Been to this place on a Sunday afternoon. To my surprise, it was absolutely empty though it is in a major junction and started thinking it was a correct decision. However, all my doubts were once we tasted the food. Nice place with good food.
Was there for dinner along with a colleague, a very nice place for some quiet dinner. Wonderful ambience and good food. Ordered for dal, naan, soup and some rice. All the items were tasty. Also the staff was really couteous.
Loved this place for the ambience which is just neat and well maintained, the courteous staff and of course the delicious and fresh food. We had the chilli crunch chicken which was very tasty. We also tried the lazeez murgh Tikka and chicken schezwan noodles both of which were made really well. I also loved how the food was presented and the salads that came along. The chef came and asked us for our reviews on the food after our meal which I really liked. Definitely going back to this place!!

Well nice big place. It's a quite place i.e. no music is played in background. Both the quantity and quality of their food is brilliant. The lighting amd AC conditions could have been better. Their paneer tikka is good. Their sangria is better. 🤩

Starting from the entrance till the exit everything was perfect , ambience was very calm , atmosphere peace , service up to date , variety in menu excellent , a family like place where you can talk laugh and enjoy your food also.
Try white lotus stem , dimsom , they are one of my favourites and also those white book like lights are the attraction.

I visited White Plate on a late afternoon for Lunch and I was very happy with the complete experience at the restaurant.
The ambiance is simplistically beautiful with open seating available, and a live kitchen on display. The staff is very courteous and helpful. They also had Zomato Gold offer on food when we visited.
We ordered Vietnamese banana leaf grilled fish and Dhingri Mutter Kastoori. The grilled fish was one of the best we ever had, it was perfectly cooked and presented uniquely in a banana leaf wrapping. Mushroom was also amazing in taste and the quantity was perfect for 2 people.
Overall, it's a must visit place for mouth watering food with rates that don't burn a hole in your pocket for the quality being offered.
Went here on a weekday evening for dinner. You are greeted by a posh, neat and classy place as soon as you enter. The spacious restaurant is a semi-outdoor one, with the four rows of aesthetic seating well covered and well ventilated. That perhaps was part of the problem, as we constantly had mosquitoes for companions while eating. This and the non-functional AC on a sultry summer evening were, however, the only complaints I have.
The staff are extremely polite and courteous. We ordered a subz biryani and baby corn fry. Although the biryani was a tad too spicy, the food did not leave a bad taste. The place lends a great ambience for a long, quiet and classy dinner. Price for 2 comes to around 1200; much lesser with Zomato Gold.

Talking about the food, we ordered chilli chicken which was perfectly balanced with spiciness. Since I'm a major lover of chilli chicken. I enjoyed the food to my core.

This place has pretty good food. While the place has not been maintained well and is no longer popular (maybe because 60% of the menu is unavailable), the dishes available are fabulous. Loved the tom yum soup (not a soup person, but this was GOOD) and the crystal dimsums.
The value for money factor could do with improvement, but the place itself is good for a one time visit.
Had loads of expectations from this place but disappointed.
We were there for a friend's birthday.The service is very slow they don't even care what you want and vegetarian dishes is not up to the mark

A nice romantic restaurant on Bangalore's most popular road. It doesn't end there. They have quality staff who are polite not too nosy and perfectly equipped to provide great service that adds to the overall dining experience. You have to try a few things here, their Tom yum and Tom kha soup hit a home run. Veg crystal dumplings and chilli chicken also sing like a bird. I also liked their burnt garlic noodles. To sum it up, I guess you'd love the overall experience here. Give it a shot!
One of the finest place with the best and friendly staffs. The food is certainly good and tastier with their cuisine maintained. The Cottage Cheese Panner is the best they serve and the Hakka Noodles which gives the real chicken flavour,the drinks are finest. The creativity in exhibiting their each dish is well combined with the name of the dish.

Great food prepared in open kitchen where you can see the chef prepare them in a clean hygienic manner. The staff there are extremely professional and well mannered. They make you feel at home and take care of all your special requests. I like the ambience and the decor too- calm, clean, not very crowded.
I have been here several times. Recently they replaced their menu with Indian, continental, Thai and Chinese cuisine, which tastes equally amazing.

