Best place for family visit.
Hey guys, coffee house not provides any online delivery nor linked up with ZOMATO. So plz don't fell to any trap👍
Okayish to have vegetarian South Indian food also it's an Over hyped place I would say, the taste was fine but not too good!
Indian coffee house never disappoints. They have more than 300+ items in menu. In my two days trip i went thrice. Filter coffee and tea is very good only that they take too long to serve. Rawa masala dosa was okay, can be better. Omelette and butter toast are very good. Half fried eggs, egg cutlet are good too. In north Indian main course, i tried egg bhurji curry and aloo dum banarasi. It was all good. Naan was average. Overall a nice simple place to enjoy food in bhopal.
Great place 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.....finest south indian food and coffee☕☕☕☕☕ .....awesome location and environment ..... humble and polite staff 😊😊
Tried Cheese masala dosa , veggrilled sandwich, chicken biryani and cold coffee.
Cheese masala dosa and sandwich was awesome.
However i found chicken biryani bit bland. Cold coffee was ok ..not soo good.
Overall food experience is good.
1. Ordered Idly Sambar, Chicken Masala, Kerala Special Chicken Biryani and Fresh Lime Water.
2. The Idly was soft and fluffy.
3. The chicken masala was good and adequately spicy.
4. I was a bit disappointed with the Kerala Special Chicken Biryani. It felt more like Pulao.
5. Service is efficient.
6. Pricing is reasonable.
I love this place. The staff is really polite and they serve you the best south Indian meals in the town. In love with their tutti fruti ice cream, it totally evokes the child in me. Hope you'll too like the services.
If u r a south indian food lover then do visit here
Because its famous for its south indian food
Idli sambar vada sambar dosa and coffee tea
Indian coffee house T T Nagar Bhopal एक बरसो पुराना नाम हे जो कि वर्तमान मे नये स्वारुप मे नये भवन मे समस्त सुविधाओं सहित एवम् पुराने स्वाद के साथ कार्यशील है |
I go to this place everytime when i am in Bhopal. They serve the most authentic and tasty dosas compared to any of the restaurants in bhopal. My favourite is Sada Dosa
FRESH FOOD....if you want IT, rush here. Clean, no pretense place. However, during rush hours one can get restless. But the servings and portion size and cost are to die for. I just love the place...a mini JNU it is😄🤗🤗🤗
Very good food with good service. Rates are very reasonable and families do enjoy their outing here. Mutton dishes are excellent however I find the scrambled eggs on toast to be super.
This place specialises in its south indian cusine and serves the best filter coffee.
At a very reasonable price you can enjoy the crispiest dosa and some tasty sambhar and delicious coconut chutney.
And do enjoy filter coffee. Highly recommended.
My love with the place began way back in 2007. The no-nonsense approach in their style is what brings me back here every time. Love their dosas, biryanis, north indian food, everything on the menu for that matter. The staff is courteous and makes you feel-at-home!!
Check the quality and parallelly check the Price.
The best place to satisfy your real-time hunger, the quality of food they offer at such low prices is incomparable across the town.
You can hop in here for lunch, breakfast or dinner, the rush will be the same here. Staff is brilliantly trained & courteous.
I don't think that Ambiance will bother you here, because you are here to satisfy your hunger.
Food served here is in a quite presentable manner.
Now let us come to the food part
South Indian: Unmatched!
You can try any product like varieties of Dosas, Vada, Idlis, Curd Rice, Uttapam, Upama etc.
North Indian: Any Chicken Dish, Biryanis, fritters etc.
Biryani: Kerala Chicken Biryani is a dish worth dying for, the veg variant is also present.
Coffee: Regular filter coffee is a typical offering here, really you can find a poster here stating 'Coffee Making is an Art', which anyway is a fact.
Standardised products across any of their outlets, across country.
It is located in new market and has a decent parking as new market is always crowded.
i have never been a very big fan of indian coffee house except for its staple south indian dishes and it is the same here. To my surprise other dishes were good too here. I liked the kerela biryani. Even a simple omelette here tasted fresh and smelled good unlike any other indian coffee house i have ever visited.
