I order lunch from them a few times a week. Their options are healthy and delicious. Their food is suitable for almost everyone. Their packaging, like their food, is holistic and environment friendly. Although, sometimes the packaging does start to soften if it's left sitting for some time.

This is at residency road beside Mahesh Lunch Home in the same building.

You will experience a different kind of a taste in every dish here. I was here with my friends we ate alot of healthy food here.

So quickly coming to what i had here were as follows 

# Punjabi Lapeta Kabab, Chicken Shami Kabab, Veggie Shami Kabab, Paneer Methi Malai Kabab, Chicken Tawa Fry, Fish Tawa Fry.

Every Starter here was droll worthy i had never tasted such great dishes before.

In Maincourse we had

Kerala Chicken Stew with Appam, Goan Fish Curry, Kodo Millet Dahi Bath, Puliyogare, Millet Chicken Hyderabadi Biryani, Dal Makhani, Pumpkin Masala.

Al the maincourse were really yummy and i liked it.

They had Desserts too like Chocolate chia Pudding it was really nice.

Overall a great experience here

Seldom do we find a place to dine that resembles HOME - in taste and hygiene. Well, The Good Grain is that place. The food is homely and you feel the warmth in their service. They don’t just serve food, they feed you with a smile and in joy. It’s a must visit if you’re in Bengaluru. For those, who are looking for a long term(daily) solution for your meals - you’ll be surprised with this place. It will serve you well and yet not bore you out. In short, a great place and worth the while.

The place was very clean and beautifully done with good interiors and the food was extremely fulfilling with a good quantity. The idea of such delicious healthy food was a nice change from the regular food.

We ate a lot of good and healthy food . They have substituted white rice and maida with diffrent millet and brown rice . The best part is though the dishes r made of millet and brown rice they taste better that the regular one . You get to eat tasty as well as healthy food . Awesome food 👍

If you are looking for healthy and tasty food , I suggest The Good Grain. The best part about this is they serve millets, substitute to rice. Its a good place for people who exclude carbohydrates in their daily diet. Excellent service as per the customer insight. Beautiful ambience. A must to visit place.

Was here for a blogging session with my friends.

The place is very cute and compact. Loved the Ambience.

We ate alot of good and healthy food here. To begin with we had the following starters

Punjabi Lapeta Kabab,Chicken Shami Kabab, Veggie Shami Kabab, Paneer Methi Malai Kabab,Chicken Tawa Fry, Fish Tawa Fry.

Every starter was so unique in flavour and had alot of aromas coming from each. Everything was super healthy yet super tasty.

We also tucked our tummies with the main course dishes

Kerala Chicken Stew with Appam, Goan Fish Curry, Kodo Millet Dahi Bath, Puliyogare, Millet Chicken Hyderabadi Biryani, Dal Makhani, Pumpkin Masala

For me the chicken curry was okay and the curd rice was high on ginger flavour. But the others exceeded my expectations. Loved the way the biryani was made with millets and still did Justice to itself.

Last but not the least. We had the Chocolate Chia Pudding for desserts. Bliss I must say. Perfect way to end the meal.

Also not to forget how extraordinary the kokum sharbat was. Lovely zingy taste and perfect balance of sweet and sour.

This place offers a wide range of healthy food options. They have substituted rice, maida to different millets. Mostly kodo. And jaggery for sugar. The best part was though the dishes were made of millets, they tasted better than the regular ones. It's a win win! You get to eat tasty as well as healthy food.

Started off with kokum sharbat. It was very yum. It had masala added to it. Just couldn't stop myself from ordering for more.

All the starters both veg & non-profit veg were really good.

👉 Starters to order:

💁 Chicken Shami Kebab: this was my favourite. It was so soft and lip smacking.

💁 Lapeta Chicken: it's a grilled chicken that has been stuffed with minced chicken. Unique and tasty.

💁Millet Samosa: this was made of millet & not maida. It was stuffed with minced chicken. Tasted way better than the regular samosa and was very filling too.

💁 Chicken Tawa Fry: people who prefer spicy food should go for this. Perfectly cooked and delicious.

💁 Mumbai Baida Roti: this was parantha stuffed with egg and spices.

👉Main course

They have a lot of options like 'Ghar ka Khana' pulihogre, tomato bath, bisi bele bath, coconut rice, curd rice.
All of these are made of kodo instead of rice.

