Visited here after a long time.there is nothing special the ambiance.Today tried to have kappa biriyani.the taste was really nice and feel like home made.service is average.price is little higher in level of quantity.but ok compare with the area.

Simple Mallu food!
Located on Nehru main road, the new Kairali restaurant enjoys a prominent spot on a busy street. Simple decor, reminds one of the small restaurants in Kerala. With a banana bunch (kola) dangling from the wall and fried or steamed goodies in a glass enclosure, the look fits the bill. The food was served equally quick.
We had appams and iddiappams (string hoppers) with the chicken curry and beef curry. The taste was authentic and spicy. The appams were fresh and delicious. The service was average. Pretty good food at very reasonable price.

Happened to have mutton biriyani from this restaurant when I visited friend. I liked it so much. Good taste.. good balance of masala. But little bit dry i felt.
In my constant search for places that serve my kind of grub, I came across this small joint in kammanahalli. If you are expecting ambience, we'll this isn't the place for you. It is basic, Hospitality is simple yet gracious and as I was about to find out, food was homely and delicious.

Loved everything we ordered. My only crib would be that the fish wasn't freshly fried, I think. Even if they were to take ten mins more, I would prefer that. They neighboring table were. Mostly ordering meals, would love to try that next time. Overall happy with the food and service and the meal was very reasonable.
Been here today for the first time and we ordered the meals as first thing we want to taste since it's a kerala restaurant. The food is average and curry are also ok . As of the price it's comes in middle range when compared to other kerala restaurants.

Wow, such an amazing place, the place is jus simple. But the food that they serve is brilliantly delicious. Just in love with this place. Economical, clean, with the authentic taste of Kerala curries, (I had fish curry and natholi fry), mouth luring one.
The break fast also , has lot many options. In all dishes twe can smell taste of coconut oil and spices

Decent meals on a plantain leaf with Fish or Beef.. Or for a usual Malayali breakfast with puttu or appam with kadala Curry or Egg curry. or varieties of Dosa with the spicy onion chutney . Bang ... THE PLACE in this part of bangalore ... Enjoyed every time with great service and great price.
If your a local in Kamanahalli, then you should absolutely try this! the Mutton biryani and fish biryani is what i would recommend! The location is pretty good , it clean and hygienic though its a small place and the quantity they offer for the biryani is awesome. the best part of their biryani is that you don't feel the heaviness no matter how much you eat. this one pampers your tummy!

In kammanahalli and the place serves you good kerala food. The beef and parota, meals for lunch with fried squid, fried fish and chicken kebabs are all hits. Even their tapioca beef biriyanis is a sure shot. This is not one of those places where you can sit leisurely over your meals. It's a small place laid out with decent tables and plastic chairs and malayalam songs for the back ground. If your picky about your ambiance then I'd recommend ordering your food as take aways.
Check out the morning breakfast options as they serve steaming puttu and appams and your typical naadan masala dosa with those Malayali cups of chai. There are enough options for the vegetarians too!!

As many would know from the name, it's a Kerala resturant. Good authentic Kerala food which is pocket friendly too. They also occasionally have special items on the menu like Rabbit fry, Duck roast, oyster fry, etc. Even though it gets crowded they have a lot of tables so one won't need to wait much but don't expect too much of the ambience, its just normal plastic chairs and tables, but if u have a craving for some Kerala food one of the places that can be given a shot at.
The word Kairali itself makes mallu people to try the mouth watering dishes with curiosity. Here we ordered oyster fry and theethar fry (kada fry).. Both were amazing and pocket friendly too. It's a decent restaurant were we can sit and eat , neat and tidy too . Most of all the Kerala dishes are available here with homemade taste. So those who miss their homely food can try this restaurant which will make you feel happy. This restaurant is located near to kamanahalli signal which is easily noticed.

Typical kerala cuisine, small place but serves amazing food. The quantity & the quality of food is very gud. Tried their beef fry and crab masala was really nice. Crab was cooked well and was juicy n succulent. Only draw back no much ventilation just feel like finishing quickly n getting out of the place. Lighter on the pocket as well wat more cld anyone ask for.

Kairali is like the code name for Mallu food in Bangalore, as there are quite a few restaurants that use the word Kairali as part of its name. But somehow, this one Kairali has always been the original for me as it was one of the first few that sprung up in Kammanahalli and was the only one at that point of time that served the unique dishes that only Mallu's can offer - Appams with Egg Curry, Dosas prepared in the unique Kerala style, and of course, the numerous fish, chicken and the glorious beef dishes. Kairali here does a pretty decent job of all these dishes. The restaurant ambience leaves a lot more to desire, but the food is definitely great.
This is our kerala adda...any day, any time, for a kerala craving,this is the place we can go without thinking tooo much...
I have given 4.5 just because of the average ambience... If the ambience was better i would have surely given a five... It is not suggested for proper fine dining its more over like a mess ..But if you are single/couple who don't mind an average ambience but have some finger licking food,then you should surely visit
The must try are their beef biriyani,karimeen fry,naimeen fry,meals (their chamanthys are really good) ,parottta (tooo good),and also all beef dishes....You also get pazham pori(banana fritters) on certain days....
I can vouch for their food quality and taste... They also claim to have a party Hall but i haven't had a look at it so not commenting on that...