The best place in north India to have a meal or anything
I've been going there every year. Really enjoyed their service although the place can get really crowded in the afternoon coz it's really good. Their South Indian, North Indian , chilly chicken n their signature coffee is to die for.👍#LoveICH
Food is good, atmosphere is okay.. services are slow they provide good amount of quantity, but also can get veg and non veg food. Prices are pocket friendly
The Food over here was satisfactory. As it has the South Indian handle, the south indian dishes were no doubt tasty, the north indian dishes were served with their own taste which were finger licking and yummy. It has good, neat and clean sitting arrangement in two floors. The service was good.
Prime location, not a good ambiance and place due to a lot of market and heavy traffic road adjacent. The service is kinda of different, the waiters remember the order by mouth instead of jotting it down. Maysore masala dosa is always good, definitely try chilli panner dosa, plain dosa is below par. Biryani was very bad in taste.
Need to improve quality and taste of sambhar and chatni.
Average rates and a dosa may serve min 1 and max 2 people.
When ever I went for official trip most of the time I visited this place.
The non veg preparation is excellent. The chicken masala n chappatis i had here. The chicken quantity were good.
The taste was awesome. Curry leaves taking a lead. The masala prepared is of their own. Little bit gravy but ok. Overall is a good place to visit
A good place. They have varieties of dosa and many other south indian food. Chicken biryani is really very nice and a must try. Noodles are also good.
ICH has been a most reviving place for me when ever I'm to Bhopal,it has been my favourite for filter coffee,an unending call for south Indian tastes/Kerala spices
Whenever I visit Bhopal, I never fail to go to ICH!
They serve great filter Coffee (I personally recommend - Medium Filter Coffee).
You may also try their Sada bread butter, I know it sounds weird but believe me they serve super soft thick bread with melted butter and goes well with your coffee!
They’re famous for Crisp Long dosa as well.
Overall- I simply love this place and the food.

Ambience - 7.5
Food - 9.0
Service - 9.5
Value for money - 10
ICH will always be close to my heart. As a student we used to visit this place regularly. Now I try to make sure to have coffee at least whenever I visit bhopal.
Recommended - chicken biryani, chili chicken, idli and filter coffee
This is a place where every localite certainly has lot of memories left with. The food taste is very good when compared to its price. A perfect pocket friendly restaurant.
Here you will find best South Indian food across the city. The non-veg dishes are worth trying here. If you are a biryani lover, then go for kerala chicken biryani. Here you will find waiters differently dressed altogether.
Though ambience is not too good but being the old place in the heart of the city, this place deserves to host everyone atleast once and believe me they will not dissappoint you.

Like all other Indian coffee house around the country, this is one place which is clean, good food and value for money.
The place is well lit and i have to admit this that I have always seen this place full even on weekdays. The menu here is so elaborate that they have 320 varieties including beverages.
They are famous for their south Indian but I find the north indian food also good.
This time we ordered veg special thali and Hyderabadi veg biryani. Thali was good in taste and quantity both. However the Biryani lacked the flavours. Hence .5 less else would have rated 4. But still worth visiting the place.
I've been here multiple times. The dosa's here are my favourite and they've maintained the quality. The chutney served along is also fresh. Their service is fast. However, the Chinese didn't taste that good.

Its perfect place for authentic south indian delicacy but their service is bit slow and take age to respond. Overall its a good place for morning quick breakfasts or trying south Indian delicacies, rest for other cuisines there are much better options out there.
I've tried many things from their menu....but chicken masala curry and cheese masala dosa are my favorite.... Filter Coffee is also a must if you visit any outlet of Indian Coffee House.
ICH new market is a good pocket friendly place when it comes to veg. But if I have to speak about NV which at first place isn't an ICH thing; I felt it is overdone on price for the plate which came. Our Order was their signature idli sambhar, dahi vada for me along with French toast and chicken 65 for my friend. Except for French toast all food was OK for the severe hunger pangs we had post some efforts on shopping. My personal take - pretty obvious... a south Indian restaurant is good for veg food!!!
