2019 year has been passed at a speed of light and also the holiday season is over so now its the perfect time of the year to gear up with the same routine piece but being an avid foodie the restaurant expedition is still going on and on and on!!! But the question is… which uncommon restaurant? Do you also ever feel like there are just too many to choose from and in the end you are in dubiety which one to visit? Well Republic Day is just around the month and to commemorate, you can visit this militia vibes place as there’s more than merely a cafe.
Army subsist globally and nothing can compare the military impedimenta to the ordinary or the most branded ones as the soldierly gears are uniquely exclusive, real stunner and made eminently for greater longevity and since I was a member of CDF in my schooldays, I used to ensnares with the uniform, guns or other tools and even at the present I have an ardour for armed gadgets and owing to the fact, till now my hubby and I were used to order from online portal as we thought there is no military force implements retail store for common folks. Surprisingly a couple of days ago, my hubby was searching for tactical gears outlet in Bangalore and its never too late to re-discover. OLIVE PLANET - Premium Military Gear was top on the top of the list that made us to drop inn.
The name of this spot is OLIVE PLANET as it represents the regimental colour of Army and it is located at Sandiv Orchids, Kattigenahalli driven by ex-army men. Four years back, when they officially opened this place, it was basically a warehouse and had an office in R T Nagar and at a leisurely pace it into store plus gradually they dipped their toes into a cafe alongside the shop.
Their store is embedded with all sorts of Military universe gears, some hiking as well biking gears . They have a variety of Caps, Bags, helmets, clothes, shoes, belts, jackets, fuel canister and the list goes on. If you wanna explore more or buy things, you can check their website online.
This military themed Cafe is completely set outdoor on one side in quaint yet breezy surroundings and has the military vibrancy everywhere. As you walked in, you are welcomed with the pleasant whiff of air from big trees and the outlook itself exhibits the typical day-to-day military campsite setting. This noshery is shrouded in sandy brown toned canopies that are nicely lined-up co-ordinate with white lamps plus and the floor is equipped with the bed of rocks that adds the aesthetic to the environ and blended with green painted comfy picnic wooden table seatings harmonised with general tableware. While the other side is packed with lush greenery and natural grassland. Apart from this, they had briquettes of charcoal at a side that must be in use for bonfire at night and it perfectly capture the charms of the army sentience.
Coming to Menu, it is loaded with simple cafe-ish food avail in veg and chicken like Soups, Starters, Omelettes, Pizzas and Burgers, Hot dogs, Pasta and Steaks, Fried rice and Noodles including Beverages and Desserts. Food arrives in a jiffy and everything they served is pretty hot in best prices. Even-though, we visited to buy stuff and our tummies were already full but being a foodie, we couldn’t come without having some doses of eatables.

COFFEE : A cup of immensely hot reviving brewed Coffee is surprisingly home-alike. It was filled with coffee aroma and tasted refined plus rightly sweetened. Loved the quantity that fit together with the price.
FIRST-COURSE -
HONEY CHILLI POTATO : Crispy deep fried potato fries some with rind and some rindless bedaubed in scorching orangey-red hued honey-chilli moderately gooey piquant sauce with vaguely sweet and garlicky tone magnified by chilli flakes and crushed oregano are truly toothsome.
MAIN-COURSE -
PENNE DE ARRABBIATA : This veg version of creamy cheesy short wide tubes pasta partly imbued in a red spicy sauce made with rich tomatoes and hot chilli peppers meticulously commixed with thinly chopped garlics, sliced red, yellow and green bell pepper plus tiny mounds of cream enriched by shredded cheese and black olives circles is satisfactorily tasty.
SWEET-COURSE -
CHOCOLATE BROWNIE SUNDAE : This hot and cold dessert platter smells delicious and comprised of searing chocolate brownie chunks with mixed nuts topped with vanilla flavoured Ice-cream ball augmented by chocolate sauce is richly yum.
The food is good and reasonable plus its one-of-a-kind-experience to have a food in camp encircle. Its particularly soothing yet comforting and is like spending quality time with friends and fam. All staff members of store as well as cafe are highly amiable, hospitable and sanguine.
Apart from this, they have a shooting sport section and military based outdoor activities to experience army life at some extent so yes you can give it a try.
The Cafe can accommodate 60 peeps but if you wanna organise any kind of small event or party then feel free to book in advance as it can house 250 folks at a time.

