Saaga restaurant is a multi cuisine restaurant in hebbal area of Bangalore. Located right on the mainroad, the restaurant is suitable for families. Its always crowded during the weekends but weekdays rush is moderate. I went to this restaurant with my friend. The hospitality is good. We were welcomed and escorted to our tables by the hostess. We opted to go fir the bufdet lunch. It all started with a Cucumber based welcone drink followed by a Soup. For the main course, we had three curries, cirn pulao and butter rotis. Noodles and sweet n sour veg was also available. For desserts, there wasnt much interma of either quality nor quantity- Chocolate burfi, Banana cake, Cheese cake ( more of a rubber cake), Milk payasam Custard and Ice creams. Overall, the experience was decent. In my next visit hope they improve the quality of desserts.
Good ambiance and friendly waiters. The prawn Koliwada and Thai chicken is a must try. The seafood platter is also very good. The Fish was not fresh one time though
Amazing food.. good ambience and very well trained staff!! We ordered tomato soup, haraa bharaa kebab to start with, and both were nicely prepared.. the kebabs were the best I’d eaten in years.. for main course we had Veg kofta and Kulcha.. the kofta was delicious and the gravy tasted mind blowing.. kulcha was soft and good too..
Special shout to the serving staff who did a very good job 👏🏻
The manager who took our order was okay though..
Ambience is really nice and seating is comfortable!!
Overall a great outing.. and a nice dining experience!! Will
Visit again!!
Mangalore style food hotel , good food and calm ambience. Chicken and sea food starters are a must try. Screenings on any match day available.
Had been here for a lunch buffet. Although they serve both al-a-carte and buffet during lunch time. Ambience is good but the furniture are very old not that very comfortable to sit. Food speard is quite decent not that big fat spread but yes you can have good quantity. Quality and taste matters a lot which can be improved more.
Had been here for a buffet lunch. The buffet had a wide spread of cusines including continental.
The food was tasty and the desserts were yum. Total value for money.
The buffet here is really popular and lot of people visit in the afternoon for the same. Said so if you like to try something tasty, Sizzling Browne is my favourite.
Aaloo ke parathe, fried rice, lassi was very tasty... wanted to have more but was full. Great ambience and nice food. Service can be better.
Visited this place with family on a weekend. It was not much crowded.
Good Ambience.
Good Food.
Service is a bit slow.
Overall a good place to be.
This is a very decent place near hebbal flyover, the service is average and food is fine. I would like to see more vegetarian options available here being a Mangalorean cuisine.
I visited this place twice. Ambience is quite good. The main thing which I liked most is they are very quick in service. Food is quite tasty. But the price is little bit high. All over a nice place to visit
Me and my friends have been here only for Buffet. The food which we get here is truly delicious. The ambience is average. However the staffs on the other hand are very friendly.
This is very near to my home so whenever we want to have good north indian food, we end up here.
We have tried so many starters and main dishes, all are good.
Lunch buffet is pretty decent for the price they charge.
The food was good and it was served in quick time. The staff was courteous and know their menu well. Ambience is good. Good for multiple visits 👍.
We've been to this place many times. Below are imp points:
1) Food taste and quantity is good. Rates also towards lower side
2) They serve drinks too. I would say drinks are expensive considering the ambience and sitting areas
3) Service is not welcoming. They want you to empty the table quickly and are always in hurry to clear up the plates
4) Ambience is very average in comparison to other options in north bangalore
Overall a quick and not expensive place to have la carte north dinner without drinks.
been to this place for the first time, was planning go for the buffet but changed the mind and ordered some dish the taste was good, and the staff was alt friendly but the serving time taken is quite a lot and it made me really bored and upset. rest the ambience and the food was good.
I went here with my office colleagues. The interior quite simple. The restaurant is on first floor. We went for lunch buffet. The food was good with a small and simple menu. I found it expensive as compared to the dishes in the menu. In starters fish was good, in main course biryani and sea food dishes were good and in dessert moong dal halwa was nice.
Somehow having lived in close proximity, I've never visited this place in the last 10 years. And I must admit, it is a decent family restaurant. Cozy comfortable ambience and warm staff. We went with the staff recommended dish and it was truly yummy. Gonna go here for sure again.
One of the finest hotels in Bangalore. With airport being only half an hour to 45 mins from here, its suited in a great place too. Ambience is beautiful. Buffets are very reasonable as the items offered in buffet are amazing and lavish. Non vegetarians will love it as there is no difference in the rate between veg and non veg. Heard the fish is really good. Deserts are delicious. One of the finest places to visit . Usually packed on weekends but the service is quite fast.
One of the best sit down restaurants in and around hebbal
Reasonably priced for the quality of the food offered
Great amount of variety too
It's a delight to see that zomato gold has been switched to food from drinks
The Indian cuisine is most recommended
Always a good time here
A not so happening boutique bar with a not very wide range of food and alcohol available.I ended up thinking it was 2 plus 2 on drinks to only find out that they had recently moved from 2 plus 2 on drinks to one plus one on food. That was disappointing or else, Good food, Good cocktails,Awesome reception and seevice.
Ambiance is quiet good! Since it’s on the main road nobody gets to know there’s a hotel. Staff is friendly, and the buffet is good but quiet expensive. Sea food is really tasty here.
Had been there yesterday after a very long time. The service is really good and the food is even better. Chickens satay, kori roti and chicken gravy are must haves! The best thing for me was the pitcher of beer I got for myself 😊😊
The only problem is the lack of parking space. They have valet parking, but they don't park it in a basement. They just take it to the side-road and park it beside the footpath.
In terms of the food, I had the buffet. The food was properly cooked and tasted good too (I would have given five stars if the non-veg food didn't give me a bit of stomach discomfort). Desserts were just perfect. Loved it.
Although the restaurant is a bit cozy, it's a good, clean ambiance and the staff are very polite and helpful.
Edit : The quality of the place is gone down to a big extent after it has joined the Zomato Gold club.
This is by far the best restaurant in and around hebbal/rt nagar. Ive been here multiple times. They have unique dishes which I haven't had elsewhere. The food is fresh, tasty and well-presented. They even re-heat the food if you required. The staff are very courteous. The ambience is very soothing. One cannot miss the beautiful Buddha face statue in the ground floor.
A great restaurant located in Hebbal which covers a rich flavour of dishes for sophisticated palate. Let me take you on a tour and tell you about what you can expect from a promising eatery such as this one. Get overwhelmed by their Lungfung or Hot and Sour soup, probably one of the very few places to serve such fine soup. Must try their Chicken Saaga Kebab and evenly cooked from the inside Hariyali Tikka. I'm not a vegan but I can list out a few items my friends mentioned about. You can try their Paneer Kurkure Roll and Kumbh Khazana (Balls filled with mushroom and cheese). Biryani is a "must try dish" here, the chicken feels to be really tender. And don't ever walk out before tasting their Moong Dal Halwa. Oh! I'm already tripping. That's it from my side. Do visit this place with your family or friends.
Ambience: 3.5 stars
Staff: 4 stars
Food: 4.5 stars
Had come here to have dinner with my friends and family. The decor of this place is good and the ambience of this place is amazing. We had ordered for Cream of Mushroom soup, Threaded Panner, Chicken Malai tikka, Babycorn Amritsari for starters. Then we ordered for roti, Saag, Jeera rice, dal fry and dal makhni. The food was good and the staff was courteous. Overall it was a good experience.
Royal Senate Hotels have great restaurants and one of them is Saaga. You have to try their Tiger Prawns, it’s mouth watering and the best I’ve ever had. If you want to order something simple, you can go it their Khichdi, yes, it’s yummy too.
This place has a very good ambience and is located close to the main road. Nice interiors and helpful management.
Coming to the food
Starters:5/5
Main course:4.5/5
Deserts: 4/5
Quantity meets quality n its worth a visit.
A very decent place with good ‘ value for money ‘ Buffett ! The vegetarian as well as the non vegetarian starters are very good and the mains are pretty decent ! All in all .. a great place for lunch / dinner with the entire family ! The staff are attentive and courteous ! The dessert selection is nice ! The place is neatly maintained with clean rest rooms ! The restaurant section could use a bit of upgrade in terms of decor and ambience !
Always had a fantastic experience. Service is great and the food is veey good.
They have the best Belgian Dark Chocolate ice cream in the world. Add a dash if Vodka to it and its heavenly
A decent buffet given the price range. Went there for the lunch buffet. Very satisfied with the food, but slightly concerned about the level of hygiene maintained there (got a spoon which was dirty), but will not factor this into the rating because it might have been a stray incident. However, better care is expected.
Food: Expected widespread of buffet but the options were limited in comparison to other buffet offering restaurants. Desserts were not so great as well.
Ambience: Decent ambience not very great one
Service: courteous staff
I had been there for many times and from many years. It is nice place, food is very tasty with limited menus. Price is getting increased year on year, hope they keep it as per variety of menu
Nice ambiance where both family and friends can enjoy. Chicken mouglai was amazing and mouth watering, which is marinated in white sauce. Taste of food is very good. Both buffet and alakarte are good here. Yes, this restaurant is on the higher end. Staff are helpful and service is good
Place is a real value for money & Good food saaga specialises in Karavali a.k.a Coastal food .since , I am a veggie I haven’t tasted sea food but the people I brought here have always enjoyed sea food and Mutton dishes .
I always order Threaded Panner and Cauliflower dumplings (Gobi Manchurian) tastes consistent.
Ambience is good , They serve liqueur in the bar located at the G floor and Also in their fine dining resto located on the 1st floor .
If you are in and around Hebbal , RMV , Or Even VR. pura And Craving for some good sea food i suggest you to drop by .
This restaurant is located in a boutique hotel...

