacks. It's a nice shop with a vegetarian restaurant upstairs. The quality of sweets is really good. I have had their Ras Malai, Moong Dal Halwa, Gulab Jamun and namkeen. Ras Malai is absolutely yummy. Halwa is also quite good. I also like their packaging and prompt service.

Quality, quality, quality. One place which stands High in terms of quality and taste. This place has been around for many years and the quality they provide is commendable. Anand sweets has a huge variety of sweets and namkeen, my all time favorite would be Kaju Bites, Pistamika and the savouries are worth trying. They have a restaurant in the 1st floor which serves yummy chats and Indian Thali. Do try their Sizzler platter, it's very very good. The Thali they give is of very high quality and wonderful taste Every time I had to take sweets home or to present it to anyone, this would be my Go to place in Koramangala.

Very good place to have quick bite. Pranthas are good. I like the dhokla very much. I have tried small gulab jamun, rasmalai, chumchum and many more sweets. All are fresh and tasty. Only thing is I guess the price of sweets is at higher end.

One of the amazing place with a good vibe. If you really want to explore what a typical gujarati farsaan, this is a place to be. The best thing is the variety they offers in each section, whether its swerts or savouries.

They have bengali sweets, north indian sweets and south indian varieties also. The finger licking item is masala Dhokla and onion kachori. Whether its a special occasion or any normal day, this place will never disappoint you.

The best thing is the aesthetic upkeep. This place has a good hygiene and staffs are really great in their conversations.

Kudos to team ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Fantastic sweets and snacks. The sweets all looked very good when we first walked in, and they taste as good as they look. The savories are good but the sweets are better. It would have helped if they had samples for some of the packed items in the store. Just go here expecting the best malpua of all time and you won't be disappointed.

This is really one of the good sweets shop in the area. Went there for our sugar cravings. We tried Mysore Pak( okayish, I've had better)
Kaju katli ( was good)
Boondi laddu
They are reluctant to give to warm the sweet but I pursuaded them to do

They do have snacks as chaats and bhautura on 1st floor. The quality is really good But all those are seriously overpriced.

Food- 5/5
Ambience - 4.5/5
Service - 4/5
Hygiene- 4/5
Price- 4/5
Parking- 3.5/5 ( Difficult to find in this area)

This serves one of the best North Indian chaats here in Bangalore is what I would say. The price is bit up, of the few time I visited, I really loved each of their chaat and especially the Pav Bhaaji which I feel is one of the best in Bangalore. Not that the price is too high, but tad high.ย

Alooo Tikki is another of their specialty which would definitely transfer you to lanes of Delhi/ Punjab in memory lanes.

Sweets need no review ๐Ÿ˜ they are my fav anytime ๐Ÿ˜Š

Coming to food, their combos are yum and very Delhi style. Sooji golgappa is a must try. Even the lassi ๐Ÿ˜ Rajma chawal is ok tho.. laccha paratha with dal makhani is my fav ๐Ÿ˜Š have been dining here ever since it reopened and not once did they disappoint. Food is very reasonably priced and the fact that it is self service keeps it hassle free.

Best for?
CHAT LOVERS!!! Family and friends outings.

Ambiance: Good, not fine dining but good enough for guests and families.

Food: Great!
Must Try: CHOLE BHATURE, Sizzlers, Dahi Papdi.
Service: Its a self-service place.
Location: Prime, Parking on road but manageable.
Overall:
Its a bit pricey place, but when you are in Bangalore and you get an awesome finger licking chat in heart of the city you won't mind paying.

' The best dahi bhalla chaat '

I guess they have tied up with 'Puraani Delhi' to extend their chaat menu.....and now it tastes amazing.
The special thalli is enuf to feed 2 not so hungry individuals.....and if you love ghee and butter then you would love their ghee rich gravies served with buttery kulcha and naan.

' A good place for a family evening snack and sweet tooth '

Quite popular in the 5th block and you can barely miss it. The interiors are quite big and very sweet stall like but they have some good place to sit upstairs.

The displays are good and a host of varieties to choose from.

Excellent sweets, chaats and savouries. Love their fig based sweets and badam milk.

I like their pistamika and badamika the dry fruit biscuit sticks. Addictive!

Service is just delivery over the counter otherwise attentive staff.

Price is reasonable though some of the sweets are quite expensive.

Dhoklas, sweets andd everything in the ground floor section are awesome. The 1st floor says a completely diffrent story though. 1st floor has a dine-in self serve facility, with chaats and meals offering. The taste is decent. But it gets too crowded and suffocating during lunch hours on weekends

I'm a huge fan of sweets and desserts. Mysore paak, gulab jamuns are so yumm. Rasamalai is another favorite. The chaat's taste is so unique that it makes me visit the place more often. Came with my friend here for dinner on the north indian dine in on the first floor and had a surplus meal. Even though my tummy was full, I couldn't resist the desserts. A great place to savour one sweet tooth and the taste with quality is amazing. Its not pricey but worth it!

Been to this place twice. Tried their special thali, paneer nan with dal makhni combo, rasmalai, bengali special, fried dhokla. The ambience of the restaurant is good like you find in haldi rams. walls of the restaurant contain special hoardings inspired from Delhi 6. if you ever been to chandni chowk, you can directly relate to it. Food is awesome, worth the price and very specific to the taste. if you have a special place in your stomach for north indian stuff, you may experience foodgasm here. will surely go next time and try their sizzling tandoori platter. For tickling taste buds, you must visit this place.

This is a favourite spot of ours to hit whenever we are in the vicinity. We especially love the Dry Fruit Barfi here - made with just dry fruits and zero refined sugar, no one does this as well as Anand! The Rose Chikki, Pista Florentine and Almond Florentine are big-time favourites too, as are the Gulab Jamun. I love the fact that this is one of the very few places in Bangalore to offer Khandvi and Khaman that is as close as can be to the original stuff available in Gujarat, delicious and fresh! We've tried out most of the sweets here, and have never been disappointed. Service is courteous and reasonably fast, and the place has a charming, posh ambience. Prices here are on the higher side.

I am in love with this place since I have been there. They offer almost all North Indian foods and in actual North Indian taste. We tried veg biryani, chole bhature and papdi chaat. Veg biryani is something really good and the raita which was served with it was the best raita I have ever had. Chole bhature was also good, especially chole. And papdi chaat had sweet curd in it, so I kind of didn't like but it was good otherwise. Overall it offered really good food. Even ambience and service is good. They have self service system and also have sitting facility on first floor. So overall a really good place. Looking forward to go again.

The bottom floor is for all kinds of Indian sweet meats. It's a wide range of a variety of the most basic of barfi and laddoos to bakhlavas. It also has a station for khulfi which I highly recommend to try. The badam milk is also very tasty and one of a kind. The chocomika, badamika and pistamika variety is truly unique and very addictive which I also recommend. On its upper floor they serve meals and chaats. Its a good place for a tasty and hygienic North Indian meals ranging from rajma chawal and paratas.
Priced at an affordable level.

Heard about this a lot specially for their special Navratri thali, so visited in one Navratri eve last week. Since we had no pre-reservation, we had to wait for half an hour but the wait was worth it. After a long time we had such a good flavour of North Indian food. We ordered one deluxe thali and parathas. All the items were very tasty. The amount was also enough to share with 2 people. I never had such dal makhni in Bangalore so far. The malai kofta and sweets all were so yum. And most importantly it costed even less than 400 bucks for 2 people. So it's like for those who wants to have budget friendly and also best North Indian food. I am definitely gonna be their regular customer ๐Ÿ˜‹

Went to Anand Sweets during Navratri and they had a special menu curated for the festival. The place is hygienic with a seating area on top. Coming to real stuff, the food was great. They'd definitely be making the best chaats and savouries in Bangalore. Would return here sometime soon to give the pav bhaji a try. A larger seating area would be ideal though to make up for the rush hours.

The Raj kachori, samosas and chole puri are to die for here. For the deserts malpua and jalebi served with rabedi in kulhad is a definite YES for all foodies.

Located at various locations in Bangalore, this place is apt for everyone providing quality food and service.

The sweets are well-prepared. The sweetness is well-proportioned n is devoid of any excess ghee. There are certain unique innovations such as Kaju-gujiya, anjeer-chilam, badam-gujiya, kaju-tokri, anjeer-pizza, butterscotch-ladoo, paan-burfi, roasted almond channa burfi n the list goes on. Other snacks like Dhokla, samosa, kachori, pakora etc are there too for munching. Plus other namkeen, dry-fruits & gift packs are sold out too for daily or festive seasons. The ambience is quite attractive. The staff is helpful in choosing the right flavour n texture of desired sweet.

