For those who love lamb kebabs for a very reasonable price
Located to the inner side of indiranagar
Visted by few
None leaves without saying that the food was kickass
If you will look at the service and the seating it will not be appealing at all
But the food is good

Good food at reasonable cost. Had  Non Veg Combo -Sish tawook kebabs, Turkish Doner and Chicken salad which was a medium meal for two but the taste and quality was more than what one could ask for. Go for it   if you want to try out doners and kebabs..

This is our common joint for our everyday lunch. The food is just perfect and the staff is also very co-operative. It's a small and simple joint where you can hang out with your friends for your lunch. The veg. sandwich, paneer roll, falafel roll, all are great. If there would be more options in the vegetarian section then it would be just awesome. I heard the non - veg food is also good over here(got the review from my non-veg eating friends.)

Great value for money outlet for doners if you like med food. Reminded me of college days where we are hungry and try to eat everything on the menu. We were a group of 6 and we did eat everything on the menu. Quantity average, aĺl chicken and lamb items were great and we were fully satisfied with the food. Looking forward to going there again.

Place is small and but cramped if full.

As goes the saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover!" This place looks like a very small eatery, but the food they serve you leaves you with a paradigm shift! Just don't go for the rice items. . .

Go for the "All in one" dish, you will be pleasantly surprised . .

Food - 4.5/5

Ambiance -  3/5

They make pretty good turkish food.A small place for dine in  so many a times it is full.So do a takeaway or home delivery. Try their Shish Tawook, doners or their chicken wings which are my personal favourite. If you are health conscious you can try their chicken salad. You have other wide range of options and some nice combos too.
Only negative point is they take a hell lot of time to serve.

If you want to give a twist to your taste buds ...vist this place for some doners... felt like a modified version of our chicken roll.  Small place to hangout... Best for takeaways.  Dont expect a great siting place .....they struggle to keep people seated here... but an urge of taste bud to have some turkish food will bring you here...

Eaten at this place and though it's a tiny space, I do like their food. Rather authentic, flavourful and mildly spiced their doner kebabs are good. Visit for their non veg items especially

If you have had a real Istanbul doner outside India, this is the place you should really try once. A mouth watering, delicious doner that will make you yearn to eat more. The taste is lost somehow if delivered home. Sit there and cherish each bite of it. A better bread can make this even more amazing!

Nice food and good for at least one time.. Though not enough space to sit n eat.. They do have decent spread and get you stuff in quick time.. Not very sure for veg eaters as I tried only non veg... Rolls are different than traditional ones..

I strongly suggest you order and not dine in. My usual order is chicken doner and mutton roll. Its tasty and consistent so I have ordered more than once. Their hummus is not good and I am convinced that they add bananas to it. I don't know why, but I'm telling you they do.

Thought to try a different cuisine and my friend happens to refer me this place. The place is small as they had modified the kitchen and made it more compact. They can accommodate around 10 inside and couple of table placed outside to. Coming to the food, wanted to try the Turkish drink aka Ayran(like lassi) instead of sugar it was made with chilies with gave a nice kick to the drink along with the Istanbul platter which we ordered. The food was really tasty and filling. Worth the price.

Good food, ok ambience, slightly pricy. A very sassta byblos
Ambience: Not their selling point
Price: I'd say its a little above its value price, they'd be better off becoming a takeaway/stand and eat joint and knocking 30 bucks off the price
Food: First advice, if it's doners, take the chicken. their style of cooking makes the lamb rubbery, but turns the chicken melt in the mouth soft. The tahini is excellent, like a cross between a yogurt dip and garlic mayo.
Hummus and pita bread is good too. Waiting to try the Istanbuli delight as the special bread looked very appetizing.
For anybody who wants quick food on 100 ft road and isnt in the mood for Chakkum Chukkum, THIS is your destination

A small restaurant tucked away in Indiranagar, with awesome food.
The food was abaolutely tasty . we ordered the Kebab and a sort of a sandwitch type with soft shawarma like roti. It was very tasty.
Full marks for the food.
I am giving only 3.5 because their toilet was not good, and there was no wash area.