Normally been here for buffet. Recently had breakfast and the experience was nice. They have decent variety of southern and northern breakfast choices. The on table server can get you variety of dosa(not tht great), omelette( which was nice) and some chicken seekh kabab. In all, a fine experience.
Good place to eat...Clean...fast service...And hygiene...Good food choices..And nice Taste...quantity is good...
Do visit..👍🏽👍🏽

A very nice restaurant with very good menu. Food is awesome. My foreign clients love this place very much. Ambience is good, food is awesome, staff is very polite. A restaurant to visit again and again.
Nice ambience ... the hotel is located in first floor with ambient place .. coming to food we ordered chicken lollipop, mutton fry , panner and fish kebab everything was good and finally ended with brownie ... rate was little expensive but quality of food is nice
This is one of the nice buffet place in bangalore.. A classy hotel.. Buffet for lunch and a la carte for dinner.. Mangalorean style cuisine.. Ambience is great.. Buffet is economical and pleasant.. Overall, a sumptuous meal and good deal restaurant in Hebbal
Frequent visitor with friends and family. Ambience is great. We have tried Mangalorean cuisines. Choices are limited, but quality, quantity and taste are the ones that calling us back there.
Staff and service are also very good compared to other restaurants in the area.
One of my favourite places to have dinner. Lovely for friends and family,a very posh restaurant. The food is amazing and so is the quantity. Really like the hara bhara kebab and the chocolate sizzler 👌
I loved the buffet.Being a mangi, I was drawn to the fish. The buffet wasn't vast but the food was amazing.Definitely one of my favourite buffet places after barbeque nation and sigree global grill.Yumm is an understatement. And the rates are pretty easy on the pocket in comparison to the bigger buffet places.
A good place for team lunches and birthday parties, near to Manyata Tech Park. Have been there multiple times and tried their buffet as well à la carte. The price is little on higher side but the options given are good. Good service and ambience.
Food quality and taste was good, for a budget buffet.
rava fish fry, mutton gosht gravy was good. Ambience and service was also good.
Lacks variety.
Had tried their brunch buffet decent food spread...... good service!!!!!! Taste was okayishh..... overall a one time visit place.............
Good place for a family dinner , good service , visited atleast 4-5 times and recommend reserving a table as it gets quite busy. Food is simple and tasty.
Waiters don't respond well and food not too great!!
They serve it fast , the starters are great but not much variety in it. Main course pretty well too.
Courtesious staff, plenty of snacks and main course options.
Location is good. Ambiance okay-okay. I could get pitcher in just 250 rs. Due to some special offer. Overall good experience.

Hebbal is one of those areas I don't visit at all hence I'm clueless about the food scene here. However a visit to the area recently got me looking around for a breakfast joint when I zeroed in to the one closest to me which looked like they would serve a decent and quick breakfast.
The restaurant is quite unassuming located on the first floor and though I visited post 10.30 am they were accommodating and were able to serve a few breakfast dishes. The breakfast buffet is available till 10 am at a reasonable cost of Rs.250 per head inclusive of taxes.
Since it was just hubby and me, we ordered for Masala Cheese Omelette along with Chicken nuggets, Hash browns, fresh Pineapple juice and a black coffee for myself. The cheese omelette was pretty ordinary nothing special to mention. The nuggets tasted like the frozen ones one makes at home though I really did like their way of preparing hash browns. Pineapple juice and black coffee were as expected.
Do note, we did make the mistake of over ordering as their quantities are more than the usual.
Definitely one of the only restaurants within a 1km radius of the Baptist Hospital that's serves decent food.
Good food, definite try for North Indian food. My favorites at this place include thread Paneer, dal khichidi, green chilli veg. One of the best in hebbal for a good dining experience.
Went for a family dinner here with a party of 6. We were greeted nicely, had a good feeling as we were offered a best place to settle down. Food was awesome but service was much much better than other places .
Great ambience, good service and awesome dishes... Loved every dish tasted so far especially North Indian... Veg patiala is a must try dish...
Quite good food. Service was very good and staff was very courteous and keen to ensure your likes were taken care. Cool ambience and of course hardly any customers. But they attended very well
Good ambience, accessible location with valet parking facility. Buffet prices are reasonable but a la carte prices are slightly on higher side. Nice place for both family dinners and executive lunches.
I have frequently visited this place, had veg and non-veg food, but can't remember any particular food item to write about.
Ground floor has a bar table and seating arrangement. First floor has buffet and a la carte arrangements. They also have a party hall on top.
(Note: service charge is additional for a la carte)
Ambience : 4.5/5
Good food and good service. Since its a buffee we need to take ourselves and sundays are quite busy so there is rush....overall satisfied with the food and service.
Very nice hospitality and food was just awsome.food variety was fabulous.we have gone along with our family and the hospitality was marvellous
We were for lunch at saaga on a weekday. Buffet, for the price was very good. Don't expect big spread but all the items in the spread were really tasty. They serve soup and welcome drink on table. If you are with they serve most of it on table. (We were with two naughty kids) . Salads were perfect. Everything was fresh and hot. Chicken and veg starters in the buffet was very tasty. Overall good choice for limited buffet.
My family and i are regulars since eons. A La Carte and breakfast buffet is our preferred choices here. We tried last weekend the veg buffet. The price is a steal. We walked in at 12:15 and they were yet to start the buffet. The soup amd welcome drink is served at the table. The buffet is arranged well and nonvegetarians will feel lile they are at a feast :) The appams in addition to standard roti basket are a good touch. Desserts are too sweet for my liking. The only dish i did not like is the veg biryani, it was too dry. Rest everything was tasty. Variety and Quality of food is excellent for the price we paid.
This is 1st non veg resturant by shivsagar group
its my go to resturant
Ambience is good food is reasonably priced and you get alcohol too so if you like north indian cuisine and you are in vicinity then must try
The ambience is perfect.. The food is very delicious.. The buffet system is very good.. U get 3-4 types of non-veg starters and 2 types of non-veg rice.. There are around 40 different items available in the buffet.. The prices r reasonable..
Great taste and reasonable price for buffe. Authentic north indian taste and pleasent ambiance. Good for family. Liked the starters both veg and non veg

