If you love parathas , then this one is definitely the place to eat. Being close to my office, I have the good fortune of visiting this place at least twice a week. The paneer paratha is a must,-have and 65 bucks for 2 parathas just makes it very economical and total value for money. Besides the parathas they also make great samosas during the evenings and good chole bhature on Fridays. Since the space is small, it can get congested but all,-in-all a damn fine place for lunch.
Punjabi Bites is the ideal place for those who crave good north Indian food that isn't heavy on the pocket. I've dropped by several times to have their parathas or the north Indian thali, and it never seems to be a slow day for them. The steady stream of customers is testament to the eatery's popularity in the neighbourhood.
The samosas are also worth a try, if you're lucky enough to get your hands on them, because only a limited number are made every day.
Your friendly neighborhood Ghar-ka-khana place with a good variety and spread of food everyday. The parathas are really good too. Usually crowded with bachelors eating and having fun conversations.
A sweet and small place at the corner of the road to have sober, inexpensive and good food. They give either rice or chapati in the thali and ask for our choice of sabzi from the options available. They also have parathas, gulab jamun and lassi in their menu.
Brilliant place for north Indian and home made food, everything on the menu is a must try. Their parathas are just lip smacking. A place for all. And especially students and people staying alone as it's pocket friendly.
Really love the mouth watering samosas and hot gulab jaamuns here. There is no place to park two wheelers. If you are in walkable distance, dont miss this place
It brings the taste of your home to you. Very economical, hygienic, less spicy and fresh food. Fast service. Gulaab jamun is a must try item, I bet you will ask for one more like me. The only problem is you have to stand and eat but this place best suits to our pocket, tongue & tummy.😄😄😄
What do you call a place:
1. That serves food that tastes like home cooked food
2. That is very light on the pocket (the sumptuous thaali costs just Rs. 65 and you get a sumptuous extra serving for Rs. 20)
3. Serves some of the best samosas and gulab jamuns you will ever get in Bangalore (and that's just Rs.12)
I would call this place is a life saver! The owner and staff would know me as the guy who always has aalu bhindi and rakes a bill of Rs. 97 each time!
Highly recommend for regular dinners.
Good food.. quick service and reasonable prices.. is the best place for all youngsters staying in pgs or who are looking for a good north Indian meal on the wind tunnel road..
This small shop on 3rd cross SR Layout Murgeshpalya is a great place to have authentic, lip smacking , finger-licking Punjabi food. Be it Lassi, cholla bhatura, roti-sabzi, golgappas or gulab jamun everything is extremely tasty and very reasonable priced.
Superb food... The quality and hygiene is just right for the price you pay. Cheap and affordable, It's the typical Indian mess kind of place.
Authentic Punjabi food !
Nice, authentic Punjabi flavours. Easy on the pocket and good for a quick snack and even for a proper dhaba-style meal!
Their paranthas are fantastic and the mint and tamarind chutneys are kickass.
They could improve on the cleanliness and hygiene though.

Punjabi Bites is that typical North Indian kind of food served in ‘mess’ or ‘canteen’ sort of an environment. Paratas, Lassi, Phulakas with various sides, is what the menu caters to, nothing of the fancy sort, except for probably Chole Bathura which is served on Fridays and Saturdays.
The ambience is as basic as it can get. An absolutely no frills environment with only a stand and eat sort of a facility. A few tables with an open kitchen are what the dining area comprises of. The service is quick and the clientele is mostly the college going crowd and people who live in the nearby PG facilities. The joint is run by a Punjabi family and hence this place wont fail you taste wise. The pricing is very decent and is definitely worth the money you pay. The hygiene is not all that great considering it’s a ‘mess’ sort of an ambience.
Since it was a Saturday afternoon we tried Chole Bathura at first. The Bathura was exceptional, just that it did not contain the usual bloat till I reached the table. It came apart very easily and was super soft. The Chole though were not at all spicy. It had some masalas but not at all spicy, which is perhaps not the Dilli style. The meal combo was totally worth it. You can choose 2 sides from the 4-5 sides (usually one dry vegetable sot of a dish, two gravies and one dal) prepared for the day for your combo and pick either 5 chapathis or 2 chapathis and a portion of rice. It is accompanied with some salad. The Paratas were very well done. The Paratas have to be the USP of this place. More so the thick curd they are accompanied with. Right off the tawa they are served piping hot. The Samoas were pretty good too.
