Out of quite a few shacks that we tried out near Calangute , Dommat scores more being somewhat organized and providing better service . What i loved was the Cheese Ham omlette and my banana shake for breakfast. Our chicken Hawain salad was no way bad , however they should improve on their salad menu as mayonnaise is the only dressing they make available here.
Quite a nice hangout place on Calangute, we had gone there after Souza Lobo to enjoy the tranquil sunset. And the place lends well to such an exercise as it opens up right to the sea face and the view is not blocked by anything. Coming to the food, we had the Calamari Rings, Prwans Caldin & Rice and King Fish Steaks, and as always with Goan seafood, it was fresh and tasty.
This was the first time I had Caldin, an authentic Goan delicacy, a coconut based curry with a greenish tinge and it was excellent, tasting a little like the Bengali Prawn Malaicurry, but lighter and as flavorful. Good place to chill out.
Amazing food with a peaceful scenery, I got butter and garlic prawns with a mojito, the prawns tasted great and the mojito was on point. Great server as well, I’m recommending this place to my friends.
The shack is located on the Calangute beach. The owner is very co operative. We spent some time here and will never forget this shack. Pocket friendly too!
Hard to explain why this shack is better, we could barely to ourselves but kept coming back. The atmosphere is just right!

Ideal place for someone looking to hang out & chill out with less sound & crowd near to Calangute Beach. The food served here is decently priced, not so expensive compared to other restaurants in the nearby area.

Unexpected shack peaceful place good food with good ambience and very friendly staff value for money and tasty food for that price We had gone with family and there was no usual crowd of drunkard good shack for family

I and my husband have just come back from a very pleasant trip to Goa. We visited Dommat twice and found it to be the best shack on Calangute beach. The food, especially sea food like grilled pomfret and other fishes, is superb. Great and relaxing ambiance. Beer is suitably chilled and juices delicious. Carla, the owner, is always smiling and looks after guests with a personal touch. Meena, another fixture there who is from neighbouring Bijapur does relaxing foot massage, head massage ect. Had a great time and looking forward to going there again.
Service of the Shaq is unique do visit the place and vinicus helped us a lot and people are very good
