Although prices are little high but they never compromise with the quality, will get authentic Bengali sweets.
Specially like the swar bhaja and rasmalai must try.
Most Amazing Bengali Sweet Shop in Bangalore or should I best so far !!!
I've tried Jol Bora (not that great), Malpoa ( Amazing ), Gur Roshogulla ( Superb ), Shondesh ( so so ), Radhawallabhi ( spot on )
🔶 Highlights of the place 🔶
This place needs no introduction.
One of the best for their amazing quality sweets and veg snacks.
🔶 Now, coming to the food 🔶
Sometimes it is heard that they are expensive but the quality of the sweets that they provide justifies the price. Neat & clean in decor & ambiance this shop attracts people with their mouthwatering varieties. The soft sandesh , beautiful mishti doi , rasogolla , pantua ... they have it all. Apart from the sweets they also have Singara
🔺 Recommended for all sweet lovers
[NOTE]: This review is highly from a hard cored sweet tooth addicted point of view over a bengali too obsessed over her desserts.
On a serious note, if you are a sweet lover and loves to explore any sweets from any region and want to explore more of a bengal sweet then this is your mecca!
Not only they offer the quintessential bengali sweets but all the essential sweets down south too . But personally i feel you have better places in the city to explore the south indian sweet delicacies and this place is more of those varieties which are seldom found in this city.
So start with the one which is synonymous to the bong sweet is the ‘sondesh’ , you get a huge variety of it be it the softer one or the harder one with even made of authentic palm jaggery one .
If you are someone new to this place and want to explore then you must try the ‘lyangcha’, ‘lobongo lotika’,’roso kodombo’, ‘mouchak’ and offcourse goes without saying the ‘ baked rosogolla’ . The authentic rosogolla, pantua or the mishti doi are the all time favourites which cannot be missed at any cost.
A bengali’s sweet tale over food keeps going on and i will bet you will love it too.
Well, if your overdozed on sweets you may even ask for their samosa(very bengali) , kachori or the highly recommanded vegetable chop ( cutlet).
[SERVICE]: Be it the service or the corteousness of the staffs, everything is very prompt and leaves no place for complains . The only concern is the pricing is bit on the higher side .
This place for the bengali sweets is highly recommandable.
Banchharam is one of those places available in Bengaluru which will satisfy my sweet cravings. Place is known for Bengali sweets but once should not discriminate among the sweets and love everything what they offer.
The price is big high compared to other competitors, Banchharam has sweets of several varieties, quality is top notch and tastes amazing. A very well maintained place and the arrangements of sweets such that you wont come back without eating at least couple of them.
First line I want to say- I am from Kolkata and I love sweets. I can assure, kolkata and sweets is a pure love story.
Banchharam, no doubt will give you the collection of quality sweets which will give you a pleasure. I visited 3-4 times here, I took lot of 'Sondesh (Dry sweets) and Rosomalai'.. Sometimes 'Chhanar Jilipi'- Kaju Barfi- awesome mouth watering desserts !!!
All over rating 4/5... but I don't think I will get better sweets here in bangalore ..so 5/5...
The ultimate place to go and try out the best of bengali Cuisine, the quintessential Mishti! The places serves the best of both world. While at one hand, you get to taste Rosogolla, gurer sondesh and Chamcham, You can also pack and take away Kaju katlis! ANd they are equally good in taste.
You cannot sit and eat. Need to take home and stand and eat, what we call jalpan at home. Shopkeepers speak Bengali. Price is decent.
My pick: The pithe, the rosomalai, the gujia.
I hear they also serve kashta kachoori and some variants of Nimki these days. Great experience!
Sweet paradise from the land of Bengal....it offers a huge range of delicious bong sweets, which can make any sweet tooth go 'Wow'. My favourite place in Bangalore to satisfy my sweet cravings.
MISHTI... Well, that's what sweets are for us, WE BENGALIS.
... And Banchharam, is one of those rare options available in Bengaluru, which somewhat satisfies our sweet cravings . Being Bengali, we have that never-ending love for sweets and thus, I cannot discriminate among the sweets, I love each and every sweet available here.
