A sweet little cafe in the Hatworks Boulevard in Cunningham Road, this one is for folks to enjoy a quiet uninterrupted conversation as the world buzzed by.
Though the portions are small, they’re amazing to the taste and the manager’s service here was kindly and prompt. Typically cutesy cafes don’t fare well with the food but consider The Culinarium a surprise exception!
Little in space but big on personality, a short walk in this heritage building will take you to Hybiscus, a plant and decor store right behind it, which offers a pretty expanse of green and a soothing swing to boot! Would recommend for groups of 3 or lesser for a quiet cuppa and a break from the cityscape. Cheryl Braggs
The history of this place originates from Ooty.. Coonoor to be exact . While they have a full fledged continental restaurant over there, this is kind of a mini branch which functions as a cafe.. Ms. Nazir who's the curator over here has done an excellent job of making a regular out of me.. I found this place by accident and have been Wishing I found such understated places more often.
Their offerings are of very high standards in terms of quality and flavor that puts a lot of other popular cafes to shame.
My favorites : The chocolate orange, the opera and the chocolate raspberry. Croissants are really good as well
Do not.. And I repeat DO NOT exit the building without having tried their pot pie .
They got a good selection of vegan ice creams as well.. The seating is minimal and efficient where you can chill with a good cuppa and a book or a tablet for a read.
Give this a place a try for your sweet cravings of you are in the vicinity of Cunningham road.
Went there just to have the vegan ice cream.tried the chocolate one and it was definitely too good. The dairy lavender was okay. Went there on a rainy day the ambiance was exceptional and courteous staff.
This place serves the best ice cream that I've ever eaten. Their vanilla, chocolate and salted caramel are simply yummy 😋. The place is small, but the staff and service is good.
This is a quaint little cafe, a hidden gem. They have great breads and pastry options. We often go back here just for their ice creams - the salted caramel is a delight. Their food options are tasty, however portion sizes are small.
I only recently heard about The Culinarium through a friend who had ordered their savoury veg palmiers. I found them incredibly tasty and quite frankly couldn't stop thinking of those palmiers! So of course I had to get them again. I googled the place and got there on a cloudy day 2 weeks ago. It's one of the most quaint places I've been to in Bangalore. It's cosy as heck and oh-so charming. I love this place and would recommend their delish food. Do try their lamb pot pie as well. 🤤
My review of The Culinarium is a bit different as it's not a food review - haven't visited yet. In case many of you aren't aware, they sell a selection of vegetables and greens sourced from their own farms in Ooty/Ketti. I've ordered these and I'm super happy with the quality and prices. Their coloured carrots, lettuces and spinach were very high quality. I especially loved the spinach because it didn't completely wilt and turn into mush while cooking. I plan to be a regular customer. They don't deliver, I had Dunzo pick up my order. Look forward to visiting the café soon as well. 😊
Driving back after a long day at work, I chanced upon this quaint little cafe in Cunningham Road. Wanting
to grab a cup of tea to recharge my batteries, I walked into The Culinariam. The counter exuded such sugary confidence that I couldn’t resist ordering an eclair along with my cup of black tea. Little did I know that this place would make my not so great day, a lot brighter.
The eclairs here are the stuff that real sweet dreams are made of. Buttery, warm, crisp pastry topped with decadently delicious chocolate, the real surprise lies within. The custard filling inside the pastry melts in your mouth and blends seamlessly with the perfect chocolate ganache topping. Washing it down with a cup of piping hot organic black tea, I was in for the second surprise. Brewed with a pinch of what I strongly suspect is magic, the tea has a certain rich earthy goodness to it. Packing quite a punch with its lovely treats, the cafe had me raring to go again!
Weekly excursions to The Culinariam has already found its place in my schedule. Will definitely recommend this place to every person with a penchant for all things sweet.

We wondered why vegan ice cream wasn’t a thing in Bangalore yet. @culinariumindia having set up it’s branch in Bangalore, is doing a great job at answering our woes. Their coconut milk based vegan ice creams such as the Gingiberri pictured above us bound to impress. We hear that they have their own farm in Masinagudi where they source their ingredients, all organically grown.
Hidden gem in Cunningham road. Ooty restaurant moved to Bangalore city centre, inside a craft store. Best ice creams for salted caramel lovers and great marinera sorbet. Super nice staff too!
Very nice and good place to have deserts and I had lot of varieties..it was nice place and tasty ...For me cold coffee is very tasty .....Friendly Service, also very peaceful.