Professional atmosphere. Good for those seeking soltitude. Great service, authentic taste. Not to miss best in budget. proper hygiene and sitting arrangement. Air conditioned. Easy to find.
Food was vfm. Kerala chicken biryani wasn't bad, it wasn't too great but good. Service speed was pathetic as there were only 2 servers but somehow after a bad experience elsewhere this was acceptable.
Decent place for a meal, had Puri Aloo - they were nice and of course Coffee, that's the only reason I go to ICH.
Ambience - 3/5
Staff - 4/5
Food - 3.5/5
Value for Money - 3.5/5
Just like any other Indian Coffee House, this one in Bhopal is your best bet when looking for a pocket friendly meal. Though they have a detailed menu, South Indian cuisines are the most popular choice.
This place is famous for South Indian cuisine. I have tried cheese masala dosa which is good, and their chola bhatura was awesome. This place is very pocket friendly, all the dishes you eat is value for money. I was little disappointed by their service nobody was interested to take order from us may be because it was overcrowded. I will suggest this place to all, if you want to eat good food without spending lot of money this is the place.
They have 300 items on the menu!
Sasta - Achcha and Swaad khana truly.
It opens at 7 am! Must try the tea! Idli sambar and Wada sambar are really good! Highly affordable! Highly recommended! Must visit ! Everyone was eating dosas or idlis or Upma around me. Very spacious place.
10/10!
Well perfect South Indian style food Bhopals best dosa n Medu Wada centre is this place even the chutney and sambhar are so delicious that you can't forget the taste u will
Definitely say "pet bhar Gaya par munn Nahi Bhara"...😊🙂
Founded in 1936, ICH has a strong presence across India with nearly 400 coffee houses. They Serve good Vegetarian food along with good beverages at a reasonable price. Specialities are South Indian food, cutlet, biryanis, poori chole and tuti fruity ice cream. Not a place to go if you're looking for fancy menu. Service is fast and ambiance is very calm and well air conditioned.

If you are a veg lover and want to spend some memoriable time with your family then i suggest you this restaurant.
Best environment good air conditioning dinning hall
And also having separate dining room for families
Taste is very good
If u wana hve south indian or veg its a best one in Bhopal. Interior is average. Had ordered Maysore Masala Dosa, Paneer Kadai, Paneer Shahi and Veg rice all just tasted awesome. I really loved d taste.
This is place is a life saver and never disappoints.. The taste is always the same and amazing since eternity
It's like home away from home. 🙂
Good food, good space, good ambience. A good family place. Must visit this chain of restaurant. Cleanliness, atmosphere all upto your expectations
Nice air conditioned dining hall, A mixed Gentry of families, couples, treat groups and I'm pretty sure I saw a meeting of serious looking people surrounding a guy who was in nehru jacket so yeah, a political meeting as well. In short, this is a place you go in your night pyjamas.
The dining hall had majority of round tables, that allows 4 covers. The colour schemes were quite light, with cream colours and the chairs were black, so I guess they complemented well, I don't know.
There were direct LED bulbs which were a little sharp. But hey I'm no expert on colour schemes so let's just drop it.
There were some elements in the dining hall which were quite old, and they portrayed what was in trend the time this place was opened. I saw a clock which easily was 10 years old.
Moving on he service staff was divided into 2, one with saafas were the waiting staff, and one with Anna topi, which were assigned for clearance. Majority of the staff ethnicity here are South Indian, which indicates why they're so known for their South Indian food. The ICH all across India has made a legacy that their waiters remember the order, without filling KOT's (order tickets).
Service is a little slow with 2 servers and 1 clearance staff looking over about 50 covers. The food was tasty, nothing elaborate and suited the palate of people here.
Please click the photos to see the reviews on the food.