A bit pricey, Banchharam has sweets of several varieties, quality is undoubtedly good, and tastes amazing.
Very fresh bengali sweets, delightful in taste. Price is on the higher end, especially compared to Kolkata. But the quality is phenomenal. They have loads of variety too.
I never really knew what Bancharam meant for Bengalis or any Kolkatans until I heard about it from them directly.
I have a bengali friend who always gifts me 2 big boxes of kheer kadam, malai roll and a big pot of misti-doi, and I'm extremely protective of them as no one can eat just one. My family people just grab it selfishly and pretend like they haven't tasted them to grab once again, he he.. !! After that everytime I visit Bancharam I make sure I do justice to that place tasting at-least 1 rack of those sweets (1 piece of every sweet) to my heart's content. The best thing about these sweets is that they are much UNLIKE other sweets which are generally too sugary and sweet giving you a headache.
These are less-sugary, soft which allows you to taste the original flavor of milk/khoa which lingers in your tongue craving for more !Go Enjoy Bancharam !!
Good place to go if u r a sweet lover ...all the available sweets are tasty and fresh ...rasmalai..rasgulla..Misti dahi...and list goes on...and it does not ends on sweets ...for spice lover we have radavallabh...samosa kachori....tastes yum..Banchharam
Super delicious and authentic Bengali sweets. One of the best in Bangalore. Reasonably priced and great variety of sweets. Most importantly, it has a very clean ambience and friendly staff.
Kolkata's very own favourite sweet shop in Bangalore, it was such a delight to come across this place.
The place is pretty clean and they have a good variety of sweets starting of different kinds of sandesh to pantua, rosogolla, baked rosogolla and many more. Their sweets are never disappointing and they also have another range of eateries like samosa, kachori, mini samosas. The authentic bengali dish Radhaballabi is a must try.
Gone out for a walk with my friends in Koramangala and saw this shop and while seeing the arrangements of desserts - it cause me beats to have sweet and also to a spicy food. tried rasmallai, sandesh, lancha, chomchoms and with samosaas , a few other items. The syrups felt made of real date palm jaggery instead of the medicinal tasted ones sold at a Sweets chain in Bangalore. The chenna also felt freshly done,,,,,,,..
good for a tit of snacks..
A must visit Bengali sweet joint for all famous Bengali sweet. Have been to this place couple of times and this is place never bored me. Misti doi (Sweet curd), kalajam, baked rosogolla were simply amazing. Being a bengali sweet becomes one of the most important deserts after food.
Rating:
Taste: 4/5
Variety: 3.5/5
Cleanliness: 3.8/5
Overall 4/5
I am a pure bengali and I just love sweets. I have been here so many times. I like sweets here. Though they are not that much tasty as Kolkata's sweets. But it is good and you can get good sweets here.
If I start telling my list of choice of sweets it will not end, but here my favourite is Baked Rosogolla.
Any Bengali foodie would like to visit this place who has sweet tooth. We friends ordered for radha pollobi and few mishtis. Radha pollobi tasted very delightful though the alu dom didn't have that typical taste and i found it bland. In mishti lengcha, kalo jaam, mishti doi, rasmalai was absolutely fine but the rajbhoj from which I had too much expectations turned out to be hard and tasteless. Overall the place is life saviour for Bengali sweet lover in Bangalore.
For the authentic bangali sweets Bancharam is the best darn place. If I ever come to the Sai Baba temple, the trip is not complete without going to Bancharam. Its a refreshing change from KC Das and their mishti doi is the best I have had in bangalore. Their radhaballavi and aloo dum is really nice.
The sweets here are exquisite in quality. The guur Sandesh, the cham cham and some rasmalai are all very very tasty. A special mention for the mishti doi. My recommendation is that you go for the one in the 'bhaand' as opposed to the one in the plastic container. The only reason the rating is shaved off is that since alot of the stuff comes from Calcutta, it isn't very fresh.
I am a sweet tooth person, hence my love for all kinds of desserts on the world... This place is the best for yumm sweets... I love their Samosa and rasmalai.. they have great varieties of sweets to try...
Perfect destination for Bengali sweets.
It reminds you of those mouth watering sweet shops at every corner of every roads of Kolkata. It makes you nostalgic about home and the food you get there.