Anand Sweets was my regular haunt for rabdi and jalebi for many years before I finally tried some of their savoury meal items. The items I've tried are as follows:

Chola Bhatura: This is the most typically North Indian dish that instantly evokes memories of cold evenings in Delhi and sweltering mornings in Kolkata. The chola bhatura at Anand Sweets did a good enough job of recreating that, down to the dark brown spicier chola curry, as opposed to the lighter one found in other parts. The bhaturas were light and fluffy and fried to perfection. It was served with some onions on the side and reminded me why it is among my top 5 breakfast items. My only complaint would be the cost -- I hardly think 110 rupees for chola bhatura is worth it, but of course, it comes with hygienic eating conditions and place to sit.
Rating: 5/5

Tandoori Sizzler: This was a bit of a let-down for me as the entire dish was basically drowned and then caked in the same kind of spicy tandoori marinade. The paneer was soft and the mushrooms were also well-cooked, but I found the hari mirch kebab too salty and the other items too intensely flavoured for my taste.
Rating: 3/5

Sweet Lassi: I honestly expected better. The lassi was lumpy and the cream bits hadn't mixed properly. I suppose some like it this way but I was rather put off.
Rating: 2/5

The place is very clean and almost sparkles as you enter. Good for a casual bite in Koramangala.

Probably the best Mithai Shop in bangalore. You pick anything and you will just love it. They are masters with their offerings and if you want to have the best taste for your indian sweet cravings, this is indeed the place to be. Only issue is bit too pricey as compared to other vendors and does not even accept Sudexo, Paytm etc. Just traditional cash/card payments. Hence deducting one star.

I love thier dry fruit chikkis but I don't like the rose chikki. The plain original dry fruit chikki is the BEST. Cashew, badam, pista along with sweetness..just so yummy...munch.. and its finished before you even know it.
The motichoor ladoos...mmm..just cant stop with one ..I used to like thier hot-hot jalebi...but no longer getting them hot ,the kaju katli and badam burfi are also really nice.
I go to this place frequently and you cant/will not get bored of eating sweets here .
I don't like their kulfi...tasted really bad..although their rasmalai, rajbhog and rasgulla tastes good.
Jamoon is nice and there are little pieces of nuts inside.
The moong dal halwa is good sometimes and sometimes its not so good..there's this difference in taste everytime.
The dhokla is really dry.
Any festive occasion or just wanna eat this place pops into my mind.

Found it to be a really famous and most visited place in Bangalore.
It has that authentic dilli wala interior with lots of lighting everywhere and nothing special done to interiors.
I probably entered it with my friend just to have a proper northern food and believe me you'll get nothing as compared to what is served in North India.
I ordered a plate of palak kofta and malai paneer with naan but both the veg dishes lacked proper masala. It was cooked great but yes it didn't had that right amount of chilly or spices that was needed in there.
Overall it is still far better than others that I visited.

I've been here quite a few times and every item they have is mind blowing. My favourite has to be the crispy paav and spicy bhaji with lots of onions, nimbu and green chutney.
Even the raj kachori, chole kulcha, rajma chawal and pani puri were brilliant.
They have a large variety of sweets, my favourite is the litchi rasmalai. I don't think this is available all the time. I had it once and I went back for it another time, but they didn't have it, wonder why because it's so different and tastes amazing!

Being a Delhite who loves her chaat, snacks and kulfis I am always on the lookout for places which serve north indian kind of food in Bangalore. So the first time I got to know about Anand sweets my excitement knew no bounds, given it looked like delhi's haldirams/Bikaner in Bangalore. From the various things I have tried here some are hits and sadly some misses too. Misses mainly because I had really high expectations I guess. Among the hits the dhokla is definitely spot on!! So is the khandavi. The aalo tikki, bhel Puri pretty okay too. Papdi chat is a miss for me, given the curd is too sweet and papdi is not really the thin, crispy variety. The sooji golgappe alsi tend to be a bit soggy and the paani is not spicy enough. Coming to the sweets things like - stick kulfis, rasmalai are good.
So do go to this place but don't expect it to be exactly like say haldirams of Delhi, and don't forget to buy paneer from here, simply the best paneer you can get in Bangalore!

Yet another good shop in kormangala for sweets and savouries.

Rasmalai was not good, the chenna was quite hard. I guess they kept it at a very low temperature.

Rajbhog was Ok here.

You may want to try out their kaju katlis it's quite good here.

Their spicy cashews are pretty good too.

Ajwain stick is very nice here. The biscuit is crunchy, having a good texture with a small essence of coconut.

This shop is bigger than any normal sweet shops, and the ambience is good.

There are many people working here, so the service is quite quick.

Price is costly, for the taste.

It's a good sweet shop if you know what to buy from here.

Tip : Do taste the sweets before buying them, to check if they are fresh (ignore if you already do).

I've been going to this place since 2013 and on most occasions, I've thoroughly enjoyed their fare. I generally order their chaats and the combo meals. The taste reminds me of the really good joints in Chandni Chowk and Karol bagh areas in Delhi. Even the smaller snack items like samosas and kachoris are a delight. I did not write a review for this place yet ? the place that serves you nothing but "Anand" ?ย

This dazzling, landmark sweets and savouries shop has been satisfying cravings or people of Koramangala and passer-bys for a long time now.ย

We frequent this place for:

walk in and have some sweets: ย Fresh juicy kalakand (have not seen their match anywhere), rasmalai, spongy rasgullas.

Take home sweets: Your home, someone's home, celebrations festivals: ย  Motichoor laddoos.

Savouries: All varieties of kachoris, samosas are good. The first floor is a different world altogether. The tandoor platters and the panner tikka are just awesome. Pani pooris are best served by the roadside vendors but here you can be assured of higiene. It's DIY pani poori. Varieties of chats just spoil you for choice.ย

Have not tried their regular food items yet like kulchas, rice, thalis etc. will do that sometime, meanwhile for everything else, they are our favorite sweet and savoury shop.

Koramangala's North Indian chat calling.. Not the best place in the country, but more than good enough for me and the bustling crowd that's visible on both floors no matter what time you go. The things that bring me back here repeatedly is the use of good quality raw materials without compromise. Nothing like amul butter or cream in the kitchen and they understand that value. Also the fact that their sweets are made with buffalo milk which is scarce in bangalore. The sweets I'd say are above average. The winners for me are the dahi puri, the mix chat and the paneer Tikka sizzler from the chaat section. The paneer pakodas deserve a special mention. Definitely a place worth spending your money at. It's also transformed into the vegetarian hangout for young adults who would rather refrain from meat. They also now have a special section which is for catering to wedding orders or festive bulk orders. Eitherway, thanks to its location and bangalore traffic this is my hangout to satiate my chat cravings.

It was my first visit to Southern part of our country and for three days I was all on dosa idli and other local dishes. I was missing north food so I went to Anand sweets, ordered a Thai, and on the first bite itself I felt like "I am at home" kind of feeling. Pulao though had a different taste, but rest all the items tasted completely "Dilli" type.

Anand sweets is kinda my adda when I have those post dinner sweet cravings for their amazing amazing gulab jamoons and rasamalaai. Thats two of my most favorite sweets at Anand. This place has definitely created an identity big time in 5th block. They serve good, delicious sweets and savouries. Whenever I am around I pack a box of moti ladoos as they are simply mouth watering. But most of the times I am always here for their hot gulab jamoons which is perfect to end your night after dinner. ย The rasamalai is amazing and simply perfect . Each time this place gives you an amazing satisfying experience.

A big fan of this place since it was opened (I wanna say, 2012). This is a 2 level Anand, Sweet Anand, Savoury Anand. Both Anand are amazing. Sweet one lives to the reputation and Savoury one gives you a lip smacking Dal makhni, Lassi, Pani poori, Thali, Chaat, Naan, Paav Bhaji and so many other things. I use to stay near Kormangala club and use to walk to this place whenever I wanted to, now I am 1000 kms away, and I badly miss the place. I don't know if there is anyone who hasn't tried this place, but if you haven't then just visit this place. Cant write anymore, just too emotional. ๐Ÿ˜€

I swear by their Malai Paneer.

Being from the land of sweets, kolkata, it is really hard to get satisfied after eating a sweet. But yes, Anand Sweets is a shop you can actually trust with the taste, quality and authenticity. A sunny Saturday ย afternoon

sweets . This place has been in my list for having chaats from a very long time
, From the time I have heard that they haveย ย
โ€œ Delhi likeโ€ Chaats .

