One of best vegetarian restaurant..in Bangalore nice ambience tasty food courteous staff ..
Typical healthy food which is worth the money. It costs around 450/- for buffet.
Must try: transparent sandwich and baby corn.
Donโt forget to try all the other sweets too.
Had organised my ring ceremony here in their party hall and must say everything was organised very well. The welcome drink and food were excellent. I would like to thank Mr.Viru for his excellent hospitality and recommend this place to all for events like birthday parties, engagements or any other functions. A nice place to have dinner with family. The ambience is good, choice of food aplenty and delicious taste not to mention the great hospitality. A place worth exploring if you happen to be around Malleshwaram.

To start of with the ambience it's has the essence of the old India with all the movie songs playing in the background, with retro posters on wall.
The waiters were quick to response and really managed to serve on time. I didn't see a single customer serving themselves as the waiters were really active. Great job with that!
Food wise it was delicious but few things were a little too blank and didn't have a good taste. The highlight of the day was the sizzling brownie which melted my heart.
The only thing I did not like about the place was the price which was very high for the quality of food. High price for vegetarian is ok but this was a little too much.
Over all it was a good experience!! Thank you 1947 for a warm dining.

Teachers day celebration at 1947 veg buffet,they have a nice sit out place for the buffet and the spread was really good.
Soup was very tasty
live counter chaats,sev Puri was really yum
Live counter pasta: cheesy pasta was ok
Starters was awesome: paneer,potato,tikki,dokhla was all so tasty
Salad counter: bindi,fruit salad was also so good
All the subzi along with Naan,roti n kulcha was very very good
Rice items were average
Desert: phirni,halwa,Chum Chum,icecream with sauce was all so good.
Overall worth the money,yummy food,had a good time.
Just one suggestion- if they could replace the half plates n the full plates with new ones it will be really nice,as some of the white plates are brown in colour,chipped off,cracked..so that is the reason they dint get a full 5* ..
They serve the best north Indian dishes in 4km radius. If we order for takeaways taste won't be good. But inside the restaurant the taste is great. Price is reasonable. And they should only change the names of dishes because no one can understand those names.

An ideal place for a family lunch/ dinner. Personally felt this 1947 was better than the other ones that I've been to. The menu, prices and quality of items differed to the better.
Had tomato soup and ordered for Babycorn crunchy fry, Corn and spinach finger and Masala Papad for starters. Babycorn crunchy fry deserves a special mention and is a must try.
Ordered the usual Indian breads which were soft and fresh. For sides we tried the Paneer tikka Lababdar and Dal Makhani which were good. The Paneer in the former was marinated to perfection. The only disappointing item was tawa Pulao which was extremely bad, and we had to leave it unfinished. Go try the place! ๐ฌ
If you are planning to step up your regular North Indian style dinner plans, this is a good place. Nice food and ambience. A tad expensive.

Amazing Ambience and amazing service by the staff. The food way delicious and one can savour the authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine. The pricing is a bit on the higher side but they make it up with quantity and quality.

Pleasant Ambience, courteous staff and tasty food.
There are a lot of choices to pick from. Some dishes, like Dham Curries, are not commonly found anywhere else in the city. The rabdi kulfi, which is a 1947 patent is a must-try!
After a religious trip to all the temples in Malleswaram, our family landed up here with so much hunger.ย
We wanted to taste something non traditional, and went for mango soup, which turned out to beย little sweeter, but good, and the usual aloo starter, paneer tikka lababdar with pudina kulcha and paratha, were of the usual taste.
Since my parents preferred south indian food, they ended up eating curd rice, fried rice and butter milk, which they liked.
And finally we finished it off with Malai Kulfi, that put an end to our delicious dinner.
Overall a good restaurant that satisfies the entire family's taste buds.

Went here for a buffet lunch, but was told that today there was no buffet. This, after a phone call yesterday evening, enquiring about buffet and other details.
Apart from that, the food was good and will make me want to try it again.
A very pleasant place. I ordered on a la carte basis, the dishes were served well, very tasty and I was satisfied with the quantity. The taste can be improved on certain dishes, but overall experience was very good. The ambience is really good and the staff are friendly.

Service and food was really good. There is a tomato shorba soup which I had couple of weeks ago, but was not available this time, but when we asked them to prepare for us, they did specially for us.

