A good place to visit to try Donne Biriyanis without pinching the pocket.
They have a small menu catering mainly non-vegetarian items. I have tried their Donne Chicken Biriyani and it tastes true to its name - spicy and yummy. Served in the traditional dried leaf basket, they serve it along with an egg and sliced onions and lemon which is a good combination.
Have tried their chicken kabab and pepper chicken too. Quite different from what you get elsewhere but tastes good.
Priced nominally, service is decent with sometimes delayed service on account of crowd. Staff are also ok with the need to remind items sometimes.
Vegetarians are adviced against visiting this place.
great place . I loved the biriyani as they use the small rice preparation and not the usual basmati . also pocket friendly. the second favourite dish would be pepper chicken.

The lolly has tiny chunks of onion marinated along with masalas with gives a flavour of onion pakodas and slide into lollipop on the next munch.
Service is on first floor. One waiter and one cleaner,for a crowded place. Service needs a check. Except that, it’s a good to go place and total value for money.
You get to taste a good yummy donne biryani.. you have only one veg option as it's mostly of nonveg.. kebab is yummy an would be served hot.. you get black pepper chicken in semi gravy type.. I would rate it 4..I would suggest to have some veg options so to attract the vegetarian....

This is the perfect place to satisfy all your biryani cravings without having to spend too much. Ordered chicken biryani and chilli chicken, and both were served hot and fresh. The taste is really amazing and unique. The rice is similar to Pulav rice.

A very decent and cheap restaurant near Orion Mall. Perfect for those who don't want to burn a hole in their pocket at the food court of the Mall. I ordered a Chicken Biriyani combo. The quantity was great and food tasted pretty good. The combo had the Donne Biriyani with atleast 7 pieces of chicken, two kebabs, two gravy chicken pieces and a soft drink too(12 rupee glass bottle).

Had lunch here today and got a chicken biryani and fish kebab. Both tasted decent and the service was quick and efficient.

It is nice hotel to have a biryani, peacefully one can enjoy their meal. We ordered Chicken biryani and one Chicken Kebab, Chicken Biryani was good,served in the style of Donne biryani. I didn't like the taste of chicken kebab, it was a little bit dry and seasoned properly. A nice place to try once.

Visited this restaurant based on suggestion from a friend. The restaurant is small and decently arranged, the menu is limited and quite cheap.
Ordered chicken biryani and kebab. The biryani was served in the palm leaf cup, the rice was completely flavored with masala with unique taste similar to the pullav. The kebab was crisp and good.
Recommended for nonveg quick lunch .

They have a limited menu. Strictly non vegetarian. Our usual order is Chicken Biryani, Chilli Chicken, and Pepper Chicken. Everything tastes good. If you enjoy spicy food, this is a good option on a cold, boring evening. Not a great fan of the Chicken Kabab here; very chewy.
P.S. - They do deliver; not updated on Zomato though. Give them a call.
It's a nice place. Had been here for thr first time. The food is pretty good. The biryani combo is very good and for the price you pay, you get fairly good quantity of food. The only thing not good is they don't have anything for vegetarians, at least that was the case when I went with my friends. Hope they will add a few vegetarian dishes just to care to the needs of the people.

Ordered mutton biryani taste was very good as expected. A good amount of soft mutton pieces and good rice quantity for Rs.130 in a decent dine in is a win win for both pocket and taste. Next time I wanna try mutton pepper roast.

Quite a good place to be but not the AUTHENTIC Donne Biriyani unlike its Competitor SHIVAJI MILITARY HOTEL. Too good on the Deep Fried Kababs I can promise. Ambience is great and so is the service. Chicken is well done and mildly spiced. Overall its a good place to Fill your Tummy.
The speciality of this restaurant is donne biriyani. The biriyani was good, i opted for a mutton biriyani the meat was cooked really well and all the spices were in right proportion. Decent place to hog chicken biriyani and oil kababs. Ambience is ok ok for eating with family. However once we ate there and some of us had good poisoning. Othertimes no issues. Lol. It's your risk. But it decent for biriyani and economical. Better than ammi's!

Something about this grew on me. The biryani is not the normal kind. Its very plain, but after trying it a couple of times, I have started to like it. The chicken combo is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place. Give it a chance.

Personally i dont like this kind of biryani at all. Anyways, i had been to this place because my friends are fans of this so called donne biryani. For them, the biryani was good. Just like most of the users who have given the reviews here. But i found the so called biryani/chicken rice bath very cheaply spiced. And at 90rs for a chicken biryani, it is not even filling nor a whole hearted treat or feast. Ultimately, it depends on your personal tastes and preferences. But this coloured, flavoured spicy rice is not Biryani any day.

