A very good restaurant which serves best Punjabi food especially paneer tikka and aaloo kulcha are the best. Stuffed kulcha and tandoori mushroom tikka which is newly introduced is a good combination to have which tasted heavenly, it was well cooked and served piping hot, staff's are very friendly. I recommend everyone to give this place a visit and I'm sure you'll love it.

If U Want To Have Punjabi Food Go Anywhere But If U Want to Have “Asli Punjabi” Food Then Come To This “Punjabi Veg Restaurant” Which Is Just Opp. To Udupi Krishna & Next To Prakash Telecom (Near Vijaya lakshmi Theatre) ...

U Can Call It A Holy Place For Northindian Dishes. We Had Amritsari Naan, Chilly Kulcha, Methi Parata, Butter Tawa Chapati, Dal Maharani & Jeera Rice . Every Dish Was Very Tasty But Their “Jeera Rice” Was Just “OUT OF THIS WORLD” .

Mr. Aman Sood Insisted Us To Try Their Famous Lassi Since We Had Heavy Dinner & Didn't Have Enough Space We Settled For Buttermilk Which Was Very Tasty …. Will Definitely Visit Again To Try Their Special Dishes And Must Say That This Is The Place To Experience Pure Punjabi Taste

After lot of walking at BVK Iyengar road (near Majestic Area) to purchase some items, it was almost 1-1:15pm and I felt very hungry.. As Chikpet- Balepet area has many eateries, stopped at one of the cloth shops and asked the owner if any North Indian place serving veg food was available.. He suggested this Punjabi restaurant.. with the directions I got, it took me another ~10min to find the restaurant entrance.. Entrance is small for this restaurant ( I actually missed it first time and then noticed Name board). Entrance leads to narrow staircase which then opens to a hall where food is served. When I saw the menu, felt there were lot of good choices as they serve Punjabi and Jain food. Finally, after lot of confusion in seeing so many items in menu card :) , decided to have Amritsari Shahi Thaali (Rs.350/-) as I was very hungry.. Generally, I dont spend this much on a lunch, it had been almost a year since I had Punjabi food, so decided to have this Thaali otherwise it would be just a normal "meals" lunch at Udupi or Darshini restaurant when going out for buying items. There were only 2 other tables that were occupied other than mine out of 9 or 10 tables.. Food was made and served in 10min which I felt was less time, as making stuffed Kulcha and Paratha takes bit of time. The Amritsari Kulcha was surprisingly kept wrapped in a foil to retain the heat(good idea) while Lachcha Paratha was just kept on the Thaali ( it could have been served hot as well)..Thaali also has Rajma chawal(mixed) in a cup, Dhal Maakhni, Bindi sabji, Palak Kofta, 1 glass of Lassi and 1 Gulab Jamun. All 3 Sabji had nice mix of flavors and tasted good - Dhal Maakhni was great, Palak Kofta was good. Rajma Chawal was a little spicy for me but the glass of thick super Lassi cooled my tummy :) Felt Bindi sabji was okay, instead of it, if Punjabi chole were given for Amritsari Thaali, it would have been super combination. All items were more than sufficient for 1 person when it comes to quantityp.. Saying this as after eating Amritsari Parata and stuffed Kulcha with sabji felt nearly full.. Somehow managed to complete Chaawal, lassi and sweet ;) Heard from the owner that Restaurant was started in 1994. After finishing lunch, turned and saw all tables were occupied! It was almost 2-2:15. Go for any of the big Thaali only if you have the apetite to match :) else seriously suggest only to try separate items as food is rich in taste. Handwash area is separate, neatly maintained. Payment is accepted via cash, UPI, card. Parking - you wont get parking for both 2 or 4 wheeler on this busy street, better to park at "Kempegowda Maharaja Parking Complex".. much safer and reasonable charges. By walk, it will probably take 10-15min from the parking complex to this restaurant and your apetite will be ready for thaali meal :) If you like North Indian food especially Punjabi food, come with enough space to enjoy and eat good Punjabi food. Next time if I have to visit this area, will try Jain food at this restaurant. Landmark: If you see ICICI bank Chikpet branch on this street, you are on the correct street.. You can find this Punjabi restaurant diagonally opposite to another restaurant - "U D" ( which has big name board).

