If you are a real connoisseur of great food, this is the place in Bhubaneswar to dine-in blind folded. Assuring you will get the 3Dimensional taste bud experience for sure. Unarguably the best contemporary kitchen experience in Odisha. Do Visit & experience Chef Micheal’s passionate food journey! Thanks Micheal for everything.
If you ever happen to be in Bhubaneswar and craving some authentic continental delicacy. This is your place. The music, the ambiance, the food.... Especially the food is great. Even if you aren't a fan of thai or continental this restaurant will still be a great experience. Highly recommended! 👍
The food is well prepared and has defined flavour .... very happy with service
One of very few restaurants in Bhubaneswar who serve truly unique continental food and Indian items with their unique speciality.
I have been to this Restaurant before COVID and amazed with the food they served. I have also ordered 4 times during COVID period and amazed to find that they are so consistent with the quality of their food when volume of sale is less and random. There are hundreds of good restaurants in my city but this is one among very few who have their own special touch for each item you order and same is there when they are only delivering which must be very less as compared to the number of customers they used to serve on normal days. I am also surprised to find this restaurant having such a low rating in online delivery platforms.
Best dishes I tried & loved & recommend to try here are -
1.Mutton Kassa Ghee Arna Ghee Papad Churi, Poda Tomato Raita.
2.Chenna Poda Cheesecake, Black Jamun Reduction
3. Poda Chingudi Chehha chat in papad cone.
4. Khil-e-Pan
The ambience is nice. Their experimentation with food is something unique. Their menu is diverse & the ambience is extremely peaceful.
They serve floral teas as well. Visit their restaurant to try something unique & new.
I went for a family lunch (p.s when everything was normal)
1. Whooping heun-duen soup
2. Subz jalfrezi
3.Chicken latpat
4.Tandoori Roti
5.Japanese Steam custard
No doubt the taste of food was very good, the ambience was good. The main problem was their slow service which actually irritates you. Apart from this I liked everything
Always serve the best quality of food with delicious taste 😋
We tried chatu kebabs, chicken poda with china badam sauce , dhenkanaal bara burger , jackfruit biriyani. Every dish was unique and had a different taste.
Had this Matka chicken Biryani from @michaelskitchen_bbs a while ago. And yes its one of the good ones in town. ✨
Price: 320/-
Rating: 4/5
👉What we loved: good portion size and it actually comes in a Handi 🥺🥳with amazing packaging. Well marinated chicken pieces with long grain rice. The best part about this Biryani was that it didn't have that strange artificial aroma. So 💯 for that.
👉 Disliked: huge chunks of ginger arrrrgghhh (even elaichi is manageable yaar par ginger NO NO! ) ✨

Odia progressive festival is going on! If you haven't visited yet..then do it asap..don't Miss The Chance.... coz it's worth it.
Odia food has always reflected Odisha and its culture. But yet , it's an untouched cuisine for many of the people in and around Odisha . So our favorite @chef.michael.3 has come up with the event to showcase Odia cuisine in contemporary style.
MICHAEL'S KITCHEN presents PROGRESSIVE ODIA FOOD FESTIVAL which will run from 22nd January 2020 - 5th February 2020.
we were surprised to taste few of the dishes from the menu. Dalma chop, chocolate dahibara aloodum, Dhenkanal bara burger, gupchup with badichura fillings & dahitorani ,panasa Biriyani, hibiscus tea and many more. But these are only tip of the iceberg.
Do visit MICHAEL'S KITCHEN from 22nd January 2020 - 5th February 2020 and taste the real Odia cuisine . Believe us, you will be surprised.
.
Beautiful presentation of the preparations, Soothing Ambiance, Delicious food with variety, Sinful Desserts, Helpful staff, Michael - Exceptionally Talented Chef. Chhena Poda cheese cake, Mutton with Chakuli Taco, Badichuda Gupchup, Malai Prawn, Patrapada Chicken these were Super delicious.... Must try for everyone in Bhubaneswar!!