ย

Ambiance :

They have sweets section at ground floor which is very
tempting and Chaats/Foo section on the first floor.

It has basic clean seatingย
with self service , which is good.

ย

Food :

ย

We ordered the following :

Golgappas

Chola bhaturas

Paav bhaji

Dahi bhalla.

ย

Dahi bhallas were the star , I loved it , Very soft , melt
in mouth bhallas.

Golgappas were good too, The paani was perfect .

Paav bhaji ย and chola
bhaturas were strictly Ok .

Also we took the moong daal halwa ,ย  Ras malai,ย
which tasted heavenly .

ย

VFM : Everything wasย
under 500 bucks , which is pretty decent .

Would I go here again : yes definitely , The chaats
wereย  more than satisfactory . :)

The finger like biscuit packages ( Badamika, Pistamika and a Chocolate one ) packed in twos and threes) are highly addictive, and make great gifts, as do their chocolates.
Special festive sweets and savories( for Holi, Karwa Chauth etc) taste just like the ones back home. Simply love their Kulfis too.

If you've got a thing for Indian sweets, chats and north indian food then this place is a must visit. Although priced a little higher than usual places, but the food they serve makes every extra penny you pay a worth it.
I don't think any other places serve better chats and pani puris than Anand. Their dahi puri is one of the best I have tasted so far. The quality of dahi is and the flavors from the masalas is just perfect.
The suji pani puri is equally good. They serve two types of pani. A green mint pani which is sour and spicy and a khatta meetha pani.
They also serve thalis and it is more than sifficient for a single person.
Coming to the sweets section, the entire ground floor is dedicated entirely to sweets and savories. Right from milk to dry fruit sweets..they have it all. The boondi ka laddu is too good to be true.

So far, this is my favorite north Indian restaurant that always gives me a smile on face with the satisfaction that that one hardly gets after spending money while eating out. In my opinion, there is no competition to it for its Paneer dishes, the best in quality and taste. There is no doubt on the quality of this restaurant, I would not say it's perfect place for everything as no one is, not even a 5 star hotel. But whatever you eat is made with purity. My favorite dessert is its kulfi, that I would personally say that you will not find that orignal taste in North also or that I have tasted in my life. Excellent place for any food lover whose priority is quality first.

Probably the only place which comes to mind when there is a need to get sweets - be it for friends, family or colleagues. For any occassion you will find any kind of sweet here. They are really good. And not just that, the other things that you can eat here are really good too - i had a veg thali once which was mind blowing. Not a veg fan but the ietms they gave were really really yumm. I end up mostly packing thalis and sweets for colleagues in huge quantities from here! The place is spacious, hygienic and friendly. If you are looking for variety of sweets this is the place to be.

I have been to this place quite alot time and will keep on going till I am in Bangalore. The speciality of this place is all types of Chaats and also rajkachori filled with curd and many items. Once you eat the golgappe and tikki chat, you will get all the flavours which we get in north India. They refer there chats as delhi ki chaat. I surely believe this as taste is amazing. I will like to give rating on the food item that we ordered there:Tikki Chaat- 5/5, Golgappe-5/5, Rajkachori stuffed with namkeen and curd- 5/5, Kulfi-5/5, Boondi laddu-4/5, Chhole Bhature-4/5, Veg Platter-4/5, Daal Makhani with kulcha-4/5, Pav Bhaji-5/5.Conclusion is all food items were tasty and when you taste the food you will surely get the proper taste of north indian food. This place started out as a sweets only shop. They had some of the best sweets to offer in Koramangala. I was really sad to see it shutdown for renovation. They were really smart in not entirely shutting down business till their shop was redone. It was shifted to the terrace opposite it, where book fair is usually conducted.ย
When they re-opened, what I felt was they blow up their budget in the decor of the place. It has huge chandeliars for a place that is not so huge. What we see is an addition of a floor , where service is available for chaats and other north indian savories like parathas.ย
Their bengali sweets are to die for. Rasmalai, cham cham, rosogullahs( of varied colors !), jamun etc.
After a few days, this place became my favorite place for sweets and chaats.ย
I would like to mention that the hygiene levels maintained here are really high.
Aloo Tikki chaat is their best chaat, do try it out!

Located in one of the famous food lane in Koramangala 5th Block, this place is my favourite to get the best quality Sweets in the town.

While they have the ground floor dedicated for Sweets and snacks, the 1st floor has a dine in facility for north Indian chaats and other dishes. They do maintain the quality with all items and you really get the taste of street food of Delhi here.

Undoubtedly, one of the best places in the town for sweets and north Indian snacks.

Made an online order for dinner. Panneer tikka for the starter was very yummy. Main course included aloo and pudina paratha, pulao, dal makhani and channa Masala. Dal makhani was very creamy and delicious. Pulao was flavourless and almost tasted like plain rice. Raita and badam milk were very tasty. Not able to accurately say how good the food was since it was home delivered and cold. But it does tempt me to try this place once again.

Located in one of the foodie lanes of kormangala, this place is easy to locate. It has the sweet section on the ground floor and the first floor is dedicated to a small eating place which mostly serves you the north indian styled chaats and chhole chawal and rajma chawal to paneer tikkas and few other stuffs. The first floor layout is pretty good with the interiors taking you back to purani dilli! If you love the delhi style food, ย you might just love the place.
This place has been my final stop for my sweet cravings and also for buying sweets for any occasion. I love their sweets. Big thumbs up for the quality services. My personal favourite being their rasmalai. I love the lassi they serve. its thick and yummy. Their chaats are also delicious.ย

Started 27 years ago in Bangalore , Anand Sweets and Savouries is synonymous with good sweets and food for all the festive occasions.ย

The outlet at Koramangla in the 5th block is one of them with one at commercial street being the first.

Being a Rajasthani , I have a grown eating the best of North Indian sweets and savouries from the region. The best of north Indian sweets can be bought from here.Recently when I went to Rajasthan for festivities, I took the "Mysore pak " and "Dharwad Peda" from this place. Both were well appreciated by my family members there.

They also serve some delicious snacks and street chat products.Must try if you are a "Chatora" like me.

The ambiance and the hygiene are also the hallmark of these outlets.

# 1 choice for me when it comes to good delicious Indian desserts and savouries in Bangalore !

I feel everyone in Bangalore knows this place or its branches across many places in the city which brings you various sweets and savouries..
But Anand Sweets is not only about its sweets. The best part of Anand Sweets is that it reminds me of Haldiram's chain restaurant in Delhi. They have two floors, Ground floor has sweets and snacks take away section and First floor is the place which brings out the memories of Real Delhi in Bangalore.. From the sweets to chats, from Chola Batura to Rajma Chawal, from Aloo paratha to Kadhi Chawal.... Everything about this restaurant is just more than perfect..
They don't compromise with taste. I was shocked to eat the chats which are so brilliant. Chola batura and the North Indian Parata platter was delicious, heavy, full and heavenly
Ambience is quite nice with all the wallpapers of Old Delhi everywhere you will feel you in the heart of the National Capital
Staffs are okay, not humble enough to say great

Anand sweets have the best motichoor ladies and Malai kulfi in Bangalore!
They're famous for their variety of sweets and namkeen they have to offer. Good quality sweets and they have all sorts of varieties. They have dry fruits, biscuits, paneer, etc as well as lots of customised gifting options.
I guess a few people aren't aware about the food eating options in Anand. They have great variety of North Indian food and chats.
Their chole bhature is great, and they also have dahi puri, naan, kulchas and sandwiches. They taste good but sometimes it's a bit too oily and spicy which might be heavy on the stomach.
The seating is spacious and the ambience is nice and pleasant. It's a self service place.
But about their service while buying sweets it's very slow, there is lack of staff and it's a mess ordering and buying if there's a slight rush seen. I've faced this a multiple number of times and trust me it's annoying.
Another thing is the availability, half the time they don't have kulfi ready, or some food item isn't available.
Anyway, value for money is fine. But quantity of the food is extremely less for the price charged. It's not expensive but the quantity can be improved.
It's a good option if you want tasty chats and authentic ones especially and if you wanna buy some yummy desi ghee sweets.

We ordered for a Lassi which was also great with a tint of rose flavour. My favourite Gulab jammun was delicious and hot too. They need to have more options in the breakfast or snacks menu. But, food apart, the prices are little on the higher side. They need more seatings so that more people can be accommodated especially during weekends. They have a single restroom both for ladies and Gents which needs to be given a thought as people usually prefer separate restrooms.