Lovely place, outdoor Military themed based ambience is just amazing. One can explore amazing products, do target shooting while having great food. Their Honey chilli potato and white sauce pasta is just amazing. I can eat that again n again. Good service and great staff if you want to know more about the place do visit.
Me and my friends enjoy going on long rides . Of late cafe olive has been regular hangout . By default,I relish eating momos and noodles .cafe olive serves some best continental and Chinese food .An ideal place for anyone who wish to take a drive/ride not too long within the city limits . Nice place to unwind from the busy city life .
Cheese omelette and sausage omelette are my personal favorite .Menu ( variety ) ,the quality of food has improved in recent months . Calm atmosphere with lush green lawn on one side . My pets are equally excited to visit cafe olive . Recommended !
Visited with a few friends, don't know how the day went by, with all the target shooting & guns around ! , lot of cool genuine military stuff, nice military ambiance with a laid back vibe & helpful staff. Please don't shoot your friends ! :) , their rifles are the real deal. By far some of the best cafe food i have ever tried , the burger was juicy like the one on travel and living :D , cheese omelet was on point.
Cons : Better to book a table in advance during cricket matches, since they are usually booked out then. Especially if your coming from far.

By far the best restaurant in Yelahanka. Food is just amazing. Very Friendly staff. Great location and sporty ambience.. Good for Family outing or a friends reunion joint.. Pricing is worth every penny!

The set up is proper military camp style and to top that there's a shooting range and army apparel + accessories shop attached to the cafe.
Food is great! I recommend ginger tea and noodles, my favorites.
Best place to be for a get together ,had a small bday party recently . Nice ambience . All my friends liked the food . We had some fun trying our skills at the olive shooting range as well next to the cafe

Olive cafe . This place has been near and dear to me for over 3 years . Irrespective of the underated reviews that I read ,I love visting olive cafe for it's ambience . Tucked in the outskirts of Bangalore,me and friends often visit this place for they serve the best hospitality . The staffs are welcoming. The food is reasonably good . It's a new outlet still in it's inception stage and the team is consistently trying to add new variety to it's menu . The quality as supposed to the last few months has improved . My personal favorite is the white sauce pasta and chilly chicken . If u are running short of budget u may order for French fries . Being a foodie I haven't come across any other cafe in blore which serves as much as quantity of food which olive cafe does.
Mosquitos are no more an issue . They have installed ceiling fans in all the sitouts .

Amazingly amazing !! The food they serve at the price is just unimaginable. Loads of quantity in food and a perfect class in drinks. Military ambience like no other and tooo peaceful during evenings. I had chilly potato and chilly cheese fries here with mint lemonade. Within 300 bucks we were overloaded of our stomachs.
4 stars because they don't have cold water to serve in these heated up days.
Water was normal but tasted like boiled.
So overall perfect 💯
The ambiance is quite and satisfying. The quality amd quantity of food served is also value for money. There is also a gun shooting zone in the cafe premises but you have to pay for that.

You'll have to keep your eyes out for this cafe because it's quite easy to miss! The concept is amazing (military mess style) complete with a warehouse of merchandise and a shooting range. We tried the classic pancake (doused in too much syrup for my liking, but my husband seemed to enjoy it) and the chocolate pancakes (fluffy and sweet). We also tried their lemon tea (which was nice, but slightly too sour). I loved that they had a little army comic to read at the cafe - lent a very authentic feel to the place.

