Specially like the swar bhaja and rasmalai must try.

🔶 Highlights of the place 🔶

This place needs no introduction.
One of the best for their amazing quality sweets and veg snacks.

🔶 Now, coming to the food 🔶

Sometimes it is heard that they are expensive but the quality of the sweets that they provide justifies the price. Neat & clean in decor & ambiance this shop attracts people with their mouthwatering varieties. The soft sandesh , beautiful mishti doi , rasogolla , pantua ... they have it all. Apart from the sweets they also have Singara

🔺 Recommended for all sweet lovers

[NOTE]: This review is highly from a hard cored sweet tooth addicted point of view over a bengali too obsessed over her desserts.
On a serious note, if you are a sweet lover and loves to explore any sweets from any region and want to explore more of a bengal sweet then this is your mecca!
Not only they offer the quintessential bengali sweets but all the essential sweets down south too . But personally i feel you have better places in the city to explore the south indian sweet delicacies and this place is more of those varieties which are seldom found in this city.
So start with the one which is synonymous to the bong sweet is the ‘sondesh’ , you get a huge variety of it be it the softer one or the harder one with even made of authentic palm jaggery one .
If you are someone new to this place and want to explore then you must try the ‘lyangcha’, ‘lobongo lotika’,’roso kodombo’, ‘mouchak’ and offcourse goes without saying the ‘ baked rosogolla’ . The authentic rosogolla, pantua or the mishti doi are the all time favourites which cannot be missed at any cost.
A bengali’s sweet tale over food keeps going on and i will bet you will love it too.
Well, if your overdozed on sweets you may even ask for their samosa(very bengali) , kachori or the highly recommanded vegetable chop ( cutlet).
[SERVICE]: Be it the service or the corteousness of the staffs, everything is very prompt and leaves no place for complains . The only concern is the pricing is bit on the higher side .
This place for the bengali sweets is highly recommandable.

Banchharam is one of those places available in Bengaluru which will satisfy my sweet cravings. Place is known for Bengali sweets but once should not discriminate among the sweets and love everything what they offer.

The price is big high compared to other competitors, Banchharam has sweets of several varieties, quality is top notch and tastes amazing. A very well maintained place and the arrangements of sweets such that you wont come back without eating at least couple of them.

First line I want to say- I am from Kolkata and I love sweets. I can assure, kolkata and sweets is a pure love story.
Banchharam, no doubt will give you the collection of quality sweets which will give you a pleasure. I visited 3-4 times here, I took lot of 'Sondesh (Dry sweets) and Rosomalai'.. Sometimes 'Chhanar Jilipi'- Kaju Barfi- awesome mouth watering desserts !!!
All over rating 4/5... but I don't think I will get better sweets here in bangalore ..so 5/5...

The ultimate place to go and try out the best of bengali Cuisine, the quintessential Mishti! The places serves the best of both world. While at one hand, you get to taste Rosogolla, gurer sondesh and Chamcham, You can also pack and take away Kaju katlis! ANd they are equally good in taste.

You cannot sit and eat. Need to take home and stand and eat, what we call jalpan at home. Shopkeepers speak Bengali. Price is decent.

My pick: The pithe, the rosomalai, the gujia.

I hear they also serve kashta kachoori and some variants of Nimki these days. Great experience!

MISHTI... Well, that's what sweets are for us, WE BENGALIS.

... And Banchharam, is one of those rare options available in Bengaluru, which somewhat satisfies our sweet cravings . Being Bengali, we have that never-ending love for sweets and thus, I cannot discriminate among the sweets, I love each and every sweet available here.

A bit pricey, Banchharam has sweets of several varieties, quality is undoubtedly good,  and tastes amazing.

I never really knew what Bancharam meant for Bengalis or any Kolkatans until I heard about it from them directly.
I have a bengali friend who always gifts me 2 big boxes of kheer kadam, malai roll and a big pot of misti-doi, and I'm extremely protective of them as no one can eat just one. My family people just grab it selfishly and pretend like they haven't tasted them to grab once again, he he.. !! After that everytime I visit Bancharam I make sure I do justice to that place tasting at-least 1 rack of those sweets (1 piece of every sweet) to my heart's content. The best thing about these sweets is that they are much UNLIKE other sweets which are generally too sugary and sweet giving you a headache.
These are less-sugary, soft which allows you to taste the original flavor of milk/khoa which lingers in your tongue craving for more !Go Enjoy Bancharam !!

