The menu selection is limited but the food is great. The mushroom risotto was extremely rich and delicious, and the ginger coconut cooler too. They didn't have the pumpkin spice hot chocolate, was really looking forward to that. The staff was really courteous and attentive, and the restaurant wasn't crowded on a Friday night. Would definitely recommend going here for a quiet delicious meal !
Experience food :)
Variety is to look for, in the buffet, both non veg and veg options are not only plentiful but delicious! Perfect mix of inventive and traditional menu.
The staff tries their best to accommodate any additional request, was served by Shweta, Saravanan and the chef Rukesh to satisfaction!
Was here at this restaurant both for lunch as well as breakfast.
The Lunch menu widens over various continental and as well Indian cuisines . For the lunch we went for continental and the must say the chicken was so nicely cooked that it almost melted in a second ( which is usually not the case while in grilled chicken) . A nice wide collection of wine to choose from as well.
For the breakfast they provide a wide spread right from continental to Indian and south Indian to be precise.
An authentic south indian coffee to die for ! All in all very worthy experience !
Love the live piano during dinner and flute music during breakfast. Sets the ambience.
Food options are wide. Vegetarian and kid friendly.
Staff is courteous but service is a tard slow.
This is the place for dessertarians..
Firstly, very hygienic ambiance.
Covid-19 protocols strictly followed, every staff member was wearing a double mask and place was well-equipped with hand-sanitisers.
Outdoor seating lovely.
Friendly staff.
Talking about the food, I’m a Biriyani lover! Hence tried their Hyderabadi Chicken dumb Biriyani, it was so delicious that my mouth is salivating while typing this review!
We also ordered the buttermilk marinated chicken, this could have been a little more spicier!
It was my mom’s birthday, so asked for a little surprise and loved the efforts taken by the staff.
Special mention to Upasana, she was helpful throughout, from making a reservation to bringing my mom’s surprise!
Thank you,
We had a great time :)
The food is the primary focus! We loved the ‘Chicken Onion Soup’ to get your palate started and if you just love Chicken do not forget to try the chicken marinated in buttermilk and crispy fried to provide you a delectable combination of juicy and crispy! The ‘Wild mushroom ragout’ is for people who love Italian flavours. A nice dish that’s subtle and yet not so filling. For main course there are a host of scrumptious options like the ‘Maori’s Lamb Chops’ (New Zealand Lamb chops with root vegetable puree’, crispy fried kale, Tomato and leek confit) or the ‘Tonga Reef’ if you love salmon. Among these delectable international dishes, you shall also find Indian highlights such as the ‘Kabini Lamb Chops’ or the ‘Kottayam Fish Curry’. There is a selection of Pastas and Pizzas in case that’s what you are looking for. And keep some space for the Signature ‘Bullseye’ a luscious chocolate and ice cream dessert that hits the right notes!
The flavours are on point and each dish represents a sophisticate cooking technique by the chefs.
How’s the Ambience?
The restaurant has ample dining areas that include indoor, partially covered and open air spaces. You may choose what works best for you. The seating is pretty well spaced and offers much privacy. The greenery of the Taj Westend property provides the perfect backdrop to the ‘Machan’ experience. We particularly love the seating in the lawn.
We visited Machan restaurant (outdoor /alfresco ) lunch buffet on a weekday for our anniversary . This was our maiden outing in 2021 and since lockdown started sometime in March 2020 . We ware a little apprehensive about hygiene and social distancing . But this place is spotless clean , lots of place to move around and they make sure that we do not forget to put our masks on .
The Staff was extremely courteous attentive and customer centric . I had requested for a cake (I wanted a fruit cake , without any milk products .) They made a fresh cake and delivered within on hour . They set up a lovely table with flowers and decorations etc. and made us feel very special . Thanks a TON TO VENKATESH and BAREEN for everything . (attached few pics) .
Have not taken any food photos .But there is huge spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes , deserts , starters etc.
I would recommend everyone looking to be treated like royalty do visit this place .
Looking for a place to take your special ones for a memorable experience, no need to look for options TAJ is the perfect place to take them for dining. So I decided to take my inlaws for a dinner in Taj and we opted for Masala kraft since it was a north Indian restaurant, the ambience the decor of taj requires no description, just the name is enough. Though we have been to restaurants that have better interiors than masala kraft and better food, but the TAJ experience is all that matters and you should definitely take your loved ones atleast once for the experience.
Food - 4/5
The food was good in taste, nothing extraordinary.
Price -
You pay price for the experience here rather than the food 😉 It is quite expensive, but then again its TAJ!!
Was staying at Taj West End for the weekend, the buffet breakfast is hosted at Mynt. There are vast options and variety of every kind of food you would want to eat from Continenetal to South Indian breakfast. The restraunt opens in to the garden which has pitched tents to sit and eat as your bask in sunshine. The hospitality and service is as good as expected from Taj.
Located at Taj West End, Mynt is popular for its buffet lunch and dinner, though the a la carte is in no way disappointing. Beautifully lit with indoor and outdoor seating, it sure is one of the better gourmet restaurants in Bangalore. Perfect for a date or a gourmet dinner. Was here for our anniversary dinner, the fillet mignon was perfectly done and the staff courteous enough to get us a cake as well.
Mohan amazingly recognised us 4 years on from our last visit. And Saravanan took an earnest effort in engaging with our toddler, surprisingly earning his trust and comfort on the very first day of our visit. With that taken care of, the food and cocktails brought to our table only continued to elevate the experience, all topped off by our son cutting a pretend birthday cake with the staff singing along for him!
MACHAN is one of the finest dining experience with premium touch
Menu is overly priced where the usuals cannot afford but if you stay at Taj it comes for free ☺️
Overall a good experience of good & hygiene food
Have been to the Mynt restaurant at Taj west end and my experience is:
FOOD:
Average 6/10 didn't enjoy few food items, the fruits and watermelon juice were good but not the other juices and some of the food items are tasty and some are not at all tasty such as veg biryani (it's just waste to eat biryani there)
Ambience:
Satisfactory 7/10 the ambience was good and they used lot of ceiling lights with a natural skylight which couldn't bring the natural light at all.
Service:
Average 6/10 their service is actually good but the waiters just take away plates and waste a lot of food if you take your hands off the plate. So be careful before taking your hands off.
The washrooms were neat and clean but didn't have natural light inside. They felt completely enclosed with only artificial lighting.
Just returned from an absolutely delightful meal, and a happy belly! :)
Each of their appetisers, were better than the previous and the main course only took things a notch higher...
A special mention of Chef Nehal, who took care of our dietary preferences to the T and made some fantastic recommendations as well. And a word of praise for Dhruv Rastogi too, who took care of us perfectly.
Will be definitely going back for more, and for those of you looking to have a quality meal out there - thoroughly recommend them!
