Dindigul Thalappakatti biryani was in my bucket list from long time.
I ordered: Biryani rice and Gun fire chicken. Biryani is cooked in jeera samba rice with authentic Tamil Nadu style species. The masala in biryani had a flavour of cassia & fried onion. Taste was clement. Raitha and non veg gravy provided with biryani. Non veg gravy was enhancing the biryani taste. Raitha was pretty dry, that’s may be because it was packed already and delivered. If raitha was slightly watery, perhaps I could have tried with raitha as well.
Gun fire chicken, the name itself made me that it could be eccentric dish. It’s one single chicken piece. The masala of this chicken was giving hint of coconut oil taste with pepper flavour, but it’s a great savoury.
All together great experience with the taste. I know, I must try other varieties from this restaurant and will do it soon.
Due to Covid-19, the restaurant has definitely taken appropriate safety measures to serve their customers. You can see the sanitiser was sticked to the paper bag.
Good quantity of price the mutton biriyani was yummy... And I ordered gunfire chicken 🐔 that's also spicy with combination of the biriyani love u thalapakkati..

I recently ordered their latest product addition - Gunfire Chicken. They have a couple of combos available where you could save 70 bucks if you club it with biryani and also get a free bottle of coke.
The gunfire chicken itself was super spicy and came in the shape of a gun. The chicken biriyani is made with seeraga samba rice, so if you're unaware of this or having this for the first time, you may not relate to it immediately. Give it a shot and see if you like it. It's quite light on your stomach and doesn't have too much Masala like other biriyani styles.
I would order again just to have their gunfire chicken which is extremely rare to get anywhere else. Top class packaging and amazing taste.

Tried their mutton sukka, gunfire chicken and seeraga samda rice chicken biryani. Just fell in love with the food. Even had kothu Parotta, well spiced and good amount of chillies. The rice absorb the flavours well and fill the space around with aroma. The curry leaf touch to gunfire chicken with legacy spices was just mind-blowing.
I have tasted this Biriyani both in France and US and found the taste pretty unique. Decent quantity as well
One of the best and tasty biryanis available, especially in bangalore where good biryani options are pretty low. Though it doesn't match with the famous Hyderabadi dum biryani, this biryani tastes altogether different and kind of like a pulav.
Dear thalappakatti.. We visited in your indira nagar branch today I saw the box of iftar it's a attractive box.. And we order 04 box it's soo good 😛😇 and enough of 2 person.. I like that.. Thanks thalappakatti..

Best place to taste native South Indian pulao/biryani!!!Must try Boneless Mutton Biryani & Chicken Sukka from this place !!!😍😍😋😋
This is one of my favourite in indranagar. I have both dined and parceled here. The mutton biriyani has its unique taste and the chicken pepper fry just melts in your mouth..but even better is their service, the restaurant staffs are so friendly and you get warm cozy feeling here.. last time I parceled here and I had a two months baby in the car. There was a lot of crowd and we could not wait long.. when I approached the manager and told the situation, he was so friendly took the order on his name and parceled within 5 mins. The customer service is amazing. If you want to have an authentic TN style food, this is a must try hotel.
Must say every dish that we’re served to us was mouth watering... enjoyed their Chicken Tandoori which was quiet juicy and the best was the amazing flavour of the Chicken & Mutton Biryani...