Kolkata's very own favourite sweet shop in Bangalore, it was such a delight to come across this place.
The place is pretty clean and they have a good variety of sweets starting of different kinds of sandesh to pantua, rosogolla, baked rosogolla and many more. Their sweets are never disappointing and they also have another range of eateries like samosa, kachori, mini samosas. The authentic bengali dish Radhaballabi is a must try.

Any Bengali foodie would like to visit this place who has sweet tooth. We friends ordered for radha pollobi and few mishtis. Radha pollobi tasted very delightful though the alu dom didn't have that typical taste and i found it bland. In mishti lengcha, kalo jaam, mishti doi, rasmalai was absolutely fine but the rajbhoj from which I had too much expectations turned out to be hard and tasteless. Overall the place is life saviour for Bengali sweet lover in Bangalore.

The sweets here are exquisite in quality. The guur Sandesh, the cham cham and some rasmalai are all very very tasty. A special mention for the mishti doi. My recommendation is that you go for the one in the 'bhaand' as opposed to the one in the plastic container. The only reason the rating is shaved off is that since alot of the stuff comes from Calcutta, it isn't very fresh.

With most shops producing substandard "bengali" sweets and selling at a premium; Bancharam is like a breath of fresh air. You actually have bengali people working there making the sweets - how much more authentic can it get.

Had gone out with a few friends for a food walk across Koramangala and decided to finish off with bengali desserts - cause nothing beats a super sweet end to a spicy food walk.

Tried out rasgullas both of jaggery type and sugary syrup type as well as sandesh, lancha, chomchoms and a few other items. The syrups felt made of real date palm jaggery instead of the medicinal tasted ones sold at a Sweets chain in Bangalore. The chenna also felt freshly done, no stale taste to it.

Recently had been to Kolkata and when I compared the prices with the sweet shops there it felt similar. And nothing premium. Im glad that we are able to get genuine bengali sweets in Bangalore at the current prices - unlike the others ripping us off with their lookalike "bengali" sweets that taste nothing like the authentic ones.

Banchharam is a very renowned name in Kolkata for Sweets. Bangalore also it has quite a few branches. I've visited both Marathahalli and the Koramangala branch.

The Koramangala branch is quite good. Decent staff, good quality of sweets, Taste is quite close to that of Kolkata.

Cleanliness can be a little better. The waste disposal area is not frequently cleared. Hence most of the time, you'll find it overflowing.

Price is little on the higher side and not all the time a value for money. Rosogolla is quite good. Savouries and snacks availability can be better too.

I have been to the Koramangala outlet, as well as to the newly opened JP Nagar (near Delmia circle) outlet. The prices are too high. A samosa costs Rs18 is beyond understanding. But I must say, they make the samosa real good. At least in Bangalore, you can't get that kind of samosa (in bengali we call singara) elsewhere. The sweets rosogolla, lobongo lotika, sandesh, swar puriya (price is too much) are all very delicious. As I am a Bengali, I keep coming here again and again despite the premium price.

The JP Nagar shop is so small, you can't even stand there are eat. 4-5 people can crowd that place.

Located in 7th block few places away from Aalishan, my friends used to mention about the savouries available, though costly but great in taste. So visited this place on a weekend to try out couple of things.

Shop is very clean having vibrant ambiance. Staff were polite and seems to be properly trained. After that when I checked the prices, then came to know that cost is literally too much as compared to other shops I visited in Bangalore. A singara costs 18 bucks, same as rosogulla... can't get any justification!!!

No doubts about the the taste for some dishes I tried. Singara is really nice, liked the potato stuffing a lot. Reminded me of my favourites snack corner at Hazra More in Kolkata!! Veg cutlet on the other hand was below average for me. Don't know why it tasted sweet to me.

Kheer kadam was way too costly though was nice in taste. Mishti doi was nice and I got some parcelled too.

Coming to nolen gurer rosogulla and rajbhog, my all time favourites. Rosogulla was a bit chewy. Rajbhog on the other hand was delectable!! My friends were all praise for it.

