We wanted to try Kashmiri cuisine and reached Sarposh. The staff are very friendly and suggest food based on your preference. As we were vegetarians the options were very less but we enjoyed the food.
This was my first time trying Kashmiri food and it was pretty good, low on spices but still tasty. Would recommend trying the tea options to taste something new. The staff are very friendly and service is excellent, the ambience was spot on and looked really calm!! The price is quite expensive and it's definitely a must try place for both veg and non-vegetarians!!
A Flavorful Kashmiri Delight: A Must-Try Wazwan Experience!
If you're looking to embark on a culinary adventure, look no further than this authentic Kashmiri restaurant, renowned for its delectable Wazwan. Nestled within Indiranagar and inviting ambiance, our visit to this establishment was truly unforgettable.
The star of the show, undoubtedly, was their famed Wazwan - a unique and traditional feast of Kashmiri delicacies.
The Wazwan trami, a traditional seven-course meat-based meal, is shared by up to four people on a large copper platter. It serves 4-6 individuals and includes drinks like Kong Kahwae, starters like Maaz Seekh Kabab and Tabak Maaz, mains such as Meith Maaz, Ristae, Rogan Josh, Marchewangan Kormeh, and Gushtabae Yakhein, rice known as Kong Batte, and Kong Firin for dessert.
Each dish was a delightful blend of aromatic spices and rich flavors, taking our taste buds on an exciting journey. For those unfamiliar with Kashmiri cuisine, we recommend arriving with an open mind to savor the diverse array of dishes this place offers. Portions are large so ensure you go empty stomach to do the justice 😊
The staff played an integral part in elevating our experience. Their warm and friendly nature made us feel right at home. They took the time to explain the intricacies of each Wazwan dish, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Apart from the extraordinary cuisine, the restaurant also offered valet parking.
In conclusion, this Kashmiri gem is a must-visit for all food enthusiasts seeking to broaden their palates. The enchanting ambiance, delightful Wazwan, and hospitable staff make it a perfect choice for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Kashmiri cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore something new, this restaurant will undoubtedly leave you with a satisfied heart and a longing to return.
Really loved it.
The food is so different from what we are used to. Even the Rogan Josh tasted very different and yummy.
Tried the Sat seyn trami which is a 7 dishes banquet meal. We were 6 of us so ordered two extra serves of Tabak Maaz and maaz sheekh kabab. Other than the starters the remaining items were sufficient for us just that we had to share the meat balls and chunky mutton pieces that were portioned with 4 pieces each.
Maaz is basically mutton. And the place or may be this option is best for the mutton lovers.
Most of the dishes, especially Tabak Maaz and the rogan josh had strong mutton flavour and had a good layer of fat in the meat pieces. So if you are not a mutton person you might not like them. Even the meat ball gravies were amazing and had mutton flavor. The boti was surprisingly good. The Kahwa was also very special.
Phirni did not disappoint too.
The meal will leave a thin layer of saffron colored fragrant grease on your fingers as the meal is a rich one.
Service was the best and they made sure the items are served hot, fresh and on time one after another. Ambience is very pleasant and welcoming too.
The place is slightly towards the costly side but the quality of the food justifies it.
We loved our Kashmiri food and service experience at Sarposh. The menu is designed cleverly giving us an opportunity to try all the traditional dishes of Kashmir. The portions were plenty that we couldn’t finish but we certainly left the place with a happy tummy and heart. Highly recommend their bottle guard curry cooked in curd and mushroom curry. And their sourdough roti are not to be missed. Very delicious!!
Had come back from kudremukh trek chikmagalur karnataka
After google searching kashmiri wazwan
I found this SARPOSH 2 klms away from my hotel and hence got there by Uber.
While entering in the restaurant it was amazing unexpected, everything was exotic and awesome rather concoction of modern and classic .
And after I got the food on table it was amazing In relish size quality and presentation by Mr Arif hussain from badgam
Such a meek and down to earth person really appreciate his service
So a big applause for it's owner AZMAT ALI MIR
Good Kashmiri food. Awesome depth and variety in menu.
Ask waiter for support as menu is exhaustive. Veg and non veg thalli is simple dish.
Kawha is a don’t miss dish
Live and eat Kashmir food here, one the best in Bangalore. Khawa is delicious here, tabak maaz is a must try here. The ambience is beautiful, with a complete kashmiri touch, there is a proper seating area, like people eat in Kashmir. It's a must visit for people who love Kashmiri food and its culture. The people running the place are well behaved and they serve fresh food.
We went for a Sunday Lunch at Sarposh. Though Kashmir cuisine is predominantly non-vegetarian, the staff suggested many options for our vegetarian requirements. Very flavorful food and excellent service. We were a bit apprehensive due to the approach, but the interiors are cozy and welcoming. The best part is the staff is willing to go the extra mile to cater to customers. They even made vegetarian dishes not in the menu.
A good dining experience.
It is a good place to take a break in Indiranagar, Bengaluru,it is a very busy place so you should plan on waiting for 5-10 minutes after you arrive. It is easy to park because there are a lot of spaces available.
I really like the atmosphere here, the music is soothing, and the ambiance is great.
The food was good, the service was okay, not too much of a wait time. we really liked the rice and the curries were exceptionally great. I would recommend taking a break from a long drive.
Had Maaz Traem (mutton platter), girde tchot (bread), leymb babri byol (lemonade) and Kahwas. Amazing food and great service. All the mutton dishes were really great. Tabak maaz (mutton ribs), gushtabae yakhein (yoghurt based meatballs) and ristae (fennel based meatballs) were amazing. I would come back over and over again for gushtabae yakhein.
Tucked away on the first floor on 80 ft rd in Indiranagar is this gem of a restaurant. If you've ever eaten Kashmiri food, then you know the techniques and ingredients of this magical cuisine are highly specialized and not easily available. Sarposh brings this unique and delicious cuisine in all its authenticity to Bangalore. Everything from the decor to the staff is Kashmiri and you're transported to the beautiful valleys of Kashmir!
The food is simply outstanding! We tried the traditional restaurant, gushtaba, and seekh kabab. To wash it down, we had a kashmiri lemonade with basil seeds. Everything was delectable! If I had space, I would've ordered more! They ran out of phirni, but I will save that for next time.
Special mention: Our waiter Mohammad Hafiz was the most pleasant and attentive person. He made sure we had a wonderful experience and his sense of hospitality makes you feel at home. Keep up the good work and all the best to you Hafiz bhai!
Good food, excellent ambience, great setting. You wouldn't get such authentic Kashmir food. One needs to figure out what taste you would like as each dish has a different base. Remember the cuisine is quite different from "typical" North Indian food. The breads could have been warmer.
You walk into the restaurant and you are transported into Kashmir, the vibe and the interior is very authentic. We ordered Kahwa (Kashmiri tea) before the meal and it was nutty, refreshing and hot just like it should be. Sheekh Kabab was soft and tender, and the chicken was less spicy and fried overall just like Kashmiri cooking in some parts. It was a great experience and for people who don’t wanna travel to the tip of the country for Kashmiri cuisine, take an auto to Sarposh.
