New Prashanth Hotel - Naati Style is the best place to head to try out some amazing & lip smacking Naati dishes like Mudde, Koli Saaru, Meals, Boti, Mutton dishes & other Chicken dishes.
This outlet is been there from couple of years. Today I got the time to vist. Outlet is pretty huge & have a very good number of seating capacity. I got placed easily.
I tried
• Chicken Fry - Tender chicken tossed in Red Chilli paste & served. Very good combination with Biryani Rice.
• Chicken Biryani - Naati style Biryani served with 4-5 country chicken piece. Biryani was served with Raita & Mirchi gravy where both were really good.
Overall
I had very good experience dining at New Prashanth Hotel.

Homely food like Ragi Balls, nati kolli sambhar and others. But cost wise it’s to high for normal people otherwise it’s nice. Tasty and yummy food.
All time favorite combo. Ragi balls and mutton chops and this place takes the cake for the best Ragi ball. Soft and no rice mixed. Try it the next time you’re in Jayanagar.

Great place for naati style non veg lovers!! With awesome food and quick service.raagi mudhe's are the best here very soft and nice and the gravy which dey provide is authentic just the way it should be,biryaniii, chilli chicken, keema balls are awesome!!!
Bliss for local gowdru style food fans
Ambience: decent , nothing to write home about
Service : not very quick which you would expect for a resto of this style
Food : mind blowing , we had a mutton raan which was decent , but their mutton curry , biryani was great . I even liked the ragi mudde which I usually hate in other places .
Value for money : definitely pricey for their portion sizes
Overall : go if you miss this style of food , a tad pricey but worth a shot
This was one of the best biriyanis. We ordered nati style, and curry. Everything was tasty. It's a bang for the buck. I would definitely suggest you to try it here.
Omg never knew about this place until recently and ive been here already twice in a week . Their mudde n nati chicken curry is the best . Love the chilli chicken n biryani too!!! One of my fav places for good lunch .

Food is good with south Karnataka and Andhra taste. You can easily go for ragi ball or nati chicken items. Biryanis here are not tht good. Ambiance is average and service is decent. This place is for those who like proper local Karnataka and Andhra taste and want to visit with family.
It was a long time crqving to visit this place. Me and my frinds hopped in to this place a fine afternoon. I have been to many eateries, have eaten different type of biriyanis untill now. But nothing tastes like nati style biriyani.
Additional information:
This type of biriyani is served in almost all Kannada-style eateries. The rice is steamed with green chillies and a few whole spices such as clove, cinnamon, bay leaves. The nati koli(country chicken) is used in this biriyani. The food here is served on banana leaf. Interestingly they don't use the long basmati rice to cook this variety of biriyani. Instead, they use the jeera samba rice or sona masuri.
We ordered,
1). Nati chicken biriyani
2). Nati chicken fry.
Both tasted really good with right amount of spices.
Mudde(ragi ball) with sherva tasted amazing. The waiters were friendly and served well. The place is huge and was tidy. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Food: 5/5
Ambience:4.5/5
Service:4.5/5
Ragi mudde was the best and I have never eaten such soft muddes before
Mutton masal was good
Biryani was average
In terms of pricing I think we can also try Ranganna military hotel
Which is more tasty.
The food is simply amazing. Flavours are simple and tastes divine. We ordered a nati koli biryani, chicken biryani and mutton fry. All the three were awesome, the meat perfectly cooked. Great place for Non veg lovers.
This is one of those places that you should visit just for the Food..
Don't expect great ambience and so on.
Very reasonable... Soft ragi ball with Andhra chicken curries and fish fry..
Perfect nati style..
Just go there for the delicious nati Food
Went here for lunch. Tried raggi ball, chilly chicken, chicken biryani, kothambari chicken. Well it tasted very nice. Ambiance is decent. Tidy place. Quick service. Definitely worth going here.