One of the best places to eat north Indian quick bites in Bangalore.
We started with Gol Gappa Sooji but the taste was good, then the papdi chaat, not that great.... raj kachori, not like haldiram but still good and the best was aalu tikki.... made me remember about the muzzafarnagar central bank tikki chat.... (Make sure u ask them to prepare the items in the best way u have eaten in north India) or else they will top up with some things, which will destroy the taste. The best of all is the Paw Bhaji.... Awesome taste
Then came the main course, we ordered amritsari kulcha and dal which was OK. Then there was chola bhatura, which was also OK, at least better then Kesar in Whitefield. The best part was paw bhaji, the best we have eaten in Bangalore.
Me, being from UP, really miss the food from our place, but coming here was not a bed step. Will come back again.
Just to add on Gol gappe @ 75 Rs. It's just way too expensive....

An update, they have lowered down the sooji gol gappa prices to Rs. 55 :-)
Paw Bhaji - 5/5
Sooji Gol Gappa - 4/5
Raj Kachori - 4/5

The ambiance is great, resonable sitting place.

I feel this place is a scoop of haldirams. This place has a wide variety of sweets to offer plus Indian snacks. They have dine in too so you could try all the Indian snacks. The quality is too good and the taste is amazing but I feel it is a but overrated as compared to some dishes.

This place is like my go to now whenever I have North Indian Chaat cravings. The Chola Bhatura is exceptionally good with its unique Chhola and so are the chaats. I've tried the Thali on home delivery as well and I was not disappointed as it was quite wholesome and delicious. Overall a nice place for veggies and families.

This is one of my favourite places to binge on veg food.ย  In past when I used to live in kormangala, I was a regular visitor for Lunch. My favourite food out here are: Rajma rice, Paneer/cottagecheese tikkas (fresh and soft cottage cheese) and rajkachori. On weekends try to be early before 7:30PM else you will have to wait in queue and also, rajma gets over pretty early be it regular weekday or a weekend. It's a true north indian restaurant and the kitchen is hygienic and clean, one can see through it while having food... a must place forย chaat's and sweets.

I totally love the sweets here. Bengalis are very particular about their sweets and I am not at all an exception to the rule. I had previously tried a few sweet shops in Bangalore only to be disappointed to the extent of not having sweets altogether. Once I had gone to take some sweets for my office colleagues and when I tasted a few I was pleasantly surprised. Even the bengali sweet section they have is also pretty good. I have visited a couple of times after that.

Anand sweets is a savior for north indians, when in bangalore - quite literally!!ย

Been here umpteen times, this was home to us!!ย Be it the delectable sweets section on the ground floor or the north indian food bonanza on the first floor, this place offers heavenly food!! The taste, feel, aroma everything about the food is fascinating!

Must try sweets - Matka rabadi, malai cham cham, rasmalai, badam ginni! I could literally go on naming their divine sweet creations!! Every single bite is totally yummulicious!

The snacks section is equally appetizing! Must try their bhalla papdi chaat and aloo tikki chaat! These are lip smackingly good! The veg kabas platter is good too, and reallyy filling! The pao bhaji is brilliant and one of the best you can have in bangalore! The lassis are totally punjabi, with that extra thickness and extra sweetness, worth a try!
Surprisingly their paneer curry was really good too, it's very different from the ones you would have elsewhere - very cashew-yy gravy (not spicy), so it might not suit all taste-buds though!

I totally recommend a visit to anand sweets for the heavenly gastronomical delights it offers!

This restaurant is just great in all aspects including food! When we enter here, we would get a rich aroma of freshly made sweets and lovely pure-ghee smell! Unlike all the other small sweet-meat shops, this restaurant is huge! It has 2 floors (ground and 1st floor). The ground floor sells all varieties of sweets, where as the first floor is the dining room, where they serve all "savouries" ranging from Delhi chaats, to Chinese cuisine, it has plenty of variety!

For location, it is located in front of the "Bata" showroom and just next to "Shree Krishna Kafe" in one of the most busiest, bustling and prime streets of koramangala. You cannot miss this restaurant as it is pretty big and bright.

For ambiance, it is neat and tidy. It is surprisingly so, even though it is a sweet shop/restaurant. As most sweet shops tend to be a little bit hygiene unfriendly, but this is an exception! Many people come here to buy their share of sweets at almost every occasion and festival they come about!

For service, in terms of the ground floor (for sweets), there is a big man with a mustache who opens the door for all costumers, which is a nice way to greet people. The waiters/servers are kind and patient enough to listen to all the orders given to them! They do give us a small bit of the desired Sweet, for taste when we ask them. All sweets are weighed appropriately, according to the desired weight, by the servers in a weighing machine. They are then packed in a neat box by them too.
In terms of the first floor (for savouries), it is actually the "self-service" concept where we have to order all our food from the menu and then give the order to the bill counter where we have to pay then and there. The cooking time isn't too slow, and they serve the food quickly. We then have to collect our food from the various food counters on our own.

In terms of cost, it is a bit on the higher side. I personally felt that the chaats, snacks and other savouries on the first floor were little overpriced, as compared to the sweets on the ground floor. Though some dishes again, were an exception on the pricing.

For the food, in terms of the sweets, they are definitely fresh and tasty! They are pretty hygienic as they are under a glass showcases, and some are stored in neat boxes. Thumbs up for sweets!
In terms of the savouries department, all dishes were good. There is variety, taste and quality in the food. Though some dishes are a bit disappointing, majority of these dishes are great!

We had:

1. Kulfi (4.1/5)- this is a very good refresher for the hot summer. It just cools you down! It is basically Indian flavoured icecream like kesar/pista/badam on a stick.
P.S- It melts pretty fast so just consume it quickly!

2.Chocolate burfi (4.5/5)- this is a treat for all children! Chocolate is written all over this sweet! It has some nuts too inside the burfi. I think there is some chocolate drizzle on top of the burfi too! YUMM...

3. Anjeer burfi (4.3/5)- this is an awesome sweet! It is filled with nuts and it tastes interesting. You get that sharp taste of anjeer (fig) in it!
P.S- not meant for people with loose teeth!

4. Rasgulla (4.7/5)- this tastes amazing! It is very fresh and nice. Pretty soft, juicy and tender! No more words... MUST TRY!

5. Kaju katli (4.5/5)- this is my favorite sweet among all Indian Sweets! This sweet is basically, kaju (cashew nuts) made in the form of a burfi (a bit thinner than a normal burfi), cut into the shape of a diamond (like the one on the cards deck) and topped with an edible silver foil! This sweet isn't overpoweringly sweet, and is easy to chew (not a hard and tough texture). MUST TRY!

6. Samosa chaat (4/5)- just when we thought samosa's were not enough, samosa CHAAT has been introduced! This chaat is pretty good. It has crushed bits of samosa in the form of a chaat! It is very tasty and tangy! GREAT COMBINATION!
Price- โ‚น55 (pricing is an issue)

7. Sev puri (4.4/5)- this a chaat that is loaded with tons of sev (thin, tiny, flaky bits of besan I think). The sev just enhances the flavour in this particular chaat! Upon that, there is the "puri" which is crispy and delicious! On this puri, there are various ingredients added and topped with sev! Though I did feel the texture was a bit dry.
Price- โ‚น55

Overall, my experience in Anand Sweets and Savouries has been awesome!

We were craving some Delhi-style "chaat" and landed up on the 1st floor of Anand Sweets after hearing about it from a few friends. We ordered the paapri chaat, sev puri, onion kulcha and paani puri and overall it was not bad, but the chaat lacked either the masala or the chutney to really hit the spot. The onion Kulcha was decent and so were the pani puri's. We also tried the badaam milk which was good and then the stick kulfi, which also hit the mark! Overall, not a bad option in Koramangla.

As this hotel is just few steps away from my office, I visit this hotel every now and then. In ground floor we get sweets and in 1st floor we get North Indian food. Quality and taste what they offer is exceptional (Both sweets and north Indian food). I have tried almost everything and not even once I have felt that some dish was not good ( Except for chats which have dahi in it. Dahi will be way too sweet and our taste buds will fell only the sweetness of dahi and nothing else ). The parathas here are so so soft and in Paneer gravy, paneer pieces just melts in mouth. Yummy...!!!
When it comes to sweet, as I already told, everything tastes great. But, if you want cold rasmalai, (rasmalai tastes better when it is cold, or at least, thats how I like it) even though those guys tell it is cold, it will be almost room temperature. Apart from it being not cold, it tastes good.
When it comes to pricing, rates are bit on the expensive side. Every dish is at least 30% to 40% above the ordinary hotels, But I feel it is worth paying for this taste.

