Went for lunch in Lemon Grass....the oriental kitchen of Mayfair. Nice ambience and decor. Would rate it 4/5 in terms of value for money. it's a perfect choice for anyone seeking an authentic Chinese/Thai food with a good ambience around.
Bhubaneswar citizens are always on the lookout for new cuisines and tastes. Singapore cuisine is quite acceptable as per the Indian palate. When talking to Chef Atish, Executive Chef, Mayfair, mentioned Singapore is about the combination of different cultures and has got the flavours of all delicious Pan-Asian cuisines. Lemongrass, Peanut and Galangal from Malaysia, Turmeric & chillies from India, Fish & Soy Sauce from China plays a vital role in Singapore cuisine.
The best part of the roll (apart from the roll itself) is the dipping sauce. A runny sauce loaded with Asian flavours is definitely a standout in the menu. Made from fine quality soy and packed with flavours of chilli, salt, pepper, sesame oil and peanut oil. This combination of ingredients makes this dip are an effortless winner on the table. You have to try it to believe it.
I went lemon grass for the 1st time and I loved it actually because of cleanness ,service and quality of food, yeah it's expensive but doesn't matter because it gives you amazing service and yummy food which every body wants because it's a restaurant.I love Chinese food so for me 1st is mainland China and 2nd is now lemon grass.
It was our first visit to this place and we had a veryy high expectation..
So we ordered pan fried noodles... Some chicken.. which was full of healthy vegetables and nicely cooked!!
Food was veryyy good in taste..
I went Dre wid my girlfriend and not me but they made my girlfriends day. It was her birthday and they surprised us with wonderful complementary cake even with a background birthday song.
It been the best place to have best food. cooperative staff, best service, best thai food, quality food, interior is also good. Thankq you all for making my day.
During my short visit to Bhubaneshwar i visited this famous place along with my parents..starting from the ambience, the food, the staffs everything was just amazing..all the food items that we ordered were just as we wanted and hence all of us liked the food..i am definitely coming to this place everytime i come to Bhubaneshwar!
This is one of the best in Bhubaneswar ....the food was amazing along with the service and preparation ....worth value for money .......some one called Vashnavi was accomadating.....keep up the good work , will visit again .🙂
Its one of the best in Bhubaneswar ... Amazing food perfectly served... "Absolute value for money" ... Service was awesome ... Someone called Vaishnavi was friendly and accommodating ...
It’s the best place to have Chinese food. Authentic Chinese food. Loved it✌️ I had lobster and it was yum yum yum😋I would highly recommend you all to go and have lobster
Well equipped restaurant, well maintained, fantastic interior. Staff of the hotel are very soft spoken. Food was love❤️ will for sure visit again.
I have been to the restaurant for the first time today and its was a wonderful experience. The taste the food was up to the mark. Quality service, quality food, quantity more than expected. Loved it😍
Been here on 15th feb’19. Food is great with polite staff. It is a casual decent place to have great food with authentic flavour. Looking forward to visit again.
One of the posh place in the city. Full of peace and tranquility, one can expect out of the box service and food quality. Price may look high but you have to spend some extra penny to feel the special treat.
One fine evening, we went there. Its inside Hotel Mayfair. We loved the ambience, top notch ambience, with paintings hanging, typically chinese themed ambience.✨️ We ordered Satay kai chicken, hakka noodles, panfried lamb, darshan with ice cream. All the items were very well prepared. Satay kai chicken amount was little less, but it tasted heavenly, especially the sauce given with it. 🍗
The waiters were cordial, just they served the desert very late. Overall its a fine restaurant for authentic chinese food. ❤️
:)
We had went to this restaurant on 1st June with mine family. Had enjoyed the ambience and had dragon Ball, honey chilly babycon, soft noodles, veg dumbling in soya garlic. All was good but the best one was dragon Ball.
Celebrated my husband's birthday there last night. The food was so so yum that every single guest was applauding the food. The staff are so very courteous. From the fish to the vegetarian items, everything is tasty. The ice cream at the end was a delight too. All in all, the experience was fantastic. A special mention about their service as they brought the specially ordered cake from Mamma Mia. A complimentary cake is usually provided, but in my case I wanted a custom cake for my husband. Double thumbs up to Mamma Mia too.