Not going to judge this place based on anything else! Love it!
With most shops producing substandard "bengali" sweets and selling at a premium; Bancharam is like a breath of fresh air. You actually have bengali people working there making the sweets - how much more authentic can it get.
Had gone out with a few friends for a food walk across Koramangala and decided to finish off with bengali desserts - cause nothing beats a super sweet end to a spicy food walk.
Tried out rasgullas both of jaggery type and sugary syrup type as well as sandesh, lancha, chomchoms and a few other items. The syrups felt made of real date palm jaggery instead of the medicinal tasted ones sold at a Sweets chain in Bangalore. The chenna also felt freshly done, no stale taste to it.
Recently had been to Kolkata and when I compared the prices with the sweet shops there it felt similar. And nothing premium. Im glad that we are able to get genuine bengali sweets in Bangalore at the current prices - unlike the others ripping us off with their lookalike "bengali" sweets that taste nothing like the authentic ones.
Very decent place for delicious bengali sweets. Most of sweets which I have tasted were very good and comparable to some of the best places for bengali sweets at Bangalore. Off course I am not a big fan of sweets. The only thing one must note is that pricing is on the higher side.
Decent place to have bengali desserts and lots of variety of bengali desserts.
But savouries are below average. I visited here with my friends and we had samosa kachori rasgola sondesh.
Gud bengali sweets....sondesh ,samosa. ..available.....Damn tasty...staying in south n getting to eat sondesh from kolkata.....worth actually...
More variety can be added .....Price can be kept moderate ...as I feel sondesh charged here is triple rate from actual....

Whenever I am craving Bengali Sweets; I head to Banchharam. The Shingara (Samosa); Mishti Doi is my favourite. Yes, it is a little bit on the expensive side compared to prices in Kolkata as well as some other shops in Bangalore but that premium is worth it for the taste.
Banchharam is a very renowned name in Kolkata for Sweets. Bangalore also it has quite a few branches. I've visited both Marathahalli and the Koramangala branch.
The Koramangala branch is quite good. Decent staff, good quality of sweets, Taste is quite close to that of Kolkata.
Cleanliness can be a little better. The waste disposal area is not frequently cleared. Hence most of the time, you'll find it overflowing.
Price is little on the higher side and not all the time a value for money. Rosogolla is quite good. Savouries and snacks availability can be better too.
Let me get one thing straight, this outlet is shitty expensive. My wife hails from kolkata and was shocked after seeing their high prices. But if you can burn a hole in your pocket then bancharam is a phenomenal outlet for bengali sweets in koramangala. I don't know the exact name of thwir sweets but everything I have tasted till date was great. My favourites are obviously misthi doi and roshogulla. So yes, bancharam is expensive but offers authentic and tasty bengali sweets.
Banchharam I first visited a year ago after that I usually take on when I feel to have some savouries... The quality is top class, the prises may hurt but good value for money!!
I have been to Banchharam first time with my office friend (bengali dada) in 2012, koramangala . from then its my fav. Bengali shop.
The Wide Varieties of Sweets ( Rosogulla , jalbhora , lengcha(kala jamun) and other items Radhavallabi , taste very delicious and similar what offered in Bangal.
I rate 4.5 based on location, cleanliness,value for money,quality & taste
I have been to the Koramangala outlet, as well as to the newly opened JP Nagar (near Delmia circle) outlet. The prices are too high. A samosa costs Rs18 is beyond understanding. But I must say, they make the samosa real good. At least in Bangalore, you can't get that kind of samosa (in bengali we call singara) elsewhere. The sweets rosogolla, lobongo lotika, sandesh, swar puriya (price is too much) are all very delicious. As I am a Bengali, I keep coming here again and again despite the premium price.
The JP Nagar shop is so small, you can't even stand there are eat. 4-5 people can crowd that place.
Bengali sweet at premium best in Bangalore. But seemed very high priced to me. Want an alternate and cheaper variety behind Ganesha Temple, Koramangla, an Odhia shop. Coming to sweets here, no doubt they are excellent. Especially the Ras malai and Chamcham. Samosa Kachori here are OK. Have many better alternatives around. Worth a try. Good cleanliness maintained.