I had visited anand sweets several no of time before for chats. After it got renovated, this is the first time i went thereto relish only the sweets. I have a really sweet tooth and i can go on eating sweets until my last breath :-D
The shop really huge, clean, brightly lit in tge heart of koramangla. They have a huge variety of sweets, savouries and chats.
As soon as i enetered I saw the mataka rabadi which grabbed all my attention and i ordered it without thinking anything else. And too my surprise it was more than what i expected. Too good.
Next I ordered malai gulla, the big brother of rabadi. And even thia one did not disappoint me. Now time to try some assorted sweets, so i tried dry fruit laddu, aata laddu, kaju katli, motichoor laddu. They were all ok, not worthy of lot of praise for the price.
The last but not the least, it was the ras malai, moong dal halwa and the kesar malai kulfi. Moong dal halwa was perfect, the ghee was floating over it, and was not very sweet. Kulfi, was pretty ok, u can get better kulfis else where. Again not worth for the price of it.
But this is a shop where u would want to visit it, to satisfy your sweet tooth with some nice indian sweets.
Will definitely visit it again to relish the sweets that i couldnt taste this time.

Saw that Anand sweets had a restaurant in top only quite a bit late into the day. But got to say that it was indeed a happy discovery.

The menu is north Indian chaat/dhaba inspired. And works on a self service, coupon system..which is pretty ok, if you are just nicking out of office for a quick lunch.

We ordered chole batura, onion kulcha with dal combo n Bombay sandwich.
Chole batura: nice chole! And curiously fish shaped bature. I have had the famous "cream centre of Chennai-nungambakkam" chole n this could hold a candle to it !!
Onion kulcha.. the kulcha was average, but the dal makhani was just the right amount of creamy n luscious. Luuurvee!!
Bombay sandwich: refreshing n filing at the same time. If you watching your waist line, the overload of mayo, cheese, butter could give you palpitations... But I wasn't, so..yeah!!
Badam milk..meh!
I wish I had the space in my bottomless pit to try their chaats, but I'm gonna keep that aside for the next visit.
Bottom line.. affordable, quick, veg

The food is astonishingly good. Navratri thalis that they serve ย are certainly better than the ones served at Rajdhani and Great Indian Thali, plus it is very economical. I don't know about other days but during Navratri, we had to wait in queue for one hour to get a table. They don't have any reservation policy. Also since it was crowded, it was one hell of a fight to queue up to get your order even. Menial fights were always happening that order number 115 took thali of order number 102. It was depressing to see after having to wait in queue for 1 hour while fasting to get a table. They don't even have a waiting area. People were just queuing up in the staircase to get a table. If not for the waiting and queuing issues, it was a 5/5 place.

This place has been around for ages n we've been visiting from when we were in school, almost 10 years ago. They've maintained great standard from then. Their relatively recent grand redecoration n long standing service is proof of their success. Must visit for a variety of yummy sweets n savouries. Our regular picks have been dhokla, khandvi, kaju katli n samosas. These have tasted awesome n the same as far back as I remember.ย
They've variants in dhokla such as sandwich, fried n paneer.. Very innovative!
The only downside is their Ras malai.. Shocking ha? Its too sweet for my taste n takes some chewing vs the melt in the mouth ras malai from Maiyya's (please do try, or else you're missing out).

Nevertheless Anand is one of the best out there, no compromise on quality whatsoever. They maintain great hygiene too.

This is the closest any bangalore eatery gets to replicating North Indian chaat. While the place is predominantly known for its sweets, the chole bature is what brings me to this joint time and again. If you are a pani puri addict, the version here leaves you wanting cause of the DIY method of eating. We all have to agree, that's no fun. It's the only complete chat restaurant in bangalore where u can expect all kinds of chat and other fast food .

It is much inspired by the sweet shops in Delhi like bhikaji or haldirams off course
the variety is not as much , but ok for bangalore since not many chaat options are available .

Chaats here are good , only thing is I miss is the typical pani puri wala who personally serves the pani puri. Here they are pre packed puris.

The meals are also very good with good north Indian options like chole kulcha, panner makhani, kadhi pakoda , dal etc.

They also serve some continental foods like sizzlers , noodles . Some fast foods like pav bhaji .

The whole place is divided into two parts anand sweets and purani delhi. Purani delhi is a restaurant on level 1 which serves all the food mentioned above .

And the ground floor has anand sweets which has all the sweets, farsan, namkeens and dry fruits .

It has a seperate counter of all the freshly prepared north Indian sweets like gulab jamun, rabdi, and kesar kulfi which is a absolute must try.

So for all those people who miss chaats and north Indian food in bangalore it's a must visit

'All that glitters is not gold'. I would rate this place average at best. The amount they charge for the items is okay considering the premium location and the glittery interiors but something was lacking in the flavor when it comes to chats.

The food is hygienic but if you compare it to the chats served in north India, it falls a tad below expectations. The taste lacked the 'wow' factor. Don't get me wrong, this might be one of the best sweet shops in Bangalore but it's pretty much average if you start comparing it to the amazing chats they serve in the northern region.

My advice - do visit this place but don't go with your expectations soaring through the sky.

Not part of the review but my thoughts about chats -

I hail from Lucknow and I'm still hunting for a decent chat shop in Bangalore which is half as good as it's there. For instance, try Neelkanth Sweets, Chappan Bhog, Royal Cafรฉ, Ritz Continental and Ram Aasrey (a 200 year old shop) there and you'll know what I mean. Some of these are very expensive shops (they also deliver internationally) with great ambience but their chats are superb and I'm not even bringing the awesome street food in the picture.

Cons : They keep drinking water in uncovered plastic glasses which is very unhygienic and inappropriate for such a fine place, Long waiting on weekends
Recommend : Moti choor laddu, Chhole bhature, Tandoori Sizzlers@

Loved the place..... it is more than just your regular sweet store.... first and fore most very elegant and appealing.... while entering you dont feel you are entering a sweet shop but a lobby of a good hotel.... loads of variety from many parts of the country and not necessarily only sweets famous from this part of the region.... very neat, clean ...... you can eaisly look around, taste the sweets without feeling overwhelmed with people around you.... then on the first floor there is a nice small eatry .... chats, chole bature, gol gappe, veg. meals and thalis, rajma chawal etc..... once again tasty food, good service, live counters and very hygenic..... was it expensive, nope... though the sweets are..... i have still not tasted the sweets but going by what i had in the eatry and word of mount publicity of the place... i am sure this is one place for all sweet tooth people.... location too is not a problem... very much in the middle of koramangala market.... prime place....

Sunday evening snacks. A small sit down on the first floor. Only had the chaats and they were all uniformly good; if anything they were too uniform with some of them tasting quite similar to the other...probably because of the use of the same chole on a number of the dishes. Overall a good, clean and friendly place...

We landed there cos we had to buy sweets obviously and given that it was dinner time decided to go upstairs and grab something to eat. I absolutely love North Indian food and there were meal combos as well as economy meals available.
I took curry pakoda with rice but my major turn off was the amount of ghee.I personally am not a fan of ghee so I didn't enjoy that much.Rice was perfect so was the boondi wala raitha. If ghee isn't a qualm, you will love the food.
Also ordered papdi chaat and once more I didn't feel happy after eating it. Ive enjoyed roadside chaats more.
All in all its a good ambiance and i just wish that food had been spot on and I would have been a regular.

Brilliant Variety in sweets!

POSITIVES -
+ Huge Variety in sweets
+ Elegant Decor

NEGATIVES
- Lunch, Dinner and Chaats aren't as great as the sweets and snacks

MUST TRY -
* Rasmalai

Anand Sweets is truly one of the best Sweets Shop in Bangalore! The Koramangala outlet has two floors including the ground floor. The Ground floor is where you get all the Sweets and Small Snacks, and the first floor is where you get all the chaat and lunch/dinner. The outlet is very well made and looks elegant, classy and well lit. A sudden glance at the store from the outside makes it look almost like a nice jewellery store!

