Have eaten the chicken xacutti , goan prawn curry & the balchao here . Most times the food has been good , sometimes it’s a tad miss , just a little off on authenticity ! Used to love ordering the goan brown rice here , which hasnt been available for some time now .
This place superb , so much love the carnival de goa chef preparations , the pomfret rechado , the seer fish butter garlic , peri peri prawns is just outstanding

Visited them couple of months, but my bad that I forgot to write down the review.
The ambiance is very nice, well management of space and it gives you a relaxing and soothing touch of Goa.
We ordered one seafood platter (I must say it was worth ordering, the taste is awesome, the crabs were fingerlicking and it's value for money), Beef Enrolado, Pork Vindaloo, Rice, Simba Light Beer (you don't get this at many places) and ended up the meal with Apple Pie.
Each of the dishes were very tasty and delicious. You get the right flavours.
The service is superb, the staffs were very courteous and well mannered.
Ambiance: 4/5
Food: 5/5
Service: 4/5
The best authentic goan food served in Bangalore 😊
For a refreshing take on Goan cuisine, visit this place. With a great ambience, and courteous staff, you can sip on a mugful of beer and gorge on awesome curries and rice. Loved the Pandi curry and sannas. In desserts, we had Bibinca and Dodol which I recommend to everyone else.
This is best restaurant in Banglore I have been to so far. Truely represents taste of Goan food. Squids batter fry was heavenly. Goan prawns curry and rice are must try, extremely delicious and worth the money . If you are craving for seafood or Goan food then this place is highly recommended.
Nice place for sea food lovers. Variety of fish available. Famous Ros omlette is also available with poi. Fish thali not available on sundays.
Overall: 4️⃣ ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A good experience and a treat to my taste buds. So Yes! would definitely visit this again someday.

Ambience: 3️⃣.5️⃣⭐⭐⭐🌟
The ambience is kept simple and yet beautiful. More of the warm lights have been used. The cartoon paintings on the wall is kinda adds to the flavour. Table is traditional wodden tables with coloured tiles on it. The staff are in Colourful dress giving you the feeling of a vacation. Music is being played but it isn't too loud which definitely is a good point. Handwash area is bit too small, but ok it's not that you would spend most of the time there.
------------
Food: 4️⃣.5️⃣⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟
Hmmm, This definitely gets them the brownie points. The food was really tasty and perfect cooked. I had ordered fish and the fish was really fresh and the burst of flavour reminded me of my mom's cooking. I tried even duck pepper fry, macquerel manglorean style fry, fish curry rice, squid and all of which was good. It's not that they are good with food and not with deserts as it's the case in most of the place. Surprisingly their desert was really good. To all those sweet tooth - caramel pudding is a must try.
------------
Staff: 4️⃣⭐⭐⭐⭐
Staff was good, sweet and polite. Have the knowledge of the dishes and do recommend you dishes based on your liking. I was confused with the deserts, so they gave me few tasters which helped me to decided. This good gesture gets a +1
Been here for lunch and had the fish thali here. Was amazed with the quantity and quality for such a good rate. The happy hours too make this place value for money
It's a small restaurant on the second floor, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We went after lunchtime so the place was almost empty.
We ordered batter fried calamari, peri peri crab.
And OH MY GOD!
The calamari was served quickly. Fresh calamari, fried to perfection. The green chutney/sauce with it added a twist to the taste of the dish! 😄
The peri peri crab was something I hadn't heard of, so wanted to try it and ordered it right away. And oh did I ask them to make it "spicy"! One of the best crab dishes I've had in a while.. It was a semi-gravy dish. Mouthwatering flavour and the right amount of spiciness for someone who loves spicy food.😋
We quickly ordered some neer dosas to go along with the crab gravy.
Ended it with Ferrero rocher cake, we needed something sweet after all the spicy food😂
Overall, a great place for seafood. The ambience is kinda toned-down and compact.
The prices are okay, not on the heavier side.
Service and food were both great, would definitely visit next time! :)
Really we very happy with exotic seafood rate and selection of fishes . Goan rechado masala yummy and very tasty. Good staff good ambition . We happy with carnival de goa restaurant
Very good food . Christmas special menu was amazing we had chicken roost and pork ribs is very nice and yummy. Seafood is very fresh and chip rates .