A nice place for quality sweets though they need to work on their prices. Can suggest a visit to everyone once to try it out.

If you love sweets this is the palace to be, however it's obscenely expensive. Average price per sweet is around 18-20 INR. Apart from that it's all too good to resist. The small shop is located in 7th block of Koramangala and it stocks a wide range of Bengali sweets. I was especially wowed by their Nolen gurer sandesh (jalbhara) which was soft and full of flavour of fresh gur.

Kheer kadamba also was nice - with the soft rasgulla inside covered by the khoya on top. The pink colored Ras Kadambas and the Malpoas inside the counter also looked very inviting, but since I just had some Kolkata rolls from a neighbouring shop, I was too full to try them.

They make other goodies of a typical Bengali sweet shop - Radhaballabi with alur dom in the morning, and singaras in the evening. A must go place for the sweet lovers of Bengaluru.

This is my second Bancharam outlet review in Bangalore.

As I had mentioned in my first review for their Ulsoor outlet , this brand is synonymous for mishti ( mithai or sweets) for most of Bengalis and sweet lovers in the city.

The outlet has been well designed , looks attractive , clean and hygienic which appeals to me and most customers while buying sweets and food products.

Little expensive but definitely worth the price in Bangalore , the must buys for me were the mishti doi , nolen gur rasgulla , Sandesh among the favourites there.

They also send singada ( samosa ) and other savoury products too but I have not tried them here.

This place gives me taste of Kolkata and reminds me of my Kolkata years long time back.

The bongs are known for their sweetness, and for their sweets of course. There are a lot of sweet shops in and around bangalore and no place serves the bong sweet apart from Bancharam. This is same chain of sweet shop from Calcutta therefore it is quite authentic. The variety is impeccable and the quality is exquisite. Their radhaballavi is delectable and the kheer kadam is enticing.
They serve most accurate version of radhaballavi. The singharas and the chops are heavenly.

A perfect place to have some overpriced bong sweets in Kormangla. :)
The radha-ballabi is awesome. The singaras, also known as samosas to non-bengalis are ok(not worth Rs16/- per piece definitely)

The sweets are good but somehow I feel quite average to the real bong taste you get in any normal sweet shop in Bengal.

Also, being a small outlet they keep limited stocks in Kormangla. Sweets are made somewhere else and transported here.

I am a little surprised at all the low ratings for this place * Nodding head in dismay* but again everyone has an opinion. I'm not a Bengali nor have I been to Kolkata so my review is pretty much as a person who loves only Bengali sweets but after Boondi Laddoo :) So I would have tried Rasgullas and Rasmalai across the cities I have travelled.

I went to Banchcharams for the first time on Diwali this year. I was cribbing and complaining how Diwali I get only Peda and no Jamuns or any thing which has things floating or dripping sugar syrup or milk (demanding me :P) and I had my Bong foodie friend to the rescue. He said 'Onju' why dont we go to Banchcharams ? and I did! Boy am I happy I did. Best Diwali ever!! I have never binged so much that I got a sugar rush. All I can say is I cant remember chewing anything cuz everything just melted including Rasgullas.. So fresh and soft.. Usually when I have Rasgullas elsewere I feel like its cleaning my teeth cuz of all those squeaky noises :D

Must try the Malai Roll,Long jamuny thingy.. Rasmalai..Samosas..Brown Rasgulla thingy ( I remember asking the names then forgot it in all the awesomeness and Google wont tell me whats the other name for long brown jamun thingy!Hmmph!)

Price : Yes its high for other sweet shop standards, but I love the Malai roll so

much. :) and you cant put a price tag on love :P

Tip : Go at around 11ish in the morning.... Fresh Stuff :)

Have visited this place numerous time, as this is one of the most top brand of Kolkata. The place is located beside Alishan restaurant (near HDFC signal @ Koramangala). There are numerous sweet varities options available here.  Compared to Kol, the price will be expensive, as most special RAW items are procured from Kolkata itself. For white sandesh , they get solids by flight.  The milk comes from Tamil-nadu.

The taste for samosa / kachori is very good. I prefer to take rabri, rasamalai, and chitrakoot here. The original ghee smell fills your soul !!! Overall,  a very good place for authentic bengali sweets.