The range and variety of sweets they have is truly jaw-dropping. Everything in the sweets section is worth a try. They also have special sweets that keep changing from time to time. One of my favourites here is their heavenly rasmalai! They are incredibly soft and juicy. The 'ras' (flavoured, thickened milk) of the rasmalai is class apart as it has the perfect consistency and great flavour. You will get sweets from all corners of India here. Bengali, Rajasthani, Lucknowi, Kannadiga and Maharashtrian sweets form majority of the variety. The snacks here like their samosas and puffs are definitely worth a try too. The sweets section has a decor which makes you feel like you're in a royal sweets shop!

The food available on the first floor isn't too good however. They serve a wide variety of pure vegetarian dishes including chaats, north Indian, south Indian. The food served here is only average and not too great. I also feel it's a tad overpriced for the quality.

The ground floor and the first floor of Anand Sweets and Savouries are in contrast where in the ground floor serves the most amazing sweets but the first floor restaurant serves very average quality food. I would've given a higher rating, had the food on the first floor been a little better in both taste and quality.

Anand Sweets has always been one of my favorite places for its sweets in Bangalore. It is probably one of the places where I like the Rasmalai best. Soft, tender and 'ras mein ghula hua' as often said in Hindi.
But this time when I came over here, it was for a dinner that I had promised a couple of friends.
Not everything on the menu might be mind boggling, but they have their specialties. Among them the first to top the list is the dhokla, which, can be described in one word that describes it best - soft.ย
I had never tried missi roti before, so took a shot at it. It was a taste-changer, definitely, but was a bit spicy for my liking.
The chaats on the other hand were just the best. For any place around Bangalore, they definitely have the best chaats. None beats the other, but they beat everything else around. They are worth the price. Though, I am a bit skeptical if I can say the same about the Dal and Chawal.

I will definitely come back here for the chaats and the dhoklas and maybe the pav bhaji!

There are quite a few sweet shops in Bangalore but then I guess Anand has established itself as being one of the best. Apart from the sweets, they seem to have brought up a wonderful concept of having a restaurant. I think its a good idea coz if a place can specialise in making sweets, which requires intricate mix of ingredients including - sugar/jaggery, nuts, choco and many more items.
Well, they seemed to have achieved in coming up with a decent enough restaurant.

This place is situated on the same lane where you find โ€˜Krishna Cafeโ€™, โ€˜Junior Kuppannaโ€™ in Koramangala. Infact, its the building next to the Malabar Cafe & Krishna cafe. The restaurant section is in the first floor and they have pretty strict timelines. I guess 1 is coz they donโ€™t expect many to come after 10.30pm. But also coz the area kind of become empty after 10.30-45pm.

I went there first when it was almost about to close. The person at the counter told that it was a self-service as i thought they might take order at the table. He also told me that the order would be the last and there would no more orders taken.
Couple of things I wanted to as I was hungry included - Channa Batura, Aloo Parantha, Chat Mix and Badam Milk.

Channa Batura was pretty good as the channa was properly boiled. The Batura also was decent coz it did not have too much oil. Overall was good taste being served with pickle, cut onions and cucumber. I think its a good bet to have North Indian food here.

Then came the turn for the โ€˜Aloo Paranthaโ€™. Not that it made a feel awesome after eating, was okay okay kinda and quite normal in the taste. But they gave good quantity of mix-veg raita.

I seem to have forgotten to mention about โ€˜Chat Mixโ€™, which seemed to be quite tasty to take. As it had all the chat items mixed and was of good taste. Infact, reminded me of the BSK centre where in chat was equally good.

Couple of things I observed - the person taking the token over the counter was not ready to help out with some lemon pieces. It was the manager who intervened and asked the other cook to cut lemon and give it.

The badam milk was something better than the one in BSK 2nd stage. As it had more sweetness and flavour.
Another thing about the restaurant I feel is that it somehow lacks the crowd.ย

Overall I would rate this place at around 3.5. Few things like โ€˜cleanliness of bathroomโ€™, โ€˜waitersโ€™ , presentation would be key going forward. ย

Food for 2 would usually cost nearly Rs.350-500.
Other ratings include -
Food - 3.5/5
Service - 3.5/5
Drinks - 3.5/5
Ambience - 3.0

When we moved to Bangalore, I was little upset as I am a hardcore Delhite with my love for chaats and north Indian food.

But then my brother told me about this place which was recommended by all for all North Indian style sweets and savouries...

Oh it was my savior!

The place is somewhat based on the concept of famous Haldiram's from Delhi, which sell sweets on one floor and the food on the other.

I love their sweets Rasgulla, Kalakand (my friend's fav), Gujiya, Kaju katli and my personal fav. Ras malai... super yummm

They prepare the best chaats in town with very near to the authentic flavours. We have tried

Bhalla papdi

Papdi chaat

Golguppe (suji)

Allu tikki

Samosa

Dhokla
I have never been disappointed by any of the these chaats,,, I love their Bhalle papdi chaat and dhokla :)

For the food, we have tried

North Indian thali

Chole bhature

Pav bhaji

Navratra thali (Yes they serve one with kuttu atta puris and sabudana papad - Yayyy)
Paneer makhni
I love their thali, it has one paneer, one veg gravy and a dal with naan/parantha... love the preparation!
The only thing little disappointing are chole bhature... I don't like their chole preparation.
Yes they serve Navratra food there.. thali, allu chaats, etc... finally I found a good place who comes to my rescue during Navratra fasts :)
I will recommend this place for all... sweets, chaats and North Indian style food...

Lovely place!!!

The Gujarati in me was delighted with this place. I went here with my wife and we loved the variety of sweets.

What worked for us:
> Variety of sweets
> Taste and quality
> Farsans i.e. the savory dishes
> Bengali sweets

What I did not like was the fresh paneer. It could have been sooo much better, but I guess NCR / North India has spoilt me :)

A must go for all your Indian sweet cravings.

Just went there last week for fresh paneer! The paneer was soft, good and cooked well.

BUT what have you guys done with the ambiance? The tacky chandeliers - it looks like a cheap jewellery shop in a Tier 3 Town.

Looking at the place in koramangala i guess there is lot of money in the sweet business. The sweets here are very authentic and tastes very good. The pista roll is particular is amazing they also have a wide range of sweets covering almost everything which you can think of :) the prices are a bit on the higher side but the quality is simply amazing never had any complaints on that front.

They also have snacks and food counter in the first floor. I have been a regular visitor of this place the chole bhathure is something to die for its not too oily and the chole is amazing.

MULLAH : A chole bathure costs you around 120 bucks so i must say its on the pricy side.

Thali at sweets and savouries wasn't anticipated. It dint rise upto the expectations either. Roti and naan with 2 curries (paneer and aloo gobi) lacked the taste or the tingle. The roti and the papad were half cooked and raw. Jamoon lived upto is reputation of the name-soft and juicy, with the right crisp coat and uniform colour. Their sweets are absolutely mouth watering and I see no season or reason to try them and recommend too. Have tried few of their barfies, pedas, laddoo none will disappoint you. An absolutely unplanned trip to Anand sweets turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I wasn't even aware that they had a full-fledged restaurant in the first floor. Was very very impressed with the food, mouth watering dishes that tasted great! I'd highly recommend this place to friends and family and being vegetarian this is a great option. Went with family and had ordered a few chat items, some north indian snacks and main course and 2 thalis. All the dishes were top class and we weren't disappointed. Only one suggestion for improvement is their billing system. We can't order and pay later, we got to stand in a queue (sometimes its not a queue, it's whose hand is the longest that can reach the counter) and tell them the items and get a bill and take that to the food ordering section. Then one person has to get water for the table, etc. If the team can fix this, it'll be awesome!

1.Sweets are the best not only in Bangalore but probably among the best in India
2.Rasmalai...Gulabjamun...kaju katli is uncomparable.
3.Now the bigger restaurent has all thali and fast food which is too good
Go and order anything and im sure it will be the best in the market.

I had tried Anand sweets's North Indian food (thali and others) (first floor) 2 times till now and it had been great experience till now.
The sabji and roti etc are far better than many of the north-indian restaurants giving the same in double or triple the costs.
North Indian Thali is the best part of the menu, lassi is also good.
Overall a good experience there.
Sweets wise, on the ground floor, I have no words, its the best sweet shop in bangalore, no doubt about it.

I was born with a sweet tooth and this 'condition' takes me to all the places that can satisfy my pellet. Anand Sweets is one of the finest sweet shops in the town and serves a wide range of sweets which are not just limited to South India. Whenever I visited Koramangala, a stop-over at Anand Sweets was a must. You have the North Indian laddus & malpuas, West Bengal's Rasogolla, South India's Mysore Pak and much more. The Kulfi and Rasmalai are to die for!