Hi I am Pratiksha,I had chicken pot pie it was excellent and very nice service ,I had salted caramel ice cream it is also very nice and fast service ...wow it's beautiful and very nice service.
Hi i am harish ,i had vegan ice cream it was very nice taste .And great service from kiran. And cappuccino is also very nice and best place to spend time. And i will refer to all my friends
I’ve known about the Culinarium from its counterpart in Ooty. I have always loved their croissants (the almond ones are my favourite )and quiches, pastries and pies. Their homemade ice cream is delicious too! I particularly like the salted caramel. I believe they now have vegan ice cream as well. It will always be, to me, the place that satiates my croissant cravings. They make them like no other.
I went there just for the vegan Ice cream. I ordered the chocolate one. It was alright, more of a Nice cream, banana-coconuty-ish. The americano was really good. My partner ordered the chicken pesto panini sandwich, and said that it was yumm (the panini itself is very delicious).
I also tried the roasted pumpkin soup, and they were sweet enough to completely veganise it for me.
Nice , quiet ambience and very very polite & courteous staff.
A quaint cafe, exceptional quality of deserts and short eats. Very good for pot pies and signature pastry dish which I recommend is Parisbreast!!!
Very much recommended to people who want to try vegan desserts considering the dearth of options for vegans. The pastry was good but it was the cheesecake that impressed me the most.
I had ordered the Pinacolada for my son's birthday and it was the best. A must try are the potpies, icecreams, peach Danish, eclair and more..
Love this place!! Their croissants are to die for, especially the chocolate almond croissants!!! They even have healthy options for sandwiches and Kiran at the counter is super helpful and friendly!!
Visited The culinarium today. It is a quaint cafe on Cunningham road that serves some smashing dishes and desserts to match.
I had read about the choice of vegan ice creams that they offer and was curious to find out. We started with some sumptuous soups and some salads. Both of which were extremely wholesome and tasty.
For the mains we ordered some sandwiches and pot pies. The sandwich was very well balanced with its flavours and the pot pie was very well received by my friends. The word associated with the pies was “comforting”. I do wish they introduce a vegan version.
The owner and the staff were very friendly and did a lot to take care of our dietary requirements.
They have a range of pastries and puffs that would pair up amazingly well with some coffee or tea on any given day.
Lastly the promised land of vegan ice creams. After having a taste of the multiple options I settled for Gingiberri (orange, ginger and beet) and another scoop of the chocolate luxe. I wouldn’t be able to justify it with words for now. The gingiberri is an indigenous concoction of flavours resulting in a smashing ice cream that leaves you wanting more. The chocolate luxe was also rich and almost felt like having a brownie with a twisted texture.
As a vegan, coming by ice creams and not sorbets is a hard task as of now, but The culinarium certainly takes care of that. I hope they do introduce more flavours of ice creams and mains suitable for vegans though.
This place is a favourite. The Culinarium offers some savoury and dessert. The vegan chocolate ice cream & salted caramel are just too good to be true. The service is top notch as well. Kudos to the team here.
The best pot pies and fish and chips in town. The ice creams are fantastic and they are one of the few places which make an excellent range of vegan dairy free ice creams. They have a good selection of high quality pastrie, croissants, and astisan breads. From the hot food menu the soups, pot pies, fish and chips and the Lasagne are mus trys. Excellent service and well located with ample parking available.
From Ketti to Bengaluru is the journey of The Culinarium. Anyone been to OOTY / KUNOOR and hasn’t visited this place has missed out on the mouth watering deserts & food. Thank God, “The Culinarium” has opened in Bengaluru.
A nice, quite & relaxing place. The Food, Deserts & Coffee is very different from other places in the city.
Food presentation is great & quantity is perfect.
Ambience is good, has seating inside & outside.
The Yogart ice creams here is to die for :-))))
Well priced place & a must visit place, anytime of the week or weekend.
Outstanding in terms of hospitality.
I wouldn’t want to write too much as it’s better for the people reading my review to visit this place & experience it.
Great to have this place in the city.
I first came to know about the culinarium in ketti and I am very happy to know that they have opened up a branch in Bangalore as well. We tried their quiche and mushroom croissants which is yumm, What you must definitely have are their ice creams. Two is which I would absolutely recommend are their salted caramel and their grand marnier ice creams which I always have when I am there. They do have some lovely desserts too which are nice. For desserts I would recommend the opera cake.
