I went here on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Place was crowded with people. I literally had to wait for 20 mins to get 4 idlis.
Most people preferred to get parcel (get there own box for parcel).
If you want to have there, order at once as per your need ( won't get idli in second round easily over weekend)
USP - Hot & smooth idlis (just like home made )
Cost - ₹10 per idli
Finally we got one good more breakfast place in Malleshpalya!!😍
It was much needed in that are we will not find any good restaurants for morning breakfast!!😍
Iyer idly as name says they provide only idly chutney for 20 rs 2 idly!☺
There is no any other choice in this place!😒
Idly so soft like home made and chutney is jus a good combination for that idly!!😜
If you are in Malleshpalya Don't miss to miss to visit this place!! I think it will be open from morning 7- 12!! 🤔
Top class taste with cheaper price ..home made feeling and great chutney as well. Best for get parcel to home at weekend. Hygenic place and polite people.
Great place have been eating here since years. Next to my house.. best idlys available . Taste is first class. Five star is the best rating I can give
Four star doesn't mean it provides a Taj dining experience. But in its class of hole in the wall shops this is certainly one of the best. Usually such holes lack hygiene. Not here. I found everything clean, floor clean, no wastes lying around. The chef aunty has a motherly aura. Overall good energy. Idlys were soft but had some unique texture. White chutney is the only available side and it tasted very good. Not overly spicy at all. No sambar which I think adds to the cleanliness since sambar leaves a lot of mess around.
In short if you are around the area definitely worth to stop by and try. Parking is hard to find on that busy road though
Small hole in the wall kind of place run by a mother and son power duo. I've been searching a of good idli place with good chutney neat my area for some time now. The best I've found so far was Brahmins cafe which is quite far from my house . I was very happy with the quality of idlis and chutney at Iyer. The chutney is nice and spicy and not too watery. They also encourage people to bring their own utensils to carry back food home if they want. There is an option to eat there itself but you can only sit on a few plastic chair set up outside. Quite a good option if you want a quick tasty and cheap breakfast.
Perfect place to have idli's if you are a idli lover. I visit this place almost daily for breakfast and never got bored. They serve only chatni with idli here and no sambar just a note as few people need sambar with idli.
They dont have a proper sit out and it is crowded most of the times. The rating given is purely for the idli's :P
Mouth watering idlis for idli lovers in the area. Worth every penny and the chutney is really amazing. There's also a lot of rush in the morning.
Five stars just for the menu. I love the way the guy decided to fill it up with the 10 series multiplication table, even though he has only one item. 1 idli? 100 idlis? Doesn't matter brother, you're gonna pay the same.
Nice idlis served hot with tasty chutney. If you leave aside the location, it is one of the best places to have idlis. Will recommend this place to all idli lovers
Amazing idlis...one of the best in Bangalore I have eaten so far...and chutney is a killer specially if you love spicy chutney...with green chillies. I go there almost 3-4 times in a week. Please note that they are open only for breakfast, till around 12 noon. Absolutely recommend!!
The best idly-chutney in Bangalore, hands down. Typical iyer style idly served with spicy out-of-the-world chutney. Not recommended to stand and eat there as it isn't so comfortable. Pack your idlys and get em home ..buy vadas from any other place and eat them together. Adiga's, CTR, VB, Brahmin's coffee bar etc can't match up to the idly standards set by Iyer idly.
And btw...this is in Vignan nagar. Not in thippasandra as stated on the page.
Offers super yummy, mouth watering, idlis i have ever tasted in bangalore. Giving 4 as been little disappointed during weekend rush hour. At times the idlis are little undercooked. Or else, the place is yumm.
Amazing softness in Idly and chutney gives u a unique taste.
A very good option for good morning breakfast.
Should try to eat there only.
This is the best place for a morning breakfast in Vignan Nagar. Awesome super delight idly with superbly amazing chutney.