If you're are looking for a midrange buffet this is the place you want to try. Great interiors, spacious tasty 😋 buffet. Suggest to try Hawaiian salad and mutton kheema and good choices for vegans also. My only suggestion would be inform the customers about the service charges before the billing apart from GST
I been to this place many times , like 5-6 times may be and always on lunch time.
I would say this will be a change of taste to BBQ nation or absolute bbq if you are on bangalore.
Food: 3.5/5 , they keep changing their buffet menu. Tasty , pocket friendly.
Location: located on main bellary road , next to Baptist hospital.
Ambience: good theme not that great but for family lunch ok.
Drinks : they serve liquor too so you can order on top of buffet.
Over all 3.5/5 . If you want to eat good portion , want variety and want affordable place. You are on right place.
As this place is located in Hebbal, a very near by place which is well connected with the office areas.. Had gone there for a team lunch... The service was good and the options offered in buffet are tasty... The chat counter is just amazing. A worth trying place for all....
Nice ambience. The staffs very well trained. The food was really good it was very crowded even on the weekday. Both veg and nonveg tasted good. The sizzling brownie was the best part
Quite a basic place just to get a sumptuous meal nothing too great. Was recommended by a friend. The fish fry was good. The ambience a bit dull.
Marvellous place to visit with family. Service is prompt.
Prices are reasonable too ! The kumbh khazana ( stuffed mushrooms) is a must- try!
Good spread of dishes in buffet. It is much worth the price. Other dishes off the menu are also worth a try. Been here three times, the chicken dish in the buffet section did not go well with me.
Excellent restaurant. Food is amazing. Worth every rupee. Staff courteous. We liked the snacks as well as main course. Worth a visit with your family.
The place is good and we decided to have our team lunch there. They are famous for their reasonable buffet. I liked the variety but they had lesser options for the vegetarians. There is a lot of improvement which can be done in the menu. The place is spacious and a good choice to go ahead with colleagues and family. Services were really good and I had a good time with my team.
Had a family & friends get-together for about 50 people.
The Shiv Sagar/ Saaga brand name is such that the expectations are always high. The brothers have stitched together a very loyal and hard working team who follow their instructions and style of working.
Full marks to Saaga on every count like ambience, taste, service, variety, quantity and value for money.
Would have loved to give them 5/5 but then need keep them motivated to achieve that little extra.
Mr Shyam all your restaurants rock..!
Been here a couple of times with my colleagues. They have the buffet here for lunch which is good. The food is tasty and not too many items which is actually good. This is like the budget buffet in hebbal area esp for people who work at manyata. My colleagues tell me that the quality of food has remained the same over the years and that's why people rush in here. You always have a queue to enter this place. Service is not bad though not great. But good food makes it up!
This place includes limited no of items with good taste, that is the why many people like to go there. Personally, I have been here twice. On first visit, the Bindi Fry was excellent and on the second visit Fish curry was excellent. And moreover they don't maintain the same menu, they change it.. I am not sure how frequently they change.
Good Food will always be remembered ;)
I had been to this place 5 years back for a Team Lunch and Food was amazing and the service at the restaurant was impeccable, They always made sure we were well looked, Have recommended this place to few of my friends also. Will definitely visit this again
I liked the place quite a lot. 1. Perfect ambience fir team lunch, couple date, family gathering, friends hangouts etc. 2. Great taste 3.b other buffet and alakarte . Should try the triple schezwan rice veg, method mutter curry. Quality and quantity very well enough. The staff is very good. Always crowded which speaks about the class and taste here. Overall must visit place again. It's on the service road so no issues on parking as well.
Ambiance was superb.. A little cossy..too clse seating arrangment... A wide range of food... Food was good. Service was OK. A little higher rates. Good for People near Manyata for buffet.

I've been here a couple of times before and yesterday again for team lunch.
The pink milkshake was a welcome drink and a good way to start, had a tangy sweet taste.
There are 2 buffet options reasonably priced.
400+ taxes for just buffet
500+ taxes with a mug of beer/cocktail. Half of the team went for this and weren't happy as the beer seemed mixed with water for them.
The spread is minimal but nice enough for the price.
This time a new item "appam" was served. Went well with chicken gravy.
2 veg and non-veg starters each. Paneer roll was very nice.
MAIN course was okay. Biryani was nice but had too much spices. Dal makhni could've been better.
Desserts were okay too. Saffron ice cream with nuts was very nice!
It's rated 3.5 mainly for the cost effectiveness. The place gets packed, especially on Friday.
Good ambience. Visited the place during team dinner, for non veg lovers opt for platter, biryani was good. Highlight was sizzling brownie, it was delicious.
Nice restaurant...price worthy.... actually here u will get neerdosa....but sadly we didn't got it... anyway food was so tasty...u need to visit once...
Went for dinner.
This place is my personal favourite.
Amazing food and perfect ambience.
The neer dosa was the best. It's a special item which one can find only in Bangalore if I'm not wrong.
Definitely worth the visit. :)
Amazing food. .thread paneer, cheese mushroom ,chicken tikka and an array of great starters. .main course also is good and has an amazing rooftop party area..
Saaga.. Well, I sincerely wished that I'd be very happy after dining here, going by my previous experience from 3-4 years back. But sadly, this is a +1 in my list of restaurants that have aged like milk rather than like wine!
Ambiance of the beverages section is good for tipsy folks, with an adequately dim lighting and seating that is JUST comfortable. I didn't hear any music too.. Just the small TV next to the bar counter blabbing its way to glory.
Food was reasonably good - both ways - to the belly as well as the pocket.
Cocktails are tricky to comment on. Kamikhaze was very good but margarita sucked all the way to Spain!
Service is OK but the attitude of servers can be better.
It's not a huge place - so, seating is limited to 10-12 tables I believe.. This lounge is on the ground floor to the left as you enter The Royal Senate..
You wouldn't lose much if you don't visit this place. That being said, if you're around Hebbal and looking for a decent establishment to gulp down those pegs of whiskey/scotch or beer, I would recommend this place.
-Bon Appétit!

Great place for a casual dinner.. Food is good with tummy filling quantity.. rather exceeding..
Must try the Pot rice - flavorful and definitely tummy full.. Seafood soup too is very refreshing and lit's up the palate..
This is quite a popular joint keeping mind its proximity from RT Nagar and Hebbal both areas. Decent place with nice ambiance and decor. The only good sea food joint in this area. All my visits have been only for seafood crave and mangalorean food. You should try - chicken gassi, surmai rava fry, tandoori pomfret, chicken ghee roast , neer dosa, appam. Also north indian kebabs are nice specially the malai kebab.
Food - 4/5 , Ambience - 3.5/5 , Service - 3.5/5
Saaga-The Royal Senate is one of the decent restaurants around Hebbal area. It appears to be a popular one too as it was jam-packed on a Sunday evening.
With five people on our table we ordered quite a lot of food—a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes—and were quite pleased with how they turned out. The coastal cuisine—lady fish and seer fish—were authentic, while among vegetarian dishes kaaju kumbh badami topped the list.
The cocktails were average, while the service was very stressed.
Food: 4/5
Ambiance: 3.5/4
Service: 3/5
Been to this place for our team Lnch. Around manyata this is an option if you like buffet Lnch or dinner.Items are limited but very much pocket friendly.ambiance is OK.so if youvare searching for a buffet in a lesser price this is the place for You.
Went here for buffet lunch from office. Good ambience and descent food. Fish and mutton dishes were great. Main course was average. Staff behaviour was also descent.
Royale Senate located in Hebbal. Pretty nice ambiance. Food was Ok. They played some nice and pleasant music. Food Varieties were good. Great experience.
Nice ambience I must say and value for money, lot of variety available at the cost of just 500/-. I did not like the taste of Haryali Tikka kebab, however I liked chicken in hot garlic sauce, assorted fish cutlet sort of starter. Liked mutton in main course also they serve live appam and butter naan which is good. All over value for money in a area like Hebbal

