This place is one of the hidden gems of Whitefield, situated on ECC road. It is a very calm and cozy place to sit and enjoy the delicious home made food. Owned by a couple, they make the food themselves, and serve as well. The food no doubt has great taste and that homely touch to it. The ambience and decor is nice too. They have a nice courtyard which doubles up as a smoking area. Overall it is a very nice place to just relax and eat, however, it is required that you call this place in advance, and tell them what you want to have, so that they can prepare that for you.
Since they do not have any helper or professional chef, they will give a time when you can be there, so that there is no delay in service.
We enjoyed a delicious, fresh, hot home cooked meal this evening at the cozy Hamsa Kaur tucked away near ECC road. It is owned and run by a very kind and hospitable couple who have a home stay as well and have been around since 2008. The place is a must visit when in Bangalore as you not only get the feel of a homely hygienic ambience but also have an excellent menu, books to read, a nice garden and great company from the hosts who keep you well amused while the food is being prepared! We had a really lovely time and have marked this restaurant as one of our must go to places for fantastic Punjabi food!
If you are looking for a calm and beautiful place to relax and dine, this could be the place for you. Restaurant is made out of a house and food tastes homemade. That is something I liked in particular.
You can feel yourself at home, read books, listen to music on the iPod speakers or go out for a stroll while your dinner is prepared (which takes time and you won't get all the items from the menu at times). Restaurant is a bit overpriced for frequent dig-ins but if that's something worked on, one can go there after a busy work day, chill and have dinner in peace every other day!
If you leave in and around Whitefield, this is worth a visit! ☺️
Food was fabulous and amazing...felt like we were eating at home...Raghu was very friendly and hospitable...a place we could eat at everyday because the food is home cooked and healthy...the atta ka halwa was the best we have ever eaten...
Hamsa Kaun, situated in 4th Cross of Prithvi Layout, is an amazing place to have home cooked food. It has both the options of a dine-in and a take away. We decided to have a dine-in and the Mediterranean set up just made our day. The food is mouth watering delicious, cooked in the clean confines of the home and served piping hot. It definitely is a heaven for anyone who crave for North Indian delicacies. Punjabi Chicken curry and parathas and Mutter paneer with fulkas are our regular take aways after the dine in. The chef is just amazing! Keep it going!
Awesome food and excellent ambience to enjoy perfect north Indian food...with excellent music too...you can't restrict yourself by Visiting this place once :)
If you want to have taste of authentic Punjabi food, or your taste buds are yelling for good and delicious Punjabi delicacies, you have to visit this place. Authentic Punjabi food with attention seeking aroma. We have ordered chicken curry with parathas and in bangalore, you can't find such chicken curry and tawa parathas anywhere. Now coming to ambience, you can actually sit with your friends and listen to soft music. You can ease down, be comfortable, till your delicacies are being prepared to serve your hungry tummy and restless taste buds. You can have a game of chess meanwhile. Service is great. I will surely visit again, to have a homemade food, which is also pocket friendly :)
Food is awesome, taste like homemade . Cooked on the spot.Very peaceful and nice homely ambience.
Weekends brunch also available.. Typical punjabi paratha and phulka...Loved it
I would highly recommend. Amazing food and ambience. We went there last weekend and we were surprised by how the food tasted just like home cooked food and wasn't like the regular oily stuff. The owner - friendly & sweet. The place - simple & cozy.
We had their butter chicken and phulka, laccha parantha and sweet lassi. Each of it tasted sooo good.
Now I know where to go when I miss "Ghar ka khana" :)
We visited this restaurant 2 weeks back. Though we waited quite long about 45 min or more, but it was totally worth for. We understood bcos it's one man army... We had Very Tasty homely food. Excellent phulka roti. Very soft and thick, they were better than any tandoori roti. We had ordered paneer butter masala, turned out very yummy and delicious. Paneer was so soft that it just melted in mouth.looking forward to my next visit.
Been there when the restaurant had recently started. We ordered Kadai Paneer, Kadai chicken and Special Lachha Paratha. Paneer and chicken were okay whereas the Lachha parathas were really good. We got a complimentary Dal Makhani too.
Best part about the place is the cordial hospitality of the owners.
Saw the Zomato review for this place and decided to check it out - and I am glad I did!
The setting was homely, and the owner was very sweet
Ordered Amritsari Paneer Tikka. And I (definitely not a Paneer fan) loved it!
Then ordered Channa masala with Lachcha paratha, and the Channa masala was like no other I had ever tasted!
On the whole, loved the experience. Definitely visiting again!!
Asal Punjabi style khana hai to try Hamsaa kaun. Honestly tried butter chicken the other day here and have been kinda regular here post that .. Sorry dont have pictures to post but experience was amazing to say the least !! Please let me know if you have added Paneer Kulcha in your menu ??
On a Sunday afternoon I was hunting for a nice brunch when happened to chance on this cosy restaurant nestled somewhere near Deens school at ECC road. We had each a plate of Chole Bhature and Lassi. Surprisingly not the regular chole bhature that you get in Bangalore where Oil formed a layer and makes it looks messy. It was perfect and chole just melted in mouth and Lassi just reminded me of my days in Delhi . The best part is that the food is prepared by the owner themselves and looks like passion plays its part when they cook. Cheers !
I visited Hamsa Kaun a couple of days back. It had amazing authentic Punjabi food. Do try the Malai Chicken and the Butter Chicken. The Dal Makhani is really good as well. The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere and great hospitality. I am definitely going back again......
Hamsa Kaun authentic restaurant for Punjabi food with mouth lickering taste the restaurant welcomes with homely food , homely touch and warm hospitality if you get a chance please don't miss to be part of experience