I tried their Chicken Combo, which has salad, 3 tawook and donor. The donor is really great and this place is known for that. Tawook is a kebab is delicous especially with the sauces they provide. Salad has too much of cucumber in it. The drink Ayron is just kinda like buttermilk. This place is not that great for sit down dinner types, maybe you should go for delivery or takeaway.

Hidden in one of the bylanes near indiranagar BDA Complex, its a small cozy place. The outdoor seating is practically on the road :p Its been awhile since i been there, loved their mix platter. The shish tawook with the Mayo and the chilly sauce! Excellent. I also like their Doners. Really nice and different from the usual fare. Nice staff. Good value for money.

Aaaaand another review based purely on food and nothing else; my favourite kind!
This place is something special alright. I happened to get some take away doners from here against the backdrop of the typical Bangalorean rainy canvas and the combination was something of a treat.
The pita bread they use for their rolls literally melts in the mouth and screams of freshness. We tried out an assortment of four different doners containing both chicken and lamb and I have zero complaints with all. Perfectly seasoned meat neither undercooked nor tough and hummus to compliment it all like a charm.
Really looking forward to going back and trying their appetizers and kababs soon.
The only con about this place is that for the kind of ambience they portray you tend to expect alot more pocket friendly prices but I guess the taste does compensate for that. =]

We were in indiranagar looking for a place that wouldn't be too heavy on our pockets and came across Istanbul doner. A very small cozy place with a decent ambience. We ordered the mixed doner and some ayran which was a Turkish drink made of curd and spices. The doner came fifteen minutes later and as we took the first bite it was the most heavenly experience ever. This delicious mix of lamb and chicken shredded with an amazing sauce and cucumber stuffed in pita bread was I can say the best thing I've had to eat during my two day Bangalore trip. If you are in indiranagar and deciding on which pub to hit please make sure you try this place out first. They also home deliver and is perfectly priced.

A good small place for some quick bites. !!
Istanbul Doner is a place where we drop in when we are not in mood for chapatti curry or any meals for a regular office day lunch.

My orders are limited to veg combo or some veg roll or Grill prawns roll. (rest everything is meat.) .  Their combos are good.  Veg combo is with some French fries, 3 falafels, choice of veg roll and a small (in fact very small) portion of rice. Falafel is good (not exceptional though),  Rolls and sauces are also tasty.  My colleagues are also happy with their doners and meat combos.

Their seafood menu is very limited and out of it I have never seen them serving tuna.
Service is quick and the staffs are untrained but not bad.  The place is small, can accommodate max 10-12.    It’s more of a fast food or take away place with some good foood...

Over all it’s a sure place to try out . But cautious if you are really hungry, can’t guarantee whether their potions are gonna fill u up.

Love this place, partly because its right next to my place. Almost everything on the menu is good, except the chicken or lamb grill with rice, the meat portion is little. They could have more prices of that n maybe give a little gravy by the side too. Other than that issue all else good. Do try the chicken or lamb combo if u r feeling a bit too hungry, good complete meal for 200rs for one person.

Stumbled onto this place this weekend while looking for parking near mtr . Wifey insisted on trying out the doner kabab after a bout of nostalgia (from our turkish food experiences in the US) and we ended up having the special doner roll - chicken and were pleasantly surprised. The hummus was tasty and the chicken was cooked well. The price was a little on the higher side for the size and ambience . Worth a try though!!

This place is a hidden gem. Wonder why they don't market themselves. They are probably the only affordable Turkish diner in the Indiranagar vicinity. They have amazing doners. Nothing fancy, this place is usually empty. They need to market themselves desperately.

For some funny reason, I have always been procrastinating about reviewing this place. Well, better late than never! How clichéd am I eh?? Lemme not make this review just about this eatery, let me actually take you to "Istanbul" along with me.. :) The word "Istanbul" splashes you with colors of blue and white and azure. Immediately you are teleported to the busy streets of Istanbul selling all kinds of bric a brac, the little blue evil eyes staring at you from the shops, those blue evil eyes strung on a long vertical line, the sweet aroma of baked breads and the ever famous "lokum" at sale at practically every other shop. "Lokum" is rightly known as "Turkish delight" and is such a treat to sink your teeth into. Well, you can sink teeth and crunch it too.. 2 varieties of it you see. The doners are everywhere, kids have it, millenials have it, the aged have it..its like a cultural thing rather than just a dish..And Then you see the "BOSPHORUS", ooh..what a sight I say... well, with such a beautiful experience to memory, I had happily barged into "Istanbul doner". BUT WAIT!!