Generally i would have given 5 star to the restaurant with perfect service ambience and great attention to detail. But this restaurant no matter what will always fall a bit short on the expectations on the food department. With the amount we pay for the food i will not accept nothing short of perfection
Even the food we had on the occasion of malaysian food festival was good. The ingredients, the techniques all were good but the mess up on the taste front.
This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in bhubaneswar. Itis one of the restaurants by Mayfair group of hotels.

Overall,
Food - 5/5

Service - 5/5
Parking availability - 5/5
Value for money - 4/5
(I think it's expensive, but hey, it's a 5 star, it's meant to be expensive.)
Good Food, good plating as expected from Mayfair.
Amateur reception desk girl.
Pathetic service. Used the word pathetic intentionally because such poor service is not expected from Mayfair. Other restaurants staff behaviour might be acceptable but not from Mayfair.
Service is good and people are very well Mannered nd show well behaviour.food is awesome.normally recommend this to everyone..the taste of prawn is awesome.i love that.
Lemongrass is a well known oriental fine dining eatery in Bhubaneswar. Its Name is after the Thai herb Lemongrass. Located inside Mayfair Lagoon just beside the Reception. Ambience is more of Dragon themed which adds value to the area. Interior is more of Red and black themed whether its a wallpaper or table cloth or napron.
Coming to food, you can only get authentic oriental food over here. We went there to celebrate my colleague's birthday Dinner. We ordered their signature item Bali prawn which is crispy fried prawns with skewers and topped with butter garlic sauce. In starter also we had paneer sichuan chilli dry, green chilly chicken and smoked pla jalamet, a thai delicacy. All were superb. In main course we ordered pad thai noodles, prawn red curry with steamed Rice, pan fried noodles in hot garlic sauce. Mouth watering items really i had after a long time. Perfect balance of spices and seasonings.
Finally ended our meal with Darsaan and ice cream, chocolate majong with ice cream, tutti fruity, caramel custard and tab tim grob which is a thai delicacy made out of coconut milk and water chestnuts.
Service part was amazing and staffs are friendly. Even they suggested us the combination to choose which a rare restaurant does. I will highly recommend this place a must visit.
Kudos to team Lemongrass
👍👍🍾🍷😂😂
One of da finest Chinese restaurants in da country and not just da city. A competitor to Mainland China. Food quality is unquestionable...it's delicious...do try chicken n garlic and honey here...staff is gud ..interiors r extraordinary rendering a feel gud ambience....I recommend atleast one visit for a nice memory to cherish later on...
The location is accessible.
Staff courteous and professional.
Decor is a bit basic.
The food stands for the Chinese cuisine and the taste as well as quantity is good.
It's little hard for an Indian to fall in love with original Chinese taste in general and i believe most of the chef knows that already hence it's only fair to say "Lemon Grass" is an authentic "Indo-Chinese" eatery with little extra elaboration on Chinese decor perhaps to add the additional Chinese flavor to the servings. Nonetheless, a perfect place for a good nice meal to enjoy with your friends and family. I have been here a couple of times before as well and was never disappointed, they succeeded every time in satisfying the taste buds and the cravings.
We ordered Tai-Pai chicken, Bali Prawns, triple Szechwan fried rice after having a couple of beers, everything was awesome but a few more choices of beers in the list would have been better. The staff has upheld the reputation of Mayfair with their service and friendliness.
I would recommend taking a stroll after your meal, especially if you are there with kids, it's really nice outside with all decorative, two king-size aquarium and the artificial lake and all. The aircraft, however, seems little out of place to me.
Excellent ambience, good service and delicious food. Sometimes sounds bit expensive but quality of food and service is incomparable. Varieties of food options...
The ambience, food , service , hospitality of this restaurant is excellent. They serve with oriental food. Service is fast. Every dish tried by me were tasty. They provide corporate discount too.
Undoubtedly, Mayfair always charms you with its astounding ambience. This restaurant in particular was peaceful and quiet when we got there on a weekday afternoon.
