Have you eaten ANGRY BIRD FRY? You might have played... Yeah! You heard it right, the Chettinadu style restaurant Anjappar not only serves Turkey, Duck, Rabbit but also Angry Bird also popularly called Teetar.
Legendary place with some legendary stuff being served. Dry mutton gravy was amazing, mutton cooked to perfection. Surmai or Vanjaram was stale and not upto mark. Mutton biryani was good.
The egg kothu parota was so good that it reminded my hometown...the portion was just right. Unfortunately it's not available on zomato...get it on swiggy.
The place has delicious thali that you can enjoy without killing your tummy. The rasam is great, though sambar could be better. The vegetables served along are tasty though. Their nattu kozhi rasam and curd rice is delicious too. The staff is friendly and it's a great place for weekend lunch.

Ambience
The place is big in size with a minimal decoration which gives it a look of fast moving restaurant rather than a relaxing one. Tables are laid out in arrangements of 4 and 6 seaters.
Food
Food options here are extensive in both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Snack items are only served at specific times while remaining items are available during lunch and dinner hours.
The food taste and presentation are average and don’t incite an excitement either when they are served or when eaten. Quantity of the food is decent and you won’t feel the quantity vs price mismatch here.
Service
Servers here are adept in their work and the food you ordered ends up on your table pretty fast. Getting suggestions here can be difficult sometimes with only limited options coming forward from the person taking orders. Also the habit of asking the customer if they want to order something else doesn’t exist here. We had got the bill for our food even before we could call for the dessert. It gives the impression that the restaurant is trying to clear tables as soon as possible to serve more customers disregarding customer satisfaction completely.
Overall
The place is a good place if you want to grab a quick bite but won’t suggest it for good dining experience. The restaurant is located on the 1st floor with no working lift which will make it difficult for people with walking problems to climb. The place is usually packed so reservations are suggested.
I was alone on Sunday for lunch, crowded . Was curious to have meals with southern spicy curries . Found good combos - sufficient for 1. Ordered for South Indian Non Veg Meals, which had Nethili Fry and all there variety of Non Veg Curries (I liked except both Chicken and Fish Curry, Mutton Curry)

That's all I can say about this place because o visit almost every week as it's in next building to my office. Must try Biryani and Sea food. They have authentic sea food speciality.

It's our second visit in last two months. We have tasted Parota, Chettunad chicken gravy, karukudi chicken dry, neer dosa, egg aapam, kal dosa, idiyappam, fried chicken biryani, special chettinad non veg meals and anjappar special egg gravy. Located in perfect place where it is so calm and ample space for parking. Looks like they have taken service quality serious from their so timely service. Quantity of the gravy or fry items were so so little. Please do not order kothu porata from here. It will be so little in quantity. Egg appam was not good as well. plain porata with curry was good for the price, so with meals and biryani
Visited Anjappar on Saturday with family as we were looking for some great Chettinad food. And we weren't disappointed!
The restaurant is on 3rd Main, 100 feet road, near CCD and you won't miss it. The place looks neat, but not over-the-top fancy either! Coming to the food, we ordered Special Anjappar Chicken masala as a starter. This was good, quantity could have been a lil more though. For mains, we had Chettinad fish curry which was delicious and special Karaikudi chicken which was also great. The naans were fabulous, so soft, warm and perfect, best naans I've had. You must try the elineer payasam, which is served in a glass (like milk) and not in a bowl. Absolutely delicious, full of tender coconut goodness!
Staff is helpful and recommends dishes to try out. Request Zomato to upload their new menu which is much more elaborate than what's currently visible. Many more visits to Anjappar are required to try out more delicious dishes!
Experience was not really good as we expected. Biryani need to be improved. Ambience was good. Scope to improve a lot. Staffs were good. Hopefully will come back..
I loved this restaurant and I would not rate them less than 5 because I could not find any flaws. It was my first time trying chettinad style food and I knew what to expect because I was aware of the flavours and cooking techniques implemented in chettinad cuisine. And what I got surpassed my expectations. We ordered idiyappams, mutton kothu parotta, mutton varuval, and prawns 65 that was chef's special and lemon soda to water it all down. Everything was just so right. These prawns, they were the crunchiest, but not at all oily and they retained their sweetness and juiciness. The mutton was perfectly cooked and oozed out flavours. The idiyappams were light and the chutneys served along with them complimented everything so well. The kothu parotta was very very different from what I imagined it to be, but was a bit heavy.
All the staff were exceptionally good, the service was prompt and the orders sprung out of the kitchen full speed. How?

Best Chettinad style food you will ever get in Bangalore. The Tawa Fish fry is mind blowing here. U may order anything from menu and you wint be disappointed ,,☺️😊

I was there with my friends in Nanjappa it was it was good and specially we like to have something we had a chicken biriyani and kebab and chicken lollipop chicken tikka and we ordered some chicken fried rice chettinad chicken roast masala and kadai chicken it was like a homely food and I love to come back again to Nati style and it was what we order the service also was very quick and and overall all the food we order was very good thanks to annayappa I love to visit again
A good classy place, bit pricey but definitely worth the quality and taste.
Also, would really suggest you to go for veg meals. It’s amazing!

Visited this place for the first time and did like food over there. We tried Chicken garlic kebab which was tasty and healthy as well. Going to the main course we had plain rice rasam and chettinad chicken which was a good combination. Would plan to visit again.
I love the veg and non veg Thali here. Fish and prawns were amazing. Guntur chicken had the exact flavour. Only turn off was it's crowded. But food is the best.
Great variety of non veg and well prepared. It was far too spicy. Too spicy that a Hyderabadi Biryani would seem like a big relief. Great service and a fine dining place.
My friend has been telling me about the authentic chettinad biryani that this place serves and when I went there, I had to agree with my friend. The taste was so authentic. I totally loved it. Ate more than my appetite allowed me. Also the chicken kebab and Andhra spicy chicken, which we ordered as sides tasted good.
Liked their Mutton soup and chukka.
Rest items were OK and fish items were fresh and tasty especially the fish fingers.

