I have ordered on a few occasions from this place. The food is really good and authentic. They have some authentic dishes that you might not find in restaurants and each dish that i have tried is really good. Please keep up the quality.

One suggestion is please introduce thali so that we can easily order an entire lunch for one person in adorable price.

A good place for everyday Bengali food...small sized establishment...not for fine dining but, if you are looking for a restaurant for having a hearty Bengali lunch or dinner at a reasonable rate (not cheap though), this is a good option...food is tasty, authentic Bengali fare, nice portion sizes...fairly good options to try out from...not much from ambience point of view but will leave u satisfied overall...shud give it a try if you are in this locality and like Bengali cuisine...

This restaurant is a perfect example of a "hole in a wall" (although it is part of a chain) with lip-smacking food. It might be a bit confusing to locate, since there are 2 Liss Arcade buildings on opposite sides of the 27th Main. Bangaliana HSR is located in the Liss Arcade marked #2633.

Overall: 3.5/5
Food: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Ambience 2.5/5
Pricing-to-quality: 3.5/5

This restaurant is really small, with a seating capacity of approx 25-30. I went for a late lunch on Sunday, and found it to be half full. One thing to keep in mind for people who are going for the first time: They have thali options other than their a-la-carte' options. They have it mentioned on small notices on some tables, but not all.

I went for a Fish Paturi thali, and ordered an additional menu item of "Mocha Chingri" (Prawns in banana/plaintain) blossoms. The thali came with servings of white steamed rice, moong daal with peas, cauliflower with peas, beguni (brinjal fried in besan), khejur gur r rosogolla (rasgulla is date-palm jaggery based chasni), sweet mango chutney, and the king of the thali, bhetki paturi. The components were tell-tale signs of a classic bengali dish. The rice was steamed perfectly and fluffy. The moong daal had classic bengali tadka, enhanced by the sweetness and texture of sweet peas. The cauliflower dish had a bit watery gravy, as found in home-made bengali dish, The beguni was cold to my disappointment, but to be expected, as they probably make it in bulk for the thalis. The paturi is made by steaming the fish wrapped in banana leaf, lathered with mustard paste. It was made to perfection: The fish was soft, and the mustard paste/gravy was as good as it gets. The micha-chingri was fabulous: the dish was slightly sweet/bitter due to the mocha, but it was perfectly fibrous. The shrimp was cooked to the right temperature, it was soft and not rubbery, which it could easily have been given the high cooking heat for the rest of the dish. The rasogolla and chutney was expectedly tasty too.

The dishes were not light, so if u are looking for a light meal, avoid this place. But if u are here with am empty tummy, u go home licking your fingers and satisfied.

A small place in HSR layout on the first floor for all the Bengalis and Bengali food lover.. they have 5 more branches in other parts of Bangalore.. ambience wise it is dull.. we ordered mutton thali and fish thali.. each thali had steamed rice, yellow dal, gobhi aloo curry, fried aloo lachha, chutney, fish/mutton curry and dessert.. dal was very ordinary, gobhi aloo was good, chutney was sweet but tasty, fish curry was amazing, mutton curry was good and dessert was awesome.. quantity was good enough for a person..overall a nice place..

Being a bong at heart, I decided to introduce my friends to our Bengali cuisine this year. And I'm glad I chose Bangaliyana for it.
The outlet near HSR remains usually calm with a few peoples coming in at regular intervals. The staff there are all courteous, well versed with Bengali & gives in their recommendations when asked.

We ordered
•Radha ballavi and aloor dum
•Pulao (Bangla)
•Dhokar dalna
•Rosogolla
•Mishti doi

Coming to the taste of the dishes, we all loved it. Each dish had it's own "bangali" essence to it. Specially the sweet pulao was pure nostalgia for me. The desserts were definitely the best part of the dinner. Though it could not compete with the authentic mishti doi served in clay pot back home, it definitely came close enough.

In short, a must visit for bengali-cuisine lovers.

Ordered online. I am really fond of the vegetarian dishes like veg chop and aloo Posto.
Food is generally spicy and oily. So it's a complete no when you're not exactly looking for light food.
Prefer ordering occasionally.
Overall satisfactory.