We went to the white plate for a late lunch last Saturday. The place was almost empty but we were glad to hear that they were still serving food and drinks. We ordered the crispy broccoli and water chestnuts and prawn hargao for starters and Thai green curry, the pork belly with crispy cracking and Thai basil chicken with fried rice for the main course. The food was disappointing, especially the pork belly - it was tough and over cooked though it came with a lot of theatre, a glass cone inverted over the big plate with smoke in it. The quantities of all the other food was ridiculously small for the price charged, only enough for one person. Also the bartender wasn’t too sure about the cocktails but we write it off because of the hour we were dining, maybe he wasn’t the main hour staff. All in all, I feel like the food, though not bad, wasn’t worth the prices and the hype.

Located near the mg road metro station, this place offers good ambiance. The staff here are friendly. The menu looks a bit different than other places... quirky and mashed up with some international cuisines or so they claim. However the food tasted pretty average. The pasta vegetarian dishes were nicely done. However the chicken breast with a cooked banana was a bit over done. The competition for Italian cuisine is at a different level in Bangalore. So I would probably have them work on their pastas a bit more to really be upto that mark. The dessert (thiramisu) wasn't great either but full marks on the presentation. A very quiet and nice place overall.

When you enter this place you immediately know its is fine dining. From the way the tables have been set up to the decor of the place, it is certainly sophisticated. The waiters come and explain each dish to you ensure you fully understand what you are eating and are able to truly appreciate the food.We were first given an Amuse Bouche which is a palate cleanser which is very refreshing. We then moved on to the Wothub Vegetable Cookie which was unfortunately very disappointing as it was undercooked and was too difficult to chew which is generally not the case with Asian food, after speaking to the waiter, he immediately suggested a replacement which was the Celebrity Shrooms. This was certainly the highlight of the day. The mix of sweet peanuts with fried mushroom is certainly not something we thought would work but we absolutely loved it.
For the main we ordered the Pine Nut, Basil and Cherry Bocconcinni Linguini which is something we were sure would work. As predicted all the flavours worked perfectly together to ensure that the Pasta left us completely satisfied.
The dessert we ordered was the White Chocolate Curacao Creme Brulee Air. The dessert looks very interesting, unlike anything we have seen before. The different tastes between the White Chocolate Brulee, the Berry Coulis and the Fruit compote worked very well together however, it left a lot to be desired.
Overall we would say that this place has some of the best presentation for food in the city. Very nice ambience ideal for a date or a business meeting. Great service as you always have someone ready at your table. But, the food can certainly be improved considering the high price point.

The best place I've been to in Bangalore yet. Great food, great ambience and really the best staff.
Each order is served with care, they also suggest if the food will pair with the drink ordered. Basics, the hospitality sector has neglected in most places of bangalore.
This place is surely for one of those special dates/celebration. Let's talk food.
The soup we ordered looked and tasted amazing, well balanced and light as a soup should be.
The starters: celebrity shrooms were slightly bitter from peanut batter, but good to taste.
Kongee crispy lamb was done to perfection with super crispy chewy lamb.
The main course: The 3 cheese ravioli with courgette and water chestnuts were to die for, especially the mushroom flavour from the sauce.
Red snapper provencale was an absolute beauty both in terms of taste and presentation. Every little elements in that complimenting each other with a lot of flavours exploding in the mouth.
Star of the day(recommend by the staff) : white plate designs. This is the best desserts I've seen or had till now. Lot of elements on plate with a silver ball which melts when you pour hot chocolate on it, loaded with surprise inside. The white chocolate meringues, light and silky, the heavenly stewed blueberry mousse, hot chocolate and many more all in a plate. What more can one ask for?

Perfect place to have a splendid dinner in a soothing n elegenat ambience, with food served a-la-masterchef style. Innovative food with pesto, balsamic, mustard and honey caviar pearls. Flavor in each morsel of food. Wonderful caring staff and waiters who know what they are serving. Subdued but good music and an open kitchen so neat that its refeshing. What a great find. Awesome.

