Came here by chance and loved every minute of it. The food was out of this world and the owner of the restaurant was very friendly. The ambience, hospitality and food is definitely worth a try if you’re around Bogmalo.. great job!!
Ambiance: This place is close to the bogmalo beach. It doesn't have any beach view though. It's a small place with limited seating. Simple decor and good ambiance.
Food:
- Pinacolada: Very refreshing. Must try.
- Kunthal fry: Squids in Kerala style pepper based masala. Squids were cooked well. Recommended.
- Cozy chettinad: Chicken in spicy chettinad masala. Must try this one if you like spicy food.
- Appam: Good and soft. Recommended.
- Chicken stew: Coconut milk based chicken gravy. It was amazing. Try bread/poi to accompany it. We ordered it with Appam but combination didn't work out.
- Chicken masala: Spicy and tangy flavoured Kerala styled chicken gravy. Must try.
- Malabar parathas: These are must try for main course. Perfectly accompanied Chicken masala gravy.
Apart from Kerala style cuisine, they serve American dishes too.
Cost: Most item are in range of 200 to 350 bucks.
Service: Quick service. Staff was less and bit inattentive.

Great Malayalee food, enthusiastic service and breezy ambience! I loved the undercut beef fry, the king fish curry and the anchovy rava fry.
Amazing food, great drinks and a super friendly and helpful owner! Everyone must try the chettinad chicken and lava cake! The place has good food a great ambience! What more do you need?

You must've heard of Swing, right? A popular restaurant located in Miramar. But guess what? It's time to ditch the city and head over to Swing By the Bay! Just a few minutes away from the airport and Bogmalo beach this restaurant is every traveller's dream come true. Swing has taken the top spot on my list of best Goan Malabar Cuisine restaurants. The ambience of the place isn't very glamorous but oozes with simplicity and modesty. I didn't miss the opportunity to have one of my favourite cocktail; the Cucumber Collins. The owner and host Mohit can be described as a passionate, knowledgeable and a very down to earth person. He explained every dish in detail and I couldn't help but see it through the food. This is one of the rare occasions where I have found every dish having a unique taste of it's own and my favourites being the Kozhuwa Meen Peera, the Chemmeen Fry and the Prawn Moilee. Every ingredient of every dish I had at Swing stood out and that's the reason I give it a 5 star rating. I think Swing by the Bay is one of the best restaurants in Goa and I'm glad that it isn't anything like the old Swing.
A great place to go to (for Bitsians especially). The Alfredo pasta here is great and so are the jalepeno cheese balls. However the best thing about the place is the customer service provided by the owner Mohit. Really great guy and one should definitely have a shot of Sumbuca with him! Also available are games which you can play while you await delicious food.
Mohit is a great host. The undercut beef fry, Anchovies, and Kerala style fish curry are all yum. They have a bunch of board and card games to keep you entertained. Must visit!

The dishes that I tried were
1. Koonthal Fry: calamari fried in Kerala Masala consisting of red dry chillies, dry coconut pieces, curry leaves, tadka masala. I am glad it didn't have the peculiar coconut oil smell. I loved the dish!
2. Stuffed Mushrooms: it was okay.
3. Caramel pudding: I loved this ! It was served with Vanilla ice cream and it was not over sweet, perfectly balanced in taste and I loved the woobly feel of it.
Service was warm and welcoming.
They had parking (that's so great! Because finding parking on beach side is tough) and the rates were decent.
I was in the vicinity and had to have dinner before boarding my flight form Dabolim. We decided to go here because we saw Kerela as speciality. We’re glad we visited. The place is run by its friendly owner, Mohit. Ask him for recommends if you’re feeling lost on what to order since the menu boasts of Malayali, and American food as specialities.
We ordered fried bangda that was done mallu style - tadka of curry leaves, onions and garlic in coconut oil. The fish was fresh and succulent. For mains, we ordered the stew, appam and Malabar parotta. The stew was light and fresh although I’d preferred more spice. We were told it’s been tailored to suit Western palates. While there was an interesting array of cocktails, we didn’t sample any but surely will the next time round.
Do visit if you’re in the vicinity or simply stop by before heading to or after leaving the airport !
Been here last weekend,, loved the food and itr uis situated far away from the city art bogmsalo beach. More of a hidden gem , this place offers a true foodie experience along with lovely cocktails.Highly recommended for people who just want to escape from the busy streets ansd enjoy a nice evening with good music.