Well I was on my way home when my fiancé told me that there is a Banchharam shop in koromangala and we went there to eat some singara. The singara and Kochuri is really awesome and felt like I am in kolkatta. Then we had rosogulla, rosomalai and sondesh. I will give them 4.5 coz of the quality and the authentic taste of WB. The price is way lower than KC Das and in my opinion it tastes better too.
Located in 7th block few places away from Aalishan, my friends used to mention about the savouries available, though costly but great in taste. So visited this place on a weekend to try out couple of things.
Shop is very clean having vibrant ambiance. Staff were polite and seems to be properly trained. After that when I checked the prices, then came to know that cost is literally too much as compared to other shops I visited in Bangalore. A singara costs 18 bucks, same as rosogulla... can't get any justification!!!
No doubts about the the taste for some dishes I tried. Singara is really nice, liked the potato stuffing a lot. Reminded me of my favourites snack corner at Hazra More in Kolkata!! Veg cutlet on the other hand was below average for me. Don't know why it tasted sweet to me.
Kheer kadam was way too costly though was nice in taste. Mishti doi was nice and I got some parcelled too.
Coming to nolen gurer rosogulla and rajbhog, my all time favourites. Rosogulla was a bit chewy. Rajbhog on the other hand was delectable!! My friends were all praise for it.
A nice place for quality sweets though they need to work on their prices. Can suggest a visit to everyone once to try it out.
Best singara(Bengal Samosa) in Bangalore period. I love it. Chirtokoot is very nice. Sweet curd is very good. Abar khabo is also good. Other sweets are average. Radhaballabi, Kachori and Veg. Chop are also good. The cost is really on higher side. The
I had a bengali partner with me when I visited this place who told me what to eat .
I would say the jaggery rasgulla was a bit disappointing .
The malai roll was finger licking good , so was the sandesh .
Do try the other bengali sweets and savories on board !
If you want to savour authentic Bengali sweets, this is the place to be. Though I must warn you that a small snack of samosas and some sweets is enough to burn a hole of a hundred bucks in no time. Their radhaballavi and aloo ki subzi is a favourite breakfast item for me. If you have bengali friends or relatives, a box of sweets from this place is highly recommended.
If you love sweets this is the palace to be, however it's obscenely expensive. Average price per sweet is around 18-20 INR. Apart from that it's all too good to resist. The samosas are the best in Bangalore, same goes for Sarbhaja and Lobongo Lotika. It's definitely not a cheap place but great taste. If you love Bengali sweets then this is a must visit place. All calorie conscious people, please stay away :)
Went here recently pick up lots of sweets for guests coming home. This place was recommended by a friend. The quality of the sweets is quite good. Also, the service is good.
Of course it is the name on top of mind for every Bengali who crave for sweets. This is place is well decked up , neat and tidy as most of its outlet in Kolkata. I visit this place whenever I miss my City of Joy. Mishti doi, nolen gurer rossogolla, sarbhaja and of course sandesh that I had here so far where excellent. Tastes just like sweets back home.
We oft this small, easily missable, but awesome, authentic Bengali sweets shop at least once every fortnight. The Mishti doi is amazing! Love the savouries too. They don't make it daily though. The gur based sandesh are good too. And the sor bhaja. Yummm!
Good place for Bengali Sweets like Sondesh, Cham Cham etc, Rasogula etc. But not just this, they at various times of the day serve Bengali Namkeen snacks like Poori Aloo which has a unique taste. Prices are normal and less then what K.C Das will charge for a similar quality and taste. I knew a few Bengali friends of mine who love this place.
Amazing Bengali sweets are served here but at a higher cost, as their products are authentic and tastes the same as you might have them in West Bengal
Their evening snacks of Luchiee is another reason to visit them

The small shop is located in 7th block of Koramangala and it stocks a wide range of Bengali sweets. I was especially wowed by their Nolen gurer sandesh (jalbhara) which was soft and full of flavour of fresh gur.
Kheer kadamba also was nice - with the soft rasgulla inside covered by the khoya on top. The pink colored Ras Kadambas and the Malpoas inside the counter also looked very inviting, but since I just had some Kolkata rolls from a neighbouring shop, I was too full to try them.