Walked into this place craving Mallu food, walked out satisfied.
The chicken roast is flavourful, as is the Meen curry. Most of the components of the fish meals are extremely tasty - especially the bitter gourd (karela) curry. The sambhar needs to be more tasty though.
Super value for money. Suggestion - please make appam and stew for all meals for non-kerala people like me who enjoy it so much we'd eat it at any time.
My place to crash when I crave for Kerala food. The kappa Biriyani here is just awesome. The beef curry/fry need some work but ok. The parottas are nice and the meals and fish fry is good too.
The taste is Amazing and authentic. Had some kerala meals over there and i would definitely visit this place again.

You know that feeling? When you're craving hot, satisfying, spicy food and nothing but the best Kerala fare can satisfy? Well, I get those cravings a lot and Kairali is my go-to place. And the best part? They're open all day long! The beef biriyani is very good. The pickle is excellent. The appams have the slightest sweetness and accompany the numerous curries perfectly. The beef curry and chicken stew are especially good. For dessert, you can have their renowned pallampuri or even creamy tea.
I am still in search of a place where they serve mouth watering Kerala cuisine at a reasonable price. New Kairali is close enough to my expectations and I liked what I had from here on my first visit.

A typical kerala cuisine restaurant, a little above your regular kerala mess, in the mornings the ghee roast dosa, appam, beef curry, masala dosa is what I liked. In the afternoon, the meals, fish roast. Fish curry, beef roast are my favs, all in all decent place for authentic kerala food
Totally no frills place, with cheap plastic chairs and granite table tops, it would be a pathetic excuse for a restaurant had the food not been good.
It's actually styled more as a 'mess' (pun intended).
But the food, good it is, at least on most days, and definitely a bachelors paradise. You will get all the standard Kerala fare here - beef fry, kari meen, kappa, idi appam etc. I've been here for breakfast - ghee roast (dosas) and coffee - classic combination, for lunch - beef curry and appams and for dinner - kerela meals with beef fry. All in all a satisfying experience in the food department with fair pricing, though the consistency sometimes is not there. The very fact that they have survived in Kamanahalli for so long (I've been going there since 2006) means they have what it takes and a regular fan base to eat what they dish out.
Again not a 'must go to' place, but if you have a craving for mallu food and on a budget, it's the better option around kamanahalli

Four in the afternoon is quite a terrible time to feel hungry and going to one of the fast food outlets is out of the question. No beef at McDs, not a great fan of chicken and the pizzas can sometimes be atrocious, but if I happen to be in this neighbourhood, I can always depend on Kairali. Been coming here for years and the output has stayed pretty consistent and one always knows what one's going to get. There isn't much by way of selection and at times the fried seafood can be as crispy as a potato wafer but that can be remedied by telling the server not to kill the fish again; merely gently frying it for a couple of minutes on either side.
The duck and rabbit is best avoided since the amount of flesh on it will not fill a thimble whereas the other dishes are quite all right. No mesmeric cuisine that will have one shouting its praises from the rooftops; just regular mal fare at excellent prices, robust and dependable. The place has the usual offerings and they can alter it to suit one's preferences, if one so desires. I prefer the food a wee bit spicier than what they serve, and they make it so, failing which, they bring me some chillies. A decent place, devoid of fanfare and one that my pals and I frequent if we happen to be in the vicinity.
Best appam ever had from Bangalore. Crispy sides and thin mid portion. Appam with Chicken stew is a good combination as they serve best & fresh and very tasty Chicken stew with Appam. Also had puttu with pappadam. Nice service as well. Restaurant has two floors.
They also sell fresh Jackfruit chips along with many other chips. They don’t have private parking slot but you can park your car/bike on the road side. There’s enough space for that.

This place tops our list for Kerala Food. The food is great and very affordable. Their staff is very helpful and their turn around time is great. It's has great options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians.
Had breakfast and it was really good. We ordered appam, kadala curry, egg roast and egg appam. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is well maintained. There is adequate seating capacity as well. There are also snacks (packed) available right outside the restaurant.

Kerala parotta and what parotta with Kadapa kurian also nice. Red boiled rice brings a taste of Kerala right away with moru curry. The owners were making sure you had a good meal with a genuine warm friendliness.

Nice Kerala style restaurant with great food and great service. Meals are served on plantain leaf placed in a plate. Service was awesome and the servers were ready to serve more when something was emptied. There are tables on the first floor as well. Hand Wash is on both ground and first floor whereas the restrooms are only on the first floor.
Fresh juices are also available along with many varieties of Kerala style snacks. Parking is available on the street. Didn't face any difficulty in finding the parking when we went there in the afternoon.

It's a nice quaint little place that serves really good food, we ordered for a couple of fish meal and it was fantastic, extremely reasonably priced at 320 per plate with unlimited rice and other veggies, great service and their pickle and chutney is a must try. Parking will be challenging and is definitely a pain point.
I went to the hotel doubtful about the food quality. But I had to change my mind after having lunch from Kairali. Very authentic Kerala meals , very nice service, food was very good . Price was reasonable with the quality they provided. Will recommend for families and friends dinners.
Kairali has been around Kammanahalli for over 20 years now. Recently they have moved into a new building near Jyothi School. The food is as usual fantastic. You will get the mid-travancore original taste. Price is slightly up compared to other kerala restaurants in the neighborhood. But that's ok, I think. The ambience is good. Dining area is neat and clean. Hand Wash area is kept neat as well. Friendly staff. Restaurant is open till 10.30. You can park right infront of the property. If you are particular for mid-travancore taste of kerala cuisine, then don't miss this place.