I visited this place as I love Biryani it was recommended by my friend to try out. I went for lunch and ordered mutton korma biryani along with mutton Sukka Fry. I enjoyed the biryani it was delicious. The biryani came with Papad and raita. Mutton Sukka was tasty. Over all love this place and would come back again for biryani.
We visited the Thalapakatti restaurant for the first time this evening and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The biryani was out of the world and so was the chicken sukka starter we had ordered. Supremely delicious. A special mention for the excellent service and we would like to commend Miss Roopa for her warm and hospitable service. Her suggestions were very well appreciated too. We will certainly keep returning to this great place, for sure. Keep up the good work!👍🏼👍🏼
I'm writing this just for Mousumi/Moushami. She's a waitress here and absolutely brilliant. She's very kind, patient and has a smile always. She ensures you're always attended to and ensures your food's in front of you asap. When I asked for bill she asked me to be seated and to finish my food as there was more on my leaf. Told her I was full. She greeted me well. Came over and told me a good night as I waited for my cab. Not always we meet such pleasent people as waitresses. Management, please let her know she's very special:)
Strangely it was the alert service that I liked most in this place.
The Dindigul boneless mutton biryani had a good aroma of mutton. And the sides of onion raita and the gravy were good, they replenish this as many times as you like. Same with the papad. A big thumbs up from me for this.
The rice itself was mildly spiced if you are used to the spicy versions. I could not distinguish it as Dindigul Biryani like I sometimes am able to.
We also had the boneless chicken biryani, the rice was ok but the piece though big enough was a little chewy and the spices had not seeped through. We felt we should have ordered just the biryani rice.
For the side, we had the pepper chicken (drumstick) south style. This was good.
Washed down the biryani with lime soda.
Ambiance is pleasant. The staff seems young and just fresh off the boat (to Bangalore), the table service people were brimming with energy and enthusiasm. As I was waiting for my friend, the food was getting cold and the steward offered to keep it inside and bring it back to keep it hot. Like I said earlier, service is the best part. The food was not exceptional but overall it was a good meal.
Awesome ambience. Customer friendly.
Chicken black pepper fry is a must try dish. Biryani is a signature dish. Awesome food with awesome ambience and Friendly people around.
Tasty biryani, packed crowds, courteous staffs and a nice homely smell of food🥰 is all I can say about this place. Definitely must visit. They also can provide you biryanis in huge buckets for home parties. Go and enjoy!
Been with a group of friends. It has a simple ambiance. We ordered many starters and chicken biryani. Their famous chicken boneless biryani got over so ordered the normal biryani. It was fine. The starters we ordered were chicken roast leg, kola urandi, moru moru prawns, vanjaram roast. All were good and had their own unique flavours. Would recommend Chicken Rasam Soup - it has a nice tangy flavour with a hint of lemon. Buttermilk was also spiced right.
The only disappointment was the service which was a bit of a let down. It took a long time for Vanjaram Roast to come. Maybe because the place was full, on a weekday.
All in all a good experience.
Very good service. Chicken biryani was delicious and chicken was evenly cooked. Raita was perfect and unlimited. Will dine again.
This place is a must for biryani lovers. Dindigul style biryani, made with jeera sambal rice, and with all the right flavors. We ordered mutton biryani and nati koli chicken. The biryani has about 4 pieces of boneless mutton and an egg, served with sides of onion raita, salan and papad. The price is on the higher side for the quantity that they offer.
Service is prompt.
Biriyani was just next level... Those flavour does dance on ur palette with some unique ingredients. Must say do visit.
Good solid biryani and unlike the Hyd biriyani chains, they don't serve enlarged and puffed rice. The biriyani was good but a little bland. The Hakeem wasn't spicy enough to make up for it.
The soup was just about okay. Nothing great
Nice place to hang out. Service is very good here. The staff takes special attention from taking a order to delivering it.Food is also good here. We tried some fish starters and Biryani and it was good. Would definitely visit this place again.Very pocket friendly too🙂
Dindigul Thalapakatti, was an authentic south indian restaurant. We tried Pepper chicken and Chicken biryani. Pepper Chicken is a must try. I would go there again and again just to have those delicious pepper chicken. 👍
If you don't like Tamilian food.. must visit this place once, I guarantee you will fall in love with it..oh my god I can't express my feelings in words.. how can someone cook so well. Must try paya soup, crab fry is a double must try and mutton biryani was so differently amazing.. thanks to people inside the kitchen..
Food is awesome tried there mutton biryani and veg biryani .
Service can be improved a bit .
Since I hail from North India I was initially skeptical about trying this but it was very tasty .
Do try their special mutton biryani and you won't be disappointed
Very good service. But bit costly.
If you like Andhra style food then Thalappakkatti biriyani is a better option. When comparing to Meghana biriyani , I am not sure its up to the mark but its less or equal to meghana biriyani.
The main thing I am happy with them is it was soooo goood service from their boys.
From the door opens and till we went out they served very well. Polite and with good manners.
Some items where missing there but we got Chicken pepper fry it was so nice. Much oily but tasty.
Anyway I am happy with the food.
Dindigul Thalappakatti is a popular South Indian restaurant chain that is known for its biryani. I recently visited the restaurant in Bangalore, and I was overall impressed with my experience.
The restaurant has a nice sitting area, with clean carpeting and well-behaved staff. The menu is decent, with a variety of South Indian dishes to choose from. I ordered the chicken and mutton gravy with dosa and parathas, and I was happy with the taste and quality of the food. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced.
I would definitely recommend Dindigul Thalappakatti to anyone looking for a good South Indian meal. The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly. I would also like to try their biryani on my next visit.
Here are some pros and cons of Dindigul Thalappakatti Biriyani Restaurant:
Pros:
Good food
Fresh ingredients
Friendly service
Reasonable prices
Offers and discounts
Cons:
Can be crowded on weekends
Some dishes can be spicy
Not the most luxurious setting
Overall, I would recommend Dindigul Thalappakatti Biriyani Restaurant to anyone looking for a good South Indian meal. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back again.
Here are some tips for visiting Dindigul Thalappakatti Biriyani Restaurant:
Go during the week if you can, to avoid the crowds.
Order the biryani! It is the restaurant's signature dish, and it is definitely worth trying.
If you are not a fan of spicy food, be sure to ask for your dishes to be made mild.
Enjoy the atmosphere! The restaurant is a bit noisy, but it is also a lot of fun.
It was a perfect lunch on my birthday. Hospitable staff. Food was great. I really loved the kuchi mutton which was really good. The mutton Biriyani and mutton sukka were also good. Very relaxed environment. Visit on weekdays and for lunch if you want to avoid the crowd. Reasonable rates. If you love spicy South Indian non-veg dishes, then this restaurant is for you! There’s a lot of space for parking as well.
One of the best places to eat if you love biryani. The prices are very reasonable and food quantity and taste is superb. One must try their special boneless crispy chicken biryani and Peri Peri chicken. Would love to dine here any day !