They have couple of chairs outside the shop to sit and eat but I would suggest to take parcel and eat at home.
The idly is freshly baked in front of you and too light on your belly.
That's the best thing that can happen to you after morning walk.
Tips: Another reason to get the idly packed is they give you diluted chutney when you eat there which reduces the taste, better to taste the undiluted one.
Super IDLYS in Whole Tippasandra area😃:) Initially was very less priced!! Recently to match up with the increased cost in production materials the price has been slightly revised, but still reasonable compared to market trend. One of the oldest food joint in Vigana Nagar.
Avoid eating out there as the spot have limited chairs as well as you will be eating standing on the roads, mainly weekends.
SUGGESTION : PLZ DO SERVE SOME SAMBHAR ALSO & OPEN SOME MORE TIME ON WEEKENDS!!
The chutney you people serve is KILLER, But little spicy for my taste buds!!
A must visit idly joint in this locality!!
And I refer this place to all who love a quick and healthy breakfast in the busy morning schedules!!
I can from Canada and had my 1st breakfast here... It's purely amazing.. Feels like home and the chutney is the best all over kaggadasapura
Went there early morning to see what the buzz is about. A very small counter like place with a few plastic chair put on the roadside. But idlies here feel real homely. light steamy idlies with just the chutney and no sambhar. Not as legendary as Brahmin's or SLV's but still better than A2b, udupi, sagar ones.
Ended up eating 9.
Awesome find, thanks to Zomato.
They work limited hours. I waited for half an hour and was the end product was worth the wait.
Super soft idlis with some distinct flavourful chutney. No spoons. No sambar. You just stand let these piping hot homely idlis melt in your mouth. Sooper fun !!
This is one of the most authentic South Indian joints in the area. Their preparations are simply awesome and doesn't at all taste like outside food but homely. The place is small but is crowded most of the times and that proves a lot about its quality.
The dosa batter that they sell is too good even of one prepares dosa at home with it. Wonderful experience at very reasonable price.
One of the best idlies I ever had. The chutney is good, I saw a guy ask chutney 5 times to finish 4 idlies. I took parcel of 8 idlies and ended up wishing I had got more after I was done with all. The shop is very busy during weekends and idlies don't get time to cool down...
Will surely visit it again ...
This is an affordable place that sells great idlys. It's a very small place, with just a few chairs outside. So if you think you won't be comfortable sitting there and having your food, I would recommend you to get the idlys packed.
The chutney that they give complements the idly well and is really tasty. If you live close by, this seems to be a perfect place to regularly get your food packed from.
But if you live far off, visit this place if you badly crave for good idlys. Otherwise, you may end up thinking it wasn't worth the effort.
I just bought this idly from "Iyer Idly", actually came all the way from Whitefield to this place just to buy from here for my family.. i should accept that the taste was so yummmm i felt so homely food... especialy the molaga podi was exceptionally awesome and the fragrence was very very authentic. And the best part is the cost.. Very affordable.... Everyone must try it out.. I give 5/5.. Thumbsup
Talking about iyer idly- its all about idlies and only idlies. Nice, soft, white, fluffy and hot idlies. Like they take out idly right from the steamer and serve you hot whatever time you go. This is a place where you can go everyday for breakfast or for your evening snack or for dinner. Put a piece of it into your mouth, close your eyes and relish the taste of it.
Living in Vignan Nagar-Kaggadassapura.... This is a joint not to be missed. To me the aroma of the steaming, hot, soft idly that spreads from this small shop when you approach it, is the first aspect which made me a frequent visitor to this place. Not to mention, the quality of Idly and Chutney... just Superb! One aspect I love about these idlies is that, these can be consumed without Chutney, Sambar or any other accompaniments (at least for me!). The chutney that is given along with parcel is a thicker version which is a bit more spicier (green chillies)...needless to say tastier. Try it out.
iyer idli is a place i frequent twice a week. they have only one item idli and only side dish available is coconut chutney. but this idli is super soft and made freshevery 10 minutes and it literally melts in your mouth. with spicy coconut chutney this tastes brilliant. The only good joint in kaggadasapura where you are guaranteed homely food without falling sick. if you love idlis, this place is a must visit. if not, then this is totally worth a try and you might actually change your mind.
