ORDER, TASTE, and QUALITY:
I ordered Radhaballavi, Chicken Kosha Mangsho, Machh Sorse (Fish in mustard Curry), Rosogulla, and Veg Curry.
All items were in good in taste except the Machh Sorse curry, which lacked the essential spices and hardly had any aroma of mustard in it. I have had much better Machh Sorse elsewhere.
Chicken Kosha Mangsho was the best and a must-try delicacy here. It was really delicious and the chicken was well cooked! Bengali Rosogulla was authentic and I liked it.
AMBIENCE and SERVICE:
Although, it's a small place yet the ambience is nice and the interiors look good. Service is a bit slow amd can be improved.
I have been taking home delivery from Desi Firangi since last one month, so far 3-4 times. Their deliver time is really good. Packing is great. You can avail good Bengali food at a reasonable price. I have tasted their cholar daal, alu poshto, chicken dakbangla, kosha mangsho, basanti pulao, peas pulao. The food tastes good. Looking forward to taste their fish items as well. Had first time from their place during Durga Puja, had rolls and also a mutton dish,,, Mutton dish was so good that , next evening we were at a different place, we still went to kormangla for their mutton dish,,, It was really great! Desi Firengi is one of the best bengali restaurant in bangalore. The taste of all the foods are awesome. I personally tried polao, mutton kosha, Chicken kosha, fish fry, mutton and chicken ball etc. All the items are so tasteful it gives me a feel of mother's touch. I will always recommend everyone about Desi Firengi.
Delicious food.. Bengali snacks and food are must try. Also north indian food are too good. . I personally recomend Fish fry , Mutton ball , Pabda sorshe , Crab dry , bashonti polao, Mutton Kosha , Dal fry chicken roll and last but not the least bengali sweets. Keep up the good work guys.

It was a Sunday afternoon, and I was missing home badly. So thought of having Bengali food. Since I live in koramangala, the bong options available are bangaliana and bhojohori manna. But I wanted to try a different restaurant, so I ordered vide swiggy two dishes from Desi Firangi. Guess what, eureka!! I found my fav bong place.
Pros: awesome dishes available. Typical bong ones.
Food even it comes to you via home delivery is pretty hot. Brownie points for both the restaurant and delivery executive.

Cons: delivery time is more, but it's really worth it guys. Sometimes food preparation with patience and time are the best. So it's not really a con to the place.
I never visited the place just ordered online so cannot comment about ambience and all. But if the food is great, who cares!!!

The food was great. Very "home flavor" yet very professional! The portions very satisfying. Between the two of us we orders seven dishes and each dish was different and tasty! I've been visiting this place for last 3 months and found authenticity in food, reasonable price, good quantity, nice ambience, great music and friendly staff. Recently, they served me food for 125 guests at one of my family event. It was awesomely priced, made and served. Keep it up the good work.

This place serves North Indian and Bengali cuisines. We tried the Bengali cuisines... snacks like aloo chop and Cutlet were really nice. Bengali egg tadka was also very yummy. Pricing was reasonable. Rotis were also nice. Disappointing was the rice which was slight sticky as if pressure cooked. Chicken curry was prepared in a Bengali way like mangsher jhol but it was not that good. Ambience wise small comfortable place with very friendly staff.

Me and my BF had gone to this restaurant thinking that it's a Chinese outlet as was obvious from the name and pictures in the banner. Little we had any idea that we r entering a small cave of authentic Bengali cuisine. We started with the Mochar Chop, followed by Calcutta's world famous Chicken Biryani. We were pleased. 'Twas good of course but the striking part is the owner's wife herself assists the cooks while preparing the delicacies. That's really a rare vision. We have already paid a second visit to this hideout and would recommend all Bongs to grace this place with utmost authenticity

Oh god last night ordered the simplest of food from here around 1 am.. The order was as simple as dal makhani and tandoori roti..and boy oh boy they took 1 hour to deliver..i didnt mind that but the food quality was killing...the daal consistency was like water i mean daal makhani is supposed to be thick..plus it tasted like what happens to when u add water in the daal and forget to add spices to increase the quantity..and to top it all i found rocks in it..even on complining zomato guys say just sorry...i mean wow...to top it further the roti was so hard that you couldnt even bite it..
The reviews for this restaurant was pretty good for a late night order..i think either they are not good or they just ran of food and gave me rocks and burnt roti.. hey desi firangii guys plz serve better food trust me quality comes first..
The first and most important thing. Do not go by their name. They might have kept their name fancy by naming desi firangi, but their firangi food is just below standards. I can bank on their desi food anytime anyday. It is really yummy.
The food now, we ordered chicken tikka, butter naan, chicken bhuna and achaari chicken tikka and peas pulao. The naan was absolutely delightful. Soft, buttery and just cooked right.
The chicken dishes were good too. The ones which you expect from traditional desi dhaba styles. It was amazing.
The starter could have been better. The chicken pieces were too small to bargain. I did tell the mgt regarding this. Hope they act.