Progressive odia food festival.. can it sound anymore interesting?! Dishes you have never heard of. Burst of flavours and combinations one can never dream of. It's hard to resist the temptation of trying them all. Hibiscus tea is thoroughly refreshing.. mushroom fritters. Sapuri Kanika good too. Most importantly hats off to the idea of re inventing our age old odia cuisine. Full marks for the innovation and concept. The presentation fills your tummy before anything else.. kudos to the team. Well done. Proud to be odia
Personally found it a little expensive. The chef definitely knows what he is doing. We went in there and asked the waitress to bring us anything that she recommends. The starters were absolutely delicious. Must try the harissa chicken. Mint jatar prawn comes in as second best. For the main course, she suggested lamb tangine, which came as a pack of assorted vegetables+ soft lamb pieces + yellow rice + indian bread. Not what we had the taste for, but it was authentic in it's own way. The desserts plummeted below expectation. Don't go for Pistachio pudding and chocolate chenna poda.
Will update this space with subsequent visits.
1. I absolutely loved the staff. 5/5 for that. They catered to our request even though they have invited all the food bloggers for the launch of their new menu (middle eastern food, if i am not wrong).
2. Non veg food was a delight as told, starting from kebabs to the main course everything was delicious. 5/5 for that as well.
3. Now since the kebabs and all were delivered first, i had very high expectations for Veg Manchurian and some sort of cheese balls. Both were below average, infact their manchurian (with a chef special twist) was very bad. I hated the manchurian.
Dal makhni was pretty good. Kulchas and naan were good too. 2/5 for Vegetarian delicacies.
They can definitely improve their vegetarian food, this is not my first time visiting the restaurant but earlier also Vegetarian food was bad.
Overall a very underrated restaurant in Bhubaneswar, won't say reasonably priced but yeah prices were just fine.
Definitely worth a visit.
Hidden gem for non-vegetarian as told by my companions.
It's among the most underrated restaurants in bhubaneswar. Few people actually know about this. Even it's location is easy to find people think that might be one of those high end restaurants where food is not taken seriously. But let me tell you i have been to this restaurant several times these people are impeccable in whatever they do. Starting from the simple yet classy ambience to the service. Critics won't be able to find a single mistake in anything. I will say whatever you are doing chef keep on doing. Your love for food is absolutely visible in your dishes, in your presentation. Love ya
The Chef and owner's personal touch was notable. His recommendations were very good. Our first visit was enjoyable and we loved the flavours!

Went with friend of mine for lunch there. With nice interiors and good lighting, the staff were really polite and welcoming.
We started with CRAPE A-lla ITALIANO had a savory crape with a creamy inside filled with cheese and chicken breast that totally melts in the mouth, so I would say its a must try. So I would say 4.5/5 for this dish.
We also ordered LEMON THYME CHICKEN which was really juicy and tender, but I didn't get the taste of lemon which was sightly disappointing. So a 2.5/5 for this dish
SPICY ONION CORIANDER FRIED RICE, had a distinct taste of onion and coriander which was really nice. So a 3.5 for this dish
And then we went for GOOEY DARK CHOCOLATE MUD CAKE, which had a moist and crumbly texture. This dish was a little too overpowering in taste, I would say this dish needs some improvement (but that's totally my view) so I would give a 2.5 for this dish.

This is a gem hidden in the city. Not many people know about this family-owned restaurant, but this place serves the best global cuisines I have had so far in Bhubaneswar. Be it their Italian or Chinese or North Indian, every dish impressed us. The drinks were also nice. Pocket pinch is very reasonable.
We ordered Mushroom Cappuccino (it was served in a cool looking cup mimicking an actual Cappuccino but alas there was no froth), Bullet Naan (not recommended for those who don't like munching on spices because it has spices on top of the naan but otherwise good) and spicy Thai Red Curry (the veg version with lots of vegetables and ample quantity for 4 people). The staff were courteous and the decor was soothing. Me and my friend had a good time but it was after we paid we faced an issue. It was my friend's treat, she paid with card which unfortunately got swiped twice. These things happen but this casual and careless behaviour wasn't expected. It's been over a week and my friend contacted them many times. They failed to resolve the issue and she ultimately had to lodge a complaint online. Swetashree Purohit
A nice restaurant having all the items u needed from continental to Indian to Chinese and almost everything. The taste of the dishes are amazing and the staff is polite too.