Café Olive is one of the places around the Reva College area which is quite popular among youngsters. It is a place that serves continental food and has a very rustic feel. I have heard about the place from couple of people and wanted to go there and personally try the food. Let me share my experience.
Ambiance
The café has got cool looking interiors that have seats which are like sitting in the college classroom. Keeping with the rustic feel, they have gravel on the floor which again is quite different compared to other places. They have some cardboard cut-outs of dress lady’s clothes-ware, not sure if they were meant for decoration or they were left there to hang by some guest. It is an outdoor café which gives camping experience by having a tent covering the seats. There is a separate kitchen where the food is made.
In the same complex there is also a huge store where many equipment’s for adventure sports and biker gears are available for sale.
Something I should highlight about this place is the mosquitoes. I was there at around 5.45pm and found lots of mosquitoes. And the funny thing is that instead of doing something about it, the staff gave me the mosquitos killing bat which we use at home. It was quite funny that a restaurant resorts to this kind of measures rather than de-fumigating and putting some mosquito repellents.
Food
Food surely does seem to be the reason for the popular of this outlet. But let me share my experience.
Cold Coffee – This was one of the drink I wanted to try on a cool evening. The taste was just okay, and I did not feel anything special about it. I would have loved to see some whipped cream but it wasn’t to be. It was one of the most ordinary cold coffee I have taken in a long time.
Paneer Barbeque – A sub that contained spicy cottage cheese in Indian Masala. The taste was pretty good as it had loads of veggies– cabbage, black olives, onions & tomatoes. There were plenty of paneer pieces and the special Indian Spices along with some gravy. I enjoyed eating the entire sub and it was quite filling.
I would have like it more if some chips or French fries were given along with sub.
Overall Experience
The place is quite good and can become one of the popular cafes if they can take care of mosquito menace in the evenings and improve on their food offering. I think cold-coffee, a very popular drink needs improvement. I feel that it has the potential.
I will rate my experience at 3.5/5 but I still feel that the place flattered to deceive.

The best cafe I have ever visited in recent times.
We ordered the chicken pasta was delicious (costs 220) worth for the money you give.
And then we ordered the potato wedges it was mouth watering for sure, the quantity served was more than enough for 2 people (costs 80) I just loved it
Later we ordered a grill chicken steak it was okay not bad, costs 250
At last we ordered a sizzling brownie desert it was absolutely fantastic worth 140 💯💯
Only was dissatisfied with the menu as pizzas and burgers are not available
But still a helmet pocket friendly place.....
This place being too close to my college is a everyday goto place. The cafe is setup with outdoor seating and using the tents. Basically a defence area kinda look.

Okay food. For the money per dish, amount is more than sufficient for a person. At night, there is problem of insects since it's in the open, or else you will have to sit in the dark. Liked the army vibe and the military concept of the place. I wish I could shoot, cause there is a cool shooting range!
I tried one of the subs(a bit dry) and pasta(which was good).
The place is good to hangout and chill. The ambiance is quite like an army camp, which attracts people. The food quality is also good, and moreover the rates are pretty low as compared to the market. I would love to have pan cakes, they are delicious !
If you love anything about the army life or camouflage, head to this first of it's kind café. An army camp setup ambience is what it makes lovable and the best part is it's not that pricey too! You sit in an open tent and have your food with the military styled water bottles. Being a huge fan of any military related, I just loved this place at first sight. Coming to the food, their Corn Cheese Croquet is too good. Also try their peri peri french fries and Paneer Barbeque Sub. There are also some great stuff that they sell there (also related to army style). Rush to this place to spend some hours living like in a military camp.
Will definitely visit this place again soon!

The café is inside an army
tent, covered with some army camouflage net and surrounded by lush
green trees which give you feeling of the army camp setup. From seating
arrangement to the table accessories, everything was army inspired
sparing the food!!!
They have kept the menu simple but with many options and none to
disappoint you. The served food portion is enough to fill your tummy.
Start your meal with the freshly made smoothies and your choice of
starters. We loved the Raspberry Chocolate smoothie and Corn Cheese
Croquette. The sub, Cottage Cheese Avenue did the justice with its
name. It was loaded with cheese and fresh vegetables with barbequed
cottage cheese. Their Penne De Arrabbiata pasta was lip smacking with
the perfect amount of sauce. You will be delighted with the dessert
options they offer. They equally have good options in non-veg front.
While you are waiting for your order to be served you can enjoy reading
the anecdotes of war heroes. The place is comfortable, open and value for
money.
It's a perfect escape from the city’s hubbub!!!