I never tried the restaurant which is on the first floor but heard it's decent. The prices are a slightly high but then what is cheap in Bangalore? Also, given the taste of sweets it's worth it!

If you have the time and hankering for genuinely good chaat and North India street food in Koramangala then look no further.

I am relatively new to this outlet having gone a million times to their outlet in Comm Street which is quite limited in terms of choice or indeed a place to sit! I wish I had known about this outlet earlier. Good variety, Great food and decent prices (its certainly not as cheap as your road side thela however)

Yes, yes I know when you see the place especially the upstairs restaurant its far, far away from the road side experience but you just need to order your favorite chaat and you will stop complaining. Hey, a little luxury never killed anyone.

Be here once and you will come back again!

This is usually a place I overlooked, aside from picking up the occasional sweets for Diwali and pujas. Last week when we happened to go to the GK Vale next door from Anand Sweets, and being told that the prints would take an hour, we decided to walk around and spend time idly around the place. Of course the sweet shop was the very first visit. The first thing that strikes you about the shop is how bright and clean it is! Someone compared in the reviews to a jewelry shop, I see where they are coming from. Not letting myself be dazzled by the brightness or the vast options, I walked around deciding slowly what I wanted to try that day. The easy choices were samosa and plain dhokla. The dhoklas were fresh and juicy, perfect to taste and I loved it with the sweet and spicy chutney. The samosa was okay and I would just say I've had better in other outlets. They also had paneer dhoklas and various pakodas available.

Tempted by the huge display of sweets, we went about trying a few here and there, like the chocolate burfi, chum chum, laddoo etc. Well of course, we all buy sweets from here, and they are great. They also had a good collection of mixtures (chakhna) priced about 400 per kg. This was one of the rare times that I actually didn't have chat here after all the sweets, but that's also a specialty here. A good place to hang, they should probably arrange for more seats and tables.

This is a great place for North Indian food. You will feel like eating in Chandni Chowk of Delhi !. Be it their chhole bhature or dahi bhalla or Thali, everything is tasty and enjoyable. They even have some continental stuff like Pizza/Sizzler but they are avoidable. They have interesting sweets also and I always get Diwali/Holi sweets from them. Their kulfi is also good.

But I feel that they are very high on Ghee/Oil they use in all their preparation. I sometimes feel bit uneasy in stomach after their food. But it could be also that I am eating more after going there!!

In short, Anand is any time good choice.

I was in Bangalore for 2 days and due to shortage of time I could dine in only at two places. One of them was this outlet of Anand Sweets and Savouries. The place has been nicely made. Both the ground and the first floor of the place has very nice interiors, especially the ground floor. Well, I had not expected good North Indian food in Bangalore, but this place offers some really good North Indian food. The preparation is pretty quick here and the service here is self service.
Coming to the food, had Rajmah Chawal, Thali, Gol Gappas and tikki here. All of that was good and it never felt like you are having North Indian food in South India. The desserts Ras malai and Kulfi were nice but the kulfi is not worth the money you spend. Their popular sweets are good to the taste buds(as of what I heard from a local person there), but are highly expensive( I didn't try them but yes they are pricey).
Overall, a good place to dine in.

Best sweet shop in town. The sweets are too good. U can't have enough of them. The mysore pak has too much sugar though. Try the garam garam gulabjamun, rasmalai, and the rasgulla. Plus special mention for the 'Big' kulfi. Must try.

U could also go upstairs for some serious dining. The chaats are awesome. U can try the lassi.. The malai which comes in ur mouth is awesome. Take the seat near the window. The view below while eating is quite good. The chole bhature was also yum.
In short, a must visit for sweet fanatics. Definitely recommended.

Going upstairs, the chaats and snacks are quite good and the burger is so sinful you'll keep punishing your body for the rest of the week. You can give their thali a miss if you're not a fan of oily curries. Prices are quite ok but have gone up since they fancified the place a bit. But all-in-all, thumbs up.

Definitely worth a visit place in the heart of Koramangala which just pleases your senses. Anand Sweets is a massive structure near the GK Vale Shop. On the ground floor they serve mithai's and dry snacks while the first floor is a seating area to eat some chat and north Indian food.
I have been here quite a few times and always loved the food. In the chat place, I have had Raj Kachori, Dahi Bhalla, Pani Puri, and a Paneer Tikka - all awesome. There is nothing on complain on this front. They make the food just as you want it and it looks very clean and hygienic. Its a bit pricey, but then you do have to pay for good food.
My only grumble is with the serving staff downstairs. Either there are not enough staff or they are always busy talking to each other. Be prepared to wait for at least 15 -20 minutes to get anything from the counter. We love the kulfi and the chenna payasam is amazing. In the dry mithai's, kaju katli is great and recently we had mango katli which was fantastic.
We also like the dhoklas and khandvis and usually end up buying some. We had a samosa once, but didn't like it that much. Tasted too much of ghee for my liking.
A great place for sweets, but be prepared to wait while the servers take their own time doing stuff. There is also no concept of a queue and the servers are not taught to take orders as people come. So it ends up that people with loud voices end up pushing you aside and ordering ahead of you, despite the fact that you have been waiting longer. Maybe its just something I am not comfortable with, but it would be nice if they had some sort of a token system or something where people are served one at a time.
A good place for chat and sweets, but be ready to push everyone else aside if you want to take some sweets home.

In one of the busiest lanes in Koramangala 5th Block stands with all its might this extravagant Sweet and Savories shop.
Anand sweets is a legion and hence having "Sweet Teeth" like Colonel Points out.I walked right in.

To be more precise with the location , Opposite Canara Bank there exists a lane that extends from Titan Eye + showroom to the Textile shop and Hand loom shop in the other end.Anand Sweets and Savories is right in the middle. There is no way one will miss it for it has 3 floors.

Ground floor for the hungry souls who are in the mood for some snacks and sweets ,to munch and brisk away chomping their savories.
First for those who would stick around a tad longer and the second for those who fancy to dine.

Me belonging to Category . Yes you guessed it right, Category 1 was glued to the counter like a gloworm is to lights.
There were so many options to choose from .Gold help those who thought it was easy to walk in and choose in a minutes time.
I ordered for a Kaju Burfi (Kaju Katli) my all time favourite, A rasmalai. What is a Mithai supposed to do? It is supposed to make you happy like any other dessert . That is exactly what these did to me.

Eying a lot of people slurping away with their kulfis . I just could not resist and asked for a Kesar Kulfi.
Though it does not come close to the kulfis I have had from Sweet vendors at Jaipur. It definitely is delicious.

How much did this all total up to ? A 110 RS . Sounds costly ? But I assure you that the sweets are worth it !

Suggestion:I did not have the apetite for it. Every single person I spotted took away "A Kesar Pista Badam Milk" .
Definitely looks like it is worth a try :)

Best chaats I have had in Bangalore so far. Everything they serve here is top-notch. This place is located in a lane that is full of great eateries, but still manages to be jam-packed during the evening due to their authentic north Indian flavors.

What I love here are the cholle bhature, tikki, tokri chaat and dhokla. You can just keep on eating here.
Also the sweets here are good. I have tried their kulfi, and it is very nice. A little bit more frozen than I would have liked, but then you can always wait sometime for something that good.

Each and everything better and better than the previous one's. This is the only place I have come out satisfied with the ALL the INDIAN SWEETS.
Here at koramangala the furnishings, designing and decor of sweet stall is delightful. Goshh !! So classy and attractive. Interior Designs are too bright and compliment for a sweet stall.

Really best to try out sweets, Rasmalai and laddu my personal favorite here. All the kaju made sweets with different shapes combined with other dry fruits are really mouth-watering. Oher places are just matchless wihen compared to Anand. They have a special place in my list that is favorites for INDIAN SWEETS.

They are a little costly and over priced when compared to other sweet stalls in general.
But its worth and deserving. Please do try this place ..... Strongly recommended !!

Growing up in Bangalore, you know Anand Sweets as a landmark in commercial street - a place you often stopped at for a snack or a badam milk while shopping. When you find an Anand sweets outlet close to where you've shifted, life gets better!

Next to GK Vale on 60 Feet road in Koramangala, stands Anand Sweets. You can't quite miss it, given the huge chandelier lighting on the ground floor, almost like the lights and furnishing stores you actually go in to buy these fancy light fittings! The ground floor is the sweets and savouries section, first floor is casual dining and the top floor is fine dining. Never felt the need to visit the top floor, since the menu is so street food like, it's worked just fine for me to eat in the hustle and bustle of floor one. On weekends, be prepared to get your name written and wait for a table which you might end up sharing as well.