My favourite order is the pepper chicken and parotta from here. Apart from that, their other chettinad dishes are good too. Their packaging is pretty good too.
This is a good place if anyone ever felt like trying a good South Indian-style Biriyani. The Biriyani tastes good and the ambience is also nice. I liked the Turkey starter at this place, The place is always crowded on Sundays and this is a testament to their quality as far as I can tell. There is a lot of choices to choose from the menu and also the prices are reasonable.
Food was good ...and liked the taste of chettinad but they don't deliver the food little far from the place and I want that to fix from restaurant or food delivery app end .

Dropped by here to satisfy a craving for biryani and it turned out to be a perfect choice.
Ordered for a Chicken Tikka biryani and meals for the hubby along with a Fish fry and Prawns fry. The starters were on our table within 10 mins of ordering which is something I love in these restaurants. The biryani was all I could ask for and it was my first here with Chicken Tikka biryani since I order the normal Chicken biryani. My hubby loved the combination of veg meals with fish fry and we downed the food with fresh lime sodas.

Ever craved a solid Tamilian Thali where the rasam has just the right amount of tamarind and pepper and the sambar is relatively thicker? Anjappar is an excellent option for the Thali lovers out there. The variety of accompaniments along with the great non-veg options like chicken 65 always makes for a great meal experience. Especially like to mention the egg Bhurji which was quite different from the usual I have had earlier. This place is also quite light on the pockets, but with great quality of food. Well, my experience was good. I tried crab soup and some other dishes, names of which I don't recall. I think one was puttu paratha. It was very delicious.

It is at this branch I tried their paya. It goes with Appams better than the best couple in this world. Thalai Kari kozhambu is an addition. Want to try their muttai appam soon.
Amazing food ! My father prefers having native dishes like thalacurry, boti curry etc which are generally not available in other non vegetarian hotels. This was really good. Must try.

Anjappar offers authentic south indian non veg and veg cuisine. It's very famous for their lunch Meals both mutton and chicken and different fish cuisines.I tried their mutton meal and I turely liked it. Mutton gravy was full of flavours and right amount of spices, nicely cooked mutton pieces dipped in thick brown gravy( exactly the way I like it ). Chapatis were soft and fresh too.
We also tried one chicken starter, chicken Sholey kebab and it was soft, tender, juicy n well marinated, I just loved it.
Staff's were bit overloaded with work during lunch hours, so we had to always lookout for one to attend us.all in all we had a great time !

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise as we didn’t expect much in the first place. We found it as expected a simple South Indian spread. The menu had a lot of choices for non veg and we ended up ordering anjappar special curry and fried chicken. The food was very tasty and the service prompt. We ended our meal with gulabjamoon. Will definitely visit again.

Authentic Chettinad dishes with plenty of heat and spice. All of them tasted just perfect. Prompt service and the waiters were proactive, suggesting dishes based on the diverse dietary requirements of our group. A good variety of seafood dishes using exotic ingredients like crab. The only complaint was that the lift wasn't working, so it posed a problem for the elderly members to access the restaurant.
Ordered this carrier veg meals from Anjappar which serves 2 and charged us ₹351 from Zomato but was so worth the money like we can literally have it twice a day in terms of quantity. And quality wise I’d suggest they could a better Rasam and give a thicker curd and not watery.

After tiring day for lunch visited this place in Indiranagar have been here many times love their elaneer payasam and food.
The ambiance is cozy with soft music in the background and staffs were polite .. we had been here for lunch and ordered chicken pepper fry , gobi moru moru , seeraga samba chicken biryani , pulka and lime soda.
Loved the food taste ,chicken fry was dammmm good with soft chicken pieces it was so good that we ended up ordering again. seeraga Samba boneless biryani was also tasty with tender chicken pieces.. Gobi was crisp and nice. All our tiredness was vanished after having this wonderful meal. Only regret was we didn’t get to taste our most favourite elaneer payasam..
Request to the team please have this payasam available on daily basis than on specific days ..

Perfect Chettinad style Restaurant. It's really good and has all the South Indian style food. The taste is good and feel it's worth the money spent. Goo ambience and wonderful staffs. Salads are good enough. We had non veg food and it was really good. It is located on 100feet road and easy to find it. Better place to go with family and friends.

If you wanna try chettinad food then this is one of the famous places for it. Non-veg is the right choice here especially chicken. Sea foods are also available and tasty. Located at a prime place so easy to come here too. The quantity of the food is also for the price and even the order doesnt take too much time. Try sea foods here you'll like it. I didn't get privacy space to adjust my pant belt otherwise I would've had more food.
Tried the Special Anjappar Mutton Biriyani. It tasted really good for the first time I tried it. Porotta and pepper chicken curry gravy was also good but they have an almost similar taste of chettinad in every dish which is kind of bad. Maybe it could be their Signature taste.
Very costly. Parking will be taken care of by the service boy standing in front of the restaurant.

Crab soup was nice & spicy, mutton pepper dry was heavenly, mutton liver fry was awesome. Chicken biryani was not up to the mark. But overall a hot & spicy experience.
I came for good food this hotel satisfied it very well the taste is so good but the servicing speed and the atmosphere is not good childrens will be shouting they won't control them and servicing speed is so late and they forgot what have we ordered but that's okayyyyyy food was good that's what we need it was topnotch in this particular things