We have been ordering from this restaurant during our stay in Bhubaneswar. Most of the times food was really good.
However, once we received an item which was probably stale and inedible. Upon complaining to the restaurant, not only they sent complementary replacement but also their signature dish. That too close to 11 pm in the night. They were extremely apologetic about the whole incident and made genuine efforts to resolve the unpleasant experience. From the whole episode, it was clear that they take customer service seriously, which is rarity now a days. I will definitely visit them soon.
One of the finest seafood restaurants in town. Love the ambience. They provide prompt service and the food tastes really amazing.
The food was real good.
Although we ordered for a hunnan shredded chicken and triple schezwan fried rice. It was yummy and month watering.
Visited this place with my better half for a quick dinner- she didn't want to have heavy foods so ordered light dishes -
1. Prawns in butter garlic sauce:
2. Kung Pao Chilly Chicken:
3. Chicken noodles
4. Veg Manchow soup
Food was good and authentic would love to visit again and try their special seafood items.
Odia cuisine ,a cuisine full of wonders and art which is still undiscovered by the whole nation and the world . Today , @chef Michael showed us how our everyday Odia cuisine can be represented in a progressive way while keeping intact the indigenous Odia culinary essence .
.
We attended MK foodies meet up themed as "PROGRESSIVE ODIA CUISINE " . Before starting off our food session ,Chef Michael elaborated the beauty of our cuisine and explained each and every dish . It felt tasty in his words, but in reality , they are tastier .

• Chilika Fisherman Stew, Sweet Paprika Khai (Seafood kanji pani)
• Savoury Egg Kakara, Pumpkin Sakara
• Badi Chura Crumbed Fried Fish, Ambula Rai Mayo

such a wonderful experience at nickel's with other guests . Time spent well. We would request Mk to keep on organising such events and hopefully these dishes will be part of their regular menu one day .
thank you @chef Michael
After watching a lot of western movies I had an irresistible urge to try their kind of food. I really love the way they customize their meal e.g. Mashed potato with green peas but don’t include chopped beans and add shredded cheese on top of it. My mouth starts watering when I hear this kind of customization one can do only by using mashed potato as its base. One of my elder brother Dr. Anindya Brahma took me to this restaurant. (Please do refer to the pictures while reading.)
Food: We started our dinner with Wopping Huan Duan soup as suggested by my brother. It contained broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms and a circled sheet of wheat flour at the bottom of it (tasted like momo wrap). As I was going deeper in to the soup I found out that the cauliflower size was not good for putting into a soup. If the size was even a little bit small then it will be difficult for me to find out a flaw. Better have it warm.
Moving on to the main courses we had Bengali Crepe. Shredded chicken breast cooked in Kasundi (Bengali Mustard sauce) wrapped in whole wheat crepe. Topped with cheese and served along with mustard mayonnaise, French fries, and leaf salad soaked in lemon juice. The wrap was so thin that it would not even holding the chicken properly when I was transferring half of it to the other plate. The chicken pieces are minced so well that there were not much of work left to do once I put it in my mouth. I don’t know how they get the idea to serve that particular salad but it totally compliments the dish itself. Generally when people eat something like chicken and especially a delicious preparation like this, they don’t even notice the greenery on the side. But, I will say confidently that the salad is an inseparable part of that dish which gives your tongue a spark and let you enjoy the shredded chicken better.
Grilled fish with Butter Wine sauce. It comes under sea food category I guess, because it felt like a sea fish. The fish was grilled and topped with chopped and marinated garlic with butter and yes wine sauce. The dish was served along with veggies like cauliflower Broccoli beans and mashed potato on the side of it. While writing about it, I can still totally recall the taste now in my taste buds. You can feel the tenderness of the fish when using the fork. It will fall apart like layers from your fork and yes it will melt in your mouth. With a touch of garlicky flavor and that tenderness I will suggest you to give the bite some amount of residence time in your mouth to take out all of its magic.
