Not a place for vegetarians ......very few veg in menu .
........price Is slightly higher ..service is good , need to improve with their quality
Good food. Average ambience. The quantity of food is fulfilling and the food is also tasty. Day speciality was bengali fishes and it was delicious.
It's a small restaurant nothing much to say about the ambience, it's your normal Andhra mess or canteen with a classy twist with wooden seating and tables. Food was nothing outta the ordinary. We ordered for nelore pepper chicken, kadhai chicken, butter kulcha and Punjabi biryani. It's a decent place for a rare getaway from the usual mess canteen food for workers around that area. There's an open space seating for people who prefer smoking as well.
Verenyam is a traditional Andhra style restaurant located beside cafe coffee day and above Pizza Hut in Electronic City phase 1.
This place has a simple furniture with antique tables and photo frames. There is a open lounge seating which is always busy. The menu comprises of good veg and non-veg dishes. They kept the dishes names with all Andhra local names like Naidu gari chicken biriyani, reddy gari palov. We tried sambar rice which was yummy. And also we tried egg biriyani..and Roti with veg mixed curry. They have to improve their service speed and also to keep one more wash basin to hand wash. They will be a long queue for hand wash as they kept only one wash basin.

I was expecting the food here to follow in the old Southern tradition but was pleased to find the menus trending in a contemporary direction with emphasis on lean, fresh and organic fare while still keeping with Low Country/Southern convention. I have been here with my family many times and liked every food I had here. In fact, which are positively unmatched for flavor
The chef and his staff are staunch advocates of the farm fresh-to-table concept. You should try table in balcony which gives a road view. Apt place to dine in.
A delightful place with good seating capacity and an awesome rooftop at this side of the city. Good food and very quick service!A place to visit when you have ample time and would like to spend some time chit chatting sitting on roof top and enjoying the Hookah! you get amazing food here. Mutton Biryani is tender and tastes great! Fish Chilly and Matka Biryani is also a MUST TRY! Overall Great food and Great Service. posting some roof top pics.
We discovered this place in search of a good place for traditional Andhra food. And we are seriously lucky to find this place. Food is really really awesome, like every bite will make you mesmerized, that too with good quantity.
We ordered starters Guntur chicken,Rummy chicken, and chilly paneer and I tell you we were tempted to try all the items in the menu.Again we ordered Amaravati biriyani and matka biriyani for which we don't have words to say..Matka biriyani is really awesome and pure Andhra authentic..
About the service, you won't find a space for a single complain.Best thing is Owners will be there all the time and they personally taking care of customers needs.
And place, I would say best use of the area, peaceful and it gives a feel of being to grandmaa's place.A nice relaxing place specially rooftop with cool breeze.
Must visit restaurant.
Next to office. We visit this place very often. Food menu is good. Keema kichri is nice. Biryani is also good. Dosa is not available during lunch. Service and food are good and pocket friendly. Can be visited regularly.
Such a good ambience and good service. Only some non-veg food was over salted and South Indian Veg Meals was really delicious. Hotel was not good enough to handle more number of customers at once.
The place has got some homely ambience. Varneyam has some Andra local house menu items like reddy Gari Karam rice.
The dosa and other tiffins at are not available through the day.
The filter coffee here is very good and was worth going. The service is very late. But a good place to hangout as there isnt more crowd.
The first thing you see when you enter is the ambience and you are totally floored ! Its huge, spacious, & the furniture + cutlery is the highlight. The table chair are exotic wooden and looks premium.
Meals are sumptuous and really good. A la carte is average. Service is albeit slow. Biryani could have been better (for better biryani go to hyderabadi spice very close). In all, ambience scores over food here.
This place is near Phase 1 coffee day. The food here is okie okie kind. The food we ordered were delivered late, anyways not complaining as we were in a group and spending quality time. The food delivered was hot, the taste was just okie. The so called spicy Reddy kaaram rice was not at all spicy. The ambience is gud but they mix group so they need to get that sorted. Otherwise once in a while this place should be ok.
The first day when I came here, I knew I would be a frequent visitor here. This place portrays and stands by its name...the warm hospitality of the waiters and welcoming entrance makes you feel at home. The furniture and vibrance of walls makes it a homely place to sit back and relax. To top it all, the food is damn delicious, aptly cooked as perceived, and fairly priced. It already is giving a tough time to nearby restaurants and turning a more preferred choice for the office foodies of Hewlett Packard, Genpact and STPI companies which are nearby. Do try to have the chilli pepper chicken in starters which was amazing to taste. And if you get to manage the tables which are placed in the balcony, it's the best as it gives a street view as well as the palm leaves in front making it even more lively.
Went to this place for Lunch with my team mates as it was
very close to our office.1st floor next to Pizza Hut.
Ambience - Good – Add On - Type of furniture used.
Staff - Friendly
Food – Good (Little Spicy)
Budget – Average
Serve Time – 10-15 mins
Taste wise its good, everyone liked it.
Serves 2 ppl (Ala-Carte Dish)
Overall – Everyone enjoyed the Lunch – Good Food – Nice
Ambience – Friendly Staff
I suggest this place as you have lot of options to try on.
This is one of the best place in e city..As a foodie, I am a little skeptic about food. However, this place never disappointed with its authentic taste of food, and pleasant ambience. They have a Hookah bar at the roof top which gets very kinky (in a good way)in the evening. Good place to hangout. Cost of the cuisine is preety low when you compare it with its competitors. Go there and experience it. It's worth your every penny.
PS: They might surprise you next month. Stay connected to get the update.
There is some experience which can't be expressed in words, Varenyam is one of that.
Food Awesome, Ambience more than what we could think of and Staff more than our expectations..You are going to love every part of it...
Went to this place today for lunch. Located very strategically above pizza hut in electronic city phase 1. Was sceptical in the beginning but the overall experience was quite good. Wooden tables, square plates were a novelty. Ordered an Amravati biryani. Nice portion for one person. Good flavourful rice and fresh chicken.. perfect for a weekday lunch. Not very oily and usage of artificial colour was minimal. Would really like to come back here again.
The location to this place on Zomato is stated incorrect, so it took us a couple of other thoughts to finally find it in.
Been here for lunch with a couple of friends.
It was a really hot afternoon, so the ambience of this place owing to its wooden and authentic homely atmosphere didn't quite excite us.
There was the Ugadi special menu with pickle and sweets topping their speciality. We were offered the mango-in-jaggery kinda sweet. It was tangy and sour and jammed well with the sweetness of the jaggery.
For lunch we had the Panneer chilli as the starter. It was really nice I'm terms of its cook and taste. Loved it :)
The main course had the kadai panneer and dal tadka with phulkas. Both the dishes were delicious and served well in terms of quantity.
We had happy helpings :)
The phulkas were over priced I feel :/
Service was really great as we were spoken to and hosted well. They even asked to try the chocolate pudding which was the speciality of the day.
Looking forward to another visit soon :)
P.S We spent 560 on a meal for 3. Highly recommended by me :)
Been here with friends. The Google maps from this app shows wrong location, follow the address given in description (hope it's fixed soon). We were welcomed with Ugadi special - a cup with chopped raw mango in jaggery syrup - super sour and sweet. We ordered paneer chilli for starter and phulkas with paneer kadai and dal tadka for main course. The starter served hot tasted great with soft chunks of paneer, lots of onions n capsicum. Phulkas were warm and non oiled (healthy). Kadai paneer made of well blended masala had the kadai taste, paneer was a little undercooked still went really well with phulkas. Dal tadka was freshly seasoned, moong dal it was, light and yum. The subzis were a little excess in quantity and had South Indian touch which made them taste nicely different. Ordered buttermilk to beat the heat, it was seasoned and served cold in a fancy glass ;) it completed our meal.
Simple and nice ambience. Great service! :) definitely pocket friendly, will revisit soon. Thank you!
Out in the hot sun and hungry or craving for some food in cold weather... Step into Varenyam for a classic cup of Filter coffee and hot Vadas.