This place felt like a home away from home. Such amazing Bengali delicacies and loads of varieties. We had chicken kosha, mutton kosha, bangali pulao, dhokar dalna, gurer roshogolla. Everything was mind blowing!
A little work on the ambience would be great.

Ordered online through Swiggy

Chicken Dak Bangla - The chicken served with egg was just heaven and at par with our very own Bhojohori Manna.
Sorse Pona - The sorse gravy was rightly cooked and big piece of fish.
Bhaja Moong Dal
Steamed Rice
Jhoori Alu Bhaja
Shukto - The shukto was very nicely prepared. Not those preparation which your prepares at home for healthy reasons but those you prepare for special occasions (oily and bit rich gravy)

Overall beautiful experience both times. Last time went physically to the Koramangla outlet and this time their HSR layout through Swiggy. A must try for anyone who wants to try bengali food in Bengaluru.

For me, this is the best place for Bengali food. Being a Bong myself, I have tried most of the restaurants that serve Bong food. Bangaliana is by far the best. The fish items are worth mentioning and also, the veg dishes. Mutton Kasha, served with Bengali pulav, is a must try.

Being a bengali will always make you search for bengali cuisine everytime you feel homesick or miss your mother's foods. And Bangaliana is just the go to place for me. Tried many things here but all time favourite will be bangla pulao, mutton dak bangla, mango chutni. Believe me, you won't regret ever.. everytime the mutton is perfectly cooked, chutney is perfectly balanced sweet n sour and the pulao is just pure bliss.

Reccomended - Bangla pulao, mutton dak bangla, mango chutney, fish fry, radhaballavi n dum aloo
Service - very courteous staff, 4
Food - 4.5

Visited this place for lunch a few days back since I was craving Bengali food. Price was quite reasonable, so I ordered rice, dal and bhetki machher paturi. While the portions were quite generous, the dal didn’t taste quite like what authentic dal should. The taste wasn’t bad, but those familiar with bengali cuisine would know that dal doesn’t taste like that. Coming to the fish, I was slightly disappointed, because paturi is one of the tastiest dishes of fish I have ever tasted, and this one didn’t taste like paturi either. Fish paturi tends to be very soft, but this one had a texture like that if usual fish, not like paturi. Interiors are very basic, and the staff is very well-behaved. Service was also prompt and the staff is pretty helpful. One can still go to this place if you are craving bengali food, but don’t expect the delicacies in the exact form that you’re used to. I wish they improve the cooking so that we get what we are paying for.

Giving 4 stars just for the ilish Paturi and shukto. Didn't expect it to be that good.🤤 Rest of the items(fulkopi curry , cholar daal , aloo jhuri bhaja, chaana torkari) were okayish. I don't understand why the restaurants have to put so much sugar on every bengali dish. Not all bengalis put tons of sugar in everything they eat.🙄😑 Pricing wise, it was decent and affordable as compared to other bengali restaurants in bengaluru.

If you're in Bangalore and craving authentic Bengali cuisine, this is the best place for you. It's little on the expensive side but the quality of food they provide, it's worth spending the money once in a while. Check their timings before coming and there can be waiting also so keep that on mind.

It is a great place for Bengali people, my Bengali friends feel homely having food here. Bit costly but has a great variety of items in Veg, fish, chicken and mutton. The area is a bit small sometimes we have to wait for 30-40 mins on weekends, but the service is good enough. We ordered a variety of Chicken and Fish items and Aloo Dum, Cholar Dal, Luchi, and Steamed rice.

Two of my Bengali friends forced me to dine at a Bengali specialty restaurant and the reason why I didn’t want to join was that I am a vegetarian. I went there and found this small but well maintained outlet wondering what I would eat. They ordered variety of Chicken and Fish for themselves and Aloo Dum, Cholar Dal, Luchi, Steamed rice and Aam Ras for me. There food came to the table but I was still waiting and when it finally arrived its aroma was so good that I could not even click photos and just dived into it and at one go I kept going. I was so full that I couldn’t move but Rosogulla was something I couldn’t have missed. It was amazing. I loved the food but the only thing I didn’t like was portion size being too small hence the 4 stars. Staff is good and service is good so do give it a try.
