Visited this place to taste the ethnic food while in this city.
We sat on first floor of the restaurant, it was clean and staff was courteous.
Ordered Masala dosa and idlis first. Both were delicious! Dosas were amazing thick and little crispy, pure Karnataka style as we were told. The chutneys accompanying were also yum.
Ended this gastronomical story with a filter coffee which was great too.
Will surely try leaf thalis if get the opportunity to visit again.
Excellent vegetarian food options. Good & Friendly Service. Comfortable ambience. They play videos about history, vision and journey of Paakashala, their network, etc. which is an informative effort. Also they play photos of celebrities visiting paakashala adds to their goodwill. Taste is something amazing....great. Only difficulty is lack of parking since it is located on a main busy road.
Tried idli vada n coffee. Both are good. They should increase the chutney and samabar quantity. It’s not enough in first , i had to ask for chutney n sambar 3 times to complete the idli n vada. Even they don’t give enough chutney even if u ask for more.
Good was really good. Lot of varieties. Served on banana leaves. Side dishes, main course everything was too good. The taste was really good. We went to second floor. Ambience was little suffocating there. First floor ambience should be good.
Very nice vegetarian feast on plantain leaf with variety from West Coast of Karnataka. Loved the varieties and the quantity and quality of food. Service was good and recommend to all who enjoy vegetarian karnataka west coast food!! Try it out and you'll love it 🤩

I recently dined at Paakashal restaurant and had the pleasure of trying their idli sambar dip. The experience was delightful, to say the least.
First and foremost, the ambience of the restaurant was top-notch. The atmosphere was welcoming and set the perfect tone for a relaxing meal. The decor and lighting created a pleasant dining environment.
One thing that truly stood out was the ample space to sit comfortably. It's often a challenge to find restaurants with enough seating, but Paakashal had this covered. We didn't feel crowded, which added to the overall enjoyment of our meal.
Now, onto the food itself. The idli sambar dip was a highlight of the visit. The flavors were authentic and it was evident that the dish was prepared with care. The idlis were soft and fluffy, and the sambar had just the right balance of spices and tanginess.
Paakashal restaurant not only provided a delicious culinary experience with their idli sambar dip but also offered a welcoming ambience and ample seating space. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu.
This place and food is pure nostalgia. The vada, the rava idli, the open butter masal dose, the chutney, the sambar, and the coffee were all perfect.
My criteria of a good Vada is the sound it makes when you dig the fork/spoon into it. And, the vada here passed the test, like always.
The rava idli was fluffy and light. It was accompanied by well flavoured sagu and chutney.
The open butter masala was delicious and had the right amount of crispiness and generous dollop of butter.
I traveled 20+ kilometres on a Saturday morning for breakfast and the vada made the trip totally worth it!
Must visit! If you haven' t yet, you are missing out.
Very nice place to enjoy South Indian foods. Must try any types of dosa. The coconut chutney with dosa is just yummy.
We tried vada and idli as well.

The food was decent. Not too spicy which meant it was too bland for my taste. The service is amazing because they are always on their toes to get you anything you need. The ambience is also really good. The one star I removed is for my tastebuds. Good place for family. And friends who are family.