Surprising to see that this restaurant has only 146 "Been There". I am guessing that people do not know that such a place exists which as it is easy to miss on Mg Road being tucked in behind the building which has the Bangalore Ham shop. When we went in, I did not see anyone at the Valet desk but ya, if you have no other option then you can use them I suppose. My lunch experience at this place was Just Wow and I would definitely rate it as one of the best dining experiences I have had so far.
The ambience is really nice. The outdoor seating caught our eye and we had almost the entire section to choose from though I had made a reservation for me and my friends. We were immediately tended to by the Manager who got us amuse bouche and 2 different breads (chilli parmesan and basil pesto) to kick off our meal. The cuisine is thru and thru continental and there are no 2 ways about it which is good without taking any credit away from restaurants serving fusion food involving Continental cuisine.The drinks menu is well stocked with a wide variety across options. One thing that I noticed in the menu was that there are equal (almost) number of options for vegetarians and non vegetarians across each course, so vegetarians don't have to be disappointed here! There are a couple of set meal options (4 course) too, veg and non veg, at different price points.
Aachari Hollandaise Cottage Cheese Timbale - An Indian twist to the typical hollandaise sauce (wonder if there was egg in it). Authentic pickle flavored sauce in which the cottage cheese (paneer) cubes were cooked.
Celebrity Shrooms - 4 round small patties of shrooms in a very rich and flavorful peanut butter,chilli and cilantro glaze. The glaze does give you a hit because of the chilli in it and the mushrooms do go well with the sauce. Slightly toasted peanuts sprinkled over the patties give it a crunchy texture.
Andaman Reef Cod - Crusted with panko (Breadcrumbs used in Japanese cuisine), nuts, sesame seeds all of which add a nutty flavor to the dish. The bruschetta had thinly sliced beets, radish,sprigs of asparagus and a nice creamy mayo sauce. The sage foam was purely for decoration purpose.
Pine Nut, Basil and Cherry Bocconcinni Linguini - Linguini pasta and the tomato pesto went really well together and the spice levels were normal. All the ingredients are cooked nicely and complement each other. There is very little taste from the bocconcinni cheese though.
Gianduja Chocolate Brick - The chocolate brick was by far one of the well presented dishes that we had ordered. Though the quantity that you get is not exactly worth the price, it is the ingredients, the flavor, the texture of the dessert that you pay for.
Prices are on the higher side but a very satisfying experience on the whole. 2 things common to all the dishes and that stand out, 1.) The generous use of Veg Caviar either for decoration,plating or to add some sort of a flavor to the dish 2.) Exquisite plating skills of the Chefs which makes each dish visually appealing. Would like to thank Mr. Rajkamal Gautam who was tending to us. Efficient and quick service with a smile on the face the whole time. Zomato should put this place under Casual Dining and remove it from the Nightlife section as I see reviews saying that the nightlife on weekends is not so great.
A good place to try some interesting cuisines. The food is presented really well and the taste is okay. We tried prawns and chicken. The chicken was tasty and the prawns looked better than they tasted. The ambience is nice with soft music at the background. Will definitely recommend everyone to try the place once to form your own opinion.

This place has by far one of the fanciest platings that I have seen. However what lets it down is the slow service and the shoddy cutlery. We started out with hummus and pita bread as we wanted something light to kick off our Sunday lunch. We then ordered prawns wrapped in bacon. For mains we ordered pork chops, chicken sandwich and red snapper. While the dishes tasted good and were immaculately and very aesthetically plated, the quantity left us quite hungry. White plate is not a cheap place. It burns a significant hole through your pocket for pretty food. If you want to impress someone on date night, head out to this place as the outdoor ambiance is quite cozy.
Amazing food and presentation. Veg or non veg all the dishes we tasted were truly worth every penny spent. I will definitely visit this place again to try out more of their dishes.

Been here for sunday brunch. A smal spread but really tasty. I got thr authentic thai taste of food first time ever in bangalore. Food is tasty. Cocktails and mocktails are good too. Highly recommended.
Was here with my wife for our anniversary and it was the perfect choice. Excellent service, a diverse menu that is at once innovative, and yet unpretentious. Desserts are a bit pricey, but totally worth it. Very, very decadent.
The DJ was very perceptive - he noticed that the crowd was generally over 35 this evening, and belted out some amazing retro tracks. Not to suggest that this is the only genre of music played here.