If you love idli and want only idli, this is a place for you. This place as name suggests sell only idli. Once You take a bite and it melts. The idlis are delicious and served with chutney. This place a small shop, you need to stand and eat.
People pack their tiffin from here and is very famous in the area. They also sell idli batter and chili chutney which is worth a try
Service is fast and courteous
Thanks to zomato I could locate this place. Staying very near to this place for last 6 years I didn't notice this place till I locate the only 4* rated food joint in my locality.
Very small joint only serves very hot fresh idli n spicy coconut chutney. Idlis were really awesome I ended up eating 6. I could only remember eating so much during my home visits or on family festival.
10rs / idli for big sized idli. Staff looked friendly and served extra chutney happily.
Parking is a bit problematic as this shop is on busy street. Map points exactly.
Surely going to be 1 of my most visited place for food soon.
As many mentioned I didn't miss dosa or vada but tea or coffee with hot idli would have earned 5*.

This place can be classified as more of a takeaway - idly and chutney are their forte - must say, both are really awesome - chutney powder can be bought - frankly this one is yummy too
Personally this is a very local joint known to the residents here, walk up to the place early in the morning and you can see mothers, fathers and kids with dabba's taking a parcel for their lunch or their kids lunch. The Idlis are great soft and fluffy no comparison to my moms own make( she makes them the softest), but the chutney is simply unbeatable. The moment there is a confusion on what breakfast is, we run down to this place for a parcel of the idly and the chutney (sambar lovers sorry, please excuse they serve only chutney).I remember the uncle who used to run the shop and started it, every time i see his photo in the place i am reminded of him, his son you can see in the shops on holidays and some other times very cheerful guy and very pleasing. if you are ever in the Vignana Nagar area for breakfast or dinner this place is a must visit. parking is a bit of an issue for cars, bikes shouldn't have any problem.

I heard about this place from one of my co-workers. He advised several times to try out idly & chutney in this place, but never got a chance to try. Recently we both extended our shifts, so made a visit around 7.30am. All I noticed was people carrying lunch boxes to take parcels and waiting for Idly & Dosa Batter from this joint. Person who owns this joint is so courteous and polite!
This is very small joint and they serve only Idly & Chutney. Idly is soft & fluffy where chutney is super spicy, chutney is typical Tamilnadu style with coconut as major ingredient.
I should try out the batter during my next visit.
Highly recommended place and price for 2 people would be maximum 100 INR if you are a heavy eater.
They serve (should I say pack) the basic idli. Done well with just chutney. This place demands a review that is less than 140 characters. As simple as that.
Probably the best place in Bangalore city to get idli. I find the idlis discretely soft here. Their chutney is another differentiation. Because of their specialty, they even sell their own batter & dry chutney.
Yes if your low on cash and need something safe n heavy to fill you this is the place reminds me of home so much ... The Aunty and the people serving there are very kind ...
Yummiest Idli's that one could get in the area! Economical as well. Must visit. Chutney is a bit spicy...if you can get hold of a garam cup of chai or coffee, life is set!
IDLY is so tasty, hot, soft, spongy. Nobody could beat the taste of the coconut chutney here, Its so spicy and yum goes perfect with their idly. If you get parcel. They provide a thick version of coconut chutney, that is another peace of heaven. I badly wish, they start a branch in Electronic City. I'll pay in advance for years :)
I usually, order 3 or 4 idly for my first plate. I could not control myself. I end up eating 8 or 9. Believe me, I cannot eat more than 2 or 3 idly's usually. Even in saravana bhavan or a2b. And this is the one place, which I totally feel, I'm ready to run later to burn the extra cals.