The last item had a very funny name which I can’t get out of my head still is Pollo Vino Blanco. It has a harmony in its name as in its taste. Harmony in the music means when the drums, the guitar, the keyboard and the vocalist complement each other so well that we lose our self in the music. Here, the tanginess, tenderness of the grilled chicken piece, and the coating of white wine sauce with a little bit of marinated garlic on it may not allow you to talk to the person sitting right in front of you. It also comes with mashed potato topped with coriander leaves and veggies on the side like broccoli, zucchini, and half-moon looking like pieces of fried potato with spices.
‘Roasted lamb Provencale’ means roasted lamb cooked in a sauce made with tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil. The dish is mainly spaghetti served with ragu (a sauce made out of minced meat, onions, tomato puree, and red wine). Who are not familiar with spaghetti will face a little difficulty like me because it is not at all soft like the homemade noodles. Which I guess is the perfect state a spaghetti must be in. The roasted lambs on top of the pasta is really tender and completely covered in ragu. While your teeth will be grinding the pieces of meat, your mouth will be filled with the fulfilling taste of the lamb. They have served the dish with some kind of flavoured water inside a hollow tomato and circular fried potatoes. I really beg your pardon that I don’t know the exact term of it or what is it made of. Please do tell me if you have any information about it. The taste of tit was kind of sour and tremendously sweet. It will leave a tingling sensation in your tongue at its first touch. But, honestly I did not like the combination of these two because they were not complimenting each other’s taste that much. But as you know tastes vary from person to person.
Dessert: White chocolate mud cake, consists of my or any other sweet lover’s two favourite words, Chocolate and cake. According to me it is made out from a mixture of condensed milk and chocolate. If you are not that much of a sweet tooth then don’t try to finish it alone it will numb your tongue with its super sweet flavour. It demands to be eaten slowly and as you know happiness doubles if you share it with someone.
Service: Well, in this case i have to say that the service is too slow. The time difference between taking order and receiving the food on our table was almost half an hour. But, it will not be good if I blame them because, this kind of order they dont get much and they really need the time to prepare it as I feel. So, yeah service is slow.. but when the food will arrive it’s worth the wait.
Ambience: The ambience was perfect for having a quiet dinner with your special person or just have a chat in low voice while your fork and your table knife is quarrelling with the plate producing sweet tingling sounds. As per my observation the ambience with comfortable chairs and dimmed yellow light and blue decorations, a light and joyful mood is best suited.
Overall: To all the foodies. If you want to give a change to your taste or if the food lovers want to have a sudden release of dopamine in their brain you must try this restaurant at least once. A little piece of advice. Don’t go for the most common items you can get anywhere like fried rice, biriyani etc if you have a tight budget or your stomach doesn’t allow you to eat a lot. Please do share your experiences with me too.
A best place to have food in bhubaneswar, I ordered subz matka biriyani 2 times from here and completely satisfied with the taste quality and quantity as well.
Such awesome staff and such awesome food.. smoked fish was the best ever....had a great time with friends.
I will surely visit again.Keep it up guys😍😍
Want to go somewhere for lunch with family on a Sunday?
Look no further.. Michael's kitchen is just the right choice in Bhubaneswar.
The menu has a lot of different choices from continental to indian with a special menu for the day, which gives you enough to choose from
Its a small and Cozy place and we actually had to wait for sometime to get to our seats (I'm hearing though they are going to be increasing the sitting arrangements) but the service is good.