The pani puris and other chaats are indeed very good, but the Parathas are very well made as well. A great fill yourself option. The thali too is very value for money and has a little bit of everything in it.

However on most visits, I'm mostly packing sweets and savouries from the place. The reasons I have found, why the place is a hit to me are three - the khara boondi, the paneer and the kulfi! And these have nothing to do with the dining section.

The khara boondi is absolutely the best boondi I've found around the place for a boondi raita. Perfectly flavoured, crisp and makes the raita taste fabulous when you use it.

The paneer is another special, it is by far, the softest paneer I have found till date in Bangalore. Fresh and perfect for those lovely creamy gravies you are cooking up at home.

The kulfi - I can probably eat one while ordering for my parcelled sweets and one while billing! Extremely tasty stick kulfi, with real dry fruits and flavours packed. A little steep in price, but those who love it, have no option really :-)

The other sweets also are delightful and the perfect place to pick up stuff to gift family and friends. They also do some fancy packing and boxes if you need any and Anand in fact packed all of my wedding fanfare sweets - you can be rest assured there was noone complaining later :-)

Anand is your safe option for mithais, namkeens and has a little bit extra on the side to offer in their paneer and kulfi. A place you'll never walk out of disappointed!

Someone at my wife's office suggested that one of the better places for the chaat family of preparations is Anand in Koramangala. So one evening when the two of us were felling in the mood for some chaat in life, we made our way to this particular joint. As we approached this place, the thing that struck us was the fact that this 'restaurant' is located on a street that is dotted with a plethora of other restaurants with multiple cuisines on offer. Making a mental note to ourselves of coming back to this street again in future, we made it to Anand.

With a sweets shop on the ground floor and a restaurant serving snacks of all kinds and even some regular lunch/dinner affair on the first floor, the resemblance to Bikanerwala (in most cities in the North) is uncanny. Another observation that you make as soon as you enter the ground floor is that the place is brilliantly lit (almost competing with jewelry stores) with a bunch of exorbitant chandeliers on display. We made our way to the first floor where spicy tangy chaats awaited us.

Looking at the menu, we wanted to try everything but were also aware that no matter how potent our appetite, that would be an impossible task. Yet we made the best effort possible. We ordered a Puchka chaat (never tried that before), pav bhaji, tandoori stuffed aloo and grilled vegetable sandwich along with a kesar pista badam lassi. The first thing that came on the self service counter was the lassi and made an instant impression. A thick concoction with loads of flavor and malai. Next to arrive was the Puchka chaat which was basically a version of the dahi batata poori that you get in Mumbai. Scoring low on innovation, the chaat scored high on taste and tang. The tandoori aloo which came next were quite likeable. The two other dishes of the evening were a bit of a let down though.

The pav bhaji was weak on two accounts. One, the pav. Somehow no one outside of Mumbai and Goa seem to get the pav right and I fail t understand why. The pav here too was sweetish and had almost a cake like softness which leads to disaster when you try to pan fry it with lot of butter. It just turns out to be sticky. The other falling of the pav bhaji was the bhaji which was too pasty in its texture as if instead of mashing the vegetables, some one had run them in a mixer. The sandwich though is called vegetable grill, should be rechristened as vegetable cheese grill with extra cheese. The grilling was nice leaving the bread crisp in every bite but the ridiculous amounts of cheese in it was just not right.

On our way out we tried the kulfi from the ground floor. The balance of flavors (the pista, the kesar and the sweetness) was beautifully miantained. The only flaw in the kulfi was that it was frozen to a point where it was less of a kulfi and more of an ice candy. One of the things that I love about a good kulfi is the fact that within a few minutes of it being taken out of refrigeration, it starts to melt slightly (giving its surface a shining gleam) and allowing you to slurp away adding to the pleasure of eating a malai kulfi. That just did not happen here.

The prices are very reasonable. Overall, I rate Anand to be a great place if you are keen on the chaats but for the rest of the stuff it is only moderately good.

It's the only place that comes to mind if you're looking for authentic Delhi chaats/sweets in Bangalore.

The ambience is above average considering it's supposed to be primarily a sweets shop. The place is clean, hygienic and well maintained. You can order the sweets and a few dishes on the ground floor counter, but the service section on the first floor is definitely a better option for a relaxed experience.

The service is nothing much to talk about though, just basic.

The fare is absolutely lip smacking delicious. The Bhel poori, papdi chaat and the Lachha tokri are my absolute favourites from the chaat menu. From their specialty desserts we've had the Rasmalai and Kulfi Falooda, both are totally divine. We've also tried the Rajma chawal and of course their special Thaali, both of which are good.

The dish we've had most often here is Cholley Bhaturey, surely the best I've had in Bangalore. Do not miss it.

Last but not the least, their signature sweetmeats(north Indian mithais) are the best I've had in Bangalore, both in terms of quality as well as taste.

Though you can't call it cheap, but it is surely totally worth it!

My whole hearted recommendation for "Dilli food/ mithai" lovers.

P.S. - It's worth mentioning specially for all ladies who observe the Karva Chauth fast, that this was the Only place I could find which had a "Karva Chauth thaali" available - which had all the required pooja stuff prepackaged, which otherwise is quite a hassle to source from multiple places.

This place has food for all times of the day.

Ground floor serves snack items such as Puffs, Rolls, Eggless Pastries, Pizza Bun, etc and sweet dishes. There's no place to sit here, just a couple of tables for a quick hunger fix.
The upstairs is the proper restaurant with proper seating.

Coming to the Food:
All the chaats here are worth trying. Special mention to their Sizzling Tandoor Platter. Almost every table had ordered one and they had vegetables ranging from Mushrooms, to super soft Paneer, to Karela, to Potatos. All with a wonderful smoky flavour. Really good. We also had the Chhole Bhature but since my grandmum doesn't eat garlic, we asked them to put the Chhole from the Chaat. A good decision. It tasted good with no extra dripping oil. Kesar Pista Badam Milk is made well. Overall, I haven't come across any dish that was bad.

Value For Money:
It may seem a little expensive at first, but their portions are quite generous. Example, Dal Makhani was for Rs.100. But it can feed two people easily. They also have economy meals and thalis.

Self service. Food comes quick.

Word of Caution: Be prepared to wait a little if you are going here on a weekend evening and they serve only vegetarian food.

I used to be a regular customer here until they renovated 2 years ago. Have always loved their sweets and North Indian food they offer. Badam halwa, rasmalai, gulab jamun and most of their kaju based sweets are amazing. They have mouth watering chaats and i recommend raj kachori, aloo tikki, and dahi papdi. The pav bhaji is also a specialty here, they make it in front of you and tastes delicious. They also serve the chola bature and the chole is made the authentic way using the black channa. We always end our meal with the paani puris. Initially there was a separate counter for it and a guy served us in the way paani puris are meant to be eaten, but now they give everything in a plate.
When I recently visited, they have changed the entire place and i quite liked the way the it has been done up, but the prices have gone up exuberantly!! Ordered for a bhel puri, Pav bhaji and paani puri, fortunately everything tasted good. Miss the old Anand!!

5 Stars thats right when you wanna eat hardcore Delhi chats..
The best in town they offer at pocket friendly prices.

The decor of the restaurant has photographs of the leading chains of delhi chaats and it gives a fresh feeling to the whole place.

In Chaats
Raj Kachori is my fav.
Next rolls to the Lacha Tokri.

If you love Suji ke Gol Gappe and you have a craving for it then just hop onto this place you are gonna love it.

Their Cholle Bhature is also great..
Tandoori Paranthas are fresh and very tasty when served with Curd and Daal.

A good part of this place is that even if you fall short of Dahi/Chutney they offer you that in ample quantity separately.

The place has taken adequate measures to ensure you are satisfied with the food quality. The kitchen is live and open so it maintains a clean atmosphere.
This place has ample seating space but expect rush after 6:30 in the evening.

It is the only place in Bangalore you can get good street food Chhola Bhatura, Rajkachori, Pav Bhaaji..u get the wind...
Been there a lot of times and have never been disappointed...
Though a little overpriced but the food is worth every rupee...
The Lassi is fabulous and lip smacking..

And Dont forget the Sweets they are fabulous...

I say it goes high in my books..

The service provided by the salon is very good. They take good care of your needs and try their best in making the customer happy. However the entrance and reception area needs to be renovated, so that it gives a good first impression.
