North Karnataka food is a good option for a low budget, light and healthy meal. Most of the stores selling north Karnataka food items have this mini version of a meal which costs between Rs.50-70 for a tummy filler.
Looks like a regular stores, you will find quite a few of these stores or Rotti Manes around Bangalore, not so many in Indiranagar though. Looks like this place close to the Cauvery School has been around a while.
They have 2 types of curries for every meal with your choice of chapathi/jolada rotti (makki ki roti) or fresh hot akki rotti. They have medium spicy and hot curries which are authentic and homely delicious. One will be a legume such as black eyed peas (the best) or black chana or kabuli chana and the other will be the north Karnataka special eggplant curry/ badane yennegai or a capsicum potato curry. The best combo I have had so far is the eggplant curry and the black eyed peas. They have many variations I am sure, just that I have been there just thrice and this is what I have had.
The chapathis and jolada rottis are delivered from outside, and is usually cold. So your best bet is the fresh hot akki rotti, just off the griddle….though there are times when they do not have this. You can have any number of servings of the various rotis and the curries for a very nominal cost. The freshly made hot obbattu is a good end to the meal. This type of obbattu (sweet) is not the type I am used to so I don’t favour it much but the freshness is an attraction.
Great place for bachelors and its been a good option for breaking a fast /a one meal only day when you don’t have time to cook. This feels homely and nice.
There is only one plastic seat (stool), else you have to stand and eat and wash your hands on the pavement. Still, it is a peaceful place where you can eat at your pace (if you get in early)and relish the food. The guy who mans the store and makes the akki rotti, obbattu is a soft spoken guy who lets you be.
There are quite a few condiments /pickles here that may also be worth a try.
I wanted to rate this 3.5 but there is no more 0.5 option in zomato.

It's cool n nice road side eating...!!! Healthy n tasty....!!!! Curries wud have been lil spicy to match dull tasty rottis but overall nice food....!! But might not fit girls as we gotta stand n eat....!!!! But good food...!!! I might give 3.5 stars coz 1.5 stars are lost for its lack in dining....!!
I had a great time with my family here. The staffs were amazing. The food was good however, it was not very hot, it was warm. The starters were great and the main course was also delicious. It's an unlimited thali so you can ask for as many times as you would like to. The interiors were great. You can go for tables and chairs or you can also choose to sit down to have food. Overall it was a good experience.
Beautiful place with good vibrant of Rajasthani. It will be a delicious treat if one enjoys Rajasthani good . We visited on Friday and the unlimited thali costed us 569/-.
They provide Thali which had wide ranges of food with the starters, sweets, rotis, khichdi and rice. Kashmiri pulav had more of jeera taste and it was ok not that great .Rest everything was perfect.
Good Rajasthani themed restaurant, polite staff but they need bit of training at this moment. Had tried their shitalahar thali(winter special). Fair deal.
Overall good experience. Family friendly, non-alcoholic, You can try!

Hello lovely people I recently had
visited @yummynh8 which is located in Indra Nagar.
This place reminds me of Rajasthan as it is a very
amazing Rajasthani themed restaurant which
provides the authentic taste of Rajasthani dishes.
This place is definitely a must try as they provide a
huge tally at a very affordable price. I was really impressed by their charts and their starters. I love
them. I think even you should definitely go give them
a try. @yummynh8
All you can eat Rajasthani (vegetarian) thali restaurant. The menu is elaborate. Being a Rajasthani Marwari I believe I can say dal baati here is excellent. Bajra roti, bajra khicdi etc are also good.
Parking is not available. You have to look for space in nearby lanes.
This restaurant is a must-visit for vegetarians who love Rajasthani cuisine. Their thali has more than 25 tasty dishes, showcasing the flavors of Rajasthan. The restaurant's ambiance is filled with Rajasthani vibes, making it a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The staff is friendly, ensuring a great time. If you're a veg lover, don't miss out on NH8 for an authentic Rajasthani feast in Bangalore.
Food quality is good, but a little costly... I visited this place with my friends..
One of the worker named Rohit was very kind...
Food is awesome. Must try churma, dahi vada, rabri, moong dal khichdi. Sattar, Gaurav and karan (helpers) had served us the food and their behavior was really good
Amazing Rajasthan food. Service is excellent and there is good ambience. The Rajasthan thali is quite good. Manager Renu is very impressive and good luck for her to get into the civil service.
They offer discounts for various groups of customers.
Great ambiance. Very close to actual Rajasthani Thali. Quite poor service.
I recently visited NH8 with my family to have some mouth watering Rajastani thali and we all really loved and enjoyed the food.
This place is very calm and colorful and you get the feeling like you are visiting some resturant in Rajasthan.
The thali consists of 20+ varieties of food and all tasted so yummm. My favourite was Moong Ka Halwa,
Bajrey ki Roti,
Rasgulla and
Moong Khichdi.
Very beautiful ambience and nice place to hangout withfriends and family.
People here knows how the hospitality should work in food industry. These guys are too well to manage their guests/customers.
Food is good, you will get the different fixed menu of the Thalis here for different days.
I have visited quite a few times with family and friends and trust me the place is too good, if you are looking for amazing unlimited Thali items.
Must visit.
Only buffet was available. Costed us 425 per person. Good service and atmosphere.
Cordial staff.
Car parking is tough, you need to park in side roads
NH8 Resturant is a very good place to have your Rajasthani Thali with your family and friends.
They serve more then 20+ varieties of delicious food and the menu is different every day and the price chages according (weekdays & weekends).
My favourite was Moongdal Ka Halwa after tasting this I went into my childhood days.
Very clean and colorful ambience and staff people are very friendly.