My friend suggested to taste mutton biryani here, it won’t disappoint you for sure. The Kushal is very tasty. Try normal rice biryani instead of basmati rice. Chicken piece come with chopsticks is must try item. I personally recommend to you. Have a try.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and love the simplicity of biryani which they serve. Dindigul biryani is a special variant of biryani, having its roots in Tamil Nadu. Its distinct comes from a small grain rice called Seeraga samba rice, also known as Parakkum sittu.
The chicken and mutton biryani they serve is really good. Please do not expect some long grain, high-on-spices biryani here, they have their own style of biryani which is good if you are looking for something simple and less spicy. The meat is extremely well cooked, and falls off the bone pretty well. The Gunfire Chicken was okayish, nothing special about that. Special mention to their super-courteous staff!
I would definitely recommend this place to all the biryani lovers out there!
One of my favourite place to go. Love the quality if food and the taste!
Great biriyani. Courteous staffs. Fast service.
Do try their mutton biriyani. Non-Veg appetizers are also good. When in doubt, take their suggestions. Suited for family and kids. No alcohol served.
It's crowded mostly during lunch hours.
Vegetarians should try to avoid this place unless for any absolute reason.
Very good food. Non veg. Service very good. Ambiance very good. Location ist floor, main road.
All the dishes we tried were good. Nice ambience, good and timely service. Valet parking is available.
The Place is wonderful to try chicken biryani. The service was fine, they delayed a lot in terms of serving the food and the finger bowls too. The fish fry is a must to try. Good place to hang out for lunch and dinner.
They maintain taste anytime you visit. Staff is given good training to be patient & serve. They have basic options When visiting with vegetarian friend.
Mutton paya soup and Mutton Biryani was mind blowing in taste and look. I had golden prawns and Mushroom 65 was amazing. They are taking care all safety precautions for safe dining. I felt pretty good place for family lunch/dinner with good ambiance and courteous staff.
Wow! Loved mutton and chicken biriyani. Also, crispy prawn 🍤 - It's delicious! Tried their newly launched drink. Loved the watermelon sarbath. Their service and food is good compared to before. Good to go with your family.
The only thing I was disappointed with jigarthanda. I expected the Madurai authentic one but they have a different one that tastes like orange cream biscuits.
Overall it's good and they are improvising their service and quality of food. We (my family) really loved it :)
Thanks!
