A place high on demand in the lunch hours . Family dine in space and cooperative staff . We ordered biryani , Afghani chicken masala with masala kulcha . It was a wholesome meal . The biryani is sufficient for one . They just need to improve on the pricing which I feel is high for the quantity they serve
I just tried chicken biriyani naan chicken masala n chicken lolipop there.. Everything was too good and the lolipop was too good I just loved it.it is a good family resturent..

Food is awesome in taste... Though a bit high price but the dishes worth it. Will visit more n more to dine. Love this place. The dim light is adding more charm to dinner.
Awesome place.the food was excellent..especially the chilli chicken...good service...tasty food...had a great experience
Must try the Butter naan ,garlic prawn and chicken tikki masala
Great food !!! Fine Dine. Best for families. One of the must eat food outlets in Bhubaneswar. You will love their food and hospitality. Loved it.....
I personally recommend this place.. because of its good food.... service..it's a good family restaurant..do.. visit as it's my personal favourite
Good place to dine in. Crispy babycorn tasted good. Paneer tikka was awesome. Egg chicken noodles and veg Manchurian was also good enough. Overall a nice food experience. π
Masala papad ,kulcha, American corn and paneer butter masala are must try dishes, food taste is very good , service can be improved also it is not very spacious
4 star for their food and 3 star for their customer service as it was pretty bad in my opinion, I had booked a table for 6 and they said it will be available in 10 15 mins and when I came they said it will be 30 mins more.
We waited and at last we got our table and their price was Price of food was very good, the one thing I loved was their Naan. It was hell aromatic and such soft it was just melting in my mouth, their is not much item available on fish so know it ahead. All in all if you have time to wait then it's worth the money.
Ps - we visited on a Sunday so it was pretty crowded.

One of the most oldest and the popular restaurant in the city, my all time favourite order
*Jeera Rice
*Chicken Butter Masala
*Pineapple Raita
The most amazing thing is that the taste is the same since I have been to this place till now.
The tandoori items are best here. A bit pricey other than that mentioned in the zomato menu. If you are a chicken eater, then this place is definitely for you.
I have visited along with my friends.. it was a cozy place but on high demand... The interior is really good... We had Tandoori Chicken, Chicken lolipop, Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Nan, Chicken Fried rice, Garlic chicken & Chicken biriyani... Tandoori Chicken & lolipop was too good. The most amazing thing was u will get the original white coloured gravy of garlic chicken which we usually don't get. Chinese foods were great but biriyani could be a bit better... Otherwise it is a nice place to hang out & taste Indian and Chinese both. We liked it... & After finishing all the things we were full stomach π
Visited with my uncle, his friend & cousin. Ambience, food & service were good. Seats can be more comfortable. Waiting time for seat vacancy can be taken care of in a better way.
Visited this place on recent sunday.Firstly the crowd there describes the place.Dont know exactly may be its the sunday that grabbed the crowd but what soever.
Now coming to the ambiance and food.Food was pretty good.I personall had some chicken stuffs and mutton.Food was quiet good and tasty.
But service was very slow and thats may be due to the crowd too.Do visit the place and let everyone know ur experience too.

Ordered the Crispy American corn, Special veg fried rice, raita and mix veg. Coming to the various aspects of the joint :

Nothing special. Food tastes average. Don't go with the Royal Name. Staffs are not very professional. Though they have more space but the furnitures arrangement is not good. Overall view- Average
A very old restaurant of the city which has struggled to keep up pace with the growing competition in the city. Have been going to this place since childhood. Recently, I was invited here for dinner by an alumnus from college. The very rustic and homely atmosphere which I remember from my childhood is still there. Indian curry preparations here better than the Chinese preparations. Chicken Korma and Paneer Butter Masala are the dishes you must try.
An old choice for a simple meal. I have been here with both friends and family. This place usually crowded because of its ideal location. They have a small waiting lounge outside their ac dining space. The food is good, nothing out of the box. Veg biryani and crispy corn tasted pretty good. The prices are decent.
Ordered Kashmir pulao and kofta. taste was awesome.pulao quantity enough for 2 people.but kofta u ll b be given two piece kofta which may not enough for two.u can add one extra curry and one or two naan to completely fill up.
Place is bit noisy .forgot to add masala papad. I could find only onion and tomato without any vegetables.
The place is one of the oldest restaurant in the town . Taste is ohkay, don't expect much from ambaince. Here. The prces us nominal. And can have a 3 course meal for 400+ . Been here a lot of times. They have never disappointed . Not they have given a surprise . In the taste. .
Been there on the list way too long to check. On a Saturday late afternoon, almost all of their 40 tables were occupied. We started with Masala papad, and wished that it had some Masala too along with the freshly chopped veggies. The vegetarians ordered mixed veg and butter naan. The non-vegetarian had a chicken biryani which he liked. The Masala thums up we ordered took an eternity to arrive. I was disappointed that the mixed raita I ordered was the same raita that comes with the biryani π but the food was good. Their indian is probably better than their chinese.
The Good:
Good Prices
Good Ambiance
Okay Taste
The Bad:
Slightly long wait time
Okay, this place is Okay. Not that good also not that bad, If you are in the area try it once.
PS - Just take a look at the special deserts menu when you are here.