Whenever we are n Bangalore (which is at least twice a year ),we try to explore the newly opened places .This time White Plate caught our eye and we decided on dinner there The Ming dynasty rolls and chilli chicken crunch squares were good and portions were more than enough for two .The dessert was a flash flamed panacotta which looked amazing but was a let down on the taste.The presentation is excellent.Ambience is great. Service is good.All in all a good way to spend a cosy evening.

A couple of friends and I decided to go after it came highly recommended. The food is delicious. The courses starting with the amuse bouche through dessert did what they set out to do i.e.tantalising our taste buds. The beverage menu is extensive but cocktail options are limited and could do with a fair amount of reinvention and fresh ingredients. Appreciate the full shot of alcohol in the cocktail though! I liked that the quietness with no music meant conversations could be softer and heard. I am sure to visit again as also recommend White Plate.

Cons : Never visit , if you are really hungry, food takes it's own time to get out of kitchen. , And food is not all that extraordinary. Really couldn't capture all the flavours. Lobster bisque was good, My charsui pork was really rubbery and tough, which I didn't expect with this kind of restaurant, but gautham was quick replace with another dish. I think management is confused between lounge and fine dine....I think if they concentrate on quality of food and make it a fine dine restaurant then it will be a sure shot hit. Today being Saturday there were quite number of empty tables.

We came here for a quite evening dinner and we're not disappointed. The warm ambience and friendly service is evident from the start.
The cocktail menu on Zomato is a bit misleading as most of the elements are not available due to some recent changes in the menu. This put us off slightly.
But the food was good right from the palate cleansers served at the start and the complimentary bread.
We ordered the zimarkhand galouti and the Roesti. Both of which were nice. The Galouti was slightly in the bland side though.
We also ordered their signature Deconstructed black forest, which was a bit disappointing. The dessert was too sweet and lacked a certain balance. A big plus for the plating and presentation though.
Ordered Hummus Bi Tahini, Smoked Chicken Salad, Tagliatelle Con Pollo Marrakesh, Pan Seared Breast of Chicken and Tiramisu our of which the last 3 were the best.

We went all fancy this time y'all. White Plate has the perfect ambience for a date or a celebratory family dinner and good conversations. We ordered the Hummus Bi Tahini, Aachari Hollandaise Cottage Cheese Timbale, Chilli Crunch Chicken Squares, The Dunsvirk Court, Gianduja Chocolate Brick, Rocky Road Ice-cream.
The complimentary Amuse Bouche and Parmesan and Paprika bread rolls set our expectations quite high, and the Hummus and pita lived up to that. The crunchy chicken squares and the cottage cheese were cooked and flavoured well, but weren't something we'd order again.
The Dunsvirk sandwich with three meats was moist and left a good taste lingering. For dessert we tried the Chocolate Brick and the Rocky Road Ice-cream which satiated our dessert pangs but we definitely have had better.
We particularly wanted to try a couple of items on the menu which weren't available (on a Friday night) and the only qualm we had was that all the flavouring was in cavier form which got a little too much by the end of the meal. There were definitely some great techniques that make for a very interesting meal.

The food was good. A friend was on a diet and the chef happily accommodated his needs to make a wonderful salad. The starters were quite yummy. What took the cake however, was the plating! So novel and interesting. Perhaps that's why it's a part of their identity itself. And The caviar made of all the sauces was so interesting! However, the fact that they did not have just sauce to spread maybe was a downside.
The staff was accommodative and friendly.
It's on the expensive side. But I guess what you're paying for the experience and the ambience and just something new!
It's probably best to go on an occasion, rather than a casual dinner!