Awesome! - is what I would describe my experience here from start to end.Part of the Royal Senate hotel, this is one of the better places in the Hebbal area for a dine-in.The outlet has 2 levels of dining with a soothing ambiance.
Perfect lighting, nice decor and comfortable couches make up for a pleasant experience.Went in on a weekend dinner and were quickly given a table as per our needs.Good variety on the menu both on the food and beverages. They had some special offers going on in the drinks section - more like a happy hours type !
Opted for a cocktail - "Cosmopolitan" which was a blend of Vodka, cranberry and lime giving it a nice bitter sweet taste and yes some much needed freshness. On the starters were - paneer tikka which can be described as soft, well seasoned and marinated giving it the nice tikka taste that is expected. On the non-veg starters was chicken lollypop and indeed it was a lollypop with perfect presentation, good crispiness on the outside and burst of flavour once you take the first bite.
Neer dosa and chicken sukka was next on the main course, the dosa's were true to its name and just melts in the mouth with its extremely thin texture. Chicken sukka is a dry dish more like a burji and it was yum ! Spiciness, taste, quantity and the chettinadu kind of flavor does tick all the boxes. Paneer Patiala was the veggie main course side and it was served in a kofta style presentation with a little tangy sweet flavour but definitely not overpowering at all. There were also some good complimentary accompaniments with papad, picklets, onions, chutneys, peanuts and ketchup lined up.
Service was impeccable, from giving us a table to the time taken for the food to be served - everything was perfect. No worries on parking as well with Valet available.Highly Recommended !
This restaurant is near to Mayanta Tech Park which you can consider for team lunch.
I went there for team lunch, a group of 15 people. The hospitality they offered was good.
The ambience of the restaurant was pretty decorative, with rangoli at the entrance and big chandler while entering in dining area.
We had already reserved a table and offered the large table for the group.
They started serving with welcome drink, which had not usual taste(couldn’t figure out exactly.) Then they served starters on the table, which had good taste for veg items, though non-veg people didn’t like the food at all. Main course was fine with less number of items overall, Desert was average with no variety.
The dining area where they have put main course and desert was very small, making it congested to accommodate a large group.
Food- 3/5
Ambience - 3.5/5
Price- 3/5
This is a place just before Baptist hospital on the service road when ur coming from hebbal flyover . The place is nice and quiet with a very helpful staff but I somehow prefer this place for its buffer rather than their ala carte however the non veg platter is quite nice ....
It's suitable for team lunch at Hebbal they have long table .We had buffet , place was overly crowded. Welcome drink was not that great , starters were good but limited . Reservation is highly recommended before going to this place . We really had fun ,group is good then fun will b around.
We were a group of 12 people..our lab seniors were giving us summer students a treat here..had a wonderful time!..the ambience is very pleasant and soothing..with warm toned overhead lamps..we had the buffet lunch..the restaurant was quite crowded and since we had prior reservation we didn't have to wait..there were ample veg and non veg dishes on the course as well as elaborate salad spread..i loved the iced lettuce salad..there were papri chat mix, chicken hariwali kebab, burnt garlic chicken, chilli mutton, chicken kopta,a mutton dish, chicken and muttonbiriyani on the non veg side..the veg side had chilli fingers,a well coated paneer kebab, many other veg curries,dal,sambar..there were noodles, pasta, fried rice, chilli veggies also..then there were an awful lot of sweets for desserts..mousses,jalebis,rabri,pastries!..i forgot to mention papad and two flavours of icecream!..we ate sooo much!..the buffet costs about 400+taxes as per the notice board!..food was quite good!..:-)
Apart from biryani (worst) everything tasted average, but when it was about to be 2.30 pm and around the staffs behavior changed, It looked like they wanted to send everyone out.
had been here for a family dinner couple of days back . The food here is nice . Tried the babycorn amritsari which sounded and tasted amazing . The paneer khasta , wasnt really khasta but was good on taste . The chicken lolipop cud be better for sure . Service is lousy , they behave as if they doing us a favor by giving menus or serving food . With better service , this restaurant can really do wonders in this area .
This was my 5th visit to this restaurant in the past couple of years. The food they serve is always good. We tried the veg platter for starters, it was yum. The ambiance is good too. Rating 4 stars as I think the service isn't up to the mark. Otherwise very good option for some yummy food.
PS: I just tried the Veg food as I'm not meat eater.
Went wit friends for lunch buffet , food was yummy n variety of options,. Starts n dessert was very good.. In Hebbel this is best restaurant I have been to.. Worth spending time n money,.

Was here as part of our team lunch from office and in a big group of over 30 people. The folks running the show here handled the chaotic crowd in a very nice and polite manner. Location is close to Manyata Tech Park and this place usually becomes a defacto choice when it comes to team lunch, and also the prices here are very economical!
Ambiance looks good in the first glance but small bits here and there aren't great, definitely needs some improvement.
We opted for the usual buffet and It started veg and non veg soup, non veg one was a chicken soup, more on spicier side. I saw our vegetarian folks adding lot of pepper, probably because it was bland?!
The welcome drink was a sweet, pink and slightly thick shake and had a milk b@ase.
Next was starters and main course, slightly less number of options but prepared decently. Chicken starter (forgot name) and Butter chicken is recommended from my end. Biryani was okayish, was slightly oily not sure why. Desserts had mousse, pastry and ice cream, phirni as options.
Overall, I felt the spread is functional, you get what you pay for and this makes it a VFM proposition.
Excellent breakfast. Hot dosas and omelettes are served as and when you want. I really enjoyed the place and the taste of their food.
The breakfast spread is quite filling and also reasonably priced. Only thing that this place needs is better advertising.
Had been for team lunch..though it was a Wednesday afternoon, the joint was well crowded...we were 10 in numbers..the ambiance is just very impressive..very refreshing..the chandeliers, miniature interior waterfall...stylishly built...
As we seated, we were served with chilled and tasty milkshake...it was a good antioxidant for scorching heat outside...loved it n kept me craving for more...
We started off with starters..salads, paneer manchurian, gobi manchurian, baby corn manchurian, aloo-jeera dry....hariyali kebab n more for non-veg..all were well prepared and tasty..with greenish mixed veggie salads..noodles..the chats..all good...a healthy starter ;)
Then the main course...for veggies..palak paneer, brinjal curry, dal tadaka...n for the meat-eaters...mutton chilli, chicken khurma..the by default ;) chicken biryani...
The palak paneer was less on salt n chilli powder..would have been perfect it were..
The rotis, kulchas, butter kulcha n appam were served in hot n tasty..
For desserts, there were slice concepts..shapely cut triangle piecesof watermelon, chocolate moose, separately available scoops of chocolate n butterscotch flavors, apple pie, gulab jamun, cham-cham..ohhh..my whole mouth watered listing out these dishes.. ;)
Now the Report card:
FOOD(VARIETY): 4/5

AMBIANCE:5/5(Awesome)

All-in-all..it was a wonderful lunch...bang for buck..will surely go back for more again :)
I have been visiting this place from the past 3-4 years and I have absolutely no complaints about any aspects...May it be the staff service, the manager being incharge, the valet service, and most importantly the food. They have a wide variety of food... The ghee rice and crazy are superb. Even the appams and gassi👌🏻 , mutton kheema, every dish is beautiful👌🏻😍 I've tried most of them and every dish is up to mark😊👌🏻 Days when We're too lazy, we just hop in there and they make sure to give Us a good meal👍🏻👌🏻 Hi5 to the service and staff kindness! 5/5 My point of view ✌🏻️ Cheers!
Located on the service road, has great infrastructure and ambience. The food options though limited, were very well made. The service is good eventhough the dishes were served late. Choice of the day - Chicken Tikka, Chkn Lollipop, Kori Roti.
I went to this place for a team lunch and we were about 16 people all together. The restaurant can be easily located and on the service road itself. They have a valet parking facility, finding a parking by your own at this place is tough.
I have heard a lot about the buffet of this place. The interior is good and they have long tables also, anticipating such big groups for team lunch and dinner. I liked the chairs and the ambiance. The place was overly crowded when we reached around 1:00 and reservation is highly recommended before going to this place.
The welcome drink which they gave was, I don't know what, not good for me. A very sharp and twisted .I quite did not like it (personally) I hope if they give a simple juice, would be better.
Then started with the starters, they had chicken kabab, fish, paneer tikka, baby corn and few salad items. They were good but I must say that the starters menu was very limited. I wish they have few more starters on the menu for vegetarians and on non-veg as well.
They have to defiantly improve on soups, I must say.
On the main course they had chicken and mutton biriyani, jeera rice, mutton rogan and few fish items from the non-veg menu. I quite liked the vegeterian side from the main course though. The dal makhni with rice and paneer was tasty.
From the desert, again, the options were very less. Two varieties of Ice-cream and few pastries. Gulab-Jamun was over and they took like 1/2 to come up with a replacement with other sweet item.
Price wise this is easy on your pocket and is a good buffet choice within the range of 500.
Overall rating :-