Best place in Bhopal to eat a dosa I ordered Mysore Masala dosa the dosa was simply amazing Sambhar tasted like a typical south indian dosa and coconut chutney was good
One of the best my coffee place. Every time I got Good coffee there .quality of coffee and thickness is very good .way of serving and complement with coffee is amazing. Good going keep it up.
The masala dosa is the best dish to have here. Other dishes are also good. But the non veg is lacking a bit of taste. I usually come here for masala dosa and vada. Overall I'd say veg dishes are good and non veg is just fine.
Been there many times. Ambience could have been more better but almost everywhere ICH has same ambience. pocket friendly as prices are normal and especially if one is vegetarian, approx cost for 4 will be 400-500 only. Must try
Chicken biryani
Egg biryani
Chicken haandi
Masala dosa
Egg masala.
My to go place every time I crave the flavours of South India. All our meals inevitably end on the aromatic sips of some heart-warming Filter Coffee. The best place I like acting all know-it-all about the South, with my boyfriend.
This place does not need any introduction.. one of the oldest eating joint continuing with the same typical table chair concept with no-frills attached.. and guess what this place does not even need to do all these.. simply because people still come to this place for its food and for that feeling that you get when you sit with friends or family enjoying the meal together with that LOCAL touch..
Of all the stuff that I have tried here I love their chicken noodles, Nescafé and filter coffee, bread pakoda, aloo puri.. and the list will go on and on.. yes, the only food item which I haven't liked is their paneer pakoda as the paneer is totally bland.. still my mom loves it and orders it every time we go with her fav chai..
Staff - courteous
Space - quite good and clean
Parking - figure out yourself 🙂
Service - super quick
This place will continue to rock as always..
Next time I am gonna try their Kerala non-veg dishes based on the reviews I have read on zomato.. see u soon with my next review on the same.. until then enjoy the happiness together at ICH
ICH is definitely one of the underrated places in bhopal, it deserves much more appreciation than it has been given. Really a great place for snacks lovers. Good place to visit with family, friends occasionally. Chicken biryani is without a doubt my favourite cuisine here. Great service, low rates and highy recommended.
ICH , is a place where you go since your Childhood, and always remember it for the Big Dosa!
Well, it's a place which is for Family Dinner, as well as Treat to your friends ( In good budget), and let your stomach full in little amount of money.
They have no competition when it comes to South Indian dishes.
I like - Plain Paper Dosa, Rawa Dosa, Chilly Chicken and Biryani.
Well, I believe everything you get there is delicious, fulls your stomach and be pocket friendly at the same time.
At any time of the day, you can go and fill up your stomachs there, be it after shopping or just when you like to eat and shush your hungry stomach and taste buds.
One of the best place for breakfast. Egg dosa and cheese omellete is a must try. Very reasonable prices and known for authentic south Indian food. Ambience is very simple.
ICH new market is best in all locations.
location is top most and easy to locate
very happening place always crowded
Now come to food Mysore masala dosa/Tomato uttapam is delicious
Cold coffee is ok needs improvement
overall very good place and highly recommended
ICH as a lot of people know his place. Many come over for nice authentic idli, dosa and sambar but I come here for a hearty meal of veg cutlet and cold coffee (mostly end up ordering two plates of cutlet). I recommend this because a lot of my friends who shared a meal with me here have stayed loyal to veg cutlet for more than 4 years now.
T@he cold coffee is not any different or special but it is my personal favourite.
The ambience here is pleasant with no fancy lights or furniture. The service is also nice and is nicer if you speak Malayalam because the place is managed and served by Malayalis.
My personal recommendation to the management here: Lets try maintaining a cleaner washroom and area.
Indian Coffee house is not new to us, it's been in our life from the very childhood. We enjoy there dosas and other south indian cuisine. They have maintained their dosa and sambhar essence still. Just a small feedback that they should also now modernize and up thier game as that's the point where they are lacking. Overall a pocket friendly place to get your tummy full. 🤘
The chicken biryani they offer is one of the best in the entire city. The prices are a bit high. The dosa is good and mushroom curry is good. They offer a red chilli dosa which is too spicy ( just in case if you ever want to make an enemy cry ;) ). On the day of onam , they offer a buffet system sadhya , the typical banana leaf food mallus eat on onam. It was a good experience. Caution : don't ever drink their coffee , its really bad ( had revenge on my gf a coffee lover buhahaha ) and so are most other items. Not to mention paying the bill is a real pain as their taxes are too high.