What a amazing visit . carnival de goa made my day. Very fresh seafood with good goan music. We ordered sea basa masala . test was good with well cooking
Sea food display is attractive.thank you
Lovely ambience, has got a open space and a closed ac place too. One can see the busy ulsoor area near 1MG Mall from the windows. The interiors are beautiful and very colorful. Coming to food, had chicken cutlet, which was mouthwatering. Tasted Crab Rachaedo too, I m personally not a fan of crabs so I m not justified to judge it. In main course, tried Mangalore style pulimunchi prawns with Appam, and it was delicious. In desserts, tried the infamous Bibinca with icecream and Dodol with icecream, which has the essential Coconut Jaggery taste. Both the deserts did full justice to their hype. What they really need to improve is their service time, which is huge. Apart from that, a great visit.
Service by Jayan was pleasant. The BTS was tasty
After watching Stand Up comedy in Tekhla Auditorium, my friend and I decided to visit this restaurant for some good seafood. This restaurant is located just 1 km away from the auditorium and has a great cozy ambiance. We ordered seafood pizza and crab soup. Seafood pizza was great with a good amount of toppings. Crab soup was spicy with good crab chunks. I would definitely visit this place again to try out more items. 🥰
With Chandravanu Rout
Lip-smacking food, good music and a great ambience is what makes this place a go-to hub. Also, ask for Jayan. His services are top-notch, although the same can be said about anyone working here.
The quintessential chill+good affordable beer+ great nonveg combination. The veg food here is very limited and the vegetarians with us did not really find these too appealing however the opposite holds for the nonveg food. Do try the mutton sukka
Absolutely love this place. It is so special to me! This is the place where my best friend Rutu made me try prawns and I fell in love. It is a feel good place. Jayan is a sweetheart and is lovely to see him and host us. :)
Omg! Why did I skip Carnival de Goa, all this while. This is so far the best goan food experience for me. It's a small little menu they have..but the best food. The quantity I would say is a little less, but that's not a reason to miss their food. Not just food and ambience, their service too is a plus. The place was packed, not sure if it was a sunday crowd or usual. Something else that I noticed and needs to be mentioned is their washroom. More than 80% of the places does not have clean washrooms, but this is one place that kept it clean, stocked with tissues and did not stink. Again, hope it is not just on weekends. I definitely want to try more items and would say, worth going again!
Awesome place for sea food. Had taken xl sea food platter. Food was just mouth watering. Desserts bread pudding was yummm. First time I found bebinca in bangalore else had to go to Goa to eat them. Plus Konkani music was played in the background. Just awesome goa vibe in bangalore.
Alright so this place is just a bit far from Frazer town to Ulsoor and we tried it out as a huge trip from Frazer Town sharief bhai to Sherlock to mosque street and then came to this and my my it took me back to Goa with that ambience the perfect food and some good live music much like the Goa environment. Be vary to go to the next floor to night owl and dance too. This is a huge weekend hangout place 😄
Right now I am here. Ordered chilly beef, Butter basa steak, peri peri french fry, xcauti mutton, prawn pulao, fisherman pulao. Taste is good. Ambience is awesome. KF draught beer is bit watery 😁.
good goan food . fish thali is nice . anchovi rava fry i had first time but very nice . staff was good. Next time definitely i coming back for anchovi fish
A must go to place for Goan and Malabar cuisine lovers. Nice ambience of both indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff and quick service. We frequent this place often for the said reasons. Must try dishes - fish rawa fry, chicken sukkem, cafreal, Xacuti, Vindaloo. The cocktails are also well made and not diluted. Special praise to Mr. Santosh and Mr. Shimrai who maintain service smoothly. Also the meal options for lunch are well laid out and priced nominally for the quantity and variety of accompaniments.
Brilliant food and cozy ambience. And the caramel custard is very highly recommended its my faveeeeeeee. Took me back to Goa for a moment🤗😊😊
Very nice ambience. Going very well with the cuisine and concept, had goan choriz fry, semolina crusted squids, chicken pizza, bebinca, beer,
Beer was nice chilled, choriz was spot on a must try dish, squid rings were superb nice crispy. Pizza can be better, bebinca was the perfect end. Great job chefs, superb service . Great job team
Very happy with the food, I tried basa rava friend and it was an absolute craker. Plus the prawns were fresh and juicy. Squids were perfectly cooked. Overall it was a great experience.