A really lovely little place on Cunningham Road. From the ambience to the staff everything is really lit and happy. They welcome you with a wide smile. Food is absolutely delicious, a must try. They've got regular and Vegan ice creams which I have recommended to every friend of mine to try.
Overall everyone should try this place for some quality and tasteful food.
This place serves one of the best ice creams! Apart from dairy ice creams they also have some delicious VEGAN ICE CREAMS!
Very cute & cozy place with friendly service. They also bake Vegan cakes for any occasion :D
Overall we had a great time!
You must try : Berry Swirl & Chocolate Vegan Ice cream. Cant wait to visit again :)
Lovely quiet haven within a heritage bungalow. Wonderfully made pastries and pies. Try their organic ice-creams too! Glad they have started home delivery as they have many delicious choices for a perfect meal.
The pot pie is a must try at this place and the vegan icecreams are damn good 👍🏽 ambience and service is super good 😎👌🏾 , friendly and socialable place , neat n tidy :) must visit the place
The most delicious treats and cosy vibes. Come here ready to indulge in your savory cravings! P.s they have some dope new ice cream as well!
I totally recommend this place for some amazing and absolutely delicious food, at truly reasonable prices. Very eclectic cuisine, and desserts to die for.
The first thing that strikes you when you enter Culinarium is the ambience. It's a beautiful place.Their Artisan ice creams are unique and the pot pies are to die for.
Tucked away behind Imperial Court in Cunningham Road and one of my best finds in terms of a nice place to have coffee and eat some yummy, good quality food.
Would recommend the Culinarium any day...their pot pies, croissants and home made ice creams in particular are to die for...it is obvious that a lot of care is put into their food and service.
Kiran who works at the cafe is friendly and welcoming...
Visit once and you will keep going back..foodie approved! :)
I've been to The Culinarium at Bangalore a few times now and I'm in love with their pot pies and ice-cream! The Culinarium is a small, cozy diner at Cunningham Road and perfect to just melt away for a few hours with a book or good company.
Their pot-pie's, salads and panini's are some of the best I have had in Bangalore and the desserts are a sweet deal too. Special mention of the icecream. The staff tells me that they make this in-house and my personal favorites are the Berry Swirl and Salted Caramel. Speaking of the staff, they are extremely nice, courteous and well-informed. A guy named Kiran always serves us when we visit and his recommendations are spot on. Highly recommend this place. Bon appetit!
My favourite haunt for ice creams and desserts. A must try is their Salted Caramel ice cream. Can never have enough of it.. the croissants and chocolate twists are fresh and delicious.. the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful and their recommendations are excellent. Please try it if you happen to be visiting Cunningham Road or are here for a business meeting..
Thus super cozy cafe is located right next to Hatworks Boulevard. I had a cappuccino and a grilled chicken sandwich here. Both were great. Also got to taste the yoghurt ice cream, which (interesting fact) contains alcohol as well. Perfect start to the day haha! :)
The main highlight though were the various kinds of breads and desserts that looked really tempting.
Also, the hospitality was amazing... Kudos to the people running this place! Overall, a great experience.
A smaller set up of the fabulous Culinarium in Connoor, this one in Hatworks Boulevard is more like a pattisiere. The savouries and desserts on offer are simply outstanding. My favorites here are Lamb curry puff, if you are a vegetarian them do try mushroom Croissant.
The Opera slice is yummy and so are most desserts. They are expert bakers hence all savory items are crispy and flaky. Totally recommend going here.
We were told that they will be introducing pot Pies (their specialty) and Ice creams in a few weeks.
Nice comfy place. Clean and bright.
Parking for 2 and 4 wheelers. available within Hatworks Boulevard's compound.
Accessibility: building is one step above ground level. Ramps in some entrances.
I would rate this as the best place for pastries cakes and light eats. Very very friendly place to sit, relax and indulge in something sweet and savoury.
The ambience of the place is pleasing . Opera slice was best!
Has a wide range of breads, salads quiches etc. Have to experience more!
Nice little cafe that took me a while to find. It's hidden away inside a craft store. They've got a pretty large menu of some interesting items so it was kind of hard to decide what to order. Finally decided to try a quiche and a chocolate pastry. Both were surprisingly tasty. Will definitely go back to try more
Fresh produce! And tasty food!
I first visiting in Ooty and i am in love with this place especially for Almond croissant. I highly recommend this cafe
The best at taste and best at ambience!! Amazing place♥️