Went for dinner with my friend, after he applauded the place for having the best pranthas in Bangalore. And he was not wrong.
They have a very limited menu, serving only pranthas , chole bathure and thali combos along with some sweets and drinks like lassi etc. Its a small place with high rise tables, so you have to stand and eat.
Food - We tried aloo, paneer and aloo pyaz pranthas, all of them were served hot and tasted amazing. food is prepared right in from of your eyes so you know is hygienic and cooked like home. Their gulab jamuns were also great.
Food is also very economical. Its a must visit place if you want to have some good pranthas.
Yummy punjabi food , this place is correct for you.
Food is delicious, fresh, and spicy.. Can be little less spicy too...
Quality and value for money...
Even they have yummy gulab jamuns...
Only one thing they lack is hygiene, which they can improve on easily but they dont do... Please improve hygiene...
Cheap food, good food. The meal with 5 phulkas, one dry vegetable and one gravy is amazing value for money. The food is always hot and tasty, and is prepared right in front of your eyes.
Aloo parathas are great too. The only downside to this place is the general level of hygiene.
Perfect for a quick lunch, especially when you don't want to spend too much.
Another fast food joint on wind tunnel road that will blow you away. Very very affordable and a great place to savour parathas and have a hearty meal. Everything on their menu has soul and they will not disappoint your taste buds.
Its a very good Punjabi dhaba. The food which you get will always be fresh and tasty.Prices are also not high.In short best place to have paranthas near old airport road.
Good home cooked style food. Quick and tasty. Had dinner at this place for almost last 2 years, always relished it. best are their gulab jamun.. Nice
Routine place. Rates are according to the quantity you take. Roti's are the best part. Different part is, It's a dhaba with icici atm kiosk openly available in the centre of it's 8 feet entrance.
Its exactly opposite to my house... the best part here peicing and quality... pricing is very muvh reasonable for the quality... its a small joint and very much catchy and handy...
It's a pretty small place good for routine lunch/dinner.
But, I have to admire the taste of their food. It's delicious quality food priced appropriately.

Good for quick eats. Thali is very good n reasonable at 65/- with 5 rotis with choice of two curries. Otherwise parathas are also delicious.
I went to punjabi bites for lunch. A small place which serves nice food quickly. Limited items on menu but good for a quick bite. There are no chairs, just standing snack tables. You can stand and eat. So not much rush. Service is quick.
I had aloo parantha, gobi parantha and gulab jamoon. All tasted just perfect. They serve curd and salad along with that. Curd tasted far better than most of the dhabas I had food at. And it all costed 110 for two people. :)
Simply loved it. Will go again to have a quick lunch.

Very authentic punjabi food.nice people as well.definetly recommend to visit once.,.........................................................
The Punjabi Bites is quite nearby to my place. I have been having my food from last 9 months. Apart from parathas; you can try typical north indian vegetarian food as well. I don't think you can have Kadi Pakora, Dal Makhani or Rajma in less than 70 rupees any where in Bangalore. Staff is very friendly. There are very few small eating points, where you pay bill after having food or you can pay later if u don't have change.
Taste: Typical north indian touch. If you are getting bored ... you can have a chat with others or owner as well ;)
Gulab Jaamun is a must try.
You can have your food packed if you are with your family because there is no sitting space.
Wonderful food, tastiest parathas in Old Airport road...acceptably clean and friendly people quick service....
Amazing food! Love the channa bhatura, lassi, gulab jamun!
Going there regularly for about 6+ months now.
What's good:
Parathas served with curd - do try alu(potato), gobi(cauliflower) and muli(radish), paneer.
Did not find methi paratha any good.
Gulab jamun - MUST try. soft, soaked in sugar syrup with right amount cardemom.
Chole Bhature - available only on friday/saturday.
Rajma/dal makhani with chawal - available sometimes based on your luck.
Thali - Usually cooks 2-3 types of vegetables and 2 types of dal. Pick any 2 of these with 5 rotis or 2 roti+rice
Absolutely love the food here. Reminds me of home. The Chhole Bhature are to die for, and the owner is a gentle man with a noble heart. The Paneer paratha is also amazing. In fact, everything is healthy and hygienic. You couldn't ask for a better substitute for home cooked food
Great home style cooking. Always come for take-away. The parathas are so fresh and great to eat, the curries have good variety everyday and the cost is pretty cheap. Where can you get your tummy full for less than a 100 rupees these days?
