I visited CT2 cafe for dinner. We tried Mulbaglu masala dosa, Chiblu idli, Tamarind rice, coffee and mirchi bajji and here's my rating:
Masala dosa: 3.5/5
Tamarind rice: 3/5
Chiblu idli: 4/5
Mirchi bajji: 3.5/5
Coffee: 4/5
I felt the price of Chiblu idly was quite high (₹40)
Opted for a takeaway early Sunday morning, it was just starting to get busy. Went for idly, ghee open dosa, ghee podi masala dosa and both masala and uddin Vada. Dosa was the best and Vada equally good. All the chutneys went well and perfect. Loaded ghee in all Dosa. Only thing I would say is on the idly, it's chiblu idly but it was not soft and could have been better. Rest all good experience and service.
The place is a little walk away from the nearest bus stop. It’s a small space by the road and has limited seats with one long common table at the entrance. The food was amazing and prices were very reasonable. One chiblu idli, one podi ghee masala dosa and one filter coffee cost INR 102. The dosa was the best and the podi masala with the potatoes was very tasty. Definitely recommend.
The best mulbagal dosa I have ever tried ..
We’re soo crispy and with loads of pure ghee ..
Favourite was posi masala dosa and onion dosa ..
Also tried the chow chow bath and lemon rice very good in taste ..
Affordable prices it’s a must visit cafe ..
They have a small Seating place and take aways as well …
Tried ghee masala dosa, ghee pudi idli and vada. Everything was tasty. Service is also good.

Situated on the outskirts of Bengaluru, this is an amazing place to visit on the weekend to enjoy a early morning long ride and hot and steaming idlis and dosas.
Had a great time at this restaurant that serves chiblu idli topped with ghee , that enhances the taste with chutney and sambar. The idlis are silky soft that melts in your mouth and the dosas were crispy on the outer side and soft on the inner stuffed with yummy aloo palya, crunchy onions and spicy masala. The place is crowded in the morning, but the staffs are skilled and they serve the food fast with a smile on their face.
Overall, an amazing Sunday morning ride that was made more worthy visiting this place.
Reg the shop, It's a very small place... U have to go through the crowd to give ur token and get the food.. But one thing, they will call u by token number so u can go and collect it.
Coming to the food, it was finger licking good.. Idli are too soft and chutney and sambar are different level..I tried Ghee masala dosa also, which also lived upto the expectations.. If u r living near this side, highly recommended to try...
I tried on Saturday morning around 10 am and during that time itself my token number was around 100..cost wise it may be little expensive but definitely worth for the money..
Don't miss it if u r near chairman's club
Very nice softest chiblu idly, melt in the mouth. Tasty masaladosa too. But the outlet in Shakaranagar please consider a place change. It is on a sewage canal and smells horrible. That's a big turnoff and also think about hygiene
The dosa here is really good, ghee pudi dosa is a must try!! Place will be pretty crowded so be prepared to wait in long queue..... Wouldn't recommend idly here..... It is soft and tastes good but similar to few other idly shop..... Overall very good budget place!!
Very good Mul Bagal dose point close to everything for North Bangalore residents. quality is comparable to original mulbagal dose.
Another speciality of this place is Bamboo basket idli( chiblu idli) which is also served steaming hot with various kinds of chutneys.
Evening time they have very good bread pakoda which I could not get anywhere in Bangalore of the same quality accept in Delhi. Accompanying mint yogurt chutney is also perfect.
2 Slices of bread is first spread with this chutney and then some spicy potato bhaji is sandwiched in between. This is then dipped in besan batter And deep fried to bring out this excellent bread pakoda. Not to be missed.
Strong filter coffee is also well made.
Tried mulbagal dosa. Crispy, oozing with ghee and really tasty.
But all three chutneys had extra spice level. Wish you reduce the spice level little more so that people can really relish.
Also almost everyone was wasting chutney so they should reduce the spice level and serve little less. whoever need more can ask again.
The dosa was surprisingly soft, fluffy , crisp on the edges sort of appam meets set dosa turns masala dosa kind of way. I thought it will be oily on the outside but it wasn't at all. I had podi masala dosa which has a generous amount of podi which over bites, took over my palate which was on fire towards the end . I needed bites of idli to cool down 😀. Talking about chiblu idli it's a fluffier version Tamil style idli which tends to be dense in the middle.the Idli on its own is bland , no salt in the batter whatsoever but with chutney it's decent. Vada was ok , nothing to write home about. All in all , gp for the dosa stick to regular ghee masala if u can't take a lot of spice, like me.
As for the place, it's self service with just 1 table and a few stools. mornings are crowded but the food keeps coming . As long as you figure out how to eat , it won't take too long. Not a great place to take young kids!
Located opposite to medstar hospital,Love the mulabagilu masala dose and the ghee pudi idli even Chibli idli . Ghee dosa and Pudi ghee dosa taste is super Service is little slow cos of crowd but fast enough. Eco-friendly plates . Like to visit this place again
I liked the Chiblu Idly. It was soft and different than the normal idly. Mulabagilu dose was good as well.
I visited CT2 Cafe for the first time and totally loved it...The snacks were crispy and delicious...The masala dosa tasted really yumm..The authentic chiblu idli is a must try...It's one of the best place in Bangalore to taste Amazing south Indian food with hygiene and Quality..The menu is pocket friendly...I highly recommend it to everyone..Must visit...
Liked the food there... But tummy wasn't full despite eating a whole dosa 😁
Enjoyed the famous mulbagalu masala dosa