Fantastic new restaurant in bogmalo! They serve steaks and Kerala food. Tried the chicken chettinadd and the piri piri steak. Both were delicious. Definitely recommend.
great kerala food and sone yum American starters. do try the cocktails. we cane here because someone had written about them and we weren't dissapointed. the cocktails are a work of art! try the BBIT for sure.
By far, one of the best cocktails served here. The Watermelon Martini and the Caramel Daiquiri is to die for!
A chill place near the Bogmalo beach, Swing by the Bay offers lovely food and the owners often indulge you in good conversations. Mohit and Kumar, keep it up. We loved the place!

Our goa food trip was ending with a disappointment and we literally swung by the bay after we missed our flight and landed at This place and what a surprise!!! Had our best meal in three days!!! Thank you Mohit for your hospitality and amazing food!!!!
Hearty meals and wholesome conversations- this place fills your heart, not just your stomach. Can’t complain on the food either though! Staying here over few days we tried a wide variety of mix from brilliant eggs in breakfast to The Dominator burger, Chicken Peri Peri steak, bacon wrapped prawns and the divine chemmen fry and prawns moilee. Highly recommend trying a variety of dishes.
This is the only place we have come across for a mix of Kerala and American cuisines in Goa; and they manage to maintain the authenticity of both cuisines. A must visit. And repeat.
P.S: The owners of this little establishment are always around to lend a hand, suggest a brilliant Goan variation of drinks and help you decipher the menu and decode Goa. Do ask them for recommendations and catch a friendly drink.

Ordered appam,nadan chicken curry and chamanthi (spicy coconut chutney) and was bowled over!the food was great and so was the ambience...since I am from Kerala I am slightly more critical of what’s offered under the name of malabari food..however swing doesn’t disappoint..the flavours are true to home..an evening well spent..swing by the bay has a very chill vibrant yet homely vibe..the cocktails were amazing too!its a must try!
Yum Kerala food ... Close to the airport so a good stop over before one catches their flight. They have some rooms as well. So one can stay the last night in case you are catching an early morning flight.
Mohit is the boss! This place surprised us with their beef fry and steaks. The cocktails are pure art. The amount of creativity we experienced in one night was honestly overwhelming. A must visit for anyone near and far away from Bogmalo. :)

This Malabari Bistro in Bogmalo (right next to Bogmalo Beach Resort) was everything. They serve traditional flavours from Kerala and America along with signature cocktails that showcase Goan spirits with award winning mixology. The hosts are amazing people, taking time out to help guests pick from the menu and narrate stories behind each dish. Mohit was kind enough to explain that the “Swing” era that saw the birth of swing music, cocktails, socialising, speakeasies was the reason for naming their restaurant “Swing by the Bay”.
FOOD 5/5:
To start off with, we had Beef fry- strips of undercut beef cured with spices and cooked with coconut bits. For main course we had their Prawn Malabari Biryani- basmati rice with a unique blend of Kerala spices. For dessert we had the Pazam Pori- ripe bananas coated with flour, deep fried.
DRINKS 5/5:
We had the Caramel Daiquiri- a. Rum daiquiri with caramel, lime and a hint of chilli. We had their take on Bloody Mary called “Bloodiest Mary”- never thought wasabi in a drink would be so good! They use local Goan liquor and it is a treat!
The ambience of the place. Is quite simple and relaxed. You can grab a book, enjoy good food and spend hours. You must visit this place!

