Always a fan of Nati style, so decided to roll with the same again and tried mutton biryani and grape juice from Sahana.
Coming to the actual review part - Even though they followed the plastic tub path, they haven't cut back the portions, infact this is one of the biggest tub I've seen. So kudos to dat.
Coming to the taste, good, that same southern desi style we follow in villages for marriages and stuff, the mutton was fresh, tender even though a little pool of oil can be seen after you reach the end of the container, the taste was good, with the right amount of spiciness.
The grapejuice, heard ppl telling me abt grapejuice , how it tastes good after meal, but first time I experienced it,I was blown back actually, after such a good oily....hearty meal... The cool wave of grapejuice really felt great.
Note: I repeated my order again after some 2 days, it was still good, so the restaurant was consistent I presumed, but 3rd time I ordered chicken biryani...it was not so great as mutton biryani, pieces were a dry, maybe refrigerated chicken was used to cook, it was meh. 4th time mutton biryani, again - it tasted great, Anyway go for mutton biryani, if you want to get the good stuff.
I tried the chicken leg piece biryani and the biryani was full of flavour and spice. The quantity was also pretty good for the price. Definitely a must visit if you love a spicy biryani π―
Amazing food, worth the price, delicious food and good packing. Biryani was too good, never had such a Biryani and chops is also delicious π
Ordered Chicken fried Briyani and chicken kabab.... Gotta say super tasty and mind blowing.... Will order here again.. Kudos
Over all superb delivery person so good am impressed thank you Sahana team and Zomato team
Chaas is great and the presentation is great and its cooling . Really refreshing.
Chops is great in this place.
Food super ππππ
Came across this place sometime back. It's located near Wilson garden 13th cross road. Easy to locate in maps.
One of the best place to eat home cooked biriyani and meals. The price is highly reasonable. Cleanliness and hygiene is maintained well. You don't feel bloated after eating biriyani here because they don't add soda. Quantity is sufficient for an average eating person.
The chicken pepper fry was so good that we had to order 4 more plates. Rice in biriyani is cooked to perfection. Chicken and mutton pieces are cooked well. The spiciness and the flavours blended in the curry and rice is simply delicious.
Would definitely recommend this place. Do not go by the look of this place. Try the food and enjoy
I had ordered food delivery, the bhurji quantity is very less, and taste was good, but bit oily.chapathi was on harder side nd parotha was also good.
Very nice place to have andhra food. This was the first time I had chilli chicken in andhra style. Loved the experience. Amongst the must visit places in bangalore.
A quite small dine in place, but food is tasty and very economical. A great place to order online, I have tried liver fry and it was awesome.
Amidst the crossroads of Wilson Garden it's a small place not very difficult to spot serving authentic Malayali cusine.
Ambience isn't very fancy but decently clean and comfortable. Food is served on Banana leaves.
We had kheema masala with Kerala parathas and a chicken Biryani!
One portion is good enough for one person.
Very nice Nati style food. Must try chicken masala, chicken fry and nati fry.. mutton chops also was too good. But somehow I wasnβt a fan of their biryani I am too biased on the Donne style green colour biryani this was a red colour normal nati style biryani. Nevertheless when I had it with chicken masala it tasted great.
This is one hidden gem far better than many military hotels authentic food good taste tried mutton fry piece biryani was excellent next time tried their mutton meals through uber eats, it was beyond my expectations mutton fry was spicy so as mutton gravy this place will never disappoint a nati style food lover and then their biryani is very good some unique taste they have..the reason for 5 stars is for I have tasted in many similar hotels but Sahana for taste and value for money.
Really delicious food. Tried their chicken fry, chapati and rice as I was too late to check-in and they were about to close for lunch. Chicken fry was really nice and I would love to visit them once again to try out other dishes.
I would recommend to visit them at least once for any foodie ππ
This is a 25 years old legendary Military hotel which serves homely Nati style non veg food. I wanted to go here ever since my friends discovered it during their Biryani trail.
The Google location is not right (as of now). It is located in the first floor opposite to JSRR Academy. Its a small place with decent seatings. It might get crowded during lunch time so plan and visit.
P.S : they also have home delivery and available at few online delivery services also.
I finally went here for a lunch with my biryani squad. We ordered Mutton fry, Pepper chicken, Mutton chops, Kheema balls in starters. And of course Biryani the showstopper of the meal.