Pros: •Charming ambience for fine dining
•Lip smacking food(Loved everything we tried)
•Courteousness of the staff
•VFM
Cons: •Long wait for each course
•Flustered waiters who clearly have difficulty in handling a full house
•Few items on the menu weren't available
I have tried out their buffet as well which is equally good.
In conclusion, a must visit for quality food at a reasonable price.
The Sunday lunch buffet is everything you want on a Sunday. The staff will be ready to stuff you up with good food. Family restaurant. Must go!
Amazing food with an ambience so very relaxing!! Just love being at this place often. My favourite over here is their Russian salad and their Mutton biriyani!! Yummilicious!!
Excellent option for quality food, ambience and drinks. Service can be inconsistent on weekends for dinner as the restaurant runs full. Wait staff is cordial though. Prices are not most economical but it is one of the few good options for family dining around Hebbal.
The food was a good and the ambience was quite pleasing as well. What lacked in the buffet was more items in starters as well as main course . A nice place if you want to visit with family or colleagues as well.
Hi Friends,
This time for the team lunch with around 50 people. The ambience is at its best.
Coming to food, tired of saying being a veggie I will talk about veg food.
Starters corn tikki is awesome , other two were ok.
Chole was good, paneer curry and palaj paneer was decent with breads
Jeera rice, white rice with rasam was good.
And finally deserts ice cream, mouse cake, pastry, burfi, sweet was good.
Overall had an decent experience.
I am a regular visitor to this place. I love the food, ambience, service. This time I went with my family and was worth it. A special mention about the staff who were extremely helpful in managing my toddler. Normally I would rate 3.5, extra.5 is for the staff.
I had given treat out to my friends few months back..i guess in Dec'14 . This is one of the fine restaurants you have near to Manyata tech park. desert options are very few though...
Price = 9/10 , food = 8.5/10, ambience = 9/10
Nice place for team lunch
This is the place to be for every occasion. Be it a birthday party at the rooftop or a nice warm dinner. The Food is really good from the Chinese bhel to thread paneer to chilly chicken. YUM
One of the very understated restaurants which serves excellent food.
Very close to hebbal fly over and the baptist hospital stretch, they have excellent lunch buffet with a great spread.
Their a-la-carte selection for dinner is also very very nice.
When you order fresh fish ask for price upfront. When I went with some friends who ordered fresh pomfret it cost us a bomb. Apparently it was tasting very good though (I don't eat fish).
Gem of a place which is annexe of a hotel called Royal senate
A fine dining restaurant on the main highway road, wonderful find! The ambience is good, staff is polite. The food is excellent! The fried rice and noodles are good, as is the north indian fair. The caramel custard was wonderful!
Quite a good place. Went there late night. Place looks catchy in the interior. The food is good. Ambience is also good. I think it is a bit overpriced though. We went for ala carte. I have no idea about the buffet though. Personally I would suggest you to try fish Manchurian and lollipop chicken. Chicken fried rice is too good.
Pls do not order for hot and sour chicken soup!! It was really bad. Mushroom gravy which I ordered was just Ok.
Saaga has been one of our common team-lunch place from office before i even started food reviews. This was the only buffet place which was close to Manyata tech park. Now that the competition has increased after Lot of other places came up recently, this is not chosen much.
Still we went for quick team lunch 3 weeks back on a midday of the week. Place was not crowded, but was filled around 60% of the capacity.
Food is average except one or 2 items. Chicken Koliwada was a good starter & gulab jamun also was good among desserts. Remaining all are average. Not a great spread though.
Service was good & responsive enough to make sure that no dishes are empty any time.
They have maintained the taste. The food is good. Good quantity and value for money. Quick service and courteous waiters. Panner satay tastes good. A must try.
The ambience is nice. The food options are also good. The service is also very good and the taste of dishes are good. It is a bit costly not very costly though.
Had been here on 26th July for a lunch with my family. Had a great time. Food is really great with a wide range of non-veg buffet spread at a reasonable price. Only disappointment was the pepper chicken which was very dry and hard also the pepper flavour is very over powering, all other stuff are really tasty.
Also a staff member stands rite next to the table watching you eat the whole time which is a bit uncomfortable situation when u r having food and want to discuss something. The staff is friendly however should also look into privacy of the guests as well.
Overall my first visit here was satisfactory.
Food: 4/5