"Istanbul doner" was little, claustrophobic and had not one "Turkishy" thing about it. To beat all of that, I see only "Indians" and I think.. "ohhh man..this is either gonna be bad or just ok, but it's not gonna be good from any angle..whether acute or obtuse :( " Prejudice really forms such an integral part of human nature, but sometimes being judgemental actually does more harm than good. My first impression of this place was, I wanna go somewhere else. This wasn't even the "I" of Istanbul, but as destiny had it..I went in here, and I keep going back and back and back from the past 2 years.

Everything on the list is just pure delicious, just that it's a little too less, almost miserly, but with great taste comes sacrifice...and we do need to sacrifice a little more money in the form of a second helping. It isn't as authentic as "Turkish cuisine" is supposed to be, but does a very very very great job. The "Special Chicken Salad" is a must try. The doners, well all of them are yummy. The shish tawooks are again good, you could try the shish tawook platter which gives one one sampling of all the shish tawooks that they have. The falafel roll are again good, but I've had better ones in alot of places around bangalore.

You mustn't step outta this place without tasting the "Ayran" a turkish counterpart to the khari lassi. All in all, for a small sum you gt to sample a little of Turkey in that 4 table place. I wouldn't say "Welcome to Istanbul", but just close your eyes and relish that first bite, you will know what Istanbul is all about. ♥♥

A nice small place and indeed small bang behind the airtel office - hardly 4 can be seated in and as stated, it is obviously outdoor seating.

The doners are good and would recommend to go to the authentic taste and not to spice it up for the Indian taste-buds as the low-spice flavour really soothes. Best not to visit this place after having something spicy.

Went there on 1/6/2014. When we walked in at 12.30 p.m. the place was entirely empty and that gave us some pause. The restaurant is small, typical hole in the wall. It could use a thorough cleaning and sprucing up but judging by the lack of traffic I guess it's understandable.

If you ask me, it's a real gem in the rough. We ordered hummus, pita and the yogurt/ cucumber dip. The pita was fresh and the hummus divine. The yogurt dip was alright (more like home made cucumber raita).

We ordered a couple of extra pitas and they were promptly delivered. We ordered the shish tawook (chicken) in a pita and chicken doners (the special which comes with hummus and fries inside the doner). All the rolls came with fresh shredded lettuce and tomatoes and a dressing.

We had some lemon iced tea to wash it down. Food experience was pretty good. Other marginal stuff, they could do a lot better. Definitely going back in there (again and again). Docking a few points for not getting asked if we wanted water etc, lack of presentation. I was hoping to score some baklava but there wasn't any (hint!!!). The service was attentive. Overall damage about 700 which is wasn't bad in my view for a meal of this caliber. Typical awesome hole in the wall experience!!

Food- quite like their donors. Have tried the chicken donor and the chicken donor with the French fries inside, dont remember what they call it. The chicken donor tastes v good but more filling would be better. The one with the fries is bad as the fries completely takeover the taste.

They also serve a drink caller ayran which is basically buttermilk with a lot of green chilies. It tastes good.

The Kababs are average to good.

Overall a place which is definitely worth trying

8 out of 10 times you are going to miss this place because of its placement, but once you have found the way to this place you are sure to find your way back - assuming that you are a fan of the Shavarma (cheese, mayonese chicken combos)

They have this Donear Salad that is my favorite. You get Shavarma at many places and you are sure going to like this one here. For a Shavarma the price may be a bit higher at rs.100/- but you sure are gonna enjoy the place.

There are other things like chicken on the stick which is very good. More things on the menu will be trying next time.

I must say that the home delivery is really quick; they just took 15 minutes to deliver 6 items to my doorstep. The only negative is that all the items tasted alike. Nevertheless, the chicken sheesh tawook is heaps better than the chicken donor, which wasnt as good. Overall, a must visit. You cant miss this!

