Recently visited the Davanagere benne Dosa, Tried open, masala and plain dosa worth a try, but not a repetitive visiting place. Expected a bit more taste compared with other benne houses in Bengaluru, overall a good experience.
I ordered a benne masala dosa. It looked and tasted different good. Was for ₹80, cannot decide if it was worth the price. It was definitely something different since the butter is made in-house I believe. And even the potato filling is different than the usual places. U can only stand and eat here.
Good place for Davangere benne dosE in HSR layout. It's a bit on the higher priced side but the taste is quite fresh. White butter, fresh pudi, aaloogadde palya, chutney, everything tastes fresh. The dosE was nice and crisp, good golden colour, good texture.
Good davanagere benne open dosa. Can be made a little bit more crispier. Also has momos and chats in front of the shop.
This benne dosa has authentic taste of Davangere Benne dose. Prices are also reasonable.. We tried benne masala dosa and open dosa, both were really good in taste.. Not to miss their gulab jamun, which was just Rs 20 per piece..
AMAZING.. it's an awesome place for food lovers.. everything is well hygienic and taste was outstanding.. taste's no difference than davengere dose.. best in locality.. must taste butter paneer dosa n butter masaladosa
Best place for the Davanagere Benne Dosa in HSR layout. They maintain consistency in taste and quality.
Tatte Idli is moist and will melt like butter in your mouth. Dosas are crispy and heavily buttered. Try any of their dosa and you would definitely love it. Chutney is bit spicy but makes it a perfect blend for those Benne Dosa.
Quantity of a single dosa is as good as a meal but I always end up eating atleast 2 dosa because of the taste. Serves the best Tatte Idlis in HSR Layout. Prices are lowest I'm comparison to other Davanagere Dosa outlets in Bangalore.
Highly recommended place 👌
It is one of the most famous outlets to have proper south Indian food. Specially benne dosa. We tried the famous masala paddu aka appe. Really tasty. It's like any other appe but still so much more fluffy, perfectly cooked and delicious. Chutney served along, was equally good and no doubt there's something about the place that makes all the regular southern dishes so much more amazing. I'll recommend this to anyone who's new in Bangalore. Service is good too. However a few things like a little more quick service can be taken care of. Rest definitely a good place to have good food at pocket friendly price.
The taste was good but missing the original flavor
Taste wise it's a perfect place but the process of delivering needs to be changed. I ordered 2 dosa for two people. There was a gap of 10-15mins between each dosa time even bought are ordered on same bill. Instead token system will help to reach customer satisfaction.
This is the first time we tried benna dosa.
Benna podi dosa and benna masala dosa tastes good, they used more butter. Not spicy. Chutney they made with coconut, not spicy.
One among the best Davangere benne dose points i have visited. Good taste, it's smaller eatery but they have maintained hygiene and quality. It will be heavily crowded over weekends so expect a waiting time of around 15 to 30 minutes.
They will also have a huge queue from delivery partners as well but i feel it's worth waiting for the taste they provide
We have tried benne dose, masala benne dose, benne Kali and thatte idli. So overall recommended if you are around this locality
Went there on a Sunday morning for breakfast. They have only self service available. You have to bill for the food first and then wait for your turn. They add a very generous amount of butter on dosa and you can witness the making right in front of your eyes. The price looks kinda expensive, but considering the amount of butter it can be justified. Podi idly was not having enough podi in it. Dosa was nice. They'll give potato masala for normal butter dosa as well. Chutney was watery. Parking will be an issue for 4 wheelers.
Benne Podium Idli is very tasty. Cost is slightly on higher scale but okay for occasional visit
This is our 3rd time here..we come here once in a while for the taste.
We tasted Benne Mushroom Dosa, Benne Masala Dosa, Benne Open Dosa... Hot hot it superb breakfast.. Bit on high calories but worth it. Cost is not much okay... Like 60-80/- per dosa.
You have stand and have... Not sitting arrangement.
Car to be parked near road side.. Enough space is available.
I would suggest to go and taste the dosa hot hot.. It's awesome than getting parcel.
Must visit once.
Loved the texture the first time we visited 6 months back. But this time, the dosa was soaked in ghee that it tasted of nothing more than the ghee.On peak hours, there is limited seating capacity and parking space.
As the name of the place suggests, it serves one of the best Davanagere benne dosa. The dosa is really fluffy, tasty and served hot. The masala aloo inside is made subtle so that it does not overpower the taste of the dosa. Also the price is really worth it and will be your best hangout place served with tasty food. Along with this, tatte idly, benne paneer dosa were also good.
Good place for breakfast and evening snacks or light supper.
Open from 7.30 am - 12pm
4pm -9.30pm
They have varities of Benne dose. Tatte idly.
Evening some snacks like Nargiz mandakki.
They have introduced palak , mushroom etc Benne dose.
Self service.
Dose was crispy , had good amount of khara chutney inside and those mashed potatoes were perfectly cooked. Idly was soft. So I was happy. But chutney was too spicy. May be they added more green chillies. Shenga chutney is okayish.
Located in HSR layout sector 7 opposite to reliance trends. One can get good Irani chai in the eatery next to this.