Mutton fry is spicy and must try! Pepper chicken was also good. Mutton Chops doesn't come like a think gravy here but tastewise it was really delicious. Kheema balls was perfectly cooked and goes well with Chapathi or mudde also. The quantity of each is pretty good for one!
Mutton Biryani here is just phenomenal. It is flavoursome and has succulent meat served with two different types of sherwa & raitha. I loved the Biryani and we did go for an extra serve.
Their sherwa has a distinct taste. This biryani is what makes me come back again!
We ended our meal with tomato rasam ( spicy one ).
Staffs are very friendly and good service. And the best thing is the prices are really economical.
I went with my office colleagues today with zero expectation as it was a quick google search to find a place close to my office. We ordered Mutton Fry, Chops Masala, Kheema Masala & Mutton Biryani with mudde and rice.. Overall the experience was more than good, with this pricing i feel this food is fabulous... If you are looking for Natti style home food kind of place this should be there in you list.. Cons: Mutton Fry was not that great, i could smell the raw masala though the mutton was very well cooked but the masalas isn't. Other thing is the gravy & Biryani had good amount of fat in it. i personally love fats but not sure about others.
I went today , I had mutton chops and chicken marsala, really love the food espp mutton chops, must visit if u like simple and tasty food. My bill was around 230 and that is pretty decent.
Great food and taste - good place natty style and it's purely karnataka style and taste is wonderfull good place to visit with family .......
I'm in love with this place π I was here with Navneeth Thimmappa and Vinay Nagaraju (WOMP: Whats On My Plate) for lunch on a Friday. This 22years old place has some 25-30 seats available. We ordered for mudde (ragi ball), chapathi, mutton kheema, mutton fry, mutton chops, mutton biryani, chicken biryani and biryani rice. All the mutton starters were too good and a must try would be the mutton fry. Damnn delicious. The sherwa given with dishes are very unique which goes good with chapati, mudde and biryani, white rice. Biryani here is definitely a new experience.. The piece in the Mutton biryani has a unique subtle flavour which will definitely boost your taste buds and crave for more on every bite. The cost for two here is Rs 350 and its worth every single penny.
Had biryani, Mudde, Bangda fry and mutton chops.
Chops and Mudde combination was awesome. Fish fry was ok and biryani was good but not up to the hype.
Affordable old school place, must try.
Best taste and homly food in Wilson garden and ragi ball is very nice In this place and authentic south Indian style ************************
Small hotel with goodtaste.Had biriyani and ragi ball, biriyani is excellent and worthy. Ragi ball was not prepared properly, had lumps. Would recommend this place for biriyani. Price is affordable.
Super and best taste and biriyani is ultimately super, and price is accpectable , good quality, good taste, good food, cool place, finally biriyani is best
I ordered in swiggy and I had chicken biryani and chicken kabab, taste was good decent
Good place nice taste
Feels like home food
Amazing place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner.. authentic food.. Taste is amazing must visit place to taste some amazing food... 100% hygiene is maintained.
Little bit congested..in first floor..
but food taste was good...
Ordered all the mutton side dishes...pepper fry, chops, kheema, curry, dry....yummy and lip smacking...
Checked it out based on a reel that I happened to go through. I forgot who did this...but thanks anyways
Yes, worth it...
No professional service available. If you are hungry enough to have good quality mutton Briyani this place is for you trust me quantity is little less for my appetite so I have opted for 2 but 160 bucks you can't ask more. Thoroughly enjoyed meal on banana leaf. Must try their butter milk and meals. Third party delivery guys on queue every time this shows their popularity. Street parking for 2 wheelers only available .
Bon Appetite Chef BB
The mutton liver fry is exquisite fresh and made well, just the right way.
Plain simple and heavenly!
The Tomato pappu was basic, fresh and right an accompaniment to white rice.
Came across Sahana Hotel when I searched for military hotels in wilson garden. Brilliant place. Had mutton biryani ragi mudde mutton chops mutton fry and mutton leg soup and also parcelled two biryani all for rs. 575. I would say this is at par (or better) than Shivaji
Specially in this surrounding who want to taste naati style this is the best place to have highly recommended and donβt miss the pepper chicken π
I have been visiting to this hotel since my childhood. It has the same teste. Must visit and try Ragi mudde and mutton chops.