Istanbul Donner is a small restaurant that can satisfy your big appetite! there is not much for ambience but that's not what should take u here... it's the lip locking tasty and fresh food.

We started with an Aryan and chicken Donner.
Aryan is a Turkish yogurt based drink.,Think of it as a spicy lassi. The Chicken Donner was well made stuffed with fresh vegetables, juicy sauces and well grilled chicken.
Next was the grilled chicken breast
Chicken was again well made. The salad that accompanied it was fresh and tasty. Usually i skip the salads that accompany the dish but this had to be an exception.
The last on our order was a Turkish pizza.
This was plan out of curiosity and we were happy that we decided to try this one. What you get is a pizza base made out of Pita bread base and some generous amount of cheese , veggies and chicken.

The pita bread that accompanied our donner and was the base of pizza was freshly made. Something I have never had in any of the other joints. The dishes here are a great VFM and are priced right. Top it up with a quick service you get a great experience when on a budget. Highly recommended

I have tried the Chicken skewers and chicken wings, bth of which are great. The chicken is soft and well-cooked, served with a light dip and spicy sauce.

this little offbeat place is simple and small. the food is beautiful, tasty and fresh. truly unique turkish food that is not found anywhere else in bangalore. much of it is cooked by the owner herself. this restaurant has the best freshly made pita that is soft and tasty unlike other arabian restaurants that usually by their pita bread in packets. definately a must visit if you are in indira nagar anytime.

One of those places that surprise you in every possible way and has you mesmerized!

Update:
Things seem to have changed. The coziness lost and there is a TV and everything. To add to my disappointment, there were customers playing loud music, which the staff didn't think wasn't appropriate. The starters were served after the meal and the waiters really don't know what's on the menu.
The taste of food has considerably gone bad and the service too.

The menu seemed really impressive and the prices were attractive as well. I didn't want to overspend as I did the previous week at (http://www.zomato.com/bangalore/touche-diner-indiranagar) so I chose to visit this place.

It was a Friday evening and they didn't have any customers. An eat out in Indiranagar and no customers on a Friday evening came as a real surprise and I started doubting on my decision. By that time I was pretty much at the door steps of Istanbul. I was thinking of going elsewhere but the lady greeted with a very warm smile and the pictures (of the items they serve) on the walls told me to give this place a shot.

I was with a vegetarian friend so we were going to order both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes.

Ambiance : Very simple, elegant, hygienic. Nothing flashy - you would feel sitting in one of those side walk restaurants of Europe. So you get a good feeling that you are dining out at a nice "different" kind of a place. +1 on hygiene and style.

Hospitality : The owner, a lady from Kerala really was well versed about their preparations. She came to us, explained about a few preparations and their specialties and was very open in customizing the menu as per our taste. So +1 on hospitality.

Menu : 85% is ofcourse meat and fish. 15% of the menu items have options for veggies and they all are worth trying. The Falafal is AWESOME - very well cooked, low oil, Pita bread is the softest one I have ever had in Bangalore and the sauce and salad were really fresh. And yes, the hummus - you got to try this. The hummus was pretty original as well. They also serve a very good curd based drink which closely resembles butter milk but is more richer. The owner lived in middle east and hence she often does cooking herself and specially the marination is all hers. So you are certainly in safe and authentic hands.

They serve something called Doner which is their specialty. Closely resembles Shuvarma but is far ahead in terms of superiority of taste and "after-eat feel good factor". I also had lamb chops. They were also very well cooked. The spices were just the right ones. They indeed served a turkish kind of lamb chop and not regular moghul or lucknowi or hyderabadi style. The lambchops had very subtle touch of spices and the meat was fresh. So over all a very good experience, didnt feel really heavy at all after having the doner and chops (accompanied with french fries and salad as well). Doner here is far better than the shawerma in Empire or elsewhere. Its very munchy and aptly juice unlike what they serve at Empire.

Oh yes, on French Fries, they were good as well. Unlike the MacD or KFC fries which turn soggy after they get cold, the ones which were served at Istanbul were crispy and low in oil.

I would highly recommend this place. Bill for 2 was just 590 - inclusive of the drinks.