An very refreshing chilled mint lemonade. The balanced taste of sugar to lemon juice to the muddled mint was excellent.
The armed forces styled Dining space is a delight to be at.
The food here is really good with a decent pricing and the quantity of the food served here is enough to fill your tummy. The flavoured sodas are available at just Rs 40/-
Its a café in a tent. Good hangout place.
And the food is good.
The quantity they give is usually sufficient for more than one person.
Pancakes are good. Refreshing drinks. People are kind too.

In my journey of experiencing the various gastronomic pleasures around my home, I came across this gem of a place. Thanks to my tagged friends, I visited the place today.
Though the cafe is new, the place is well known for it's Army inspired store for buying goods. They have a well stocked godown for all the adventure and outdoor activity related items.
The cafe situated right outside the godown is also inspired by the army tents and seating area. The owner being an ex-army personnel is friendly.
Berry breakfast smoothie

Raspberry chocolate smoothie
Out of all the smoothies, the berry breakfast smoothie was the best. It had a mellowed down flavor which relaxed the taste buds.
The banana smoothie was a disappointment. It neither had the crunch as the name suggested nor did it have the sweetness of the banana. There was a sour taste to it which along with the rawness made it a disliked drink.
The other chocolate based smoothie was again good but not the best.
Mint lemonade - A typical refreshing drink.
Cordon Bleu
The chicken breasts filled with cheese and jalapeno was a stunningly good looking dish with a red chutney making it more appealing. It was a perfectly balanced dish which was loved by everyone.
Crispy fried chicken steak
My favorite among all the dishes. A very crispy batter fried chicken with sauteed veggies, pickled veggies, veg cutlet and rice was just finger licking good. The cream sauce, though a bit salty for my taste, was a perfect match to the chicken and was mildly spiced. The entire presentation and the taste combined appealed to all the senses.

French fries with Peri Peri and cheese
The most common dish made extremely pleasing with a nice crunch and softness with Peri Peri seasoning.
Basa fish steak
Though the dish was amazing, I somehow am not a fan of basa fish. The fish is too squishy in texture. The sauce was high in taste.
The wonderful aspect of this experience was the price which was inclusive of all the taxes and charges. There was no extra charge of any sort.
And the best part was the 20 % discount for defense families.
One more noteworthy mention would be the Chef who turned out to be a funny yet interesting guy. His interaction with us was an ice breaker.
All the best to this place and to the owner. I would definitely visit this place again to try out their other dishes.
This place is little far from Bangalore city but I really liked the way they have done the place, big and outdoor seating (army tents). Yes, this is an army themed cafe next to their own store (Olive Planet). I really liked the quality, taste and the portion of the food they served on affordable price. It's a must visit place if you are tired of city's chaos.
Good place to spend time. Quality food and service. Only problem is it's filled with mosquitoes. It had target shooting earlier which is no more. There also a store for Olive Planet merchandise. It also has a Ather Grid installed.

I enjoyed my visit to this beautiful cafe with my friends. Food is excellent and decently priced. We enjoyed each and everything we ordered (which includes Bruschetta, White Sauce Pasta, Cheesy Fries, Pizza, Litchi Soda, Coffee ). The ambience is good. Staff is very courteous and soft spoken. The place is pet friendly and There is a big parking space for two /four wheelers.
Excellent food!!!! However avoid visiting between 5 to 6 PM, mosquitoes kill you. However worth visiting the place... the chef is awesome and cooks some delicious meals. Even love the ambiance

We have tried the white sauce pasta, gobi manchurian (the best i've eaten), burgers - Mediterranean and paneer and the milkshakes and flavoured soda.

I recently discovered this place, this place has great ambience with military style table and benches and tent cover.
The food here is great, Tried the Pizza, great taste generous toppings and cheese. The Devils Wings are really good(but be aware of the hotness) these are Hotttt wings.
Pasta is their signature dish and it shows the pasta is absolutely delicious definitely a must try when here.
Flavored Sodas were okayish, too flavorful less soda tasted too sweet for my liking, but they added extra soda when I asked so that's great.
The wait staff here are really nice and polite.
The ambience of the place is wonderful. The food is delicious, especially the burger and pasta. I went with my friends for lunch and we enjoyed our time there. There were books and novels to read too! The place is friendly and the food is worth the price.