Thanks to Prithvi and Gautam, last night's dinner at White Plate was made a memorable experience. The food was really lovely and the attention to detail in plating was exceptional. My only pull away from being absolutely thrilled, was the cooking of the meats - the lamb and pork needs a bit more attention, and the over indulgence of the 'caviar' - flavoured pearls - they were a bit repetitive and appeared on every dish, perhaps a tad more restraint, makes them more exclusive.
Another suggestion, is a slightly downplayed, easy menu to accommodate the small people aka Children.
My absolute favourite though, was the Tiramisu. Without sounding like a Tiramisu snob, I've been largely disappointed in Bangalore with the manipulations and misrepresentations of my fav dessert. Here however, it was absolutely brilliant. Luscious lady fingers, drenched in expresso and amaretto, fluffy light mascaporne and a liberal dredge of Dutch Cacao blew me over. Just missed having a coffee with it, but am assured that they will be serving coffee soon.
It's a lovely ambience with brilliant food and a nice selection of alcohol, a must visit if you're around MG Road.

A real hidden gem in mg road.
Big space with comfortable sittings.
Ambiance- so its nice n cool. Gives you a happy vibes n feelings. Chairs comfortable, both outdoor n indoor sittings. No complaint at all. We sat outside n it rained but still it didn't hamper our experience.
Service- very good. Servers are polite and help you in selecting food. On table service is average as chefs makes the dishes fresh n prepare them with all ease n finesse n good things do take time.
Food- American corn, dragon roll, tomato plum soup, chicken breast pan seared, cajun spiced cottage cheese stake... all were near perfect. Starters quantity are less but main course is enough. Cottage cheese was little salty but that was ok.
Desserts- saving best for last. Reconstructed Black Forest cake n cassis blueberry were just divine. Every bite was just wow.
The overall experience was just amazing. The washroom was clean too. This place is picturesque too, click n capture memories.
Only reason to deduct half rating is no visible proper signage. Google maps takes you somewhere else. The boards on main mg roads are too small to notice. The board on entrance gets hidden by cars parked.
This place have lots of potential only if they market themselves n do better signages on road.
I want to start off by complementing the fabulous presentation done the chefs at White Plate. I think it really elevated every dish and has an impact overall. Flavour and visuals are equally crucial.
The food was extremely pleasant. It gave me a sense of homely comfort, but in elegant forms. Every bite had bags of flavours which tickled my taste buds. I highly recommend the lobster risotto, the creme brûlée, the spaghetti and the hummus.
I will definitely visit again. Lovely place in the heart of Bengaluru.
To start off with, white plate is located in the heart of the city and has an amazing and chill ambience. This place is the place to go of you ever want to have gourmet food. It is a very classy place and has extremely classy dishes! The presentation of each dish blew my mind! They took the time and patience to set up each dish beautifully. They had custom made caviar for every dish, whether it was an apetizer, or main course and even sweet caviar for the desserts! I would recommend this place to anyone who is a foodie and who would want the complete master chef experience
It's a good place but slightly on the expensive side. Ambience was good, so was the presentation. Sandwiches were just OK but celebrity mushrooms were good. Service was good as well
This cafe serves good food at a pocket friendly price. It's located opposite St Joseph's College of commerce. They also have English breakfast at affordable price
An amazing place for the best English breakfast. Pocket friendly too. I took 2 non veg English breakfast that had chicken steak, 1 egg and chicken sandwich and cheesy fries. It was really worth the price of Rs 600. I will definitely visit that place again and again. Seriously a must try breakfast point. Do visit it. :)

I love this place. Its totally worth it to go here. Anything from the menu is amazing, especially my favorite is the brown sauce chicken steaks with herb rice and blueberry cheese toast. The people are very friendly and welcoming.
If you are looking for a feel good weekend breakfast in a small cafe, this is the place for you. The only issue was the service took time as it was a busy Saturday morning.
I tried one of their signature dish of English breakfast with a chicken steak and it was 3.5 out of 5 based on the taste.

Go to for English Breakfast with Steak. Pocket friendly, welcoming ambience. You won't feel that you're sitting a few metres from the most busiest roads in the city, calm and quiet! Also must meet Geoffrey, the owner, a warm and friendly person. Also loved the soft rock backdrop! Overall, a fulfilling experience worth trying, at the heart of the city!

Run by a friendly and warm owner, this is a small but homely and well managed cafe. This place offers lovely food , cosy interiors and great music ! Veg options good and tasty, but limited. Good place for small groups,family and friends.