Absolutely adored the ambience. The staff was friendly and courteous. Would definitely visit again. We didn't order food so can't really say much on that, but the place smelt great😂😂
What can I say ?😋🎩I’m a regular here !! Excellent food !!!!! Great service !!! And I recommend the go to man Santhosh 🎩👍😎 dishes to try - the pork sausage chilli - the Thalis during lunch - the catch of the day specials ....
if you haven’t been here already that’s tragic!!! 🤷♂️ head down to carnival de Goa and have a brilliant time !!
If you are a goan and miss home, then this place is a perfect go to.
The ambience has a goan-portugues vibe, with beautiful art work and konkani mando songs being played.
Service is quite good, the waiters kind and polite.
The menu consist of all the main goan dishes and the taste does justice to an extend.
Overall,4/5 .
We ordered a prawn thali and it worth the money.
The staff was also nice and polite.
Did not try anything else so can't really comment much.
Amazing Goan food! Brilliant place to eat some sea food. Good seating with fresh air and good view over looking bustling city of Bengaluru. Sweet staff make the meal a wholesome experience.
Butter garlic is my feveret dish in carnival de Goa. Good ambition freindy staff.
Whenever I go back this restaurant ( my be 8time) food test is never changed I think chef have good recipe . Thank you carnival de Goa for giving me good prawns butter garlic

Carnival De Goa is the newest addition to the seafood places of the town. It brings you to the taste of Goa and the taste of fresh seafood all the way from coastal.
*Ambience*
The ambiance is a bit on the dark side with retro classics playing in the background. It has different smoking and non-smoking zones as well.
*Beverages*
The must-try has to be Iron Man and Goblet Of Fire whiskey and rum-based cocktails which are quite potent enough.
*Food*
Coming to the food, the variety and freshness of the seafood are really good here. The recommended dishes are :
🔹Goan Chicken Chilly - a spice mix dish with the best of spices and soft chicken.
🔹Mangalore Prawn Curry - a mix of coconut milk and prawns in the sweet chili gravy.
🔹Kerala Chicken Stew - The vegetable stew with chicken bits and pieces.
Ask for the fresh catch of the day from the restaurant and have it pan fried style. We went for pomfret and basa rava fried.
We had all the gravies with Neer Dosa and Sanna.
Coming to the desserts, I think I had the best coconut pannacotta here along with quite good and decent Choco lava cake. The pannacotta was made fresh and you can have it again and again with sweetness up to the mark.
Good little joint with an open air feel and extremely cheap food and alcohol options! The Goan beef options and fish curries are really delicious and on a good weather day, the beer and Goan cuisine will make you feel like you’re on a vacation!
One of those places where you can ease into your food with long conversations and scrumptious Goan fare. Goan vibes with colourful graffiti and a wall lined with curios, an Al Fresco seating with a view of the busy road outside and warm service. Here are some of the items recommended from their menu:
1. Goan Chilly Pork: Definitely the best starter I had here, beautifully cooked pork pieces with a spicy masala reminiscentof Goan shacks, if you are a pork lover, this is the first item on the cards.
2. Mushroom Reachado: Crispy Rava Fried Mushrooms with a tangy-spicy filling, this was another starter I enjoyed.
3. Bacon Wrapped Prawns: This version here with fresh prawns and a crispy bacon cover, tossed in a tangy masala was delicious!
4. Mangalore Fish Curry and Sannas: The perfect option for mains, the sannas were soft and fluffy and the fish curry was beautifully tangy and delicious. A must try in the mains.
5. The tender coconut pannacotta here is out of the world and the best dessert here to end your meal. Highly recommended, this one.
We did try several cocktails including the Planter's Punch(dark rum based with pineapple juice) and the Chocotini(Vodka in a chocolate based cocktail) which were decent.
Verdict: Overall, a pretty good experience with a super-relaxed atmosphere, 90's classics on the speakers and their fresh seafood, adds to the charm of this place.

This place is a paradise for all of you non-vegetarians but there's lots of Vegetarian food on the menu as well.
I had the Crispy Okra Fry, Mushroom Recheado and Chilli Paneer for appetizers. All of them were decent, I liked the Paneer the most.