They make other goodies of a typical Bengali sweet shop - Radhaballabi with alur dom in the morning, and singaras in the evening. A must go place for the sweet lovers of Bengaluru.
For more on my food journeys visit:
Man !! Anyone want to get your taste buds soaked with sweets !! This in the right one !! Best suited for sweet walas !! Never miss to try crispy jamoon !!

This is my second Bancharam outlet review in Bangalore.
As I had mentioned in my first review for their Ulsoor outlet , this brand is synonymous for mishti ( mithai or sweets) for most of Bengalis and sweet lovers in the city.
The outlet has been well designed , looks attractive , clean and hygienic which appeals to me and most customers while buying sweets and food products.
Little expensive but definitely worth the price in Bangalore , the must buys for me were the mishti doi , nolen gur rasgulla , Sandesh among the favourites there.
They also send singada ( samosa ) and other savoury products too but I have not tried them here.
This place gives me taste of Kolkata and reminds me of my Kolkata years long time back.
Please do try if you have a sweet Bengali tooth.
If u are looking for an authentic Bengali sweet shop in Bangalore then this one of the best options around. The place is located next to alishan restaurant in Koramangala. The place is quite hygienic.
We tried samosas radha ballavi, mishti doi, and baked rasogollas.. The aloo subji served with radha ballavi was a bit too sweet but it was good. Samosas were a bit dry. But baked rasogollas and mishti doi are really tasty and most recommended.
The price is costly
Do try this outlet for Bengali sweets cravings..
The only good place in Bangalore where you will get good Bengali sweets. Quality of the sweets is undoubtedly good and the guys over there are well behaved as well. However it's overpriced and that might not make you go there frequently.
Awesome!! Expensive though....love the malai roll! But I think shelf life too less compared to normal Bengali sweets too..I mean it doesn't taste as perfect and as awesome as on the first day.. But still excellent taste..
This is one of my favorite destinations when I want to have Gulab Jamun or any similar kind of sweets. When it comes to other sweets I felt this place as average. I have tried out many places in Bangalore for a good Jamun but I liked it only here. The price is on the higher side but still I felt it is justified.
The bongs are known for their sweetness, and for their sweets of course. There are a lot of sweet shops in and around bangalore and no place serves the bong sweet apart from Bancharam. This is same chain of sweet shop from Calcutta therefore it is quite authentic. The variety is impeccable and the quality is exquisite. Their radhaballavi is delectable and the kheer kadam is enticing.
They serve most accurate version of radhaballavi. The singharas and the chops are heavenly.
One thing is there since they are one of their kind in Bangalore they charge a premium for that, which I believe is ok.
Over all a must visit for bongs.
This is a branch of one of the most popular sweet shop in kolkata.
They have varieties of bengali sweets ranging from gujiya, chamcham, rosogolla, langcha, lobongo lotika, sandesh and the ever popular mishti doi.
Also available are vegetable chops, radhaballavi, kachoris etc.
The place is costly compared to sweet shops at kolkata.
Cost 3/5
Quality 4/5
OVERALL 3.5/5
A place to be if you are from Bengal living in Bangalore carving for misti dohi, radhaballavi, langcha, sandesh.......or whatever. You just name it. Yes, a bit overpriced but a good place to get Bengali Sweets & Snacks. My favorites are radhaballavi, samosa, misthi dohi & baked gur rasugulla.
This place have great bong sweets in the city at a way higher cost. The sweets have the ultimate flavor of the city of joy bit the prices will give you a heart attack. Well if u crave for sweets and money is not a factor, then please visit here coz the sweets will not disappoint you
A perfect place to have some overpriced bong sweets in Kormangla. :)
The radha-ballabi is awesome. The singaras, also known as samosas to non-bengalis are ok(not worth Rs16/- per piece definitely)
The sweets are good but somehow I feel quite average to the real bong taste you get in any normal sweet shop in Bengal.
Also, being a small outlet they keep limited stocks in Kormangla. Sweets are made somewhere else and transported here.
Still a good place to surprise your non-bengali friends who love sweets.