I was actually shocked when I first visited this branch of 1947 cause this is the only place where I got a table immediately and the place was vacant on a Sunday night...coming from a vegetarian family you're bound to know this restaurant and the branches in the south of Bangalore are always crowded no matter what day or what time..but that wasn't the case here to which we got into one conclusion that the food might not be as good here, but that was not the case the food was as good here as it was in the other branches. No clue why the crowd is less but had a good experience over all.

It is really one of the Best Restaurants for Pure Veggies.
Wide variety of dishes and served very well. Taste was really awesome. I visited with my family and Cousins and I can say that whenever I have to have veggie party ...I will consider it on top....This is because I am actually a Non-vegetarian.

I visited this place on a Christmas Eve. It's a pure veg place. We opted for buffet instead of a-la-carte. The place has separate seating for buffet and a-la-carte.
Food - It was a self service buffet. There were two soups tomato and manchow. Both tasted good. Then in starters there was paneer tikka, hara bhara kabab, peshawari gobhi and salt & pepper potato. I liked salt and pepper potato best. It was yum. Rest all were average. I felt paneer tikka and peshawari gobhi was slightly raw. In Chaat section, there was paani Puri and sev Puri both of which tasted average. Then there was white sauce and red sauce pasta. It was very good. Now, coming to main course, there was wide spread of curries and 3-4 types of rice along with schezwan noodles. I liked daal papdi, paneer jamun methi makhan pudina rice and dum biryani among the all. In breads, there was kulcha, naan and roti. I tried kulcha which was good. In indian desserts, they had seviya kheer, gulab sweet, burfi, gajar halwa and Ras Malai. Everything tasted average. The best part was the chocolate cake and the icecreams. The chocolate cake was amazing. Overall, the food was slightly better than average.
Service - The staff was good and polite. They were constantly taking care of breads and bringing the hot ones.
Ambience - There was nothing amazing. But it's a good and quiet place for a dinner. They have both sofa and normal chair seatings.
Overall it was a good experience. But they need to improve on some items on their menu.
I went into the buffet expecting the usual spread of starters (paneer tikka,veg kebab,and another dish or two)and main course (paneer butter masala,veg kofta, tawa pulao, fried rice and noodles with mushroom gravy)and that's what I got with each dish cooked to perfection.
Special mention to the chow potatoes as the potatoes were crispy from the outside and fluffy from the inside and perfectly seasoned.
The dessert also had melt in mouth malpuwa and really soft rasmalai along with multiple flavours of ice cream, would definitely recommend.

Quit nice place for vegetarian .had buffet the spreads are limited but were quit good .the service was also decent ..nothing special but yes you will get jain good as well so I recommend this for veggies.

Had been here yesterday. Ambience is good and spacious for family lunch or dinner. Regarding food
Soup, Dhokla, Chaat, Bhindi subzi, roti was good. Desert section was not that great. Only item we liked was pumpkin halwa.
Baby corn and Paneer looked colourful but was tasteless.

Whenever I feel like eating North Indian food, I rush to this place. Peaceful, quite and cozy is how I would describe this place. Copper glasses, golden yellow and brown decor. The service is prompt and the staff is courteous. I love the coriander and lemon soup. The food is palatable but slightly on the expensive side. The north indian sweet dishes are not great.
Outstanding place for veg buffet. Numerous variety and all of them are at their best. Be it curd rice , starters, paneer items, pulao/biriani, dal tadka, pasta, chat items, deserts. I'm fan of this Malleswaram outlet. It's highly recommended to visit, rest of your visits will automatically follow.
Been there with extended family and two kids last weekend. Everyone loved almost every dish in the buffet spread, especially chats and pasta. Felt there can be more options in the deserts.
Couple of points to note :
They do not allow Zomato Gold for buffet, so be aware of it before going.
Found the fire exit partially blocked with old furnishings, which is a safety violation (see attached pic).

1947 is the place you visit for delicious, north indian cuisine. The aam panna is a must have. The ambience is quiet and the staff are courteous. They have a buffet arrangement as well which I didn't try. Food is excellent. A good option for a family gathering as well!
1947 is the one of the best food where you will get quality North Indian dishes and variety of North Indian cuisine. Well disciplined staff and quick serving of food with the same quality is the main highlight.

This restaurant is a good place to visit with family. I have been to Jayanagar and Malleshwaram 1947 outlets more than 10 times. The food they serve never disappoints me. The range in buffet section is huge. Would definitely visit this place again!