They serve fresh fish and you get to choose the fish of your liking! Definitely worth for fish lovers 😊
The Coconut Pannacotta was the best, a must order here.
Their Basa fry and squid rava fry are amazing. I'd recommend basa fry. Ambience is good, be it with a view or a relaxing place. Ideal for a first date.
Are you someone who has a thing for seafood but still not able to satisfy that craving in Bangalore because you haven't found the perfect place yet? If yes, then head over to Carnival De Goa straight away and you will be thanking me.
15 years old place and I came to know about it just recently. It sits right opposite to Conrad in Ulsoor on the first floor. Looking at the decor, you won't get vibes of any fine dining space but it will definitely take you to those cute little sea facing restaurants in Goa with rhythmic music being played in the background.

Coming to the food, I don't think there's any variety of seafood which they don't serve. We tried almost everything they had to offer:
🔸Calamari batter fry - The best calamari I ever had. Nice and crispy on the outside and quite soft and juicy on the inside.
🔸Sea crab masala - I don't have words to describe the taste for this one. The gravy was simply delicious.
🔸Bassa masala - Decent taste and right mix of flavors. Give it a try.
🔸Anchovy rava fry and Mackreal rava - Both the fish fry were lip smacking. The rava enhanced the taste to a whole new level.
🔸Chicken Peri Peri - Yes, we tried chicken as well in the midst of all the seafood and it was quite tasty.
🔸Brinjal Peri Peri - Something for the herbivores but I must say, this dish was amazing. Even being a hardcore non vegetarian, I thoroughly enjoyed this.
🔸Sausage pizza - This was the pork sausage pizza which I felt was bit hard to chew. Need some improvement.
🔸White pomfret recheado - The next variety of fish that we had. The Pomfret was seriously cooked to perfection.
🔸Salmon masala - Not a big fan of salmon, hence I did not really enjoy this.
🔸Banana fritter - Again, something for the veggies and a yummy one at that.
🔸Mushroom recheado - Mushroom was good and delicious.
🔸Prawn butter garlic - My favourite among the lot. The butter garlic sauce truly did justice and this I believe is their best selling dish.
▫️▫️▫️▫️
From the mains, we tried Neer dosa with prawn curry and steamed rice with kingfish curry. Both the combos were a hit, although the kingfish curry impressed me the most. Even there was pav and if you have liking for pav, then don't neglect this here. It was so so good.
▫️▫️▫️▫️
Beverages:
I would recommend Iron Man and Incredible Hulk for those who want medium booze. But for those with a hint of strong booze, Finding Nemo is the drink for you.
Again for the teetotallers, Solkadi, Kokum, Mango Bloom and Orange Blossom can be very interesting.
▫️▫️▫️▫️
Desserts didn't impress me that much, although the bebinca was good. But the caramel custard was bit of a let down for me. Goan Dodol was decent but nothing extraordinary.
▫️▫️▫️▫️
Pricing is quite reasonable and you get to taste variety of seafood options without drilling a hole in your pocket. Staff is courteous but the service felt a bit slow, nothing major though. It's truly a paradise for seafood lovers.
One stop solution for seafood craving.Such a fantastic capture of the beloved Goan Cusine coupled with a very cooperative and extremely friendly manager, gives this place a huge thumbs up.
We kick-started with the traditional and sumptuous butter Garlic prawns which were creamy and tender and very appealing. To pair with it, we ordered 🍸 and tequila ⛅.Additionally, the light music in the ground brought in a very soothing experience.
Just as we were trying to decide on the fish main course, we were presented the fresh supplies of the day- black pomfret, sea bass, mackerel. We chose the black pomfret which was later grilled to perfection with mild spices.A dash of lemon on top along with raw mango-(Wow, what a burst of flavours!).
We were particularly curious about the Goan poi which is nothing but the Goan bun.We ordered Chorizo poi which was really spicy ,at the same time was unique in it's own way.
Overall, had a terrific experience and looking forward to trying their fish thali which quite ubiquitous in the restaurant, I must say!

Food was good and the ambiance was great. Maybe the staff needed to be a little more attentive. Only thing is they should do something about the mosquitoes.