We ordered burnt garlic clear soup and Veg dimsum for appetizer.
Garlic clear soup - Soul relaxing, healthy, warm bowl of goodness, loaded with veggies & mushroom (5/5)
Veg dimsum - perfectly translucent dumplings, soft and the filling was just about right! (3.5/5)
(We found it bit overpriced as they served only 6 tiny dumplings for 450 bucks)
For our main course, we went for rice noodles and veggies in Cantonese sauce -
Rice noodles - they have never disappointed me. Seasoning on point, perfectly cooked (5/5)
Vegetables in Cantonese sauce - So, definitely what these guys serve isn't exactly Cantonese style but as we love our veggies crunchy and with very less spices seasoning, we relished it with our noodles (4/5)
Overall, it was a great experience! :)
Very authentic Chinese decor, very attentive and courteous staff, especially Dibakar.
Well food was outstanding i mean from soupe to desserts eveeything was astounding.
We had tom yum, burnt garlic soup.
Main course: Crispy chilli chicken, pot sizziling fish in ginger n celery(must have), triple szechwan fried rice, chilli garlic noodle
Desserts: darssan with icecream, honey date pan cake with fried icecream, chocolate majong and tutti frutti.
For fine dine Chinese Lemon Grass is the place
One of the best resort and Handsdown to the awesome Asian restaurant. Attentive service and great ambience. Ate out to our hearts. A must if you're a chinese & seafood lover!
EAT review from @saydeliciaso
E-xperience : Can visit every restaurant at Mayfair Bhubaneswar / Puri / Gopalpur over and over again and never get bored of it!
A-rticle : The chicken American Chopsey (is a must try!), Bali Prawns (Seafood lovers paradise) and fried ice cream
T-aste : 5/5 for all
I go to lemon grass in my 1st date ❤️

Thank you mayfair for my “perfect date “
I was certainly impressed with the interior designing of this lovely Chinese style themed restaurant.
The food quantity was quite large which was delicious and appreciative.
The staff were attentive and polite which is always a great thing.
Food is good... Quiet place with nice music... A good place for family get-togethers... Chinese food served is nice... Decor of the place is really nice and exquisite
Excellent ambience...and quietly stands upto its reputation...The food is absolutely awesome...staffs are well behaved and the service is pretty good...

Chinese Food and Items is Synonymous to the Lemon Grass Restaurant at the Mayfair Lagoon.. Bhubaneswar. I guess this is the Oldest Exclusive Chinese Restaurant at Bhubaneswar.
Right from the Interiors and Ambiance, the Lemon Grass Restaurant provides an Authentic and Genuine Chinese Experience. Like for Instance the extensive use of Red Colour in their interiors.
Cost Wise this is way ahead of other Restaurant. But it doesn't matter and concern Much, considering it is in Mayfair Lagoon and also consider the fact genuine, exclusive experience comes with Price Tags.
Straight away 5.0/5.0 for the Lemon Grass Restaurant at Bhubaneswar Odisha.
This hotel is extremely beautiful. Each n every corner is interestingly decorated. It's a treat to eyes. We went to the Chinese restaurant of Mayfair lagoon hotel. We were amazed by the service and quality. Highly recommended to all who are visiting bhuwaneshwar. Will definitely come back again to try out other restaurants of the hotel.
Nice ambience with good food. Authentic Chinese food with all kind of beverages & dessert. Staff behaviour is nice. A must visit place for foodies.
By far the best restaurant in the city for oriental cuisine. When in doubt, just drive down to Lemon Grass. They never disappoint. The food is spot on. Ambience is probably the most soothing and peaceful amongst all restaurants here. The service is fantastic.
Perfect for dates, family dinners.
Foods are good, so are the ambiance. It was a grand get together of our family and we thoroughly enjoyed the treat. Somehow the choice of food we had ordered were not good enough.
This place can blow your mind. Am saying so because the ambience is so unique here that you will want to keep going again and again. The place is like a beautiful maze with good food and grand decor. Even the staff is really polite here. It's one of the best places in bhubaneswar.
