The Mississippi Mud Pies... buy it by the kilo :). Want to try other things but always end up with the mud pie that how good they are. Always the comfort dessert you need.
Super duper awesome tasty mudpie.. mudpie here is to die for.. you would miss out if u don't try the desserts here.. browie and other chocolates are also very tasty.. but the best is the mudpie
The most amazing dish here is the Mudpie! They have delicious ice cream cakes, marble cakes and brownies as well. Chicken croissant is very good but too oily. Tiny bakery with fun food!
When you were a child, perhaps you saw pie in the cartoons. It looked good and tasted great but only in your mind. Then you came to painted platters and had their beef mince pie and realised dreams are capable of coming true but only of the pie variety because let's face it the rest of your life is crap. Just abandon everything and spend your life trying to make pies this good. Maybe it'll make you feel less empty.
I am a true fan of mud pie and red velvet cup cake from painted platters !! It's my everyday stop over from work and even the breads are worth trying .. Finally a great place to get a quick bite !!!
The chocolate/ Mississippi Mud pie is out of this world. It's 90 Bucks and totally worth it! My friend and I went after a lunch at Watson's because we were craving for something sweet and then the lovely woman at the counter suggested we try the chocolate mud pie, and so we did! Best choice ever!
So the mud pie is kept in the cooler and taken out when asked for, drizzled with some nuts and some beautiful chocolate. We asked for a hint of extra chocolate and she didn't hesitate and gave us a generous spoon full of chocolate with a bright smile on her face.
I highly recommend this place, even though this was my first time and I only tried the mud pie. But I will be back for more :D
Cheers!
Favourite place for dessert for many years now.
Their Mississippi mudpie is divine.
And so it their chocolate Charlotte. Plus it's very pocket friendly.
Mississippi Mudpie must try :)
Best desserts you can get at this price anywhere is Bangalore ☺ Joe and Tina have done an amazing job with this place.. Marinated meats, pies, breads and some incredible desserts!
Mississippi mud pie and the chocolate cake are worth every calorie ☺ best chocolate I've had in Bangalore.
Alert: Do not miss out this tiny store tucked in the basement else you are missing quite a few gourmet foods. To start off try their mississippi mud pie (an ice cream cake) available as cake also on prior notice. My personal choice is alhambra which is prepared only on prior notice (you do not find this in the store but expect to eat the best cake of your life). Apart from these they have other breads and donuts which are available.

I remember going to Painted Platters, wayyyyy back in time, when they had their outlet in CMH Road. If I think now, we only had ice cream parlours like Corner House etc, so it was a little ahead of it's times concept, in the sense that this was a dessert only cafe and I fondly remember their various frozen creations on this cool chocolate powdered platter. Guess they closed shop at some point.
It was nice to see them reopen again and I went to check, how version-2 was.
Platters is now a little store selling cakes, bakes, frozen treats and also frozen ready to cook savories.
There is no place to eat there as such, so take-away is the only option. I ordered a red velvette 'desseat', chocolate danish and a cheese bread.
The red velvette was a tad buttery, but it had just the right amount of sweet. Quite tasty and peer inside the empty cup for a fun message! The danish, I thought was a little dry, but microwaving it for a jiffy, did the trick .
I really liked the cute heart shaped cheese bread, the most. It went very well with the pasta dinner that night.
They also have a pull-out garlic bread, which looks interesting.
It's really nice to see these small enterprises start up and serve something unusual.
Overall - 7.5
The food at this place is really good. Though wanted to try Strudels as well, but was unlucky as it wasn't possible to get them home delivered.
The chicken pie and the Do It Yourself chicken Ravioli tasted really well. The chicken croissant was a pleasant surprise as well.
I got the order home delivered, and it wasn't a pleasant experience at all as it took 2 hours to get the order to me. Would suggest you visit the place to enjoy the food.
Management should review the delivery area with online food ordering websites, as I was asked to pay more than a 100 bucks for delivery (though they kindly waived it off at the last moment when I hesitated paying the same).
All in all, a must visit place to taste their sumptuous dishes !!
Yummy is all i can say :D