A great fine dine place with lot of options. A place to spend relaxed time with multi-cuisine food. A bit costlier, but have some dishes which are must try and cost effective.
Been there more than a few times and never disappointed me.
Good food
Good/Friendly staff
Reasonable price
Good location
Quite a few varieties
All in all never experienced any fuss service is smooth, quick and fair unlike some of the other restaurants I've visited.
I had been there for team lunch...Food is good! The cake was great!service is good... All in all ...a good place to hangout with family and also for corporate team lunch :)
Newly opened, has good ambience, for people who might not know it's one of the shiv Sagar restaurant, so the expectation with the food was very high, well I wasn't disappointed, in starters....paneer thread is something different and you can also try spinach machurian it's good if you like the taste of spinach ;)....for the main course we ordered two Curries and a dal which was good and then for dessert we ordered the famous sizzling brownie, expecting the same taste but this is one dish that disappointed me, the plate they use to heat is not right it burned the entire thing, even after getting it replaced it was the same. Try everything apart from the sizzl
very good ambiance ..taste of veg items are good ..veg/non veg biffet price is same..it was around 560
taste -3.5/5
ambiance -3.5/5
cleanliness -3.5/5
service -3.5/5
price -3/5
should you go ? yeah..
when we went there was some birthday lunch also some one did ...these guys played music and all..its pretty good looking place ...
but only problem is pricing...its bit expensive for a veg buffet..
yeah forgot to say veg/non veg spread was good enough...no complaints about that
Most of team outing/lunches takes place here.So you'll find the corporate crowd here often. It has nice ambiance, prior reservation is a must especially if it's a Friday evening. Have only tried their buffet, which I felt was good and was also fairly priced.
A very nice buffet at such low rates.. Been here for team lunches as well as with friends.. Love the food which is value for money.. Highly recommended..
I have been going to this place from 4 yrs best place love palak khichdi ....chicken lollypop ....mocktails
Best for hoog on LUNCH the buffet spread is crazy
Saaga at the Royal Senate is a quick & easy dinner fix for my family. Not to undermine the quality of food but it's just that this place is perhaps the only good dining option in and around Hebbal.
We've been going here for a while now and can order with our eyes closed. Some favorites include the Thread Paneer, Manchow soup, Crispy veg., Paneer tikka, Makhani dal, etc. They also serve some decent Indian Chinese and Italian.
Though over the years the service has slightly deteriorated and the place has gotten dearer on the pocket I would still recommend it, if you want to celebrate the small joys in life or just have a peaceful meal.
Also have heard a lot about their breakfast but have never had the opportunity to try it.
This was our second visit to Saaga! Our friends brought us to this place d first time and we thoroughly enjoyed the food! My nieces and I love to eat! Infact we belong to the clan 'live to eat!'. So this time we treated my nieces here! They loved it and r still talking about it! The ingredients were fresh! Presentation was appealing! And food tasted out of the world! We ordered crab sukka! The freshest crab I had ever eaten! Really appreciate the chefs n staff!!!
My husband’s cousin got us all together for lunch at Saaga last week.
It was the weekend lunch buffet which had numerous options in place along with a welcome drink. The veg spread was quite commendable with several starters in place. The soup was good and the paneer tikkis along with the baby corn Manchurian was done well. Chaat around the salad counter was tasty but the salads particularly were loaded with spices. For the mains, the Veg Biryani was good and so were almost all veg curries. The noodles were terribly spicy for everyone in my group. The Appams served at the table were excellent and went well with the veg korma. The dessert spread was decent with a right assortment of traditional Indian sweets and Bakery bits along with ice-cream and related condiments. I predominantly enjoyed the Ras Malai.
Pros: Extensive weekend buffet, most of the dishes are done well, staff is friendly, good décor, priced well, valet parking available
Cons: Spice levels can be kept minimal. Dessert spoons must be kept next to the desserts. We were lost searching for those.
Recommended – Weekend family meals, catch-up lunch with friends, birthday celebrations.
Other than Saaga, Bangalore North seriously runs short on good restaurants. Saaga has always offered some amazing delicious food. It retains the taste of the food, and continues to offer clean and good ambience since many days. Not dissapointed even once out of all the times I have dined here. Thumbs up to Saaga and hope it sustains its popularity.
I had been to this restaurant ba few days back with my family . We all enjoyed the food . I loved the cream of mushroom and wanton soups and also the fish kebabs. The Service was prompt and orderly . .
Ambience: 4/5
Music: 3/5
Service: 4/5
Food: 3.5/5
Price: 3.5/5
Just off the Hebbal flyover, before The Baptist Hospital, a really aesthetic entrance welcomes you into this restaurant that can go easily unnoticed with all the hustle bustle around.
Ambience wise, right on the money. The staff is really courteous. We were informed about their specials and the regulars too. But, maybe they could work on the speed of delivery. The food, not too good, not too bad. We'd ordered traditional North Indian Naan and kulchas. They were decent.
Music wise, they need to work on it. Pricing was moderate. For the ambience and the service, pricing seems just. For the food, I feel it could have been a li'l better.
Overall, pretty good place. Do check it out.
Have been to this place a couple of times and have always loved everything here from the food to the ambience.
The latest time i went was with a few of my friends on a weekday dinner. The biggest plus of this place is the convenient location right on bellary road. The ambience at the entrance and the restaurant on the whole is really good too.
The best part though has to be the amazing food. I think around hebbal and other sorrounding areas this has to have one of the best North Indian food. The spread is lavish and they also provide us with drinks which is a good positive.
The best food items on the menu has to be the saaga chicken and the dal fry.
To go with the delectable food and pleasant ambience the staff is so friendly that it makes the experience even more enjoyable. Certainly a place I would love to go again.
I wish i could give 100 * to this restaurant. My and my husbands all time favorite restaurant. Food is awesome, Taste is awesome, Service is fantastic, Ambiance is fantastic, Price is reasonable. perfect for couples, family, friends.
Good ambience. Better food. Even better service. Very convenient for business as well as family get together. A place that u can come with friends as well as family
Come here quite frequently..good variety of appetizers for Vegetarians...especially thread Paneer/Paneer Satay.
Good place for a dinner with family.
Sizzling brownie is a must try.
Summary: Affordable Lunch Buffet
Order : Lunch Buffet
Food (4/5) : There is reasonable variety available for the cost charged. welcome drink, 3+ vegetarian starters, fresh appams, Regular breads, 2-3 curry, rice items and about 5+ desserts. The starters especially are highly recommended since they tasted great. Have a light main course and then switch to desserts. :)
Ambience (3/5) : Regular dining ambience. Nothing much to comment.
Service (3/5) : The usual.
Value for Money (4/5) : Overall , good place for lunch. Mostly full on weekdays , so book tables.
Visit again : Yes
Had been here on compulsion.Team lunch, nothing can be more uneasy than dining with your colleagues in front of your monstrous Delivery Manager.Well buffet was great.Lot of varieties in starters, main course and desserts.Quite affordable as it costs hardly 400 per person.
A quick business lunch. Buffet spread was decent with ample vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. But then, there wasn't anything unique...starters and mains were a combination of Indian and Chinese (the Indian take on Chinese that is:-) The veg soup was average and salad spread minimal. The chilli chicken starter stood out. Desserts were not expansive but the desi sweets did not disappoint. It's a nice, clean place with polite staff. The lack of good eating joints in the area could also mean potential future visits.