Price is very nominal. If you are in Bangalore and haven't gone there, you miss something seriously.
Here, they bake idly in traditional way using white cloth. That is one more reason for me to go there. In Bangalore, in many places, they bake idly's with Plastic paper foil, I hate those shops.
I have no clue. How this place is under rated. One of the main reason I used to go to my friends place @ CV raman nagar to crash down, is for having this idly. My friend biat me saying we can go to Iyer idly, I'll go from electronic city to there.

a very good place for having soft idly's... the chutney is good as well... a simple and good shop. have been there a couple of times and they are maintaining the standard...
Excellent Soft idly served here... The only problem ppl may face is like they won't serve any sambar or vada.... They serve idly with chutney... They even sell idly and dosa batter....
A nice place for all d idly lovers.. a place where yu get Soft Idlies and Spicy Chutney..
Very soft and tasty idlis. Very good for a quick breakfast or dinner. Mind you it's a small joint and no place to sit. Either stand and enjoy your idlis or take away.
They serve only yummy chutney. No sambar though.
Very soft idlies with spicy chutney served here which tastes awsm!!! But nw cost of a plate has increased and amount of chutney served has reduced (for parcel).
Simply the best in this planet!!
If you want to taste super soft and hot idlis, this is the place to be. This place is famous for its trademark idlis and it is very popular among the people who live around that area, This place is especially crowded during morning school hours and late evening.
The only drawback is that there is no sambhar and they serve only coconut chutney to go along with idlis. But the taste of coconut chutney compensates it. The idlis are resonably priced and the service is swift. Takeaways are most popular here but they also provide few chairs for
customers who prefer to have their idlis here. They also sell well packed Idly and Dosa batter.
The idlis are so soft/fresh and along with coconut chutney makes a deadly combo. No wonder these idlis are the de facto breakfast of most of the school students who live in and around that area.
Definitely a MUST Try.
Amazing soft idlies with super good chutney and Vada, the price is really affordable, just ₹26/- for 1 idly and 1 Vada with chutney!
Kesari Bath was also good, super hot and tasty, priced at just ₹25/- per plate! Amazing Experience overall!
Me and my friend had stomach full and we hardly spent 200 for both of us combined! Travelled about 18 kms one way to have this and it was satisfactory!
➡️ Taste is Best.
➡️ Affordable price for the quality they are providing.
➡️ Chow Chow bath also tastes good.
➡️ Better take parcel because there is no dine in,you have to stand and eat.
After reading about the story of this place I just had to make a visit. A small establishment with a lot of love. The chutney is a bit different. Spicy which I liked. It is a decent idlli but I preferred the Vada. It was crispy and soft on the insides. Would recommend coming in on a Sunday morning when there is no rush. Wish they served tea or coffee too.
Simple place with basic darshini style thindi. Their idli vadE is very popular. Their idli is nice. Not the softest, but it is served warm. The chutney is decent. A touch too watery and lacked seasoning for me. Vade is somewhat crisp on the outside. More home made like than a gari gari darshini vadE.
Reasonably priced, no seating. The place is very popular in the area.
I discovered Iyer Idly through YouTube, like many others, and decided to try their idly based on the enticing name. The idly exceeded my expectations, ranking among the yummiest I've ever had, and the accompanying chutney left me speechless. Despite being a small cafeteria, their culinary magic amazed me, especially when witnessing their unique process.
While they offer a diverse menu, my sole focus was on the idly, and it was a decision well worth it. The simplicity of my experience was what made it stand out, great food and efficient service. I'm already planning to return next weekend to relish the delightful idly once again. Iyer Idly has become a go to spot for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a delicious and satisfying culinary experience.

