The Karnataka High Court is the highest court of the Indian state of the same name. The Supreme Court is a neoclassical building with a red color scheme inspired by the national flag of Karnataka.

The vibrant red colour and beautiful architecture makes the High Court building truly admirable. You can see the High Court from both the front side (Vidhan Soudha side) and the back side (Cubbon Park side). The lawns inside the High Court complex are well maintained. You can see some staff who have access to the complex using the space for morning walks or jogs. Lovely place to spend time early morning.

On the green, sprawling lawns of Cubbon Park is the Attara Kacheri, which is the home of the High Court of Karnataka. It is in the heart of the City of Bangalore, opposite Vidhana Soudha, which houses the State Legislature, and the Secretariat.

The High Court of Karnataka, located in Bengaluru, holds a pivotal role in the Indian judicial system. Having had the opportunity to observe and engage with the court proceedings, I present a comprehensive review based on various aspects. The physical infrastructure of the High Court of Karnataka is impressive. The courtrooms are well-maintained, providing a dignified atmosphere conducive to legal proceedings. The facilities for litigants, lawyers, and other stakeholders seem to be appropriately equipped, contributing to the overall efficiency of the court. The efficiency and effectiveness of judicial proceedings are vital in any legal system. The High Court of Karnataka has demonstrated a commitment to timely and fair justice. The judges appear knowledgeable and well-prepared, ensuring a thorough understanding of the cases before them. The court's adherence to legal procedures and protocols is commendable. In the age of digitalization, the integration of technology in court processes is crucial. The High Court of Karnataka seems to be making strides in this direction, utilizing technology to streamline administrative tasks and provide better accessibility to case information. The implementation of e-filing systems and online case tracking enhances the overall efficiency of the court. Accessibility and transparency are fundamental principles for any judicial institution. The High Court of Karnataka has made efforts to ensure accessibility to justice for all. The information regarding case status, court orders, and judgments is reasonably accessible to the public. However, continuous efforts to enhance transparency could further strengthen public trust in the institution.

The high courts of India are the highest courts of appellate jurisdiction in each state and union territory of India. However, a high court exercises its original civil and criminal jurisdiction only if the subordinate courts are not authorized by law to try such matters for lack of pecuniary, territorial jurisdiction.

Really well maintained structure, despite it's age. The canteen food is also very clean and reasonable price. Few places they have ignored, such as lawyer's locker places. Could improve it. My time while visiting with my mentor was really nice.

It is located in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka. The High Court building is located close to Cubbon Park and can be seen when visiting Cubbon Park. Tourists are not allowed to enter but may take pictures in front of this building. This court is a majestical monument with a great grand construction. It gave me goosebumps when I saw it. Present in the calm and cool place and highly maintained. This requires attention for taking care of this place just like how it is taken care of now. It is just opposite to Vidhan Sauda. Both Vidhan sauda (in Pure white) and High Court (in Red/Orange) colour are grand structure. one can see these from outside.

History: The history of the Karnataka High Court can be traced back to the year 1884, under the reign of the Maharaja of Mysore Chamarajendra Wadiyar, when the Chief Court of Mysore was reconstituted with three judges and was designated as the highest court of appeal in the princely State of Mysore. Earlier The Court of the Chief Judge, Mysore, was set up in 1880 along with three other courts - the Court of District judges, the Bangalore Court of Small Causes and subordinate and Munsiff courts. The Bangalore Small Causes Court was abolished in 1881. In 1930, it was renamed as the High Court of Mysore and the Chief Judge was given the new name of Chief Justice. In 1973, it got its present name of "Karnataka High Court".