Good place to hangout for those who want to try out some authentic Goan cusinies with drinks of course. Goan Fish Curry was really nice and so was Prawns Rice. Must try for those who wanna get some Goan feel in Bangalore

A place which surely makes you feel as comfortable and pleasant in terms of food, an amazing open ambience, nice comfortable seating and yes the music. Surely this place has a feel of a bar in Goa and the food with extensive options is at par too. Nive heavy drinks, especially the cocktails which are surely over alcoholic and not only diluted with flavours. Surely ample options for non veg but a few veg dishes are at par and trust me we were liking a few of them more
In all cozy ambience, decent food, hard drinks, and ample 2 wheeler parking marks this place.

WHAT WE HAD
🔵 Started with fish, and honestly ordered a lot from the menu given the bunch of folks we were. From white pomfret to calamari batter fry to mackreal fish in starters, from baasa masala to salmon masala and kingfish curry in mains, the fish was as fresh as it can be. The taste was an authentic goa flavoured one.
🔵 Chicken was tender and well made. Again had options to choose from chicken cafreal, a goan portugese chicken starter with mix of spices in green chillies, coriander leaves and ginger and others, to chicken peri peri with decent peri peri flavours.
🔵 To complete the course of sea food, we have had sea crab masala and prawns masala in mains and crabs in starters, again the course was as fresh as it be and tasted well.
🔵 Options in veg too and trust me, they serve some good veg. From paneer pizzas to paneer gravy with rice, they serve it all.
🔵 In desserts we have had Bebinca and caramel custard. Decent ones. Served with ice cream, the Bebinca was nice.
🔵 In drinks, we have had incredible hulk, jagger bomb, finding nemo, and traditional green apple mojito. The drinks were really well made, well mixed and had some real good alcohol

I am amazed I discovered this place just recently. Its a haven for sea food lovers. We tried so many dishes and all of them fantastic.
Recommending you some of my favourites.
1. Prawn butter garlic. Have been looking the ones I had in Goa and somehow never found it till I had it here. Great stuff. Creamy buttery, fantastic quality prawns.
2. Sea crab masala. I loved the masala so much, I can just have a plateful of that masala. The crab had good meat, impressive size.
3. Mackreal rava and Anchovy rava fry. Rava fry at this place is too good. Light coated, and blends well with fish. Simple and super yummy.
4.Bassa masala and Salmon masala. Strangely enough I liked the former. The masala was godamn great. Like the best of all.
5. Calamari batter fry. Highly recommend. Goes well with beer.
6.Prawn curry and rice . The best combo . Just loved it.
7. Bebinca .Must try. Its a goan dish, it was just awesome.
8. Kingfish curry and neer dosa/ rice. The gravy was similar to prawn curry. Needless, tasted amazing.
9. White pomfret recheado. Oh this was top rated dish!
10. Also dont forget to try Roast beef poi . Beef is done very well here.

Easily one of the best food experience I have had recently. So much and so good that my quota for sea food intake of the month is happily fulfilled in one seating.
Great food, generous quantity, apt pricing , what more can one want?
Their drinks are quite potent, so thats great . Sea food lovers are in for a treat as they have a huge array of options to choose from.
Karemein masala, White pomfret recheado, Calamari batter fry, Sea crab masala, Anchovy rava fry, Mackreal rava, Prawn butter garlic , Prawn curry with rice are some of the must haves!
The entire look and feel of the place is so goan and chilled ! i loved it. A straight 5.
Last time when I visited Goa, I have tried most of the Goan dishes and since then I was craving for some authentic Goan food. Recently I paid a visit to Carnival de goa which left me flabbergasted with their Goan delicacies.
Located right opposite to Conrad with an amazing view. The restaurant ambiance resembles a goan house with some old crafts and can accommodate 70 folks approximately. Take a look at what I have tasted there
👉Mango Bloom :
A refreshing mocktail which you will definitely fall in love with. It has a strong flavour of mango with ice cream and thick in consistency. Mango lovers do not miss to try it!
👉Calamari batter fry :
Squid is fried to golden perfection with adequate amount of chilli. It was crunchy and tasted delicious. This starter goes really well with drinks.
👉Roast beef poi :
A true heaven for beef fanatics! Sliced pieces of roasted beef is sandwiched with two fluffy buns and accompanied by french fries. Beef is juicy and utterly delicious.
