Surprised with low rating on zomato. This place has been my goto place for authentic rolls. Not much on ambiance. Visit this place only if you love rolls

Best biriyani in town, if you're missing the Calcutta taste. Comes with the 'aloo' too :) the chicken gravy items are also very good. Home away from home!
Kolkata type biryani at Bangalore ! Mouth watering. Good food and excellent waiter service. Location is convenient too. Try out for #bengalis_in_bangalore!
I ordered Chicken rolls from this place, they were really good... The quality was really good, however I would suggest to improve the packaging.... Will definitely order again...
I've been a regular visitor of this restaurant for their Biryani and their rolls. The food is good in general and is great place for takeaway.
Best Bengali style biryani in Bangalore and cheese kababs are awesome... Do not miss the "Phirni" (type of sweet similar to Kheer / rice pudding) a must for all foodies...
Ordered a couple of times from here... In love with the Biriyani cause it contains "AALU".
...And being a Bong, that's actually we look for in a Biriyani.
Delivery is on time and prices are a bit on the higher side.
But, whatever cause it contains "AALU". And that's all matters.
There are certain dishes that I specifically like at Lazeez and go back again n again for them.
- Tandoori Chicken: Extremely well cooked and with perfect spices. I always have it with rumali roti and the green chutney. I like the tandoori chicken here more than many other fancy restaurants.
- Double chicken roll: one of the best chicken rolls! Very well cooked and perfectly sized chicken pieces: Iam very picky about this in my roll and the one at lazeez offers a great one!
- Phirni: love it!
-Biryani: for those days when you feel like having a non-spicy biryani. It's a lil too greasy for me though.
I have never liked the ambience of this place, always prefer to order at home.
Great Kolkata style biryani but don't expect good service
Price reasonable and you should try the chicken chap as well
Not good for vegetarians
Parking is an big problem; you really have to find it in some nearby alley given it's real estate location
Phirni is good as well
Real treat for folks looking for Kolkata food but have the appetite to tolerate the cons as well
3.5 one for biryani, chap and firni
After long time authentic bengali biriyani! It was so tasty that u couldn't resist myself. I ordered mutton biriyani and chicken biriyani and chicken chap...and at last firni!. It was seriously awesome in taste...those who miss bengalis biriyani...they should try..
If you crave for Kolkata biriyani, chaap, rezala this is the place to be.. don't expect fine dine service as the rates are economical.. try the phirni at the end of the meal...
Eat only the 2 or 3 items that this guy specialises in and you won't be disappointed
Rolls, mutton biryani , roti and kassa Chicken or mutton . Period .Don't try anything else and youll rate it 5 stars :) . Expect a Bengali taste on all dishes since it's a bong restaurant
Now this is a tricky place to judge.
Lazeez is an authentic mughlai paradise, period. Don't expect a great dining ambience, courteous staff, spic and span cleanliness.
Just go there to relish the Biryani, Rolls, kebabs, tandoori roti and curries.
Again, just go there for good mughlai food.
Biggest positive: value for money, rolls
Negative: ambience is a little cramped
Recommended dish: double chicken roll
Located close to the now popular roots restaurant. Car parking will need to be managed on nearby lanes. The seating on the ground floor is only two tables. There is seating on first floor, no lift available. The tables are a little close to each other, so the place seems a little cramped. The service was decent.
The food is good. Their rolls are very tasty. The are Kolkatta style rolls. The rolls are reasonably filling. The chicken starters were all decent. The quantity was standard. The butter naan was not great, was not very soft. The other Indian breads were decent. The prices are kept low, making is pocket friendly.
On the whole, it's a place for a pocket friendly meal, especially if in the mood for rolls, otherwise ordinary.
On a lazy Sunday afternoon I happened to order from Lazeez. The food was delivered on time hot and fresh. I ordered Chicken Kalmi Kebab, Lazeez Special Chicken Cheese Kebab, Chicken Barra. Everything was very tasty and I loved all the three dishes. Perfectly cooked and great flavors. I would love to try their other dishes and the prices are reasonable too. Definitely worth a try!!!!