There are multiple restaurants of the same name but if I am not wrong, this is the one which had an outlet on the first floor of the building adjacent to Roti Ghar on Gandhi bazaar main road. Nevertheless, me and a friend of mine who is also very fond of the Gowdru style Biryani went here on a week day for dinner. When we went in, almost the entire place was empty and we could sit wherever we want! At one go, i guess about 100-120 people could be accommodated and I feel that the waiting time for a table during peak hours will not be more than 10-15 mins.
The authentic Karnataka country style food is available only in Chicken and Mutton. Seafood is something I would suggest be avoided and for vegetarians, this is the wrong place for you all!
Chicken Biryani - Here it is served in a steel vessel instead of a donne (made out of arecanut palm leaves)which is used to serve the biryani at restaurants serving this cuisine. The quantity is more than enough for one person and the number of chicken pieces, taste, flavor are spot on which make it a must order and also worth the price!
Pudina Chicken - Loads of pudina in this dish which adds to the flavor of the chicken. The pieces are quite chunky and meaty.
Kheema Ball - If I remember there were 4 kheema balls which were slightly bigger than small. The gravy was thick tasted really good. Plain rice would the best accompaniment for this but it can be had with Biryani also.
People who swear by this cuisine should definitely try out this place and it is worth it!
Best Karnataka style country style restaurant.. Ragi ball is soft and egg curry combo is amazing.. being an vegetarian the veg food is also equally good .. lunch here is satisfying and economical.
This place is located in jayanagar, not to be confused with the place in gandhibazar. Place looks good for family, simple ambience, non-veg lovers delight. I ordered chicken biryani, boti fry, ragi mudde and chilly chicken. Biriyani was just ok, not to the level of other military hotels. Ragi mudde and chilly chicken was the highlight. . Service was good. Surely will come here again😁
You don't go to place like this for the ambience or service or a very exhaustive menu. You go to places like this to get the real taste of Karnataka. The ragi ball is the softest in town and the combination of that with some chilly chicken makes my mouth water all the time. Must try the ragi ball, chilly chicken and the Donne Biriani. Get ready to wait for a seat when you are here in the afternoon. One of the best natti foods in town.
Very nice place located in Very prime location ambience is really good very clean..it serves all authentic Karnataka food ragi ball keema ball methi chicken r some of must try items..biryani is not good here!!
Awesome food quality and great service. Non veg especially mutton n Ragi mudde ultimate 👌 should try Ragi Mudde , n Mutton gravy food is just delicious n Divine 😊👏
This is one of the old places still standing tall holding its own. Located in gandhi bazar this eatery still attracts quite a lot of people. Went here for the lunch. The ambience is sort of ok kind. Tried the ragi balls, mutton chops and nati chicken. Taste was good slightly above average. Only thing is you wouldnt sit around relaxing and eating here. Just finish ur food, pay and leave😆
My wife packed food for me. The best you should taste here is the rahi balls and the rasa.
Also ordered M biriyani and other starters which were decent enough. Please don't parcel from this place the taste just dies off
In the last few months I have been to this place quite a few times. Initially I was overwhelmed with the taste of Mudde that's served here. One of the many places in Jayanagar where you need to go if you like Ragi Mudde. The consistency with which this dish is prepared is fascinating. You feel that if this is being done in a machine. Served with their trademark Seruva this dish is the Rockstar of their menu, everything else just follows.
The other dishes are sort of alright and compliments Ragi Mudde but could be better. The prices are not too high but you will find seats all the time.
Over my next few visits I tried different items on the menu and nothing is as good as their Ragi Mudde.
If you are in Jayanagar and are looking to eat Ragi Mudde this is the place I would recommend.
It is situated right above the Cafe Coffee Day!
One of my goto places for Biryani and chicken sides! Quality and quantity is good! Dishes are priced reasonably! Service is satisfactory.
We went there for lunch on a Saturday. Heard earlier that this place is very good for Mudde (Raagi ball) n traditional Biriyani. Located very near to the Jayanagar bus stand. Ambience is decent. Interior works going on. Menu card was not veggie friendly. Never mind if you're a non vegetarian :) We started with Mudde. They provided some Curry for Mudde. Must be chicken. Trust me, the combination was so excellent. The taste of the duo is still there in my taste buds! Then we ordered Chicken Biriyani, Guntur chicken n pepper chicken. The service was lightning fast. All of them were served in less than five minutes. They looked fresh n hot. I still wonder how could they serve in such short time. All of them were good. To give it a finishing touch, again we ordered a Mudde. Perfect lunch I would say! Surely would visit again. Strongly recommended if you love traditional South Indian Non veg dishes.
I had been to this place many times earlier and visited this again after a long gap to find out things are changed in terms of food taste. The taste of the biryani, lamb chops and ckn 65 was good. Renovation is in progress. The service was little slow which they need to improve.
Tucked in Jayanagar 4th floor above coffee day near the bus stand, is another authentic Karnataka style of food. The chicken biryani both the naati style and the normal is brilliant. Appropriately spiced the biryani is wonderful with well cooked chicken. The starters such as the chicken 65, chilli chicken packs the right punch. Ambiance is mediocre, but who cares when the food is great. Service is very prompt.