👉Mackerel rava :
Fresh and tasty mackerel fish was fried moderately with rava. Fish pieces are tender and I would love to recommend this dish to fish lovers.
👉Goan sausage Pizza:
It's a fairly thin crusted pizza loaded with adequate amount of cheese and pork sausages. It has got the perfect balance of flavours and the crust is fluffy and tasty.
👉Sea crab masala :
This curry with rice is truly a bliss. It was cooked extremely well and doesn't have the crabby smell. The gravy this slightly thick and I felt the flavour of chilli overpowered the dish. It tasted good but it could have been great with a bit less chilli than what was added.
👉Bebinca :
Without this dessert, any Goan meal would be incomplete. It has got a flossy texture and tasted delicious. This is a must try.
Emphatically, it was indeed a delightful experience with their food and ambiance. The staff are courteous and quick in service. So now you know where to go for lip-smacking goan food.

How many of us crave for that perfect Goa vacation to offload from work and take that much needed break. Well, it doesn’t happen very often isn’t it ? That’s when places like ‘Carnival de Goa‘ come in as saviors. With ambience and food that indeed brings in Goa vibes, if you are in Bangalore and can’t get on a plane to Goa, end up in Ulsoor to this place as an alternative.

Carnival De Goa is a Goan restaurant on the edge of Ulsoor, right across Conrad Hotel. The place is known for its Goan food and ambiance. The whole theme revolves around a carnival which is evident from the wall paintings as well. You can choose to sit outside with a view of the Conrad or inside with the air-condition. The ambiance has been specially curated to keep Goa in mind. We wanted to try most of the dishes on the menu and went ahead to try their cocktails.
Awesome crab. I know this place is famous for the sea food. Peri peri chicken wings is a must try......... friendly staff and best to hang out
If you love seafood then this place is definitely worth a try.U will come across varieties of Goanese delicacies and trust me you ll not leave disappointed. This place has got two sections out of which the open one soothes you when you are sipping your favourite drink. They offer happy hours and zomato gold as well.So do step in.
This is my The Most Favorite Place in the city of Bengaluru. The location, service, food, drinks, everything is The Best. The ambience will give you a very Goa feel with Maria Pitache being played in the background. The food is just amazing. Recommend ones would be Goan chilly pork, Mackrel rava fry, Pork vindaloo, Prawns butter garlic fry, Calamari batter fry alongwith LIIT or Bira.
Really a very nice place. Food & ambiance is good.. overall happy customer.Sea food plater is the best, last but not the least the assorted pizza
Visited this restaurant because of its name, and it definitely does justice to it. Cozy place, friendly and cooperative staff, the susegado goan vibe, live music and lip smacking food! You don't need to think twice, whether or not the food is gonna be good, its great! I have been visiting this place ever since my first, and am never disappointed. The authentic goan fish curry is my favorite, you should definitely try. A few items maybe overly priced but it's definitely worth it. Don't forget the bebinca & caramel pudding from this place, you're gonna drool!
It's a great place to visit on weekdays in day time. They have meals which are served only in day time plus there are happy hours going on. So it's a great place for lunch if you work nearby.
Very friendly staff. They explained well every dish. Food was delicious. Specially the fish. Good ambience and view. Freindly environment. Highly recommended this place must visit
Of all the places I have been in Bangalore , I would say this is the only place which serves fresh fish!!!! We visit this place mainly for the fish and some drinks along with it .
You can also select the fish from a wide ranges of fish available here and also select the way you want the fish to be fried.
It's a very good place to have seafood at reasonable prices. The food is good, the atmosphere is relaxed. For a few moments you can think that you are in Goa but without the beach.
Delicious Goan food, good quantities and delightful selection of cocktails. Reasonable pricing is a bonus. The fish thali at lunchtime is fab and occasional special starters such as our masala clams "teesriyo" last night are outstanding. The prawn curry is the very best item and seafood is always fresh. Whole family loves the location and ambience plus close by safe parking. It's a nuisance however that municipality work on access road is taking so long.
It was one of suggested places for me to try Goan food. It’s a good place for lunch. Sea food lovers will enjoy the food. A nice breezy ambience.
