One of the Crispy Masala Dosa from the lanes of Malleswaram with perfectly balanced potato palya & accomplished with a strong filter coffee. I like the Chow Chow bath & Goli baje from their menu too
Visited this legacy restaurant on a Saturday morning. Was lucky to get a seat without waiting coz I came here as early as 7:30 am. Vintage ambience , but great taste I swear. Tried their Benne Masala Dosa (ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ ಮಸಾಲ ದೋಸೆ) and every single bite of it was really amazing. Size was pretty small, but it had the perfect combination of potatoes and butter. Paid close to 84 rupees for this. Also tried their amazing fliter coffee for 25 rupees. Did not get time to try other dishes, but would surely try them some day.
Great choice making the drive to Malleswaram for breakfast. Have to say there will be a line whenever you arrive but do not get discouraged when you see the line. It will take you maximum 30 mins to get a seat. You will not get bored waiting as well. There is a lot of movement in and around the area to keep your senses triggered. Ordered the ever famous masala dosa. It was a whole different experience. Yes it is crispy and breaks off like how a glass would upon contact to the floor. But the insides have that thick layer of batter. It is a new take on crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You all need to try it out once. The Vada also is the same story. Crispy and huge. Not like the normal joints. The Puri and potato curry was good. An amazing experience it was. Especially if you get seated with random strangers. You just might be able to create new connections here as well.
Central Tiffin Room, or CTR as it's affectionately called, is a Bengaluru institution. If you're looking for a delicious and authentic South Indian breakfast experience, this is the place to go.
The benne dosa, their signature dish, is a must-try. The paper-thin rice crepe is crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, and the potato filling is perfectly seasoned. The masala dosa is also excellent, and the pongal is a great choice if you're looking for something a little lighter.
The restaurant is always bustling with people. Whether you're a local or a visitor, CTR is a must-visit. It's the perfect place to start your day with a delicious and affordable meal.
This is one of the most hyped place in Bangalore. The waiting time to get the place to eat is more than 20 minutes. The hotel is very hygiene and they have mentioned neatly .The dose was filled with geese and with a affordable price you can get good food. There are lots of other dishes. But people will try dose more.Must try place in Malleshwaram
The taste is amazing especially benne masala dosa and mangalore bhajji these two are a must try at CTR, dont go on weekends there will be a huge crowd and this place cannot accommodate too many people. The staff are good but mostly they will be too busy so place your orders in a single go. A must visit place for foodies
Amazing food here, dosa was yum but was tiny in size hence not filling. Bonda was amazing too. Coffee was not the best. Pretty small place but a very famous eatery in south bangalore. Parking is a big issue for cars. Avoid weekends as it will be too crowded. Some items were expensive too.
Authentic and traditional Kannada place for decent breakfast. Prices are nominal for a good variety of food.
Really worth a visit...I visited this place on weekend (Saturday) around 10:40AM. Had to wait in queue for 20-30 mins to get our turn .
After getting seated without any delay we ordered Benne Dosa,Kesari sweet and poori. All items are v good and especially dosa is worth the hype .
finished with having filter coffee which is again at its best .
Definitely one of the best BF point in bangalore
Absolutely recommend a visit! Today, I arrived at precisely 4 PM on a weekday and luckily secured a seat. Opted for benne masala dosa, rava idli, and filter coffee. The rava idli was exceptionally soft, and the dosa had the perfect crispiness I've never experienced before.
