Ghore Baire offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully encapsulates the essence of authentic Bengali cuisine. The restaurant boasts a decent ambiance and an extensive menu, both of which contribute to a satisfying visit. I had the pleasure of savoring their well-prepared mutton dish, accompanied by delicious rice and paratha. What truly stood out, though, was their flavorful chutney, adding a unique twist to the meal. Whether you prefer à la carte or thali, Ghore Baire caters to both preferences exceptionally well. The restaurant's decor is thoughtfully designed, creating an artistic atmosphere. The presence of Rabindranath Tagore photos and other art pieces inspired by him adds a cultural touch that enhances the overall dining experience. Moreover, I must commend the excellent service provided by the attentive staff, which made us feel truly valued as diners. However, I would like to mention that the washroom facilities could be improved to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. Taking all these factors into account, I would rate Ghore Baire four stars. Despite the minor concern about the washroom, the restaurant's great food, attentive service, and artistic ambiance make it a must-visit spot in Santiniketan for anyone looking to savor the flavors of authentic Bengali cuisine.

Good food. Good mutton thali. Kinda expensive tho. Good atmosphere. Plants available. Lawn available. I ate in lawn in winter sunlight 😎. Fast service during Pous Mela. Lied about ghee availability so minus one star. Also completely forgot about omlette that I ordered. Mutton cooked so well that it was falling from bone. Overall good restaurant.

The food, for the price, was okay. We had chicken pakoda, as a starter, which was a bit undercooked. So the food was underwhelming. Not as great as it is hyped up to be.

Ghare Baire is based at the Bolpur, adjacent to Club Central with a rustic feel and the ambience is great. The Food is tasty too. Opted for Classic Non-Veg Thali (Mutton) which costed Rs.430/- as of 2nd September,23. Do try the Mutton curry here.

Ghore Baire is a must visit for every foodie travelling to Bolpur. This place is as good as any highly reputed restaurant in Kolkata. The food was good as always and the portion sizes are excellent. Probably the best place to enjoy a good meal with friends or family. You can get thalis or even go for ala carte orders as well. They make a lipsmacking kabiraji and the alu posto was awesome as well. They served a paratha that was the size of an entire plate. In the restaurant, you can find a variety of table sizes, so no worries if you're dining in as a big group or a couple. The decor is also a top notch with Instagramable corners all around the restaurant.

Ambience and service was superb. The waiter not only welcomed us with a smile but helped us in choosing the right quantity when we preferred a-la-carte. This was backed by food of extremely high quality. It was a very enjoyable meal.

Nice ambience, the flavour of bolpur and the quality of food they have provided was great.. Best part is their thali is available in evening time also.. Food we have ordered..one veg thali that contains: 1. Rice with ghee 2. Dal and jhuri aloo bhaja 3. Aloo posto 4. Alu potol rosha 5. Chatni 6. Papad 7. Misti 8. Prawn masala (separate) Food was good in taste, prawn should be little fried more, overall it was very good, they will repeat the rice also.. They have their own buisness within the premises, you can check out that also while visiting the restaurant, staffs are very friendly and well-behaved, if you are visiting bolpur and mostly searching for thali at dinner, it's the best place to visit..

Visited on March 08th 2023. The place was too crowded then because of the dol/holi festival. Ordered 2 Nonveg thalis one with masala fish and one with mutton. Personal feedback - The taste- mutton was too bland but the masala fish was tasty (would recommend masala fish) Quantity - since it was a thali, it was wholesome (4 small pieces of mutton and 1 piece fish) Service - good Ambience - good

It would be a sin if you miss this place during your visit to shantiniketan. Everything was fabulous. Food was mouthwatering with perfection in every dish, prices are very reasonable for the quality, relaxed ambience and courteous staff. It made our day.