Food (4/5): If you are a seafood lover, then Carnival De Goa is a must-visit for you. The restaurant has definitely managed to strike a perfect balance with an extensive menu and impeccable taste. We started off with Butter Garlic Prawns which I would like to mention as my personal recommendation. I am not a big seafood lover and honestly don't experiment much but the experience with the softest of prawns smothered in thick butter garlic paste surely opened up a new horizon. As the food here is primarily Mangalorean and Goan, we just had to order the chicken cafreal. I have had many variations of this dish in and outside of Goa and this one is pretty close to being the authentic 'high-on-coriander' flavor. Next in line was the immaculate Crab curry. The perfect blend of spices and sweetness mixing well with the crab meat just made the dinner perfect for us, although as a noob, it was a bit of a task for me to crack it open to eat it. A couple of new trials for me were the Poi and the Sannas. Poi is a slightly husky bread made with wheat and white flour and Sannas are the Goan versions of the infamous idli. Both go really well with most of the gravies but my personal favorite was the Sanna. We ended the meal with the soulful SolKadi which is primarily made from Kokum and has digestive properties.
Ambience (3/5): The people at Carnival De Goa have put a decent effort in giving their visitors a feel of Goa by the look of their furniture and the usual dull lighting and shadiness of the shacks that are found there. The music was pretty soothing and the place is pretty airy. Opt for the non-smoking zone if you can't handle people puffing them out. The deal breaker for me was a super-loud group of people who were not considerate about other people's experience and kept on babbling and made it pretty difficult for us to enjoy our food at the fullest.
Service (4/5): No complaints here as the staff was very professional and knew all the dishes inside out which helped us choose the right dishes. If they could probably take care of the nuisance, I would have given them a 5/5.
Value for money (3/5): Cost for 1 person including a starter, main course, and a drink will be close to 1000 INR which in my opinion is fine if you are a seafood lover, otherwise the prices of the dishes do seem to be on the higher side.
One of the best place to enjoy proper Goan food in Bangalore. Nice ambience. They have both both smooking and non smoking place available. excellent service.
Oh this place !!! That kismur is just yum man!!! So basically I’m allergic to dried shrimps but that doesn’t stop me from eating it. I ate a whole plate of kismur and had the allergy for two days but I didn’t feel bad a little bit. It was that good. And then the crab recheado !!! We were two people and we didn’t speak a word when we were eating the crab. It was that good. And then the pomfret Goan masala. I don’t know if that’s authentic but I’ve never had such a Goan masala 😋. The drinks were also pretty good. As usual I had the LIIT which was strong enough and then the blue frog was also good enough. Overall a damn good place. Have visited twice already and this is gonna be one of my regulars.
I visited this place with my family last night and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious. The staff were friendly and they even played some good music. We also enjoyed the ambience a lot. I felt like I was in Goa for a couple of hours. Kudos, guys! 🍺
The food is overrated.
I would give a 6/10 for food and 10/10 for beverages and ambience.
The location is opposite hotel conrad which gives a nice view as well to the customer.
Breeze flowing all around.
Nice music..
Had heard a lot about this place hence finally on the Christmas Eve decide to visit for a scrumptious meal. The interiors reminds of goal style restaurants hence the first impression is good. Lovely music was played all the while which was also not very loud . What can I say about the food , absolutely Goan cuisine served with the same flavour , authenticity and style. Tried several fish varieties and all tasted great . A must visit place
Good seafood, nice ambiance.
The fish curry was nice and one of the few restaurants were you get good sannas to go along with it. The portions are adequate and tastes good for a seafood restaurant is Bangalore.
Wonderful place - great ambiance - Goan style. The Mario Miranda mural adds a different colour to the seating arrangement. We had been on a weekday evening and pretty much had the place to ourselves - cousins catch up. Started with Butter Garlic Prawns, Pomfret grilled and masala fried along with Solkadi. For the veggies - Panneer Chilly Goan style and crispy fried Okra. All the dishes were fantastic - the fish was very well made, prawns were fresh and succulent, Okra was delicious. Quantity was good. Solkadi is a must try here. For the main course - Chicken curry with parota, Goan Ros Omlette and Goan Poi - the curry was well made and the quantity was good as well.
For fish-lovers, i would recommend this place purely to have fish starters + Solkadi. Service is very quick and though this place is in the center of the city - ample parking is available. Would recommend a 4.5 * actually.
Overall a decent experience.