Its budget friendly, no question on that and the food is delicious too
We ordered the following
1)Smoke Fish Thai Style - This was too good, just the right amount of everything,we were surprised how soon we finished eating it
2)Crepe Diabolo - Imagine spaghetti meatballs, now replace spaghetti with crepe.. liked it though
3)Spaghetti Al Carbonara - It was creamy, filled with bacon, just great. If you want something light and good, order this
4)Pollo Alla Mandorle - The chicken seemed a bit a raw on some parts, other than that no complaints
5)Bee hive Drop Waffle - Waffles weren't crunchy enough, they became bread by the time it was delivered on the table. But nothing can beat whipped cream, honey waffles 😍
My rating - 4.1/5
Visit the place and you won't regret it
A good place to hangout, staffs are well n good, The biriyani there was also tasty bt the chicken pieces were not upto the mark,, i felt dessert is lil costly.. Chicken butter masala was quiete tasty😋
A little too expensive, I would say, but the quality, taste & hygiene of the food they make here is par excellence. This is a place you can visit occassionally, but you can't order regularly because of the prices.
Food is excellent but only problem is late service. If you have time and want good food it's just a good pocket friendly place. Continental and tandoori items are very tasty
Ambience is good...! Starters are really very good, albeit a bit costly... perfectly for a group dinner... friendly staff but you may have to wait a bit to have the food!
Very nice place. Good ambience. I have been there many times. The waiters help you pick the best items. Michael is an amazing chef. You must try the Kebabs there. Beacon dishes are amazing too.
Went with two of my friends for lunch there. Nice interior and good lighting.
In starter we ordered a Thai fish dish which was absolutely amazing.
Our main course consisted spaghetti Al carbonara made with cream, bacon and meat balls. Tasted awesome. The second dish was crepe diabolo kind of the spaghetti gravy but with crepe and the other item we went for was polo alo mandorle which was actually good.
And we went for honey waffle with whipped cream which was an absolutely sweet ending for our eating streak.
Awesome mouthwatering delicacies being served, exquisite flavours, far different from regular curries, a place to visit for sure without fail, for families, friends, and couples
My all time favorite restaurant for sea foods 😍
Best place for sea foods.. One of my fav restro in town.. Ambience n interior is cool 😎 highly recommended place no doubt about it..❤
Good food specially chicken Presentation and preparation, fresh food, nice place, most refreshing place I have ever visit go everyone and enjoy
On a friend's recommendation I visited this place along with my family. Food is so satisfying and delicious. Specially the chicken Labrador. And ambience is quite good. Will soon visit again.
My FAVORITE in the town.
Hands down best food served is here. The chef's experiments always turn out to be amazing! Go there and leave the fate to the chef. From welcome drinks to dessert this man is a genius!
My favorite BBQ Ribs, Baked Crab and Charcoal Chicken.
I quite like this place. Have tried a few from the continental and chinese menus.
Among the starters I'll recommended Tandoori stuffed mushroom!! It's just beautiful-melt in the mouth and punched with flavours and taste.
I'm yet to try the Indian dishes and desserts here.
Also, a must mention is the polite staff behaviour and the Chef always catering to needs of the diners. Very appreciable indeed.
I am in just love with the food over here. The perfect ambiance and the person touch by the Chef itself is the difference you will find. When I came to know that Chef Michael is doing a MK foodies meet up on Contemporary Odia Cuisine I was so excited. The way he explained the detail menu of veg category and non veg category. There were VIII course of meal in both the categories starting from soup till desert. Food was just outstanding.
You when get amazing food ..you fall in love with the restaurant but when the chef himself gives you every single description of his signature dishes and is so friendly with every single person out here ..u know that the place is awesome
And so is my feeling for this restaurant, I dont want to judge this place based on ambience or anything but
The most important thing I loved was food.
We had so many different various food stuffs..
Definitely visit and experience the amazing food out here 😊
The good is absolutely delicious... Chef Michael definitely ensures you leave his kingdom with satisfied palette and files tummy! Try his signatures, you will be awestruck!
Best restaurant 👌👌👌😍😍😍🤪🤪🤪all foods were just awesome and soo yummy... Super delicious and mind blowing.... U should go to Michel's... U will definitely love it wirhout any doubt.... All credit goes to chef Michel...according to me... He is the best chef...