For vacation. We had heard about this restaurant
Swing by the bay threw a friend. We had decided to go three for diner not knowing what to except.
To our surprise the ambience was quiet nice. There was this gentleman who welcomed us in and showed us to our table..later that evening we found out that he was one of the owners.
My wife and I ordered the hot chicken wings and
Butter garlic prawns to start with. The chicken was perfectly cooked not to hot, but hot enough. The prawns were also cooked very nicely with just enough butter to keep them from drying out.
My wife was already full by now..but I still had a little room left. So I ordered a bacon cheeseburger
Which was cooked to perfection.. The staff was very accommodating and made sure that drinks kept on coming. We would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for good food and drinks..
Last week we went Swing by the way in Bogmalo. Never tried American food before. really liked stuffed. Mushroom and sesume. chicken and ice tea very nice. Nice people and close by beach. I will visit again.
I visited Swing for first time on Saturday. Kerela food was too tasty ! You must try both beef fry and chemmeen fry ! Nice music and owners very friendly to customers.

We went here on their ladies night on Wednesday. great concept of free cocktails for ladies for every inch of heel. I was only carrying flip flops so got only one free drink! They serve Kerala and American food. Personally, I always thought Kerala food was spicy but tried their stew with appam and it was great! try the crunchy mini fish and the chicken 65 also. really unique preparations. They have rooms above the restaurant as well that looked nice. Will definitely swing by again and carry my biggest heels!
Wow is all I can say! Brand new restaurant in Bogmalo and what a start! they serve Kerala food (my favourite) do try the beef fry and malabar parotta. the little bits of coconut and curry leaves really hit the spot. We tried the Kokomo cocktail as well, its their version of the pinacolada and tastes better than the original. Very friendly and cheerful staff and a special mention of the owners of the place that ensure that every customer is content and looked after. will definitely be back for more!
This was my first visit to Swing by the bay and whooaa ! I am really impressed with taste and overall experience. We ordered buffalo chicken wings and Malabar biryani. Both the dishes were really good. Kudos to Mohit & team !

Located close to the Bogmalo Beach resort by the beach, this restaurant not only offers you some delicious kerala food but also serves you the local goan food as well which includes the goan Thali as well. . They have got a kerala chef for the south Indian cuisine and serves u freshly prepared items and it is just simply the best.The service is good. Its a pretty chilled out open air place with some music playing at the background. Since its open air, it gets pretty hot at times especially in this weather.
We tried out their kerala style beef fry, mackeral fish fry( which they write in malayalam in the menu, but the description is mentioned) and Malabar biryani. All the items were wonderfully cooked especially the beef fry.
Swing by the Bay specializes in the cuisines of Kerala.. hard to find in Goa. I tried their delicious chemeen fry and Mulaku curry today must try their thali tomorrow it looks delicious!!!
Wow. We weren't expecting such amazing cuisine from this town or restaurant. The manager clearly explained how the dishes were made. I was skeptical about the house wine (being from South Africa where our wine is top class) but it was super delicious and good quality at only 150 rupees a glass! As for the food, it was insanely good. We had the chicken briyani and prawn curry which had a coconut milk base and we ate every last scrap. We finished everything off by sharing a banofffee tart. Yum!! Prices are reasonable for the quality. Don't let this gem slip by from your food radar! This was one of our top meals in Indian.
Peaceful sitting with occasional loud music. Friendly owner who makes sure you get your taste buds to be satisfied. The restaurant has a Kerala oriented menu but has a space for English dishes too. Food quality and quantity is both good.
Had gone for Lunch, and our waiter John recommended the starters and main course which turned out to be pretty exceptional. He also suggested apple cinnamon strudel, which was good. The only flaw that was there was from the kitchen as the bread for the burger was crumbling and not fresh. Excellent service from John.
We chanced upon here on a Sunday night and experienced a lovely live band, thought we dint have the food, the ambience, the owner and staff made us decide to come back on monday night. Monday night the place was completely empty yet we had dinner and realized coming back was the best decision we made.
The food was mindblowingly delicious, the chicken steak was lovely with its yummy marinate, its mushroom sauce added a unique flavor and was undoubtedly the best mushroom sauce i’ve tasted, the side veggies were perfect.. i could go on about it but you could go and try out the food yourself. The place serves american and kerala cuisine, the staff is polite and courteous and Bablu is worth being mentioned for being very attentive. All in all the best night i spent in goa.