When it comes to Chinese cuisine in Bhubaneshwar, Lemon Grass doesn't need any introduction. Visited this place on multiple occasions and loved the ambiance + service. It is a tad bit expensive bit worth it.
Excellent place, beautifully planned, extremely peaceful. The food was also very good but it seemed to be a little over priced as per the taste. I guess it was because of the place. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
This one needs no comments. Great food, great ambiance and great service. If you want some good luxury dining in Bhubaneswar this is your place.
Only drawback is the price.
This place was always there in my list. Finally visited and the ambience was so soothing, wonderful experience. The interior decor, the lights, cordial behavior of the staffs was just perfect. Coming to food, as we were running short of time so ordered Chicken Sui Mai and Pomfret with Chili Oyster Sauce. Prompt service I must say. Price is worth the taste. Looking forward to visit soon with some more time to spend and explore your menu.
One of the best places for Oriental food in the town. I've been going here since the last 10 years and it has kept up it's name every time. Amazimg prawns.
Bali Prawn is a must try. So is Fish in Banana leaf.
Place is quite and spacious.
Food is really great.
Booze is great.
Try Remi Martin Brandy.
Customer service is world class.
Ambiance is superb.
I recommend this place.
The hyped Bali Prawns are undoubtedly good but not a very healthy option - being deep-fried.
Found the Smoked Chicken with Garlic Sauce a revelation and an exceptional!
The ambience and service was, as is expected from Mayfair. Impeccable. Wonderful dining experience.
I absolutely gorge on the lamb dishes and the flat noodles they serve here. Excellent!
Whilst the food is delish, you can work on the staff. Not complaining, but asking for an increase in the number as I have seen and have experienced lag in services due to the same.
One more time.
One more time to celebrate.
One more time to rejoice.
The New Year Time. Absolutely Stunning.
Bali Prawns , The Best In Town.
Drums Of Heaven, Very Tasty.
Lip Smacking Pan Fried Noodles with Chilly Garlic Sauce. And Chicken Salt And Pepper. ❤❤❤
One of the best place to have food in bhubaneswar. Everything of this restaurant is perfect like ambience decor lighting n the food n service they provide are unbeatable. Little expensive though. Prawns are their signature dishes. On my last visit I had chicken manchow soup which had less salt in it n the quantity was very less that's the reason I have given 4.5.
In main course we had ordered pan fried noodles which was nice n devils prawn that was just amazing. Prawns were perfectly cooked.
- The Chinese tastes way better than the other restaurants at mayfair.
- A must try is roasted lamb in choice of your own sauce.
- Noodles are good in taste but can be improved
- Prawn are also good but do check with them before ordering as they are the best judge regarding the quality before you eat
The decor is exquisite. Food is also good but nothing outstanding about it. If you crave for some Oriental cuisine in Bhubaneshwar, Lemon Grass is worth a visit
One of the best Chinese Restaurant in Town. Food: Awesome 4.5 *
Desserts: Awesome 4*
Ambiance: 4 *
Service: Very Good, Courteous Staff 4.5*They listen and can customize food and drinks to your requirement.
Value for Money: 5*
Chinese Food Here is better than Mainland China and other Chinese Restaurant.
Authentic Chinese cuisine with a mix of luxury. As usually the ambience was really great and that has been the most positive point of Mayfair Lagoon.
In recent years, a few good Chinese restaurants have cropped up in Bhubaneswar and if Lemon Grass does not continue to innovate its dishes and food festivals, they might be losing the race. Their signature dish, Bali Prawns, continues to be my all time favourite. But I am a little disappointed to see that they have reduced the size of the crispy delicacy . Another delectable surprise in their heart warmers(non vegetarian) section is the Oriental crispy fish. The crispy soft fish tastes delicious when coupled with three flavour sauce and a hint of lemon grass. I also like their Taipei chicken. The heart warmers vegetarian section has decent dishes. The American sweet corn goes well with drinks. I wasn't impressed with their vegetable dimsum, which was bland. The Clay pot lamb stew is nice. The spicy crab fried rice definitely looks interesting but the flavour of the crabs is hardly noticeable in the dish. I go for the pan fried chicken/prawn noodles when I want to eat something light. I also like their chilly garlic noodles. I'm not a big fan of the dishes in the Oriental Greens section but the dishes under the Chicken section are good. You can always trust May Fair with service and ambience, and Lemon Grass definitely rules the Chinese food bandwagon in Bhubaneswar with its beautiful decor and delicious food.