Visited this place earlier this year for dinner and again for 2014 new year eve a-la-carte dinner. They were expecting crowd during new year and had a reduced menu with fewer but sufficient items.
The place has good ambience and courteous staff. They have valet service so parking shouldn't be an issue here. The service is quick and the items on the menu are decently priced. The food preparation is tasty as well, specially the starters.
They have a options in the menu between Chinese, North Indian and South Indian. I've tried only the veg dishes and they serve good portions too. I found the furniture a little funny as they're missing an arm rest on one side!
Overall a good place to dine out and I would surely visit again as its close to my residence and conveniently located.
Lunch buffet on weekdays is a steal at Saaga-Royal senate.
Buffet spread is quite wide with range of choice. Food taste is good & all this at an economical price of INR 450AI approx.
Suggest to book table in advance as this place is full throughout the week due to IT crowd from nearby Manyata Techpark.

Had been to this place last weekend . Ambiance and the food is really good . I tried mangalorian food and everything was near perfect . Staff and service is good and courteous ! I am going to visit this weekend again to try other items in the menu
Good ambiance, courteous staff, tasty mangalorean food. Need to go more to taste the other mangalorean and north indian dishes. Conveniently located with lot of parking (?) . the buffet also looked interesting.

Visited this place with my friend for dinner liked it...for the good food..ambience along with a great companion...definetly worth the price
After being told about the lunch buffet here for a very long time, we pinned down to this place for a lunch with my girl gang, and we werent disppointed.
We were served a welcome drink, which was OK.Good speard of options for the money.
I think they serve really good Veg options compared to non-veg, as One of my friend who is a die-hard Non-vegetarian was constantly appreciating veg options especially starters.
All starters were decent, nothing was disappointing, but mushroom was too good.
They served hot Appams, which was refreshing and good than usual Rotis and good veg stew. Usual desserts with a exception of anjur halwa which were good.
Ambience : Decent
Expensive - Moderate. Definitely good in the locality, worth the options served.
Staff - Decent
Valet Parking - Yes
Food - Taste may not linger in you memory for long, but decent food.
Overall Verdict - Decent restaurant with a good spread which wouldnt hurt your pocket much. Definitely good buffet in the locality.
Perfect place to visit with your family or friends on a sunday lunch probably.
I've been to Saaga a couple of times(dinner) and yes it is easily one of the good places to hit on the Bellary road. Getting to the place is absolutely effortless and valet makes things even easier. The ambiance is good and befitting a fine dining. Hospitality and service is decent. Food in general is pretty good i must say. I liked the crab soup. Chicken starters are good and the veg starters are better. Chicken Biryani was disappointing taste wise although the quality of meat was pretty good. I loved the Dal kichdi here. Desserts are good. Litchi basundi was jus mind blowing! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place on this side of the city and anyone looking to have quality seafood.
We went there yesterday for a family dinner.. we were searching for a good restaurant around Hebbal and this came out to b the only good option as there is a dearth of good restaurants there.. saaga is located in the 1st floor of the hotel which is nxt to baptist hospital. The ambience is very chic and nice. We got seated and were given the menu.. we ordered a lot.. some alcoholic drinks and starters like chili prawns, tandoori kebab platter and senate fish tikka.. accompaniments of roasted papad and peanuts were given too.. for main course we ordered assorted bread basket, veg biryani, keema dopyaza, murg kalimirch lasooni, prawn hariyali masala..the food is really good i must say.. portions were also quite generous and to top it all,the service was good too.. for desserts,we ordered kesar kulfi, sizzling brownie, some icecreams n caramel custard.. all were good.. bill came around 7.5ķ for 6 ppl and we drank a lot.. food is quite reasonable.. it is a good place to have team lunch and family dinner :)
I've been here twice. Once for a family get together and once for my birthday. Had a great time on both occasions. The food is absolutely brilliant. I especially enjoyed the butter chicken and the crab soup.
Awesome mangalorean food... Best part is the excellent service. Neat good ambience.
Overall superrr place to enjoy a good seafood meal......
Perfect place for the whole family, with wide choice in the menu and quick service ,plus the personal touch of the owner who always makes a point to visit your table.
All the vegetarian dishes what we had were perfect and not to forget the dessert which will surely make you come back again and again to this place!
Saga, located in Hebbal is the only decent place in North Bangalore to have some good non vegetarian food. The sea food delicacies are the speciality of this restaurant. But lately the service has gone down a bit, still taste wise it's the best. Great place for a family dinner.
We went with our team for Lunch.
There were not many options. But food quality was good. Service was very good.
The only thing I observed is that there were not many items in starters and also in deserts as compared to others.
Nice ambiance and good quality food.
Living in Bangalore North means lack of good restaurants and lounges! Saga, located on the first floor of the Royal Senate Hotel is located aptly on Bellary Road, easy to spot and offers terrific food!
Parking: 10/10 (Valet and street parking available too)
Price: 9/10 It offers fine dining so it's slightly on the higher side
Menu: Saga doesn't settle into any single cuisine category. It's a multi-cuisine restaurant and offers a lot of options.
Food: 9/10
This restaurant is one of my favourites in Blore North.. sometimes driving home from work I pop in and I've never regretted it. I like the spring roll and chicken tikka here. The spring rolls are always crispy, not burnt and the stuffing is lightly tossed in the right amount of spices, never oily either. The chicken tikka is tender, yet well marinated and very tasty. My dad loves the prawn curry and rice, cooked in the Mangalore style - must try here! The Neer Dosa is fantastic too. The Methi Mutter Pulav is super tasty and I highly recommend this for vegetarians. The only problem is it's slightly oily (hence the -50 in my review). When you place your order, do mention less oil - they oblige. The dal makhani is more like panch dal, with different kinds of beans and dals, and very tasty.. I've also tried the Dal Tadka, which is perfectly tempered with spices and chillies. The soups are absolutely delicious, not the ready to make or coloured variety that some restaurants serve. I've not tried the desserts here so cant comment.
Hospitality: The waiters and managers are very friendly. The owner also meets the customers and makes it a point to interact with the guests.
Ambience: Saga offers fine dining at affordable prices. The tables are wide and well laid out, the sofas and chairs are very comfortable. However there's no lift from the ground floor to the restaurant and I've given a -.50 for that.
All in all a really great restaurant. I don't think they deliver but a take out is also a good option. They pack food well.
Good variety of food including fish. . One of the best restaurants surrounding Hebbal
We went to Saaga for a team lunch along with visitors from US. We loved the experience overall. The buffet lunch spread by the restaurant was better than most similar places. It had nice starters and main course. I really liked Kundapur Mutton Curry which I felt was something unique that I hadn't tried before. Desserts was typical Indian affair but first time I saw a restaurant serving mango slices.
Visited this place for a team lunch last week. The place has a pretty decent ambiance, and although it was kinda empty when we arrived, it was jam packed within an hour. It is indeed a very good place when it comes to team lunches, considering the limited options around Manyata Tech Park. The food was good too, although the options a little limited. The thing which I liked was that they offered a welcome drink when we arrived, which was surprising as in other places the mocktails/drink are not a part of the buffet and you have to spend extra for the same.
The staff is very polite and friendly. Would recommend this place for people working in Manyata and around.