💁 Kerala Chicken Stew: The best among all was the served along with appam or you can have it with the Indian breads too.
This was so far the best stew I have had.
Must try.

👉 Over all experience:
This cafe has definitely changed my view on healthy eating. And also I never liked millets, but now I love it. The prices were very reasonable. Worth it.
Service was good. The staff were courteous.
Had a good time here. Definitely coming back.

In the pursuit to find healthy food in my neighborhood, I came across this place exclusive for it's millet based cooking.
The place is hard to find, but the good flavors and food will definitely drag you back here. It proved my assumption wrong of Millets being boring and bland. Each dish was so jam packed with flavors and u never miss rice or wheat for a second.

As we settled down, we were asked our choice of drinks, I preferred the KOKUM (had 3 glasses of it 🙈), but my friend loved the MASALA COFFEE.

For starters I thoroughly enjoyed the
- LAPETA CHICKEN - a unique dish of grilled chicken stuffed with minced chicken, the meat was so flavourful and perfectly cooked.
-TAWA CHICKEN FRY- shallow fried chicken, not too oily ,but spicy and perfectly cooked.
-CHICKEN MILLET SAMOSA- millet based samosa dough and filled with minced flavourful chicken, I could not make out any difference from a regular samosa.

In main course
-CHICKEN BIRYANI with kodo - this was the show stopper, the best biryani I had and I didn't miss rice at all. The masala is andhra style, spicy and tasted amazing, I am going to order take aways of this biryani soon.

- PULIYOGARE- this was highly flavourful as well, tangy , loaded with peanuts, what more can you ask for!!!

In desserts they had healthy options too, my favourite was the
- BESAN MILLET HALWA- this was yummy and melt in the mouth soft and very addictive.
- CHOCOLATE CHIA PUDDING- had a custard consistency and tasted absolutely delectable.
- ORGANIC GULKAND ICECREAM- it tastes like gulkand in a solid version, when it melts in your mouth you can taste the gulkand rose petals, very true to its name.
Definitely yummy and a keto friendly place.

This petite cafe done in bright colours offers healthy breakfast lunch and dinner options. The idea is to do away with rice, flour , sugar and incorporate healthy organic ingredient and superfood “millet”into most of the dishes here.

DRINKS
Tried kokum drink and I loved it so much that I ended up having two more glasses! Other drinks are routine like tea, coffee, lassi.

FOOD - Is a mix of both north and South Indian cuisines.
🍒Veg. Shami kebab- Crispy outside and soft inside. Perfect melt in the mouth.
🍒Paneer malai kebab- Paneer deliciously soft and perfect balance of spice which did not overpower natural paneer flavour.
🍒Punjabi samosa- To my surprise.. made of wheat and millet,not maida... keep guessing the filling and let me tell you.. its not potato!
🍒Baida roti- Egg stuffed paratha..popularly Mumbai street food.. excellent flavour.

Main course- The flavours felt like good old home food. Puliyogare was really yum.Curd rice as well. Tomato Bhaath had subtle flavour but tasted so good. Pumpkin masala again had subtle flavour. Can try .

DESSERT
🍒Besan millet barfi- Must try. Felt like straight out of grandmas recipe. Excellent flavours.
🍒Gulkand icecream- Tasted like having paan and gulkand itself. Really good!
🍒Ragi payassam- Another healthy option and good.
🍒Chocolate chia pudding-Would have been excellent for me if it were serve chilled and little strong cocoa flavour.

Service was great . The owner Mr.Deepak warmly catered to us. Though the serving time was a little more but it. was worth the wait.
Value for money- Avg. 400 for two is by every means so pocket friendly compared to other places offering the concept of healthy food.

Overall a wonderful place to try delicious healthy food in a guilt free form!

This place as the name suggests concentrates on creating a healthy fare through different grains. The usual conception of healthy food through Millets is automatically conceived as vegetarian only, but if you are a ardent non-vegetarian like me rest assured this place will not disappoint.

They have something for everyone and cater to all pallets as the menu includes popular dishes from different parts of India, with a healthy variant of course.

Chicken Tawa Fry:
An absolute must-try dish, the spices are bold yet flavorful, and the organic chicken used shines through by being succulent.