This a different type Biryani.Not a masala one or Not oily too but a healthy biryani.They add some different spices ( i guess palak, pepper etc). And the dishes also prepared same way.
You can feel the chicken is freshly prepared in a healthy way with some magic spices.
With Chicken combo meal(160/-) you will get a bucket(leaf) of Biryani+chicken chops(2pieces)+Chicken kabab(2-3 pieces). with a CocoCola(200ml).
The Biryani rice is really spicy and tasted good. It is cooked really well.
I felt Biryani here is really healthy.Didn't generate much heat in the body after having a chicken combo meal.I think this is the good effect of the spices they added in chicken. You must try once.

Donne biryani was the reason why I was here this Saturday!
Before I go ahead with the review,.. If you are an ardent fan of "Hyderabadi chicken / mutton biryani", the food presented in this place would not sound / taste interesting.
The ambiance of this eatery is average. Gives you a feeling of being in a well kept canteen. Ground floor has a standing table & used mostly for take-away orders I believe. Top floor is the place where you sit & eat.
The menu card comprised of just around or over ten items. You know, sometimes I like this because, they serve you very few items cooked to perfection.
Waiter holding an android to take the orders attended to us & we settled for mutton & chicken combo.
Combo had biryani, curry, dry dish, boiled egg with tomato-onion-yogurt salad & a small coke.
We were told that they usually serve mutton combo having mutton biryani, mutton masala & egg masala. Since they were out of egg masala, they replaced that by chicken chili.
Our mains came out at the same time. The rice of the biryani had ditto flavor in each. Only difference were the pieces in both. Chicken biryani was topped with chicken lumps & mutton biryani was topped with mutton chunks.
Biryani had immense amount of pepper & we felt the burn in our throat & mouth as and when we ate the biryani. Had an average flavor though.
Chicken combo had chicken nuggets sorta thing & was done pretty good. Also, the chicken curry.
Mutton combo had mutton curry (tasteful) & chicken chilly. The mutton pieces were tender & tasty in all of the dishes.
Quantity of the biryani was really generous & I had to doggie-bog most of it.
The bill was 370, no taxes. That's freaking less. way lesser than less keeping in mind the quantity & quality of the food.
If you are around Rajajinagar, & wanna try a different version of biryani, this is the place to be!
I have always tried donne biryani in many joints... But this place is really great... Not jst the biryani but evn the ambience and service... They have changed the whole point of donne biryani... All the other places u have to wait in the queue and stand and eat in a hurry... But this place u can jst have biryani like in any other restaurant... And they serve the authentic donne biryani... And the price is too low... I was expecting biryani to be more than 150 bucks but its too less.., place is worth it..
got to say that this place serves one of the better donne style biryani !! (the best being in chickpet of course) .. well there's not much anything else in the menu apart from this.. this is a good Take away place (avoid service upstairs as the lights are to bright., and might just give u a headache) .. lol

Biryani Day is the best place for a non vegetarian. It's a paradise on earth for non vegetarians. The biryani here is to die for. The chicken here is so soft and nice.
I was shocked to see only a few reviews for this place, that's probably because it's so new. But trust me, this is THE place for having authentic donne biryani. The biryani here is spicy and really tasty. Mouth watering nonetheless. Love the way the biryani is served, adds to the authenticity of the place. Absolute fan of this place.

We ordered a chicken biryani combo and a mutton biryani combo. The combo came with biryani, chicken kabab, chicken chops and a bottle of your desired soft drinks. The biryani is served in an authentic style, within a leaf bowl, to retain the flavors. Had a very fulfilling meal, loved the service. The ambiance of the place is amazing. Will definitely go back when i am in the vicinity.

I am a huge biriyani lover. I went there for the first time seeing zomato reviews. This is a 50 seater restaurant located in a busy area.
I tried chicken biriyani combo. Biriyani was pretty good with juicy chicken pieces and the curry & kabab were also quite tasty. I haven't tried sivaji or chickpet biriyanis yet but surely this is one of the good food I have treid so far.
There was a smiling waiter serving food superfast. Ambience is little disappointing. Parking the vehicle (mainly 4 wheeler) is really challenge.
Overall good experience. Probably, I would try this food once again.

Eating biryani at a "pakistani" hotel is always dangerous. If the contaminated oil doesn't give you cancer, the salmonella or a drunk jihaddy will probably do you in. Forget eating there, I don't even accompany friends into such joints.
If you are like me, you will be thrilled with Biryani Day. Clean as a hospital, systematic as a army camp and people are polite too ! They were happy to bring me a veg meal from a neighbouring hotel while my friends were eating the biryani !!

This is my favorite Biryani place around Bangalore. You must try the biryani rice with mutton chops. And it's quiet reasonable compared to lot of biryanis which tastes bad and highly priced.