This is a new joint (couple of months old) which came up at a strategic location in Electronic City Phase-1. Surrounded by some established food eateries, located on first floor and then a rather difficult name to pronounce... none of this has been a challenge for them and I can see a good regular customer base at Varenyam. Initially we could see that it took some time for Varenyam to catch up... but now we could see a good office going folks during all the meals. It is located very near to BDA complex, above Pizza Hut and CCD.It has a simple ambiance and furniture. White walls with some simple paintings, simple wooden furniture and a simple décor. There is a small verandah seating which seemed to be a hot favorite of all. The place was very clean and tables were promptly cleaned. They serve in steel utensils, which was adding to the charm. One best thing -- square plates!! Wow!! What an idea sir ji!!The menu comprises of a good spread of veg and non-veg dishes. They also have some interesting names of the dishes like - Naidu Sir's Chicken biryani, Old City Kheema Balls etc. I suggest to go and explore the menu for some more interesting stuff. We tried Saambar Rice. It was not a Bisibelle Bhath but Saambar and Rice mixed in proper proportion and some ghee poured on it. It was served with Papad. Then we tried Naidu Sir's boneless Chicken Biryani which was very delicious. It was up to expectation. Finally we tried Andhra Chicken Curry and Fulka Roti. Very balanced taste of curry... Andhra friends liked it a lot, which itself is a testimony. Fulka roit was also very good.Though they have a limited staff, we did not feel any big delay in service. Stewards were very responsive and were serving us with a happy face. Overall it was a good experience :Taste and Quality : 3/5Ambiance and Presentation : 3/5Service : 3/5Value For Money : 3.5/5Overall : 3.5/5