Very good spicy south Indian Food, All the local style blended properly to fulfill the hunger. A typical restaurant who can enjoy food than ambiance. The Prices are friendly. Worth a visit.
Though I am from north India, this place has got me addicted to Karnataka style food. Been here so many times but I never fail to order raagi mudda and chicken biryani. Unlike many other restaurants they don't add rice to mudda. Almost all the chicken items are good. Don't go here for ambience , nothing much is there but if you want to have awesome food without spending much, then this place heaven.
This place serves one of the best Karnataka style mouth watering biryanis. The place welcomes you with the awesome smell of biryani and makes you hungry even more.the place is neat and clean and there are separate sections for family and regulars.here chicken or
mutton biryani is a must and you can order variety of starters.chilly chicken is a must here.they give mouth watering curry
for the biryani and it's absolutely delecious.the quantity is just enough to fill your tummy and at the end of the meal you will be satisfied.if you are a fan of spicy food or biryani this is the place to go and you will not be disappointed!!!
Clearly the best biryani I have had till date :) good food, good place.
if anybody is looking for authentic karnataka style of biryani here is the place New prashanth hotel located near jayanagar 4th block coffee Day .. one of the best biryani in the city ... curry and raita served with biryani was awasum... ... ambiance is not up to the mark bust must vist place...
Good home style kind off food..!!
I never thought the biryani here is AWESOME . When my sister says let's go to prashanth , I argue with her and end up not going there . But once when I tried here , I am just living it . Craving for their biryani every now and then . But the crowd isn't that great . Better to take away ????
I was a regular visitor here but has recently fallen out of my list of places to eat as the food is too spicy at times and I was cheated once. The food is generally good but spicy. The mutton keema is a bit tasteless. The lemon chicken is very good and so is the mutton biriyani. The quantities here are small and expensive. I was pissed off when once I had ordered a mutton fry for take away and there were a few chicken pieces in it. I stopped eating here after this incident. That's cheating.
Biryani is just fantastic
Maybe this place for biryani of course will feature in the top 10 places serving the same in Bangalore
Great spot if you're a biriyani enthusiast. They serve their special ' Donne' biriyani in regular and ' naati' chicken.
The taste of the biriyani is excellent. Variety of spices that really get you wanting more. Although you'd like a few more juicy pieces but the taste makes up for it.
Overall , great place will definitely visit again
I used to frequest hotel prashanth when i worked in jayanagar.
they aren't the cleanest hotel around but the food is excellent if your prepared to rough it out.
i stick to my favorites, biryani, chicken fry, chilli chicken and kheema ball dry.
the service is blazingly fast, you usually get your food in under 5 minutes of ordering.
biryani is of the locall donne type which i love, usually have it with the chilli chicken, on occasions try the other 2.
the portions look small as they are served in small plates but are very deceiving.
good value for money meal if you want to try the local cuisine.
The taste of the biryani takes u back to the village style of spiciness.. The boti curry is their speciality I guess coz it tastes gr8 jus melts in ur mouth.
If you want to have some authentic Karnataka style food, this is one of the places you should definitely try.
My favourite dishes are ragi mudde, mutton masala and mutton kurma. The mutton is well cooked, the quality of the mutton is always good and gravy is just amazing, a great combination with ragi mudde. They make ragi mudde fresh, it is always served hot, they are very soft and just the way I like it.
The biryani is again quite different, it is more of a pulav, the biryani is spicy, probably made with some herbs that makes it quite different from the regular biryanis. I find the starters are quite ok, the kababs are simple and good.
They serve some Chinese stuff as well, I would say stick to the indian dishes and you will not be disappointed.
Most of the places that serve this kind of food is generally crowded and sometimes not that hygienic. But this place is well maintained, staff is courteous and fast. Prices are quite reasonable. The best dishes according to me are mutton masala and mutton kurma, try it with ragi mudde or plain rice to really appreciate the flavours.
Looking out for a eating place as i was desperately hungry i saw the New Prashanth Hotel at Jayanagar. The service was pretty fast and the food was awesome. I ordered for biryani and my husband being a mudde fan he ordered the same. The food taste was simply good and satisfied my hunger. The hotel looks clean around with the simple place for eating.
One of the oldest hotels for non veg food lovers. When in gandhi bazaar used to go with college friends from bms. All of us Loved their ragi balls, with chicken curry. Their chicken kebab was pretty good. Ghee rice pretty heavy. One good experience we had in this place. Reminds me of my friends. Worth a visit.
When you can get such yummy food for take away or home delivery, you are always going to be a happy foodie! :) We've gotten food from here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. They have a few more options than just the menu shown on Zomato I believe.
I simply love the Rava fish fry and Tava Fish fry from here. The fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection. We ordered mutton biryani, mutton kurma and a chicken starter as well. The biryani was pretty good. We simple loved the mutton kurma 'cuz it's delicious and spicy and goes really well with the biryani. They give a salan with the biryani which is equally good. Moreover, their portions are more more than enough for 2 people. And ofcourse they are a value for money looking at their prices and portions.
So next time you're bored eating at home, try ordering in from here. They're worth a try.
i am so hppy with the service and taste given by New prashanth hotel and i am so excited to visit again again....