Visited 1947 with family for a lazy holiday lunch and was really happy after the delicious lunch. We ordered a variety of things right from soup and starters to the Roti ki Tokri. The Veg Okra sabzi we tried was great. 1947 was an absolute treat and is a really great place to spend some quality time with your loved ones. The service at this place is good too.

Went to this place to have indian food after months of having only burgers and sandwiches whenever I wanted to eat outside. This place definitely gave good vibes. Liked the ambience as well as the food. Service on the other hand was a bit slow but the taste of food made up for that. Nice place for indian food.
Mayfair of vegetarian food.
The place is located in a well known surrounding and is hence easily approachable. The staff are extremely friendly and went a step ahead by helping us buy cake from a cake shop nearby and took care of elderly members in our family very well.
Coming to food, as mentioned above, it's a Mayfair of vegetarian food, yummy starters, excellent and warm soup, fresh indian bread, amazing Curries (5 varieties) and 4 delicious varieties of Indian Rice.
Being a sweet tooth myself, I must say, that the sweets here are something out of the box, it exceeded my expectations to another level. Would definitely visit this place again.

This place has good ambiance and staff. Itโs a must place for all the vegetarians, food quantity is nice and tasty overall a good place. Itโs easy to locate this place too.
We celebrated my son's birthday at this restaurant. It is the perfect place for any event if you are looking for veg (only) food. The manager is very helpful and co-operative. He went an extra mile to accommodate our requests. He helped us finalizing menu for the party. The food was very tasty and all our guests loved it. The chat counter was a hit. They served fresh naan to all guests. Rabdi with kulfi (dessert) was so yummy. We also ordered few paans from the paanwala counter (just outside the restaurant on the same floor). We had read/heard mixed reviews for this location but I will give them five stars. He also knows a decorator who did a good job. All in all, our party was a great success. I would strongly recommend this place and will continue organizing our events at this location.
1947 is same everywhere in bangalore and give similar feeling irrespective of Jaya nagar or any other place. I would like to give 3.5 but quality food and good service bring it to 4 ๐

Beautiful restaurant situated in the 4th floor. Attractive setup. Ambience is fine. I had been with 0 expectation actually, that this would be like any other pure veg outlet. But this was a surprise!We had a great buffet .Every item was great. It consisted of different cuisines: South, North ,Chinese, Italian, desserts etc. Quality food for โน500 . Pure Veg restaurant in Mantri mall and must try thali, thye have unlimited veg buffet with the combination of Rajasthani and Gujrati dishes.
on Tuesday it will be 50% off for everyone and you can try on the same day, worth for 330 Rs per head and if you are not eat much and trying on different days means you find this place is costly because the thali is 630 + or -.
on Wednesday for women's they have some offer of 350 Rs (please check with the restaurant for pricing).
try to visit by 12:45 to 1:15 PM in the afternoon to get table without waiting.

Good Rajasthani style vegetarian restaurant in Mantri Mall. Variety of items and taste is also good. Service is quick, even on weekend. They don't have a mini thali for kids, and didn't allow sharing with children.
One of the best Rajasthani food in Bangalore. Their service is excellent and menu is filled with 3-4 varieties of sabzi, Dal Bhati, dal, kadhi, sweets, and more!

Rajdhani restaurant primarily caters to the vegetarian family crowd that visit the mall. They are a Rajasthani thali restaurant that serve typical Rajasthani vegetarian meal with lot of items in small portions.
The waiters were not very pleasant. They tried to trick people into accepting drinks that are not included in the package by not communicating well.
The taste of the food was as good as mall food can get.
There is no long wait usually, some wait may be expected on weekends.

Very clean and hygienic place with friendly staff. They have a very high price on weekends and every Tuesday the price is reduced to 50%.
The place was packed on Sunday afternoon. The food was Rajasthani style, a bit different for our Bengaluru accustomed taste buds. Although the waiters were polite, we had to inform 2 to 3 times, just for getting normal hot water. The price is a bit expensive. Worth trying for once, but not for repeat visits. There could be better communication among fellow waiters to serve better.

I recently visited Rajdhani Thali resturant in Mantri Sqare mall Bangalore and tried their unlimited thali which tasted yummy ๐
As they are celebrating Mango Festival I tried those dishes which includes Mango in it.
My favourote was Aamras and Mango sabudana kheer which was outstanding. I really liked all the dishes and highly recommend this place to all friends to try this unlimited thali.