This restaurant has been in TT Nagar for over 4 decades now and I remember feasting there even as a child. You get very authentic dosa here along with signature coffee and the best part is that it is open even on public holidays like Holi when every corner of the city is closed.
Car Parking: 6/10 (Very difficult to find a parking spot here. Prefer taking an Uber/Ola)
Ambience: 6/10 (Typical government canteen kind of set-up. Plastic nilkamal chairs, not so stable tables and banging doors)
Food: 8/10 (Keeping an extremely low price point in mind, the food is decent. We had chole bathure, dahi vada and cold coffee. Though the chole were of no match to the original punjabi chole but were just about okay. But the bathure were extremely heavy and not as crisp as I would have desired. I think, one plate could be sufficient for two. Then we also had cold coffee which I particularly liked. Strong coffee which was not overly sweet. I had to re-order the same. Dahi vada were also just about average.)
For about 100rs per person, this is indeed a value for money restaurant.
One of the best meals I have had in the city. Being a malayali in bhopal, i couldn't havr asked for a better restaurant. From malayalam speaking waiters to kerala biriyani, the experience was just fab. So we ordered the masala dosa, chilli chicken, kerala biriyani and coffee and cutlet and lime soda. The masala dosa was yummy with unlimited serving of sambhar n chutney. Filling actually. Kerala biriyani stole the show. Coated with masala and fried chicken, it was a delight. The chilli chicken was very tasty too cooked to kerala style. A great experience. The only thing missing was the use of beetroot in the masala which they use back home.
A meal for two will cost about 500 rs. Go during the weekdays to avoid the rush n enjoy a peaceful meal.
I remember going to this place when it was on the main road in the lane of top n town. I too remember when it was moved to the new location near the major nanke petrol pump. But most of all I remember the consistency that reminds me of home. If there's one thing that would surpass me in existence, it's this landmark 'The' Indian Coffee House.
Ambiance- crisp and clean
Service - no nonsense professional. Quick service to anything and everything.
Food- one of the best. If there's a food that I miss other than mom's food it's this- Indian Coffee House.
Especially from this particular outlet I love the veg cutlets, French toast, onion uttapa, masala dosa, idli sambar, tea and coffee.
PS- price-wise it's easy on pockets with out a compromise on the quality
I have been here infinite times and yet I feel I can't have enough. Just like the good food and service- it feels home.
The place is highly understaffed to handle the large crowds that throng the restaurant. Sitting at the table that is near the payment counter & kitchen would be advisable as it is easier to get hold of a waiter to place an order. Otherwise you will find yourself waiting for almost 15-20 mins before you can catch the waiter's attention.
Apart from that hurdle, the food was delicious and almost made up for the inconvenience at the beginning.
At the end though, the waiter mixed up our bill while getting the change after we had paid our amount of the bill. This hustle slightly marred my first experience of the restaurant and I'm kind of reluctant to go there again especially during rush hours.
Visited this joint a week back after a meeting as I was extremely hungry. Well, it is definitely counted as one of the places to go to for authentic South Indian cuisine. I personally feel that ICH is a little over hyped when it comes to Bhopalis. Might be because the food is quite simple and pocket friendly, because I couldn't find out any other reason. I found the food to be quite average though consistency is always there. Everything, always tastes the same.
We ordered for-
CHEESE MASALA DOSA- The dosa was well cooked and Crispy from the corners and soft where the masala was filled. The masala consisted of potatoes, chana dal, onions, salt, turmeric, and curry leaves. It wasn't spicy and was layered with a cheese slice. Cheese lovers can have it though they'll be disappointed after looking at the quantity of the cheese. Accompanied with coconut chutney which is made up with curd is cold and scrumptious. Sambhar consists a lot of garam masala (mixed spices).