Fresh samosas are a must-eat and the gulab jamuns are not to be missed. Do try out.
Awesome place to have parathas. I havent found parathas better than this place in bangalore. Reminds me of delhi. The samosas are way too awesome. But limited in number. You ll enjoy each n every thing on the menu. The owner n staff is very nice. There is only one problem that there is no place to sit, you have to stand.
Superb place to eat. You wont get any place to sit as you have to stand and eat but the food is amazing and price even more amazing. 50 bucks is all you need to get full! You want to treat yourself? Spend 100 bucks and you won't have any stomach to eat more. I love this place!
Awesome place for bachelors to eat. Nice food at cheap price. Owner behaviour is really nice.
Amazing food. Healthy and tastes like home food. Authentic North Indian paranthas with lot of varieties. Aloo Onion paratha is a must try. Also the manager/owner of this place is a cute, kind hearted, eligible bachelor. Must try if you’re cute single girl in 20s.
I recently visited this Punjabi Bites and all I can say is that the hospitality was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu had limited items but the parathas were really delicious. The North Indian thali was also really good and the chole bhature and gulab jamun were definitely a must try. Everything was very fresh and the price was very reasonable. The only downside was that there was no sitting option. But that didn't stop me from getting the delicious parathas. The North Indian curries and rotis were also really good. The only payment option available was cash, so I would suggest that they look into other payment options like Paytm or card payment. Overall, the experience was great and the food was really delicious. Highly recommend it!
The place can be better interms of taste..But v affordable for everyone and still the taste is not wow but better than other places serving the same ...
One among the best North Indian meals.
Though the shop is small but the hospitality is best. There is less variety on menu but paratha's are yummy. There north indian thali is jus best . The chole bhature and gulam jamun is must try. In short yummy food at affordable price and best part is they cook everything fresh front of u.
Food has always been great with no compromise on quality. Cost is so nominal that you can even make it a routine visit here without facing burden on your pocket. Menu has varities of parathas, roti-rice plate with choice of 2 curry, chole bhature(Fri & Sat), lassi, samosa(evening only) and gulab jamun. Space is small and you will have eat while standing. Although, hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout. Owner is very humble & kind.
If you are coming from the North and living in Murgeshpalya then you must try their food. Loved thier taste. Paaji is really sweet.
A big salute to Jolly from Punjabi Bites.
My family is in quarantine due to covid and Jolly delivered us lunch and dinner without charging a rupee..How many will render such a service? It's been a week now and the food delivered is of top quality. Not very spicy or oily and it was a perfect protein rich diet which is needed for people recovering from Covid.
Can't thank Jolly enough for this service:)waiting to head to his restaurant once situation improves:)
It is really a great place with very tasty meals and drinks.
I have enjoyed a lot with my friends here.
It is the best thing i ever had.
I suggest all my guys and family members to visit here for the best comfort and great taste quality all around the city.
Homely Food and Tasty Roti's
Happened to visit this place for dinner and found it to be awesome.. Best part is home made chappati's. In place like Bangalore, it is hard to find a good north indian Thali, for then this is best and budget friendly.
You also get range of Parantha's served with curd. Tried one of the Pranatha and tasty to eat.. The place does not provide sitting accomodation. At this price you can't expect that too.
Authentic Panjabi food. Value for money. Excellent taste. The new name is Jolly Da Dhaba.
A small place with no sitting option. But that doesn't matter when you get delicious paratha at a very reasonable price. North indian curries and Roti's are also a good option to try. The only payment option is cash here, haven't seen any other options like Paytm or even card payment.
Affordable place for Ghar ka khana. They open early in the morning and provide meals and paranthas that just feel like home.
It's a small food place not a restaurant. They have daily menus with 3-4 punjabi sabji and dal with 4-5 types of paratha choice and rice.
Price is very low. Good to go if you want fill your tummy, food taste average
The kind of homely food at the rates they are serving is truly a service and not business. Sardarji and his team are really good. Vijay bhaiya in the staff is a great guy.
Really amazing and authentic punjabi restaurant , would recommend to everyone , go try out there food and if you are not from Bangalore then I am sure it will remind you of your home .