Good biriyani place if you like kolkata style. I have experienced home delivery service and they are quite efficient. Though not a fancy place but quite good if you like quick kolkata bites
Pratheek Ponnappa (Grubitizer.com)
+3.5
My experience in Lazeez is limited to rolls only as of now.
Ambiance of this place is average. There is no dedicated parking spot. Situated on a main road hence gets noisy at times. I have tried most of them from their menu. They serve Kolkata rolls- maida bread roasted over a huge pan with slightly fried fillings. The rolls are prepared in counter facing outwards, it look similar to a takeaway kiosk!
The menu has a lot of offer in terms of variety and, the place is less crowded so if you are in a hurry to grab a quick bite then this is the go-to place.
Been to this place quite a few times!
Craving for some Kolkata Biriyani, best place to have in Bangalore! Rolls are amazing, that crisp 👌🏼 but a little oily!
Chicken Chaap and Paratha is good!
Phirni is awesome :D
We are loyal customer for years. Lazeez Biriyani was almost authentic Calcutta Biriyani and we liked it compared to Hyderabadi Biriyani available everywhere. Spice is less and generally taste is great.
However nowadays they have serious competition with Arselan (Alishaan) in Kormangala itself. They do well in quantity and variety of choices.
Lazeez restaurant ambiance is very down to earth. No fancy and typical street side food restaurant.
The rolls and biryani are to die for .. Nothing else matters .. You don't go to Lazeez for ambience you go for the best Kolkata rolls in town and the most authentic Kolkata biryani.. Period . I could eat their biriyani every day and not get bored .
Even before knowing what a Kolkata style Biriyani is, I have been a big fan the Biriyani from Lucky Restaurant in Mumbai. That joy of discovering the big fat potato buried deep inside the Biriyani is not only fun, but a reminder of how cultures across India are very similar. I am from the south & we dare put a potato in our Biriyani. However my mom would never make a Mutton curry without adding a few potatoes, & I believe that’s how an authentic Kolkata style Mutton curry is made as well.
Between my trips to Mumbai (which are not very often) I get the best Kolkata style Biriyani right at home when upon request wifey found the recipe of Lucky on a old edition of times, online. But whenever I speak proudly of this to my Bengali friends, am always given references of great Biriyani’s served in Kolkata & in a few places in Bangalore. {Lazeez} is one such place that tops the list of recommendations.
One fine day, I decided to try them, just to see how close they are to the Lucky Biryani, Mumbai, but most importantly how better it is from what’s served at home.
I know am treading a dangerous territory, however I swore myself to be honest or at least hope wifey never reads this review.
After ordering the Chicken Biryani for a takeaway, I did manage to order an extra portion of the biriyani potatoes.
Now to the verdict, loved the Biriyani, it definitely lived up to the hype it generated & I could truly understand why any Bengali would end up here while missing Home style Kolkata Biriyani. The flavours were subtle, but strong, the chicken wonderfully cooked, the sweetness of the onions permeating through the rice, it was absolute delight to know that you get something as authentic as what I sampled in Lucky, Mumbai.
However, I would still rate the Lucky version and the one made right at home, slightly higher than Lazeez.
But hey, am not going to stop with the Biriyani, there is so much to try along with the Biriyani & a visit is definitely pending with family.
Till then, my quest for a replacement to Lucky, here in Bangalore will continue by trying out other places for that Authentic Kolkata style Biriyani.
Double chicken roll is Awesome . I ordered it online using swiggy .Delivery was Quick.I have heard that they have very good non vegetarian dishes.
Awesome food especially chicken roll and biriyani of chicken. Very good place for non vegetarians and a lot of good taste in everything but speciality is the one mentioned above. And chicken curry is awesome
Nice place to get North Indian Biryani...in Koramongla.
Tastes also appropriate.
Price is also reasonable.
Great taste. Biryani and chap is good here. Good place for budget nonveg food.
Good food in a reasonable rate...required fast service.
Good Bengali food available. But less options on fish.
Good on taste. Ambience of an usual roadside eatery.
Deliciously served and 🐔 Biriyani is the best.
Great Kolkata style rolls and biryani
Try biriyani here. Firni is also good
Great food. Decent seating