Grilled Paneer:
Subtle flavours and retains the moist and fresh paneer as the hero it's so soft that it has an almost melt-in-your-mouth feeling.

Veg Shami kabab:
Keeping up to the standards another great dish, with a perfect mix of veggies and still keeping it crisp.

Main Course:
Chicken biryani ( made with kodo) ;
Disclaimer : this dish is only for the brave hearted. This dish is extremely spicy but delicious. If you have a high tolerance to spicy this is a dish you shouldn't miss.

Since we were a group of 8 I got to try most of their grain dishes 'Puliyogare' 'tomato bath' 'curd rice' etc and each was made with a different grain and with unique flavours still emulating the essence of it's high carb counter part but was a healthier yet delicious version.

Chicken stew with Ragi appam:
a math made in heaven, if you're looking for subtle flavours then this dish is your best bet.

Desserts:
Chocolate Chia pudding:
The Chia seeds gives a completely different texture to the dish and the Chocolate might not suit all pallets but for me this was a great dish.

I would highly recommend this place, the food has soul and the owners passion in wanting to cater to everyone yet give them a wholesome meal shines through. This place seems to have put in some serious efforts to provide delicious yet healthy food.

I can't wait to go back and try several other dishes, and what's great is it's so easy on the pocket. I always thought healthy establishments were expensive but this place certainly proofed me wrong.

Please note that all dishes are made to order and nothing is pre made/marinated hence the wait time is a little extended but the food is totally worth the wait. The staff are courteous and the ambiance is humble yet welcoming and well lit and decorated.

I had ordered dosa ( which is available for breakfast in the menu ) ,but the owner and the staff was grateful enough to provide me dosa even in the lunch hours .It was yummy though it is very difficult to make tasty dosa with brown rice .Sambhar and complimentary chutneys were also mind blowing .

A must visit place to keep the health in place .

Thanks again to the staff and the owner for their humbleness .

We were looking for a decent quite joint for a family lunch. Driving through residency road we noticed a new sign board on the gate of 'Cears Plaza' ie ' The Good Grain' (before hotel Chancery pavilion) indicating healthy bites. We decided to take a chance to experience the new place.
After going through the menu, we decided to go for the MAKE YOUR BOWL option. Choice of non veg and veg from 4 nonveg (choose 2) and 4 veg gives excellent choice for all. Choice of rice and roti/appam/paratha with dessert and drink included. Real value for average price of 200/- !!!
The chicken stew, and the kerala fish curry we chose were class in itself and other items were of its own class. we enjoyed the food to our full satisfaction. The place is extremely hygienic.Service and ambience equally super.value for the money

New restaurant behind Mahesh Lunch home with healthy options. 
Had rajma chaval (red rice - basmathi) and roti with soya burji.  
Good food .. Healthy .. 
Price is not high compared to other restaurants around the same area..

Management should put more effort in promotions...I haven't heard about this restaurant in any Facebook groups or in any other social media platforms

Had a lovely dinner. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. Especially enjoyed the chicken and Fish Tawa Fry, a delicious starter that will never disappoint your palettes.  One should definitely try out Chicken stew that goes perfectly with the Appam( with Millets - Healthy style). 
Time for desserts:  Chocolate Chia pudding:)
Afraid of too much sweets? This one’s perfectly suited for you. I also tried out Brown Rice Phirni, again a not-so-sweet delectable experience that would nicely sum up the 3-course meal on a cozy relaxed evening.
I am sure The Good Grain had many more treasures hidden in their healthy food chest, but I had to calm my cravings as nearly 2 hours went by in this gastronomical exploration. This is a must-visit for all who crave for an food exploration.

Must try this one of its kind place with specialty of food made with the healthier option, millets. Tried their millet puris, samosa with sweet potato filling, millet halwa, curd millet instead of curd rice! The millet biryani is awesome and there are many more stuff you can go for! Ambience is pretty cool and fresh :)

Excellent food and it is good on the health scale as well. Tried their non veg thali and just loved the fish curry and chicken. Their organic ice cream was very good. The price is also quite friendly on your pockets. Will definitely go there again.

Food was exceptionally good. Malabar chicken curry, Kerala fish curry both had nice traditional flavour. The meat literally melted in my mouth. The Ragi sweet again was perfect. Overall a must visit place. I did not rate five because the rice served was less for me and I am an average eater.