Visited this place after a long wait! Wanted to Try one of the Thalis and mostly Maharaja Thali as it's not mentioned in the menu but is quite famous. Maharaja Thali - you need atleast 4 people to finish this or else do not order and waste it, ofcourse they'll parcel the leftovers with some extra charge. The video I've added speaks for itself of the dishes given in it. Gobi Manchurian- can be made better and tastier, it was okayish Patiala Lassi - very tasty Rice dishes - Jeera rice and flavoured rice was okayish and not so tasty, maybe cos the type of rice used here is not suitable for it. Would be better if that can be changed and made more tastier. Gravies - all were very tasty Roti basket - 5 types of rotis, all were good! Overall a good restaurant to visit and experience good food if you're around chikpete or balepete. Will have to visit again to try out their a la carte menu!

One of the oldest Punjabi restaurants in Chickpete, I wanted to visit this place to try their special Maharaja Meal that serves 4 people. Recently I visited and tried It was really good. I liked Amritsari stuffed Kulcha, special veg biriyani, dryfruit lassi and Jamon very much in this thali. There were many items and every item was really good. All the 4 people were really full after we finished the thali. In the Thali 1.25L of dryfruit lassi, masala papad and a starter is also included. As there were many people they took some time to serve but the staff was really good and friendly. The place is very small and there is no place for parking near this. Please find a nearby place.

Went here to tick one from my bookmarks. Visited on a weekday for dinner, we got a table easily and the staff were very courteous and came often to ask if we needed anything! Took the masala papad first, the taste was good, felt papad was too crunchy. Then got mushroom pepper dry, this was ok! Got paneer Nawabi and veg punjabi for gravies, took kulcha and chur chur naan for breads, both were good. Liked the paneer gravy the most, chur chur naan was good too. Overall service was excellent, it wasn’t too crowded as it was a weekday but it was almost full. Prices are a little high but worth the taste. Must visit if you’re around here!

A good place with good Punjabi food.. after the hectic shopping in chickpet, one must visit this place.. only thing is , it is in first floor with more steep steps which an old person cannot find it easy. We took maharaja thali which we couldn't complete. So took it as parcel to home.

Guys, this place is a must visit! You can try their amazing Authentic rotis, kulchas, and stuffed kulchas. The food here is just amazing 🤩, it’s a 100% vegetarian restaurant, the variety of Rajasthani dishes here is just 🔥. If you are a group of 3 or 4 and you are willing to share the food. It’s better to take the Maharaja Thali priced at ₹900/- it’s more than enough for 3-4 people. And the variety of dishes u get in the Thali is just huge! U get a 2.75L dry fruit lassi, imagine the quantity 😱. Pls do visit this place… I highly recommend it… taste is amazing and the quality is top notch!

If u have cravings for good variety of parata then this is th place ! Try stuffed parata Amritsari parata And garlic naan ! These are the best we tried ! We opted for amritsari thali which was around 350 ₹ ! ( Amritsari kulcha , lacha parata , rajma rice , lassi , 1 gulab jamoon , bhindi , dal makhni ) It was worth it! Two PPL can eat in one also we had baby corn Manchurian which was too good ! It's a normal place not so posh n all ! But good taste !

This place has an old school vibe. They serve punjabi food as the name states. They have quite the variety of breads and curries. I visited and tried out their maharaja thali which was quite enough for 4 people easily. If you have small eaters it could be enough for 5 folks. They also provide a big glass of lassi as well and tasted good. Coming to food I would rate 8/10 one or two dishes could be improved though.

Come here only for authentic north Indian food! A very generic eatery with no fancy ambience. Even though it's on a busy street, you may face issues to locate it, better ask any shops nearby and people would guide you. They are famous for thali and lassi and you can definitely try other Punjabi preparations too. Service is fast since usually it's not very crowded.

If you’re around Chickpete market and craving for authentic Punjabi Veg food, do visit this place for a delicious spread. Located on the busy Chickpete Road, just opposite Udupi restaurant, though has very small seating capacity but the food is top notch. We tried: ✔️ Veg Manchurian ✔️ Dal Makhani - Must try ✔️ Haldi Ki Sabzi - Unique, can try once ✔️ Aloo Gobi Ki Sabzi - Must try ✔️ Chur Chur Naan - Must try ✔️ Garlic Naan - Must try ✔️ Rice Phirni ✔️ Dry fruits loaded Sweet Lassi - Must must try Overall we had a great experience. Do visit if you’re around and fond of dining in a dhaba kind of setup.

Felt it was worth the hype. Yes owner's attitude is not what everyone likes. But he did answer politely to us and continuosly followed up with staff to make order quick. Prices are not low at all. But the amount of quantity, quality and taste.... It's ok! Sometimes it's in our minds that small restaurants in congested areas like this shouldn't charge high. Tried Punjabi paneer (it was spicy) but liked it! Good amount of paneer and cashews. Could have been lighter on pockets. But it's ok to try once. Also don't have too much expectations which cannot be fulfilled at all.