I had very good experience dining at New Prashanth Hotel.
This place is one of the best to have ragi ball. The biriyani is nati style and tastes amazing. We had two Ragi balls, Chicken 65 and Egg biriyani all for about 400 Bucks which is pretty reasonable.
Chicken 65 is a must try. It's really tasty.
Don't forget to drink the delicious rasam they serve at the end of your meal.
You can have one of the finest biriyanis in the city, the flavour is so good. Guntur chicken with chicken biriyani best combos in this place.
All time favorite combo. Ragi balls and mutton chops and this place takes the cake for the best Ragi ball. Soft and no rice mixed.

🐓🐓Best in the city anytime. This place is crowded during weekends. So best is to take away rather than wait at the restaurant. Take away is quite faster🍽😋
Very tasty food n good varieties of dishes..
Went on Saturday 3 pm and it was not so crowded. I had their mutton biryani which was naati style (by default) and their chilli chicken which has slight gravy in it. Both were amazing and I loved it .
"Tasty food on plantain leaf". One must try Ragi Ball and chilli chicken. Ambience is good. You can go with your family. Friendly waiters. Non veg meals are also available with reasonable price. Must try Non-Veg restaurant.
We were 4 of us, we ordered 1 Naati Chicken Biryani, methi chicken, lemon chicken, motton head curry and on veg Jeera rice with Dal n gobi pepper. They were all good. Gobi was a bit on salty side but still it was tasty. And we found items were a bit on the expensive side. Service was good and toilets were clean.
The biryani is fantastic and tasted very well with mutton chops. Chicken Pepper Dry was pretty decent. Ambience and service is really good. Friendly People!
Its situated behind Jayanagar main busstop. We had ordered chicken biryani, fish fry, kabab, mutton fry. They served the food in banana leaf, Biryani was piping hot, yummy and the taste made our day. Ambience is good and its crowded so need to wait for your turn of service