Varenyam is a newly opened Andhra Style or I would say Traditional Andhra Style restaurant located near BDA Complex and above Pizza hut in Electronics City Phase 1. A one month old restaurant and has been popularized because of the “Word of Mouth” one of the fastest source of media.
The place has a simple ambience, but makes you think so much because of the antique tables, few black & white photo frames. In my terms, it looks similar to the old Bangalore house, or rather Malgudi Days.
Being a Vegetarian, I saw some interesting Veg Starters like Stuffed Mirchi Bajji, Onion Pakoda and Aloo Tikka along with the regular fare. We tried Stuffed Mirchi Bajji, it was ok, but spice level was low. Mushroom Chili was something everyone loved. Since the mushroom was fresh and perfectly fried with essential ingredients. The dish was crispy outside and soft inside! Onion Pakoda, a dish which everyone loves and especially south Indians! It was priced cheap and good amount of the portion. I would prefer this dish before your favorite Biryani arrive on the table. Non-mushroom eaters decided to order Baby Corn Pepper dry, which wasn’t there on the menu. However, they were very kind enough to prepare for us, which is commendable!
In Main course, we ordered Aakakura Pappu, a traditional dal made with Spinach – It was indeed great and appealing to try more. But my poor tummy always craves for a Biryani, if that is available on the Menu. Yes, I ordered a Rajugari Veg Biryani; it was too good and delicious though. But I wasn’t happy with so called Salan. Since, it tastes like a Tomato Gojju. But my favorite raitha saved me!
They do serve dosas as well, which is priced really high. Probably they should work with pricing for few dishes.
Overall, its a Nice Place!

I was wondering, why the restaurant folks chose a name, which is difficult to pronounce. But this curious mind did some browsing on google! Varenyam signifies our acceptance of God, and can be translated as meaning “Who is worthy”. If you visit here, I am sure you will get a feel of a spiritual center. I would love to pronounce the word “Varenyam” after knowing the meaning of it.
If you know what real good south Indian food is then you will appreciate what Varenyam has to offer...Having lived in Bangalore for 14 years and knowing the difference between restaurant food versus home cooked authentic food, I give this restaurant 2 thumbs up for their food
My personal recommendation would be " Reddy Special Chicken Curry" :), having said that I am looking forward to visiting the place again when I visit the area and try out other items from the menu
Overall a great and affordable place for the family.

Its a surprisingly nice looking place located above the coffee day and Pizza hut at EC. The place serves Dosas and other snack items apart from other Andhra style cuisine items. I tried the Chicken Kheema Dosa as well as the Dosa with Andhra Chicken curry and it was yummy. If only they had mutton kheema, it would have been way better. Service was good and it was nice to see the owner/manager personally paying attention to the customers and attending to their requests.
As this was my first visit, I was only able to try the dosas here. I will definitly be back to try their other stuff and I will update the review with my findings.
A nice place for a good breakfast on a weekend. Overlooking the CCD junction with nostalgia-inducing ambiance of grandpa chairs and old-school switchboards, the place serves good dosas and the chutneys that come with it are even better. We went here in the evening and enjoyed everything here. The place can't be found easily though. Will need to try the lunch/dinner here someday.

Must Haves: Ghee Roast Dosas, Chicken Kheema Dosa
Sometimes in a south Indian city like Bangalore, good south Indian food isn't always easy to come by. Especially in ECity, good south Indian food has been a monopoly of dingy shacks dotted around the locality. Varenyam fills that gap. its a beautiful and classy place. Food is simple and clean. I had the privilege of trying some of their dosas. I tried the ghee roast, the egg dosa and the chicken dosa. All equally good. Everything tasted fresh and simple. The chicken chilly andhra style was also amazing. Prices are good too, if you want good, clean food and a beautiful decor. The service was excellent and non-intrusive. All in all, a good Friday lunch. I cant wait to take my family there.
Quaint and cosy little place right in the middle of the offices serving yummy south indian food. The atmosphere is very homely and the food delicious.I would go back for more of the homely south indian meals.
Went to this place with my friends for lunch. Tried that ghee roast dosa and kesari bath. Good food and nice experience. Will come back to try other items on the menu..
Explored this place a few days back. Varenjyam is a traditional south Indian restaurant. I had a ghee roast and my friend had mini meals. The ghee roast was scrumptious and the add ons, Sambhar and chutney was equally good. The ambience was good and will take you to the old good days and I'll definitely come again!