Went quite long back. Had soup and chowmin as it was a veg day for me. Taste wise food was below average but it was neatly decorated restaurant and hVing good service time for serving ordered foods. Staff were very friendly dt thing i liked it here very much. :)
This is one of my favorite restaurants where I have been going since my childhood. Even the people there know me and my parents. Anyway coming to review, One thing I am always a fan of is their dish Chilly mushroom, its amazing , flavorful, and you would crave for more. I also like paneer bhurji, garlic chicken, garlic prawns and mushroom manchurian at this place. However I dont like their fried rice, sometimes they dont even use basmati rice, just simple rice, and no flavor at all. Their soups are disasters, chicken biriyani is ok ok type, so is veg biriyani. Try their prawns and mushroom dishes
The food was extremely good. Price was reasonable. Quality and quantity of food was excellent. Hospitality was good. A good place to go with family as well as friends.
A restaurant with decent taste and value for money food. The location is good. Ambiance is average and service is okay. You can try it on a family outing.
Good service and good food........................................................ . .. ................... ..
Celebrated one of my college buddy's birthday. On of the best place to have some classic good food along with celebrating different important life events. Loved the experience just need to increase the service speed.
I used to go there as a child , to have my favorite Garlic Chicken ! Coz no one else did it as good as Daawat. It's craze has reduced to some extent. But good to see that it has been able to sustain for this long. Kudos !
This place has stood the test of time and doesn't really need any introduction. One of the best bang for your buck eating out options in the city. The Chinese dishes here are to die for and the ambience is also spot on for the money you spend. Attention to detail is derived from the owners vast experience and a certain prior experience with JW Marriott, Bengaluru. I swear by it and would keep coming on and on and on....
A good restaurant situated at janpath! A very crowded place!! Every time i have been there, i had wait for a minimum of 5-10 mins to get a table. The food quality is good. :) A decent and good place overall !!!
Dawat is located near Panda Lifestyle in Janpath. We ordered chicken biryani, masala kulcha and chicken tikka butter masala. Believe me guys dawat serves best masala kulcha in the town. Ambiance was good and staffs were nice. But it is little bit expensive.
The Restaurant has great as per the experience my wife, Even i do enjoy the meal and they cooked ,the way we are looking for. I enjoyed as i never stay in my mother land. My little daughter also manage to eat the food as well while i was worried for it. My suggestion to Management to re furnish the menu as it didn't planned well with name.
I had previously given them a bad review. Recently I took a chance . As a vegetarian I never preferred Dawat but I think they have improved. They have escalated the standard of food. The veg Dum biryani , the paneer butter masala and naan are my staple takeaway orders. They are super fast at delivering. I totally love the food. No second thought about it.
Go there on a Sunday, and chances are you will have to wait for quite sometime before you get a table. Good food. If only you could book your tables.
Good place to come with friends and family. American corn starters are really yummy. And for the main course, then every item ordered was delicious. Pocket friendly and quality food is served here. Quantity also satisfies the price and the customers. Must go to this place.
One of the oldest and the best resturant in bhubaneswar. Though it takes time to serve, but it's worth waiting. The food quality is excellent. The ambience, services and the location are extra toppings to the sweetness of this resturant! A must try resturant once in bhubaneswar!!
This has been one of the oldest restaurants in Bhubaneswar! We have a lot of memories here. After so many years I still feel, daawat stands up to its standards! Mixed fried rice, chilly chicken, garlic prawn, chilly paneer and mixed chowmien be our all time favorites! I would recommend people to give it a try!
I had lunch with my friends on an occasion an that was just amazing. We comprised of a vegetarian and four non vegetarians. We had many things and the chicken hongkong and paneer manpasanda were espicially good. The service was a bit slow and the staff was cocky but the overall experience was really good. And about the price we had our hearts full eating at a very less cost.
Pretty normal ambiance with good food. Service was kinda delayed for us but overall food was affordable and good so definitely recommend for mid range quick lunch.
Wholesome and delicious food
Well cooked
Well served.
Perfectly pocket friendly
Good place to eat. Those who don't want crowded place,go there and have your meal happily π.

Excellent service
Best place for lunch and dinner.
Amazing taste
Mind blowing hospitality
Excellent behaviour
Pocket friendly
Food was excellent especially chilli mushrooms, garlic Naan and vegetables pulao and Navratan korma but paneer bhurji tasted mostly of cloves and excessive Garam masala, the earlier flavor is lost in bhurji, rest all were good.
A good restaurant to have Lunch and Dinner.
Cosy and quiet a good ambience.
Very affordable. Costs around Rs.1000 for 4 people.
Food quantity is sufficient.
Food taste and quality is good too.
The waiters are very good at their work.
The man who takes the order is not good.
The plates and glasses are made of plastic.
For that I took away one star else I would have given 5 stars to this place.
Nice Ambience, Spacious sitting capacity, great food, specially the chicken tikka butter masala.
Enjoyed lunch with family...tasty food...good service...just add more options for soup..ππ
A very good quality restaurant on main road with nice ambience.
It has wide range of menu both veg & nonveg.
The service is prompt.
The taste of food are really delicious.
The sitting arrangement are good.
It's a nice comfy lace, space is a bit issue here but no doubt that the the food for 2 here will give you a pocket pinch (500 - 800) depending on what you order..
staff here maintain a good behaviour with the customer
Food was good and tasty, less waiting time & pocket Friendly. Must visit!
Extremely happy with the quality of food and hygienity maintained inside the restaurant.
If you are looking for North Indian food you must visit to this place.
I have tried Paneer masala, tandoori roti (zero maida mix), mix veg raita , masala papad and veg munchow soup.
Portion size is precisely maintained, pocket freindly compare to other north indian food joints like Narula.
Its located amid to Reliance trend and Khimji jwellers.
A family restaurant, first visit today. And first experience was awsm. The dishes wot we have ate and service was awsm. Little bit disappointed for its Ac coz some Acs were not working and interior light and not much availability of dessert items.
But the food and service was markable.