The Idly is really amazing. Very soft and size is also 👌. Chutney is too good. We get 3 pieces in one plate, and we can take more if we want. I have gone many times for a breakfast in this place. It's onion and garlic free and also soda free. ( as it was written over there )
They have idli, vada, khara bath, kesari bath. Idli is light and sof. Chutney is a bit spicy.
Iyer Idli as most of them know about this delicious & tasty serving Idli chutney shop. As most of them had seen this famous idli shop on YouTube, Insta reels etc.
The history of this shop begins with selling idli batter at the initial stage by family. Later switched to the Idli shop. The shop is located in a small place in Vignan Nagar. Serving very limited items like Idli chutney, Kesri bath, Kara bath, Vade with very minimal price for the items. Their intention is to serve good quality tasty food with very limited items. So customers will look for the quality and the taste and this shop has maintained the same from the beginning .
They don't add any east or baking soda for batter. The shop sells more than 50k idlis in a month. This Idli shop started in 2001. With 1 idli price of Rs 1.50 paise and now per idli Rs. 13/-.
When I visited in the morning there was Que to the Idli shop. Sometimes there will be a Que you have to stand to get the delicious idlis. You can feel the aroma of coconut chutney with very smooth idli.
This is a must visit Idli shop if you are an idli lover. As the place is very small, there is no stand table or sitting facility to eat. One has to stand outside to eat. Or they give parcels as well with extra parcel charges.
Just amazing.
Very cheap, very tasty south indian food. Menu has very limited option, but it's best.
Special mention for khara bhath. Chutney is spicy and yum.
Idly and vada was also awesome.
Kesari bhath was ok ok.
One plate idly contains 3 pieces of idly and chutney.
Vada, kaara bath and kesar bath are available
Kesari bath and kaara bath together are sold as chow chow bath
6.30Am to 11:00Am
6:00pm to 9:00pm
And Sunday evening are closed
Just on the main road and can be easily spotted
No sitting area but observed people waiting in the queues
They mentioned no preservatives are added and use only refined oil or pure ghee for cooking
No plastic usage
Idlies are soft but I felt a little less salt in chutney according to my taste
Only 4-5 items on the menu and all sold out within 2-3 hours every morning. Fluffiest idlys and vadas. Really yummy coconut chutney and red chutney. Simple breakfast joint, nothing posh.
Corner Idli store gaining popularity across bangalore after their story covered by media houses. 100% stands up to their claims of quality and humbleness.
Weeknd morning expect line of approx 15-20 folks during peak hours. Can see local folks bringing their own containers to pack food (super like this tradition!).
All stuff is humble, ask chutney 5 times they will serve with smile.
Now to food! Truly soft and amazingly fresh idli, server with coconut chutney. If this is not comfort food, then change the definition of comfort food.
Vada are fresh, full crisp and soft inside.
No sambhar served.
Idli Podi Masala also served for 20/- sachet - approx 50-100gms.
Suggestions: Add a option for extra payment for ghee also somwhere in menu!
I visited this place for an early morning breakfast around 8-8.30 types. I had heard a lot about
the place as they were featured on big YouTube Channels. Even though it was a weekday, there
was a good crowd waiting in line patiently. I got my turn in 10 minutes or so. I ordered two idlis
and vada. The best thing about the place is that even after all these years, the rates are very
reasonable. The idlis were very soft and went really well with the spicy coconut chutney. The
vadas were very crispy but I felt a lot of black pepper pieces were there. It could have been less.
Anyways it was a great breakfast and very pocket friendly as well.
A quaint little place that serves authentic South Indian breakfast options - limited though. Their chutney was a pleasant surprise, because I knew idly would be good anyway. Parking would be tricky as they are a small joint.
I got idly and vada packed, the chutney was so flavourful and the vada was crispy and the idly was soft. It was perfect. 10/10 recommend.
Super tasty Idly and Vada, there might be a little wait time as they cook in small batches and there usually is a queue with big others (have seen people being hot packs and fill it with Idly). Prefer takeaway as there is no specific place to have food.