Ordered food for lunch today,found this place to be a decent one(based on the user ratings). This restaurant almost met all my expectations. Ordered Veg Burnt Garlic Soup and Veg noodles. Both the items were decent and prices are affordable. Surprised to find Zucchini and bell peppers used at such rates. Taste was very decent as well. Issues we had - delivery was late by 10 - 15 mins but was manageable and the soup should have been thicker, this could have been an icing on the cake :) A definite yes for me :)

Our hungry hawk eyes fell upon this restaurant, setup in the basement and just about to close.
The guy managing the place gave us five minutes to order anything and without even going through the menu, we ordered a plate of chilli potatoes.
I can't say that they were the best chilli potatoes I ever had but considering the fact that potato is not a staple food in the South, they were way above average.
This place is really small and ambiance is not that great...but food is amazing here.. We had both Indian and Chinese. It was really good. We had garlic naan,butter naan, paneer butter masala , chicken dopyaza .. Pocket friendly... absolutely value for money! :D

Firstly it was really nice of them to serve us food post 1 am that is after their working hours. I dont know if it was the owner or the staff but whoever it was, genuinely nice person
and friendly. I had gone out with a friend who was a vegeterian so basically ordered the staple vegetarian food that is Panner Butter masala and the Butter Garlic Naan. The food was excellent and we got the food relatively quicky. The place is more than reasonable. It can be considered as a really good option for ur midnight cravings if you are bored with empire and definitely worth it.
I have ordered butter kulcha, Dal Makhani and Kadhai paneer. Fresh paneer and yummy buttery kulcha.

Haven't exactly visited the restaurant, but did order food from here. This place apparently has both Indian and "Foreign" items. Since I ordered twice from there to taste both of the worlds ,I will suggest to get Desi from here. Their matar pulao was good, along with Murg Kadai and Dal fry. The food is obviously not that awesome, but yes, it's something you can afford, hence is always an option.

a. dal makhni (5/5)--- the best in kormangala. My favourite north indian dish. I had dal makhni in probably 50-100 restaurants in bangalore and hyderabad and this is one of the best. Reminded me of the best dal makhni I regularly have in hyderabad.
b. butter naan-- soft and great taste.
c. butter roti---- as good as the butter naan.
4. speed and service: good service and good speed of service.
I got my food under 15 mins.
5. value for money: 4/5. A very good value for money restaurant. Will visit again for the dal makhni especially.

Hi.. This is my first review in zomato. I was extremely happy with the service of desi firangii and I thought I should appreciate them. Yesterday night I ordered Bhuna murg, paneer tikka masala and 5 butter naan. It was raining very badly and I thought the delivery would have been late. But after 40 minutes the delivery boy (Dileep from desi firnagii) came to my place. He was fully wet, but the food was packed very well and it was carried in water protective bag. The food was hot and tasty. I offered dileep a towel, but he was not ready to accept it. What he told me was really shocked me. "Mam, because of the rain, we have less delivery boys and we orders pending. so I have to rush fast". This guy is an asset for your restaurant and I will be a regular customer for you guys...

Great place tucked away in the heart of Koramangala. The food was awesome with a wide range of options to choose from. The service was great with us getting the food a lot quicker than you'd expect at a similar restaurant and with the ambience it was the perfect setting for a Sunday lunch. Cant wait to drop in again.

I ordered food around 11PM on a rainy day in Bangalore, when most online restaurants were either canceling the orders or delaying beyond acceptance due to unavailability of the delivery folks.
These guys delivered food in less than 40 minutes, hot and delicious. They had the same issue of the delivery guy, but they managed to send a gentleman from the hotel to deliver this, I really appreciate the effort taken by that gentleman to coordinate and deliver at an unusual hour.
I ordered Chinese starters and fried rice. The food was delicious and in right proportions. I would recommend these guys and hope to try more food from their place. Thanks again for the superior customer service experience, it is much appreciated.
Grilled chicken burger had layers of mayo ,vege ,chicken filling which was tasty. The French fries accompanied this burger was little salty.Paneer tikka was tasty and well cooked ! The special note is about the packing. It was so neat and kept the food warm and fresh.

One of my best discoveries in bangalore. Have visited this restaurant thrice. To try 3 different menus. Continental, oriental and Indian. All were awesome, though I am a bit partial to continental. The Iranian chicken shashlik was the best thing to come from a grill that I have had the fortune to taste in this life. Mutton rogan josh was brilliant and too underpriced. I found the American chopsuey a little too sweet for my taste which was made perfect in a moment by the chef. One of the best budget restaurants in bangalore.. Miss it at your own risk

Hats off to service: ordered through Zomato last night. Received one wrong product. Called the restaurant. The owner of the restaurant himself came down to deliver the correct product and that too within 10 minutes.