MYSORE MASALA DOSA- The dosa consisted of the same masala as that of other masala dosas. The only difference being that the dosa sheet is covered with a tangy as well as spicy masala and then topped with masala. People who love spicy food can opt for this.
PLAIN DOSA- The dosa is cooked with the help of butter and is crispy. It's definitely amazing to eat as with every bite you can taste the butter and feel the munch in your mouth.
A pocket friendly place with decent quantity of food to fill up your tummies.
Masala dosa is very good. Rs 125. Big size. Fill your stomach and require no further order. Located at prime location. Comfortable sitting. Good to take family and friends. Reasonable cost.
The service, the quality and the quantity of food is excellent💯, this was my first time in coffee house, ordered South Indian food dosa, vada and idly, in North Indian chole Bahture all of them were very 😋tasty.
Uppumah is one of the finest dish in this hotel. Grill Sandwiches are really great. Idli and dosa are good but sambar is not good as that.Egg and veg fried rice are tasty. Don't buy chicken fried rice here.Service was great.milk is really really awesome to drink.
Amazing food at affordable prices. I love South Indian food. Idli sambhar is the best. Must try. Fast service.
Nice place to have meals. South Indian food was good. Liked mutton too. Service is slightly slow.
The usual dishes like masala dosa, vada sambar taste great but I did not find the same flavour in mysore masala dosa which has lost its spicyness. Same I found with chicken biryani The quality has declined- my personal view but there is always scope for improvement
My favourite Indian Coffee House which I always visit whenever I am in Bhopal. Excellent and tasty dishes, reasonably priced and cordial customer services. Very beautifully decorated each year during Christmas and New Year. Best wishes to the whole ICH Team

Good Place to have South Indian food. Mysore Masala Dosa was very delicious. Decent Atmosphere but the service is very late. One shall have to wait for a long time for getting their orders served
It's a nice place to enjoy food with family and friends. I always prefer to go to ICH as the quality of food has a benchmark; the atmosphere is soothing to all kinds of groups or individuals and it's brand value which is very high in all around areas.
The Service is Way too good, it's quick!
The taste of the food is marvellous when comes to south Indian cuisine.
The Dosa are Ultimate,Specially the Egg Dosa is something unique and Tempting i tried .
Along with it the idli and Onion Uttapam also did the justice to the authentic taste .
Authentic Kerala nonveg restaurant in Bhopal.
Excellent food quality and tastes are assured.
Best place to have dosa and filter coffee
Good food at an economical price. The service needs to be a bit better. But overall it is a good place and i would definitely recommend it
What a lovely place, best south Indian food in the town.
Also to share, have been into first Indian Coffee House, where Non-Veg is also there in the Menu.
Very tasty Mutton items, nicely made.
Must visit place in Bhopal
If you are a foodie and like Non-Veg and South Indian, North Indian, come and enjoy all under one roof and taste guaranteed
Ample of Parking Outside.
Indian coffee house never disappoints. They have more than 300+ items in menu. In my two days trip i went thrice. Filter coffee and tea is very good only that they take too long to serve. In north Indian main course, i tried egg bhurji curry and aloo dum banarasi. It was all good. Naan was average. Overall a nice simple place to enjoy food in bhopal.

Authentic south indian food plus good north indian food too.
But of you're going to ICH then go for breakfast... It's a best place to have good south Indian breakfast.. Specially you can order mysore masala dosa, vegetable cutlet, vada sambhar for lunch n dinner you can order Kerala Special chicken biryani or chicken biryani (if non vegetarian) they serve full plate n half plate both.
Overall the service is quick and good, food is fabulous and the entire staff is malayali.
Indian Coffee House is my loving Restaurant of Bhopal.
Having lots of South Indian varieties, specially Masala Dosa of ICH is the best in the city+other varieties like Onion Uttapam, Idli,Wada Sambhar also delicious. Atmosphere is excellent of family also.