I went to Saga twice - both for lunch and dinner. The food quality is good, but the service needs lot of improvement. Actually they are trying hard to service well, so that is a good sign. The problem is only they have lack of training in service so too many people come to you and none is able to take back the message and execute it accurately. We just dropped in for a late night dinner and found the place to be quite good. To be on the safer side we stuck to the desi chinese which was quite good. The manchurian and the threaded panner, fried rice and chopsuey were all good. We also ordered some sol kadi which was spicy but soothing and quite close to authentic. So we asked around and found that the chef is ex-Gajalee which is a good Mumbai based costal food place, so next time you're here do try out the sea food, it might be good. Overall I like the decor and ambience, the service though I found to be a bit intrusive and overwhelming, the good part was when we paid the bill, the waiter asked for the valet parking slip and the car was ready, as we got out. Nice touch.
Went with friends last night to this place near our house. The ambience was decent and surprisingly, it was nearly full which indicated that it serves good food.
We ordered for our drinks followed by starters which comprised of 3 non-veg and veg dishes. We ordered for Crispy prawns which were fresh and just good in taste. The chicken pudina kabab was tender, juicy and very well marinated and the seer tawa fish fry was the usual stuff. The veg Money bags was amazingly good as well as the paneer crisps.
For the mains, we ordered for dal makhani, saag and chicken bhuna followed by biryani. The standout was the dal which was very well cooked and indeed excellent.
Saaga has perfect ambiance to go out with family!!
Frankly its À la carte menu is much more tastier & elaborate than buffet!
Reception lobby, restaurant , even rooms are pretty upmarket and very well maintained.
No problem for parking!!!
My ratings are
Ambiance 4.5/5
Starters 3/5
Main course 4/5
Desert 3/5
Recommended for families, specially for Dinner!!!
Lunch time restaurant is very crowded and noisy cause of team lunches..Avoid if you want a peace of mind!!!
One of the best restaurants towards RT nagar.
During lunch they have buffet and it's totally worth the monies. Huge spread of veg and non veg delicacies from local mangi food to Chinese. Serve is very prompt. Value for money option lunch. They start with a soup and welcome drink which is served at the table. Huge spread of salads and accompaniments. Normally there are two options of non veg and two veg meats normally are chicken, fish, panner and other veggies.
Then for mains they have assorted rotis, appam, neer dosa and biryani served along with two varieties of veg and non veg curries. They do serve Chinese food as well. Deserts are not thr strength. I normally skip it ????
I have dined here for dinners as well. The portions are big and decently priced. They do have a bar option as well. They do serve very good mangi food as the owner is mangalorean.
They have introduced buffet breakfast as well. Need to try the breakfast out.
Saaga is quite popular in our office(located in Manyata Tech park) for team outings, and we have had a buffet lunch at this place at least 5-6 times.
This week, one of our colleagues threw a party here. A team of fifty of us trooped in for the treat. We were served a welcome drink of orange fudge which was quite good. The chicken soup that arrived next was hot and refreshing. Next, we tasted the starters that included a chicken kebab, pepper chicken, a paneer malai kebab and some potato nuggets. The Paneer Malai Kebab was extraordinary while the rest were OK. In the main course, there was quite a wide course of items, both in the non-veg and the veg sections. I had the Chicken Shahi Korma, the Methi Malai Paneer and veg tawa masala accompanied by bread, and all the items went very well with the bread. I also tasted some rice with Kane gassi and the Biriyani, both of which were good. I had to skip a lot of the items in main course as I was too full by the time. I wrapped up my sumptuous meal with some pastries, kheer and icecream.
The restaurant has a decent ambience. The service is courteous and prompt. We spotted the owner collecting feedback from people at the end of the meal.
The buffet is priced at Rs 375 + Taxes, which comes to Rs 420 per head.
A minor complaint regarding the restaurant is that there is a space crunch in peak hours , and you tend to bump into people as you take food from the buffet spread.
Here are my ratings about the restaurant :
Ambience - 3.5/5
Service - 3.5/5
Food - 4/5
VFM - 4.5/5
Overall - 4/5
Given the wide variety of tasty items available at a very reasonable price, this is a place to be definitely recommended to people who are located near the North Bangalore area.
Have visited many times here. I would say it has right number of items and taste is not that great but not bad. Starters are good but only few dishes. Main course is good. I like appam with chicken curry. Fish will be really bad. Veg I have not tasted. Desserts are really good. Its a good buffet.
Always wanted Ram & Sham to provide a taste of Non-veg food.
Saaga is a lovely place to unwind.
Great food.
Too good ambience.
Incredible service.
I visited Saga for the team Lunch. The best part is the location, very close to Manyata. Prior booking is a must! It gets crowded even on a weekday. Buffet has a decent spread and even the food tastes good. Price is around Rs. 500. I believe any Manager/ Team would have this much budget to keep their staff happy! A best place for a team Lunch for all the people working at Manyata! You will never regret.
Being one of the easily accessable good restaurent near by Hebbal and Manyata Tech Park is the greatest advantage of this place.
I have tried their both lunch buffet and a la carte.
Been there with teammates for a team dinner. Ambiance is decent and it is located on the first floor of Royal Senate hotel.
We tried loads of varieties and everyone was happy with the taste. Chicken starters were awesome and biriyani was decent. I must admit their sizzling brownie with vanila icecream is one of the best I tasted.
But most of the items are over priced.
Buffet - was good but lacks varieties. Been there for a buffet lunch on a weekday but was disappointed as there were no prawns and upon enquiry, I understood they serve prawns only during weekends..
Soup in the buffet was the Best. I loved most of the items. For a change I tried all of the veg items and they were surprisingly awesome.
But pista and strawberry scoops in dessert section.?? rest of the desserts were ok ok..
Overall buffet is definetly value for money.
Location - 5/5
Ambiance - 4/5
Taste. - 4/5
Value for money - buffet 4.5/5, a la carte 2/5
good the ambience is very good and the staffs are friendly enough... buffet does not have great option to chose upon but they taste good... if you are a Gobi Manchurian fan then please try it here ... Its worth for 400 bucks
Are you looking for a decent lunch or a dinner with family or friends? Well you should try this place.
Firstly you have valet parking and that's a relief. The place has got a nice ambience, the first floor good for families and the ground floor for friends who want to catch up on a drink or two.
I have been here a few times and the buffet spread is worth your money. The starters which included roasted prawns were just brilliant; the tandoor paneer and chicken were great too. Their welcome drink was to die for. But the Biryani and the curry they had was pretty average, but you won't complain.
Àla carte has a good number of choices and priced a bit high. But sure tastes good, except the mushroom curry dish I had (I don't remember the name), it was very average. The desert lacks options but the one on the menu we tried were great.
The service is certainly good. They treat their customers well even when the restaurant is crowded during peak times like the new years eve.
Overall a good place to go for an occasional lunch or a dinner.
I've visited Saaga twice and have been impressed by the food both the times. It's pretty close to Manyata tech park and for ppl working there, it should be on their "to eat" destinations.
Last time I went there, we were in a group of 6. We ordered mostly veg food. The starters were roasted chilli chicken, shakahari veg platter. Both were very good. The mushrooms in the platter were outstanding and we regretted not ordering that separately. for main course, we ordered Panner Lababdar tikka, Veg patiala and methi malai matar with a roti basket and veg biryani. Rumali roti in the basket was not cooked properly and we sent it back. The lachha paratha and the kulcha was very good. Biryani was also decent. Veg patiala is a perparation of vegetables wrapped in a papad and cooked in a mild spicy gravy. It was a innovative dish and we was the favourite of everone. Panner dish was good and rich, like we expected it to be. Methi malai matar was good too.
They also have a chinese menu which i would definitely wanna try in my next visit. We ended up packing triple schezwan rice (chicken) for a family member who got a little late and went home instead. He loved it. the overall bill was a little less than 2k. Totally paisa vasool place. Looking forward to my next trip to Bangalore and trying out more stuff.
An excellent restaurant! I went there with two of my friends for a Sunday brunch. We ordered the non-vegetarian buffet. First to pass through our hungry lips (we had not eaten breakfast well) was the Pinacolada. The chicken lung fung soup was good but not that much. We then attacked the buffet table. Everything was excellent. The Chicken Lasooni Kebab was very tasty-but it had bones in it (Saaga management-are you there?) . My choice of winner was the prawns. It was very very tasty. Desserts were excellent. I had multiple helpings of all of them.
Will I return? Definitely!
Saaga is the restaurant located at the Royal Senate Hotel in Hebbal. My office being in Manyata Tech Park and with not many options nearby, this was the obvious choice for a team lunch. The ratings here by fellow foodies dampened my expectations. We had our reservation for 25 people and were seating immediately. The welcome drink and the soup are served on the table and the rest need to be picked off the buffet. So here was the veggie menu for the day :
Welcome Drink :
Coke
Soup :
Clear Veg Soup - Excellent as it was loaded with veggies.. just the way I like it.
Veg starters :
Panner Chilly - Good
Crispy Baby Corn(dont recollect the name) - Spicy batter fried.. went well with the green and sweet chutney
Falhari Tikka - Barbecued fruits.. different and nice.
Salad counters - 4-5 salad platters made of sprouts, veggies.. all the healthy stuff
Papdi Chaat - Decent
Main Course(Dont recollect the names..):
Paneer Gravy with minced paneer - Dint try
Mirch Salan with veggies - Great
Pepper based baby corn gravy - Tad spicy for my taste. The pepper was overpowering everything else
Dal Tadka - Yumm.. could clearly taste the ghee in it
Jeera Rice - Good
Schezwan Noodles with Veggies in Hunan Gravy - Well made
And all this to be had with rotis or appams. Appams got me excited.. and I was hoping to see a stew to go along with it which was missing. Nevertheless, it was fluffy and went well with the curries.Apart from these, there was curd rice, sambar, rasam etc which I had no place in my tummy to try!
Desserts:
Custard with Jelly and whole lot of fruits - Good
Gulab Jamun - Good
Rasgulla - Decent
Payasam -- Dint try
Mousse with black currant crush, kiwi and cream - Bad
Pastries and two varieties of icecream
The veg buffet is decently priced for the amount of food served. Most of my colleagues gave extra points to the veg spread and dint find the non veg food that great. Saw many reviews stating disappointment probably coz of the same reason. Never faced any issue of commotion or the buffet spread not being refilled. Probably , my lucky day there... and I would like to rate it a clear 3.5/5!
Good Ambience...
Good Food as well..
Value for money...
Well, this is one of the ONLY good buffet options near the Manyata Embassy Business Park and hence this place gets busy with diners generally from this park. I have been to this place umpteen times (over 10 times) with collegues, friends and family and i have come out beeming almost all the time! The veg and non veg options are elaborate and the desserts too are adequate. They have a good bar menu too! Apart from buffet, they serve Chinese, Thai, Mangalorean and Tandoori fare as ala-carte options. They also seem to have a breakfast buffet which i have not yet tried. Overall - value for money and decent service!
I visited this place yes'day along with my family.. B'day celebration (27/05/2013)
Likes:
Ambience
Promimity to my place
Decent food variety (Chicken ghee roast was not at all upto the mark, from what i had had earlier)
Courteous & pleasing staff
Cocktails + snacks - good
Pricing was OK
Dislikes/ things to improve:
Late Service: we had to really wait for our starters & main course, which was a pain
Good Ambience ... Nice place to hang out with the Fly....
Having been a regular at Saaga, I have seen how the restaurant has grown over time. Once a quite place now hosts a huge crowd for buffet lunches. So a booking is a must. Sadly the food has become more expensive which the variety and taste is still the same. the buffet is very common with not so exciting spread. I would suggest this place for dinner though. the lighting is warm so is the service.
good variety of food. good service as well.A good place for family and nice ambience
Good food. I ve been several times. Food freaks have fun both veg n non.
So nice place for dinner very peaceful calm.. Good staff and service and food was amazing.. Chicken platter, pot rice, sizzling brownie all were very tasty.
Good place for family dinner, Good food, Good staffs, Good service thx to Mr. MD Mohammad ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The ambience is good, The restaurant is well designed. food I guess varies from item to item....
The manchow soup was not great but the saaga special was.
Some dishes on the tandoori platter was decent and some not so.
car parking is in the adjacent lane which is not actually a parking.
Overall it's not too good it's a little above the average hotels as some boutique factors are visible.
Had good experience with tasty and delicious food and mainly service from Mr.captain MD is excellent
Very nice food good for family members
Excellent Food. Its our regular dining spot for family.Nevertheless in terms of ambience it needs a refurbishment.Service is just okay but it's value for what you paid.Food stands out.
Celebrated a birthday party at terrace recently. Great experience and lovely food. The entire event was managed by a person called Sagar. Very supportive and helpful.
Thank you Saagar for the wonderful food and arrangements.
Lunch service was very slow. They take lotta time to serve the food. Taste was good as always.
Best place with reasonable expense for buffet. Buffet had a very good variety of food both in veg and nonveg also dessert. Taste was good. Service was good. Ambience was good. Since there is quite a lot space to occupy many people nice place to take big gang.
Good food and pleasant ambience. Courteous staff. One of the better fine dines around the area. A good place to go if you're looking to go out with family or for team outings and want to avoid cafe and pub sort of places.