Lovely ambience. Food quality is beyond extraordinary. Service is great too. A wide range of national and international cuisine. Open till late night. Drinks are okayish. Main course, Chinese and non vegetarian dishes are apparently very good. The Ramen they serve is one of the best in Bhubaneswar. A bit too pricey, but justified.
The place is small and cozy. The lights were overhead and not that strong, just apt to enjoy yr food. The dinner is served from 7 PM onwards. We ordered Chicken Biriyani and Pan Fried Noodles. Both were good. I will personally give the biriyani 7/10 but giving them a 5/5 for their service and also they let us in by 6:30 PM to sit and gossip while waiting for the serving hour. It was a good experience. Also the menu is quite interesting. U would have to visit multiple times to explore the whole menu.
One of the best places to have authentic Asian Cuisine.
If you were always curious about Ramen bowls, this is your place.
The Ambience is amazing, calm. For slow dinners or lunch.
Taste of the food is amazing, the chef puts his heart to the food. Literally 5/5
MUST TRY :
Malaysian Laksha
A good restaurant with compact area and many continental options , #99 offer is the best thing about the restaurant 👍 otherwise they have menu with high price items , you can try . I tried there Ghee arna chicken kasa (3/5) , Dhaba style noodles with kung pao chilly chicken (4/5) , chicken orientel bowl (5/5) highly recommended 👍 , lastly caramel custard (4/5) good taste . Service was bit slow , they can improve , do try there
They have good Chicken dum biryani .
Nice proportions of chicken as well.
Now, I'll be brutally honest for this one. The other items are not worth the price. 🥲
I know it's popular because of the high end chef and sure enough they have various cuisine menus but the food is just average...
Love the food, and the nature of Chef. Enjoyed Food items at just Rs.99 like Chicken Biryani, Ghee Aarna Chicken Kassa, Dhaba Style Noodles with chilli chicken, etc. Taste is just amazing and quantity is sufficient for 1. The ambiance is also very good.
My all time favourite restaurant!!
They have very special menu and special dishes especially their chicken cafreal, lamb provencale, mutton ghee arna, nasi Goreng, chicken satay, eggs Benedict, etc etc etc...the nenu goes onnn!!
Taste :- Food was awesome, especially Crab Soup was ultimate, remaining items were also good.
But the Service was tooo bad
They are having 12 tables but only 2 waiters
They only take order, serve and make mocktails.
It needs to be fixed.
Budget:- Bit Expensive (₹400-₹500 PP)
Ambience:- Very Well mantained and I personally felt GOA vibes.
The taste is quite exceptional. Don't think you get this anywhere else in Bhubaneswar. The service can be slow sometimes if it's crowded. Would recommend any starter of prawn.
Everything on the menu is just too good. I had water chestnuts in oriental sauce, Ramen, baked crab, Japanese cheese cake. Innovative dishes and taste. Flavors are out of the world. Big fan of the old menu but the new menu is amazing. Still miss the crepes, veg tandoori platter. And the best reason to come back- really affordable
The Best Restaurant in Town ! I must say !
Budget friendly and as well as absolutely droolworthy dishes
Good flavourful food of this place will win your ❤
Very Good Place To Have Lunch With Friends, Family or Loved Ones 😍
An unique restaurant in Bhubaneswar that serves truly world cuisine. Curated menu with fusion dishes will keep one wondering... Food taste far better than they look in the pics :-) Only suggestion, if they can maintain sauce/spice level little low so as one feels lighter after a meal. Vietnamese roll has scope of vast improvement...
Fantastic continental restaurant
One of Bhubaneswar's top continental restaurants by a wide margin. The atmosphere is excellent, and the staff are excellent. Love their spaghetti and crepes.
This might sound over the top, but my favourite restaurant in Bhubaneswar is this one.
Certain people may have complaints about the site, some for the space and others for the service.
But food will come out on top. The proprietor, Chef Michael, is one of the friendliest people you will meet and has wonderful hospitality. His extensive meal selection is likewise fantastic.
Do not be afraid to ask the chef to prepare any specific cuisine or dish you may have in mind. He might grant your wish. in mind as well. 😂