This place is a must visit for people who hail from West Bengal and have been missing the sweets available there. The only complaint is the steep pricing.
I am a little surprised at all the low ratings for this place * Nodding head in dismay* but again everyone has an opinion. I'm not a Bengali nor have I been to Kolkata so my review is pretty much as a person who loves only Bengali sweets but after Boondi Laddoo :) So I would have tried Rasgullas and Rasmalai across the cities I have travelled.
I went to Banchcharams for the first time on Diwali this year. I was cribbing and complaining how Diwali I get only Peda and no Jamuns or any thing which has things floating or dripping sugar syrup or milk (demanding me :P) and I had my Bong foodie friend to the rescue. He said 'Onju' why dont we go to Banchcharams ? and I did! Boy am I happy I did. Best Diwali ever!! I have never binged so much that I got a sugar rush. All I can say is I cant remember chewing anything cuz everything just melted including Rasgullas.. So fresh and soft.. Usually when I have Rasgullas elsewere I feel like its cleaning my teeth cuz of all those squeaky noises :D
Must try the Malai Roll,Long jamuny thingy.. Rasmalai..Samosas..Brown Rasgulla thingy ( I remember asking the names then forgot it in all the awesomeness and Google wont tell me whats the other name for long brown jamun thingy!Hmmph!)
Price : Yes its high for other sweet shop standards, but I love the Malai roll so
much. :) and you cant put a price tag on love :P
Tip : Go at around 11ish in the morning.... Fresh Stuff :)
Have visited this place numerous time, as this is one of the most top brand of Kolkata. The place is located beside Alishan restaurant (near HDFC signal @ Koramangala). There are numerous sweet varities options available here. Compared to Kol, the price will be expensive, as most special RAW items are procured from Kolkata itself. For white sandesh , they get solids by flight. The milk comes from Tamil-nadu.
The taste for samosa / kachori is very good. I prefer to take rabri, rasamalai, and chitrakoot here. The original ghee smell fills your soul !!! Overall, a very good place for authentic bengali sweets.
The prices touch the sky, but tastes good. New varieties are also available along with the famous ones.
Well the shop is modest but the only thing it wasn't kept well. Little bugs roamed around here and there(hope shopkeeper notes it please), they didn't have all the sweets we wanted. Its a bengali sweet shop and I thought they will have a separate section of milk sweets in abundance. Maybe my luck was bad. But my mom loved whatever I got her so 4 stars for you guys. All the best.
Its a Bengali style sweet shop with variety of sweets available. But the prices are bit high compared to similar shops. Quality of the seeets are good. Place is small, during festivals gets crowded. There is no seats, only standing. I would recommend their baked rasagulla and chamcham.
Best Kolkata sweets. Period.
Reasonably priced and extremely tasty.
The place is hygienic too.
I have visited Bancharam multiple times. I like their offerings in snacks such as singara or radha ballavi. The food is authentic Kolkata style and always has been lip smacking, delicious. Mishti doi is another thing available here. Do try out other Bengali sweets as well. Baked Rasogollas here are equally good!
I am not someone with a sweet tooth but I loved their Malai roll, and mishti doi. I did not like the ras malai though. It was very creamy almost like it did not have any ras, rather it had cream.
Good taste food supplies, have clean foods , it's famous one
Just drop in here if wanna grab some quick delicious Bengali sweets and snacks
Sudh Desi ghee sweets and samosa..
Yummy .. recommend for sweet lovers.
Samosa is little costly ..should be of 20 per piece max..just a suggestion
Best Bengali sweets you can get in Bangalore. Banccharam shops are usually small in size so u ll not see too many people sitting inside and eating. People tend to get their stuff packed. They have less variety as compared to the likes of Kanti and Anand sweets. But in terms of product quality they are way ahead.
The best in town. Although, a bit pricy for people who come from Bengal, as we are not used to see sweets at such exorbitant prices. Being away from Bengal, you won't mind paying given the taste.
One of limited places for authentic Bengali sweets in Bengaluru. Taste wise really good, however the prices are extremely high as they procure their raw materials from different places. Banchharam is considered as one of the expensive shops in Kolkata as well.