Ambience: on scale of 1 to 10 i will give 8.8
Food : on scale of 1 to 10 i will give 9. The quality of food they serve raise standard bar.
Service: On scale of 10 i will give 10.
Price: Quite high but you will surely enjoy your meal. The taste and freshness of food is worth the amount you pay.
Personal experience: i ordered beer.. (they only serve kingfisher ultra.) And another drink named "Mayfair lagoon". Chicken Hong Kong. Fried rice and Manchurian and spring roll.
Just for a dare i went with my folks for a treat Nd it turned out to be a lavish place though it totally paid off every penny though it's service, ambience, quality and varieties...Must for special occasions and with special friends.
It was a life changing experience. Being a rich man, I had this habit of not checking the menu before ordering. But after i was finished with my lunch and the waiter handed me the bill, i had to do away with all my property to furnish that. Now, i am a lime water seller outside this restaurant. Thank you Lemon Grass for this chatpata lesson.
Good food and ambience. This place always amuses you with its hospitality and warm service. After a long tiring day a perfect place to have dinner. One of my favourite places in Bhubaneswar.
This review is dedicated to Mayuri, the wonderful hostess whose hospitality is admirable and praise worthy. If restaurants have a person like her then the world would be a better place.
The restaurant is one of the 7 restaurants in the mayfair resort. As the name suggests it is an Asian cuisine restaurant, as for ordering I surrendered myself to Mayuri's choice, she suggested fish in banana leaf, this was very well smoked and toasted. Although I didn't like the peanut sauce.
Main course was Hong Kong chicken in red sauce with egg fried rice. Chicken was well cooked and succulent.
A pretty good experience and a very good resort too.
Place is really classy.... Price is of course on the higher side but the food is worth the price... Service is obviously superb... Ambience is great... Really good place for trying a range of continental food...
Wonderful place for beautiful continental cusine.. ambience and service is really good..
Keep it up..really worth of visit..
Food quality and quantity is really good..
One word which comes to my mind when I think about this place is- Elite. The place serves really good Thai food. And is the first place which made me actually like Thai food (I generally prefer Mughlai and Indian). Yes, it's a tad bit expensive but the ambience and the service are totally worth the price.
lemongrass tries to offer you with a very high end fine dinning experience.with a very cordial and helpful staff along with a good ambiance ,it almost succeeds.the seafood here is a must try and is very well prepared though the chicken dishes are a bit of a letdown.
The ambience and hospitality is spot on. The food is well made and delicious. Crispy chilli chicken was different and nice so was the lamb and prawns. You will find good authentic chinese food over here.
Lemon Grass has everything you associate with fine dining - the service is earnest, the taste of the food is impeccable, the ambiance is refined; but what makes it a cut above the rest is it's flair for innovation
Food - 4.5/5
Ambience - 5/5
Service - 4.5/5
Lemon Grass has lovely interiors and delicious food. Service is quick. Perfect place for a family dinner.
We are regular customers...been for lot of time...amazing place with awesome ambience and great food...Mayfair is one of the premium resort in bbsr...Lemon grass is it's Chinese and Thai cuisine restaurant...overall ambience 9/10..service 9/10..taste 9/10...value for money 7/10.

I went to this place for dinner with my family.. The ambience is mind blowing. I just loved the place and their hospitality. We ordered Tom Yam soup, Phad Thai Noodles, Steamed rice & Crab cooked in thai red curry.. The tom yam soup was very refreshing it had a coconuty flavour with very soft prawns, the flavours were very distinct.. next the Phad thai noodles.. I had never had a noodles this good the peanuts added a very nutty and crunchy texture to the noodles... The veggies added were also crunchy neither over cooked nor under cooked... now finally the rice and the crab thai red curry.. We ordered rice as it blends with the flavours of the red curry... The c flavours flavours of the curry was very good the crab meat was soft and juicy inside... I loved all the dishes there... I would love to visit this place again... Highly recommended. :)

I went to this place second time with my friend and ordered oriental veg dimsum... the ambiance and the staff behaviour have just mind blowing... but the food was a bit disappointing than the last time... the dimsum were cooked properly tasted good but the sauce they the dimsum with was a complete bland... no taste atall.. the sauce is the key for better tasting dimsum... I hope you would please take care of it...@ Ananta Kr. Roy
Exquisite Chinese..authentic till the last bite ! Cozy ambience, amicable staff and quick service ..a perfect stop for that Mandarin craving..
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Bhubaneswar. Amazing food and impeccable service. Dimsums, soup, starters all are delicious. Great place to celebrate special occasions. Keeping up the Mayfair heritage since years !
Bang on service. Probably the best Chinese restaurant in Bhubaneshwar. High on the price side but even higher on taste and quality. We had sushi and veg food. It was amazing. Want to try non veg also. Mojito was just as how I wanted it to be.
On another visit, I tried the non veg variety as well. The restaurant didn't disappoint even then. The service was as usual 5-star, and the food was just amazing. Do try the Bali Prawns!
Top notch restaurant in the smart city. From ambience to food, from deco to staff, everything is top notch here. And you expect it when the restaurant is located in one of the premier hotels.👍
Been here for my birthday dinner. The ambience is just superb..with the soft lighting beautiful instrumentals playing and the lantern..Awesome. The staff are also very friendly and they know the menu very well.
Coming to the food we had burnt garlic soup which was perfectly balanced. For starters we had baby corn, salt and pepper prawn and a chicken dish. Baby corn was yummy but the prawns stole the show. So yummy and packed with flavours. Main course we had ordered routine stuff like noodles and fried rice but there was this crab dish suggested by our server. It was the star. They had minced the crab meat with loads of flavour and served it in the shell.
The rate is obviously on the expensive side but the experience is obviously worth it.
hello...
well its diffclt to rate ur food cs u guys hav such an awesm ambiance....
location is gud n dn many thngs to c in a 5 star..
still...ate dis june n i loved it...all nonveg items r gud..
JUST DAT I NEVER ATE ANY VEGETABLES IN A CHICKEN CLEAR SOUP....werever i choose dis frm da menu....it comes litrlly as da name says...."CHICKEN CLEAR SOUP"...
so i guess it wud taste much bettr if u guys give it da same way....just chicken clear....
3.5 for u guys :-) :-)
One of the most amazing places I've ever been... Talking about the ambience it's it well lit and well balanced.
The food overall is pretty decent although I did feel the soups a bit bland but it had good flavors to it. A must visit when you're in Orissa.
Tried the place on my second night at Mayfair, after having read a lot about it on Zomato. Tried the BALINESE PRAWNS, which, in all honesty, feels like a KFC styled prawn served on two sticks which makes it rather tricky to eat. The flavours couldn't be felt as the dish was deep fried in oil and was rather sweet. A portion has 6 of these prawns, which may look less but is pretty heavy and filling. The VIETNAMESE GRILLED CHICKEN had very strong flavours and was really good, a must try in my humble opinion. Also tried the LEMON CORIANDER SOUP, AMERICAN FRIED CORN and VEG DIMSUMS and they didn't disappoint either. A special mention about the hospitable staff.
Not very often one get to dine in a 4 star restaurant but if you haven't then it is time for you to visit this place. With marvelous ambience of Mayfair you will feel royal while entering Lemon grass. Food is A class, period. Their signature dish Bali prawn is yummy. Also I would recommend Taipei chicken which is delicious. If you haven't tried Darssan with Ice cream anywhere, make sure you order that in dessert. Must try place if you want a wonderful experience.
P. S. They have sushi (It's Japanese 🏯 FYI) 😁
Definitely one of its kind noodles in Bhubaneswar but dear vegetarians, options are very less and such prices for these limited options is a NO.
